if we awarded MMR on hooks, then all the sluggers would end up with the newest survivors,
it would be the equivalent of the game shooting itself in the foot.
-
giving nemesis like a rush mode on a cooldown of like 45 seconds would be heaven.

I would love to have a 5th perk slot if you can not put any slowdown in it. Would be annoying to go against 5 Gen perks. But if it excluded those would be cool if there was a way to do that
Sure, ill just put one information perk in that slot and slowdown in all the others.

That is not a bad idea. I queued up for killer in 2v8, but have never been willing to wait the 20-45 minutes to get one match and instead just played survivor.
To clarify, Im open to playing Survivor games to build up to like 3 fast queue Killer games, but..
Im also open to like, a single bot per 3 players every other game.

I think bots are okay, most times a bot is better than your average Sable Ward.
It all depends on how many bots we will have each game and if it takes priority over the incentive system.Of all the ideas on the last Survey, I think I was most positive about a quick queue system based on how many Survivor games you played, like if I played 5 2v8 I would be awarded 1 ticket for the fast lane for Killers. I understand 2v8 is popular and I would gladly play 30 games of Survivor, for three fast queue games with my buddy. That is a fair deal in my mind.

Nah, my friend and I are literally in the same room together and we'll have different queue bonuses. It's not just region.
huh well thats interesting.

It should be, otherwise it wouldn't happen we see different bonuses (same server, same time), no?
Pretty sure, its based on location, not MMR.
If it was, then we could backwards engineer and figure out who was in the same MMR groups
I have +25% on Survivor in Northern Europe rn.

It's probably because they don't want Ambush to be amazing AND have you run Timer/Gears (or double gears) at the same time. You either have to pick between buffed traps or buffed ambush.
Then they should rebalance those, not gatekeep good gameplay behind specific addons. Addons are supposed to make slight adjustments to the power, not enable their viability, they should be viable at base kit.
-
@fussy said:
Literally was about to create same post. My survivor queue is 4-5 minutes, killer queue is almost instant and I have 25%-50% bonus on survivors. Idk what's going on.
I could be wrong, but I dont think there are bonuses on specific MMR ranks.
-
I cant understand why bHVR the ambush be absolutely awesome to use when you have Workshop Grease and Last Will, but almost unbareably useless without those addons. Maybe BHVR knows something I don't in the stats, but it seems they have created a bottleneck with her addons for me, because I will always use Workshop Grease and Last Will on Pig before any other of her other addons.
I pray every night that they change those addons and make increase the Movement speed during the Ambush Dash Attack by +6 % to her base kit, that would solve her for me it, at least until they have the time to give her a proper addon pass to really improve her.
The Addon Bottleneck Problem in Dead by Daylight occurs when two addons—either powerful outside of low rarity types or simply too fun—dominate both gameplay and skill level for a player. This forces players to rely on these addons while limiting the use of others. As a result, variety is reduced, strategies become predictable, and experimentation with the Killer’s other addons is discouraged, making the experience feel addon-reliant, repetitive, and lacking in diversity.

I agree that Nemesis needs more, if you play RE3 Remake and then switch to DBD. You will see an absolute tonal shift.
RE3 Remake Nemesis:
- Nemesis has a diverse arsenal, including a rocket launcher, flamethrower, and his iconic tentacle attacks.
- His movements are fluid and dynamic, allowing him to leap or burst through environments to chase the player.
- Nemesis is highly aggressive, relentless, and terrifying. His AI is designed to pressure the player constantly, making him a daunting adversary. He dynamically stalks Jill and adapts to her movements, creating an intense cat-and-mouse experience.
DBD Nemesis:
- His primary power is the tentacle strike, which infects survivors with the T-Virus, slowing them down momentarily and making them vulnerable.
- The inclusion of AI-controlled zombies is unique, but they are often considered inconsistent and lack the menacing presence of Nemesis himself.
- His behavior in DBD is constrained by the game mechanics. He feels less like a relentless bioweapon and more like a strategic killer who relies on specific abilities (tentacle strikes and zombies). The pacing of DBD also dilutes his "unstoppable" persona, as survivors can outmaneuver him through game mechanics like pallets and loops.
While everyone agrees that Nemesis in DBD CANNOT be the Nemesis in RE3 Remake, it is beyond clear to anyone who plays those games that DBD Nemesis is lacking. I voted for Nemesis to be next in line for reworks after Twins or Freddy for this reason.
bHVR did a fine job, but I think its time for them to reopen that chapter and do more.
Here is a list of improvements that I think would really spice up his gameplay.
1 His ability to level up is great, it increases the threat as the match goes on. But currently the max potential is reached at like 4 gens and Nemesis is only slightly more oppressive. Also his level up sound is weirdly out of place, I think his new level up should be him screaming at the top of his lungs, even if it takes a small animation to do so, then give him haste right after to catch up.
2 His levels also need to be improved, Nemesis needs to gain mutation by doing actions through the match and each level needs to do more than just increase his whip. I am thinking like a built in FireUp to do all actions faster and faster, even running faster at the end of the match.
3 He needs a way to combo m1 attacks continued, make it a mutation level if need be.
4 after a mutation level has been reached, the nemesis should have temporary increased speed and attack speed.
5 The AI of the zombies need vast improvements OR he needs more of them, and they need a running animation for that special addon that makes them go super fast.
6 His footsteps should be louder and slightly shake the environment for Survivors.
7 He needs to scream/ groan at S.T.A.R.S. members.
8 He needs an equipable mori, that is him pulling out a rocket launcher from a box and then just blowing up the survivor.
9 some of the later levels in mutation should via an addon allow nemesis to break walls and dropped pallets by walking into them during mutation temporary buff.
I hope BHVR is inspired to give Nemesis more than just an addon pass, because Nemesis needs to be an unforgetable Killer, imo.
-
What if we add "Survivor exclude" system that would allow us to exclude 3 Survivors from our queue?
-
Accurate someone did this to me last night, please make sure you report the exploiters.
-
I didnt have someone do it, but it certainly looked like someone was trying to do this to me last night.
-
last time we checked, SWF didnt really increase win chances by much.

What? Why would having damage control be seen as them admitting to it? This is why companies have PR in the first place. Plus, they've already committed the wrong—it's too late. The pandora's box is open and there's no putting it all back and pretending like they didn't do it. They (or someone(s) in BHVR) is choosing not to address this and makes them look bad from every possible angle.
Well, they had enough time to make a post about stats on the 10th on all their social media sites (plus Steam). Not to mention the fact they had time to warn people about the region lock way before—hell they could've done it after they took down the Chinese trailer days ago.
They can hand out Auric Cells to Fog Whisperers and people on Reddit like candy, they can quickly take away cosmetics (like Dowsey's Twitch shirt removal), there's no reason why they can't easily resolve this.
I don't know why you're defending this behavior (no pun intended) with how bad it's gotten. Because as it stands, it's so hard to want to trust in them now and for the foreseeable future. Any, ANY reassurance to try and rebuild that trust is better than this silence.I'm not defending their actions, I'm trying to explain their behaviour. It isn't an excuse for them either.
-
@fussy said:
Yeah, except the thing you can literally stay in the pallet and wait for grab, then instantly stun the dog. Somehow every survivor in my matches knows this, but no one on the forums, as always. Sky is falling and no counterplay. Not like every third killer can hit you through the pallet, only Houndmaster can.
This isnt bad if Survivors do that, it means you destroy a pallet. Win win situation.

I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, I really would. But this whole thing is out of hand. There is no damage control. They aren't doing anything. They're posting up how to get your 2024 stats (which also apparently barely work?) instead of making any form of statement after stealing from their patrons.
Even if those messages were a mistake, they unfortunately have a history when it comes to their support team and it's hard to to give the benefit of the doubt when multiple people have had bad experiences (prior to this incident). I'm tired of making excuses for them, even when it comes to their business. Feels like they have no strategy at this point.
I wanted to think they were better than scummy EA but it's slowly looking like they aren't. BHVR isn't showing people that they care, one of the most important things when it comes to a active community and playerbase you're trying to foster.
I may not have been very vocal, but I've been around since the beginning of DBD. I've seen how they reacted over the years to various concerns, the toxicity in the game/community, the bugs, etc. It's all gone downhill since and showed no signs of stopping (especially after the sudden mass layoffs).
I don't even know how many people left in BHVR still care about what they're creating. I WANT to care about DBD. I WANT to care about BHVR. But this? It could've been avoided. This is sad. This is shameful.Doing damage control might also be seen as them admitting to a mistake? Like name any time in the past where BHVR making a public statement, was not just pouring gas on the fire. Its us, we literally train BHVR to not tell us anything because we react so wild.
Remember when they responded in a calm reasonable manner to the P100 cosmetic question? HELLFIRE ERUPTED!
Also how fast do you want a public statement? like they are on weekend right now. the big reddit post was on Thursday?

I'm unsure if I think the AI part should be out, its very unique and I thought the changes were pretty good on the PTB.

The transparency they should be giving was to tell players their content would be region locked, I'm not asking for every intricate detail that goes into their collabs/chapters. I'm asking for their PR team to step up their game. This is straight up misleading since they advertised the Junji Ito stuff everywhere with no warning and took down the Chinese trailer for it without so much as a word. It's not about collecting data, there's no guarantee it's even something to "fix" because there's no telling if they have control over the region lock or not.
They've already said they wouldn't refund (case in point): https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1hxk4ib/the_bhvr_scam_me_out_of_2500_gold_cells/ and are acting like it's the player's fault for something they didn't tell them. The way they're treating the people that keep their game alive is abysmalI've tried to "let them cook" but it's clear even with time they can't. Hell, it took them 8 years just to fix Freddy. They don't care when they should. BHVR isn't a little indie company anymore, they've gone far from where they started. They have the money and manpower to give their games the polish they deserve. Especially since what they created has so much potential, but they aren't putting in the effort to make it shine which is a massive shame.
Well, I'm still going to let them cook, cause they still might do a "Hey, sorry about that, previous message was an error."
Even IF they don't have a clear picture and would like to admit to that in emails right now.Sometimes you have to think like a Company to understand BHVR, shifting your perspective to prioritize minimizing risk, maximizing profit, and maintaining control over liabilities.
This means focusing on strategies like careful wording to avoid promises, strictly following contracts and policies, and viewing decisions through a lens of financial and legal impact rather than personal empathy. It’s about seeing customers as stakeholders to be managed rather than purely as individuals to be pleased. While it can seem cold, it’s a mindset designed for efficiency and self-preservation.
This is why I prefer to take a balanced approach to this, knowing how a company acts internally will see the reason in the madness.
-
Excellent, and about damn time.
If only they would give us a reward on Live for every match played fully in PTB, they I would be super happy. -
What OTHER emails will I get if I allow personalized emails in the future, bHVR dearest?
-
There is no way BHVR would give you the transparency you really want, it would be bad for licence holder relationships to just be transparent about their deals. It would also be incredibly complicated understanding and explaining laws for every country.
Just slap a "Not available in some countries." on every advertisement material, problem solved for the future.
However I hope BHVR will be able to get a refund for the people who for some reason, was able to buy it and then it was region locked. Something major seems to have gone wrong on the technical side, reading the EULA they have no obligation to help you, but I know BHVR wants to be known to provide a good service, so they are probably already working hard to do so.
You might say, why dont they say that to me, will in the event they cant, they will have to default to the basics and that would be like they promise it to us and they dont make good on it, So give BHVR time to cook on this, they need to do many things now the ball is in their court.
They need to collect data on this, fix the error that caused the problem, figure out the legal hoops and they probably need to contact the licence holder to get the money back for refunds, or worse pay it out themselves. This will probably take weeks.
-
This seems like a good idea, Sadako and Xenomorph's Objects seems to work a whole lot better when they are placed at an impactful place. As well as being able to give Survivors a proper jumpscare. Like if you watch the movies or read the book, Sadako never came out of the TV in the room down the hallway. It was a thing where it was meant to be a threatening supernatural even, in the view of victims.
-
Lucky you, the roadmap was released less than 20hours ago.
Looks like Jan 28th.
-
everyone is hoping for anti-longterm-slugging mechanics.
-
I don't think the Community Managers even know the full reason, you need a lawyer, politician or businessman to figure out all these details. The thing is BHVR is absolutely well trained in handling their licence-holders, so they would never say anything bad about something they are working with, incase this created a storm of bad social media.
Like, please suggest that BHVR should spill the beans, but they wont cause it can be hurtful for business.
You would have to ask the licence holder, but they have no reason to give you an answer either. -
I think it would help if you had a gif of the problem you wanted fixed or changed.
I'm guessing there is a spot you see where there is a metal weapon but the animations are making it move it unrealistic ways?Like name the skin, get the location down, show a clip.
BHVR is busy making a bunch of stuff, so they cant spend time looking over everything for bugs, but they are likely to be able to fix animation problems fast if they know exactly where it is. -
@Choaron said:
Realm repeat prevention is dumb. Not being able to get Ironworks just because you got Shelter Woods previous match is nonsensical.
You can still use a Map offerings if you really wish to go into Ironworks. It overrides the system as per usual.
-
I think that would be great, but to do this, BHVR need a system the changes the skin and power models for Killers with particular, the Houndmaster seems to have this, because of the skin. How about we keep the Pirate theme, and turn the Dog into a Shark, and uhm, now shes the Sharkmaster. The shark just floats where Snug would run.
Other phobias could be solved the same way,
Emetophobia (fear of vomiting)
Plague could become Ashen Plague, who summons Ash Streams by her magical Faith and infects Survivors who need to go wash off. the Plague vomit could easily be disguised as Ash and her vomit sounds changed to a drying cough?
Coulrophobia (fear of clowns).
The Clown is now a rich Oil Baron who throws Oil at you.
Honestly, these would be great legendary skins, and BHVR could provide them for free for people who want to turn it on.
I mean idd buy a Power swap skin for Plague and Clown. Dont make phobias a weakness to your game, make it make money.BHVR should totally figure out a list of the most common phobias and work IMIDIATLY to give those killers the same Power skin ability as Houndmaster, well maybe visit Twins first, give that lil guy a tophat.

The release of the Mount Ormond Mine Map was a great idea. It would be awesome to see more new Maps that are not releated to new Chapters/Characters. That way we could get Maps for older Chapters, like for All-Kill or maybe even licenced maps, like the Hell Labyrinth from Hellraiser or Draculas Castle from Castlevania. Past Chapters have so many great Opportunities and Locations as Maps. Or maybe even licenced Maps that are not related to any Killer or Survivor, like a Hostel Movie Map for example.
New Ormond Map was in the Legion Comic I believe.

Not at all. But my god do I want them too. I -want- to know why they decided one thing over another, why they implemented the way they did, etc. Do you not have any of this curiosity? Its fine of course, just figured it wasn't just me.
I'm not curious, because I know they don't want to be questioned on every little decision they ever made, because the problem with that would be people would rage over unsatisfying answers, as has happened in the past, many times. Too many.
If I wonder about a decision, I think critically about it and look up Game Design explanations on those issues.

Brother, I should not be expected to leave the room every time something I dislike appears on the screen. Would you tell people who were motion sick against Clown's older gas effects to "turn their head away from the screen and unplug the sound and plop fingers in their ears"? I would rather allow her to ensure she kills me second to last, or simply ensure she does not get the chance to Mori me. She gets the same exact result, she still gets her Kill and she probably gets the Mori on someone else in a round that is most likely already over when there's only 2 people left at 2-3 gens. The result is the exact same for everyone involved, my discomfort is simply lessened if I do this.
Please don't be this tonedeaf. Please. There are people with emetophobia, there are people that recovered from eating disorders. It goes deeper than just "turn off and leave", by the time you see it happen it's already a problem.
Why do I have to suffer and do something inconvenient others don't have to just because you want to see your Mori? Why can't YOU just watch it on Youtube or something?
Well Clown is different, you are expected to survive his gas potentially and they implemented fixes for it, but Plague mori is stationary and requires no input. I imagine it would be easy to look down or away from screen and kill the sound via headset, or use fingers if you dont use headset. I am not trying to make fun of your condition nor am I tone death to your issues.
I was asking you a question and I didn't say turn it off and leave, you are making a strawman of my question because I insulted you and I'm sorry, I didn't intend to insult, but I wanted to know why. please accept my apologies.
I think you would need a different solution if the problem is already started by the time the mori is out, and I have voted up for solutions for people with your condition regarding Plague in the past, idd like to see it for you, but even so idd rather see her shoot lasers out or her eyes and have a mori where she eyeball grills you.

More sage advice, imo. This is ideal but we all know people will be people and need their info. BHVR had a lot of solid plans for how DBD works, but almost all of them feel half assed or just lazy. MMR shouldn't be such a fantastical beast that we can't see it. And if seeing it will 'damage the game' somehow, then I'd like them to explain. They just look silly atm.
Thusly boned who posted above me, has a good view imo and I can agree with pretty much all of it. MMR in general is just a dangling fruit players will continue to chase. Working as intended.
I mean you can look up Game Design Knowledge on Google, Wikipedia to see all the pros/cons, like do you honestly need BHVR specifically to explain why to you?
-
My friends don't watch the bar on the side, but they probably will see this if its in middle of the screen.

I think that's fair, but then again doesn't it seem pointless to let it be for the last guy and nobody else?
I don't like Plague's Mori. I never wanna die last against her, and I never want her to Mori me, I genuinely get nauseous and can't handle it, it ruins my night and my games. If I can't win against her, I almost always try to be sure I'm second to last to die, or at least try to make sure my team doesn't unhook me towards the end JUST so I do not get Mori'd by her. That is how bad it affects me. I'd gladly take an option to skip her Mori every time.
But for me as Killer, a Mori is special and I want to give it to the person I find most deserving of seeing the cool animation. It's meant to be a cool reward that you got the special animation in my eyes, not a taunt and certainly not a means to kick the other side when they are down nor a victory dance. It's not in any way toxic ot the same as humping ot teabagging are, it's just a special animation you got to see as a reward for being the last one out. Maybe being Mori'd should GIVE some points, since you got the coolest kill? Would that take the sting from it?About the Plague Mori, why don't you turn head away from the screen and unplug the sound and plop fingers in your ears?
-
I'm going to say it, I think a lot of suggestions here are taking a lot of ideas they want in the game, and piggybacking them on the narrative to help new players. All of us, except BHVR with their stats, could have opinions of what WOULD help new players, but often you will be hard-pressed to find the connection between the proposed solution and any meaningful way it will become good for new peeps or retain them for longer in the game.
1 Reworking bad/niche universal/free perks
They are already doing this, its an ongoing process, but reworking perks takes time, research and development of solutions.
It will not be done any time soon, but also you mention This Is Not Happening as a bad perk, Do you.. do you even know how busted 30% bigger great skill zones is. Never mind it.
2 Simplifying/Changing the emblem system
I agree Emblems could use look at, but simplifying it to focus on certain goals instead of the broad idea of good gameplay is bad.
The whole idea of the Emblem system right now is that it encourages fair gameplay by instructing players to play fair to get the reward, chances are this game would be a hellhole without it. I'd prefer not to lose the pressure it provides. How does this help new players, they don't have a clue about it or is actively trying to pursue the goal of it, further more I doubt most of them even play enough to warrant any investment into that system, Nah rather the First Match of the Day system works way better for new people.
3 You can try killers you don't own in custom matches.
Now this is a great idea for anyone looking to buy a Killer, someone who has shards or cash on hand. The reason we have the shard system is carefully made so that one might unlock characters at a pace that feels good. I have seen other suggestions that there should be free weeks, where you can try a paid for Killer for free and level them, but will be locked again. This is all nice ideas, because it gives people a chance to try out the product and it incentivizes BHVR to keep all Killers up to peak to encourage sales. But a new player, is already really bad at the game, trying out the Killer against bots or friends even will make you rip your hair out honestly. New players probably have some shards, but enough to buy a character? But if they are still bad then those games will still be bad, how does that encourage retention?
4 Make a more detailed in-game tutorial
Oh we are gonna disagree hard here, I see the tutorial personally as a bad way to do it, I fear BHVR may have wasted resources here, but it gets you the basic concept sure, but I think people who want to play this game, I'm pretty sure has the basic concept down. But my reasoning is that this game has so many examples, nuances etc that proper skills that a new player would need would take a colossal amount of tutorials, not to mention the cost to produce the tutorial. Lastly I don't think it would matter, the reason is when I introduced the game to my friends here over Christmas, some of them took the tutorial and they were bored out of their minds and I agree with them, taking a tutorial is incredibly boring when you just want to play with your friends. This is a problem.
I would never study a tutorial closely, I'm trying to game, this isn't school, leave me alone.
So I think those in game tutorials are bad, time consuming and wastful of BHVR's money, the best way I have ever been tutorialized about DBD was watching the 2nd and 3rd Dev Diaries from the DBD YouTube channel. The recent tutorial content on Youtube isnt bad, but I find the lacking setting up player mindset. There is real theme watching a developer who poured their blood sweat and tears into an experience, telling you how to play it and enjoy it, their job is to understand a gamer's brain.
Dev #2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gtu153S5y6oDev #3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS3DvvOQI04
Furthermore I think a tutorial with videos that was done really well has to be the videos in Savage 2: A Tortured Soul, that also had a dev to do commentary on a skilled player's video file, explaining why, how and what to look for, It was bloody excellent.
My own solution for this problem for BHVR would be to invest more into videos and much more into the Loading screen tips.
But to round up the point, I think these in game tutorial are wasteful, compared to video options.
5 Improved search function
Again, a great idea for the quality of the game, the Search function absolutely needs to be better, not only that we need a system for Copy/paste in builds via a Short Code. it would be great for streamers who take requests, it would be great for people who share builds or for people who want to copy and try something, just #GH734 and boom you can get right into gaming. idd love to see it.But New Players get so little value out of the perks, they wont have exotic perks or are likely to miss an addon, they benefit a lot less from these suggestions.
6 Communication improvements
I want this so much, I was trying to get a Haddie to follow me today but she was running away. A chat wheel with a range limit and basic commands, follow, stop, run, hide, take this. Would be perfect. And this one is very likely to also help new people. 👍️If BHVR needs inspiration of how to do a chat-wheel, please do it but do it as open and wide as the hit PS2 game, RE: Outbreak File 1&2 perfect dialogue options, versatile for a game that is repeated many times.
7 Offerings should be universal
Yes, I do want this too. No Argument here. But how does this help new people, they wont have a large stock of offerings anyway.
8 Fixing collision
If you see a collision that is bad then report it here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/categories/bugs its the only way we can combat it, BHVR wont go through every object in the game and check it, that would be so much work. This also does not help or retain new people as new people are often so bad at the game, that they would call any whiff and missed hit a problem on the game's part anyway, I was lagging.
9 Shrine of secrets update
Yeah the Shrine needs a shine over, get it? Personally I have always felt that the shrine should contain 2 to 3 specific for New Survivors in addition to the normal selection, BHVR has gone on record of saying they like to create perks for new people every time they create perks, those perks should have specifically 2 slots to provide a selection for new people. That would be great for them.10 Random loadouts button in loadout menu.
YAAAAAAS PREACH IT QUEEN, I wanted this for so long, I am personally looking forward to the system that BHVR has promised us that shows what a perk does on the main screen, when you first load in, I think that would be a sick feature to have in the main game and not just chaos shuffle. But I don't think it will help new people understand what effects the Killer does very well. These were all excellent ideas, but I think you ought to be more critical of your explanations on how it actually addresses the Core New Player Challenges of picking up this game. Like with in-game tutorials, the fact that they are boring and they are eating into the player's game time. But then again this is what this forum is for, to have that discussion, to refine the idea and have BHVR check out our eventual insights. This makes a good start though, loads of stuff to address.

it's been months since i've been unable to pick it up... I'm talking about pre-dracula stuff...
Could you record a Video of it? I think the developers would appreciate confirmation. Post it to Youtube and share the link here.

Thanks I was unaware. No serious I really didn't know lol.
See this is what I mean, when I say BHVR OUGHT to include all the details in the Loading Screen.
There are 35 Killers, nobody can keep track of 39 Killers in their head, especially when there are 43 Killers. This is why I think Survivors need better Loading Screen tips to help with the 47 Killers, it would also help with new players when they have to learn 52 Killers.

I don't think this is gonna happen, atleast not for such unique issue, but you ought to be able to contact support here:
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/newIf you explain your problem and fill out the form right, I'm sure they would help you friend by reducing her items.
But no clue if this is actually whats the problem. -

There is a delay before you can pick it up, it's always visible but fully materializes over time and it has no effect before then, when you're being hunted and you hear the loud horn sound that means you can pick it up.
By default, you have to wait 5 seconds for Carnifex and Assassin and 10 seconds for Jailer, but longer patrol paths can increase that time by up to double (meaning Jailer hunts can take 20 seconds before you can pick up the banner). There is also an addon (Sharpened Mount) which increases the time by an additional 15%.
As far as I know, the Horn will sound when you can grab it.

Honestly I have not had an angry Russian in endgame chat for longer than I can remember, must be in a different MMR from me.

Video Example would be great here. Sounds like a really big bug if it is true.

I'm used to the system now, don't really want to learn another system (again).
Nobody is advocating for a new system, just better shortcuts.

Man I wish this was true, but when I play trickster, the Survivors break off my butt and hand it back to me.
