The Licence holder has his fees though, he cant use Iridescent Shards.
Basicly you are asking bHVR to hand out free money.

5 games in a row? idk seems suspect to me.

- Yes give all maps a snowy wipe.
But I want more snowmen! They are allies to the Killer. (mostly)

Sounds like a cool addon idea, but you want the Knight for that.

YUP.

All the time when I see someone use this perk, Im watching our team die while one fool going into the basement for 2min.
This is the biggest flaw with the whole mechanic, you hurt your team way more than the benefit of the perk in most games. Its boring to sit still for 1min and being broken is like the worst too. I would never willingly use these perks in the current state.

we had a chance to remove red moris but noooo.

that is entire point of his stealth. to be unpredictable assassin. What would you give him if he did not have this? he is fairely weak killer.
I dont think we have the data to determine Ghostface's strength, I want to see killrate over mmr for that.
All I know when I play Survivor everyone dies like all the time.
-
99% stalked Ghostface is just awful gameplay, it needs a change.
Why because if I was exposed idd react diffrent, but if im 0.3 sec from and I dont know how screwed I am I dont.

No, Unknown has not been a good Killer this year.

Speaking as someone who has this Killer in my rotating roster, Pinhead IS just a fancy M1 Killer.
His chases go long. His chains are more for hindering, nothing else. The Box can be just as much taken hostage and used against him as he can use it against Survivors. He doesn't really "rely on SoloQ not knowing what to do", his counter is there, it's just harder to coordinate against a Killer that requires teamwork if you're not all working as a team together. Something that happens often in SoloQ.
We cannot, should not, and must not change Killers and their playstyles based on them having counters that people find too hard. Rather we should educate how to play against those Killers better instead. It starts with teaching people to go for the Box in this case as if he has no control on the Box, he basically has no passive slowdown and is just a fancy M1 Killer with a hindering tool.
Your title here is nonsensical, OP. Because Pinhead IS an M1, so you're not actually saying "M1 Pinhead should not be allowed". You're actually saying, "Pinhead shouldn't be in the game." And that's not a fair thing to say about a high B low A tier Killer that maybe 2% of people play to the maximum of his capabilities, because he's finicky and difficult and not a lot of people like his gameplay loop. If anything, Pinhead could use a pass on his power, his chains, his addons, his gameplay loop, and more - all as BUFFS and FIXES to issues he has to make him more enjoyable to play as well as vs.
Then we agree in what should happen to Pinhead, but for different reasons. But you are reading way way too much into the title.

I also got the same problem at RPD just today, when a Sable jumped into a Hatch, my game everything in the game froze but me and then it disconnected me from the game.
I got some RPD Offerings, I want to see if I can make this happen on purpose.
I was unable to replicate the issue, however its curious that my problem ALSO was in RPD and that the game is running normally right after the disconnect. I can assume that the client does not know when the game ends unless the Server tells them and if that message is lost, the client is unable to end it.
But Ill continue.

his chains so worthless because they break in 1 second. you slow yourself more then actual chain slowing them. you lose distance for missing them more so than reward. I assume that after get through freddy rework, pinhead needs positive changes on proactive using his ability because his ability sucks vs good players,
Agreed, I quickly found out how futile it is to even use those chains thats why I stopped playing him.
bHVR never took the hint.Like I would say feedback on why a person would quit a Killer would be valuable, but anyone here would argue against it.
Same way with Singularity and now hes like made way more easy to play with his last patch. -

By that logic every killer in the game should be changed when survivors decide it's too much of a hassle to learn how to counter a killer.
What is the Skull merchant?

I agree with this.

Or just provide better tips? Pinhead is one of the much more interactive killers to face. He doesn't need fixing when there's already a solution. You're making excuses for bad players that were going to die regardless if it was Pinhead or not. Blight is played so much more, but that doesn't immediately make him easier to play against.
Why would a better tip work better if the player has no incentive to get better at the strategies? Just go next who cares.

The issue with this is people who don't know what to do with the box. That is a player issue. You find the box, you solve the box and now Pinhead no longer has a passive slowdown. Better yet, he doesn't find the box himself to start a chain hunt.
You're asking the devs to change a killer because people don't know how to counter him when its an easy enough counter.
Its not a player issue. the player will get killed and get down into a lower MMR, the game will continue as normal.
How is this an issue for the Player if they cant care less about how a killer works or kill them. They will be on to the next trial soon. There is no incentive to actually learn to play against the a Killer which 2% of Killers play.
Rather its better to fix the Killer, make the gameplay intuitive, make sure your players know how to play the game.

I agree. It's useful for trends and can sometimes line up with the data the devs put out themselves. But Nightlight lacks global coverage, both literally and figuratively.
its not even useful for trends, like if you are worried about something cause you saw it on nightlight.
you could make a post asking if X is showing inaccuracies. But most likely bHVR is working on it or have plans for later. -
A mute option would be nice, but I disagree with you, it isnt a problem.
-
Nightlight does not have the complete picture, they could be widely inaccurate.
Nightlight cant be used as an argument vs bHVR's stats. -
I agree, events such as these should have their offerings stack to simulate both sides coming together.
It would be may more fun then. Also event offerings should be tied to account, not individual character.
Dont force me to level a Killer im not doing atm to get event offerings pls
-
Consider the rate P100s already get good items and addons.
A way for those players get the good items ever more could be harmful to other people's enjoyment. What if people just used the items they had instead of lusting after the best of all the items?
-
I agree, it would be great if Survivors were unable sacrifice themselves on hook too.
To do this, bHVR should make a system that if the game becomes into a dire state where survivors are losing, the Survivor should automatically fire off their unhook attempts. A Dire state would be if everyone is downed and you are hooked.

and let us use BP Offerings, please - especially after the pathetic low bonus between 50 - 150% for survivors during the second 2v8.
Good idea, but idk if the Offering system is ready for 10 offerings.

If you file a report with the footage at https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=9329839132180
Even if you dont have the names of the players, a look at the players names on your footage will narrow the specific game down.

Killer Main here, honestly it didnt feel gamebreaking in 2v8, but it didnt feel strong as survivor.

The skill description does not state that performing a striking action will invalidate the Informal Survey skill
Wait WHAT?
Your right, you found a bug? Lemme just check the perk in-game…
No, it does not disable on those actions. The Wiki seems incorrect.
Are you sure it was not by Deep Wound then?
-
feels like the same to me, I dont think they have touched it at all.
-
It's clear by design that killers cannot go for at least more than 5 to 6 hook states throughout a trial,
Me who reaches at least 8 hooks before the Killing starts. 🤐

How much have you played her after the bug fixes? I honestly thought she needed a nerf but after reading the notes it seems like (if they truly did fix the pathing/getting stuck on walls) houndmaster players can officially start dunking on survivors hard especially with decent builds. In other words- I don't think these changes will make her any weaker.
Thats right, bHVR is watching all the stats come in after this update and that will tell them if they made a mistake or not.

If they just nuke that white fence vault at the school entrance, then we are good.

In my opinion, offerings should never have an influence of a match. Map offerings are too strong, easy to abuse, and unhealthy for the game. But I highly doubt the developers will remove them. The best thing they can do is to rework them, so they now reduce the chance to go to that realm instead of increasing it. This would also help players who dislike a specific realm (e.g. I hate Eyrie not only for being so boring but also for being so bright that it hurts my eyes and many survivors dislike indoor maps). I also think the hook offering should be reworked because nearly no one uses them but when they use it, it is often alongside a map offering and boring "rather bleed me out and hold me hostage".
The healthiest thing offerings should do is to give BP and the developers should also rework useless offering in offering that give us extra Player XP and rift fragment Points. I like to use BPS and cakes because this gives every player at least something good no matter how the match ends.
If they rework them to cause less of a chance, then I think they just ruined them. People don't want barely useful addons.
Honestly retire them all and then get to work on making new Offerings that change other stuff in trials and when those are released, make them replace the retired map offerings. That way nobody loses anything of value or if that isnt feasible, retire the map offerings and return blood points to the owners for the worth of the offerings. not value lost and we can have peace and play.
-
@Valimure said:
The ideas surrounding map offerings have been there for years. I've always thought they should block that realm from appearing rather than bring you to it as a sort of "ban" system like a lot of competitive games do.
I much rather have there be no map influence via offerings, except only via the system that is supposed to make sure each player goes to a new realm the next map. the system of which the map offerings override.
-
@YamamuraVideoRentals said:
Bingo. There have been many complaints about map offerings giving "unfair advantage". So bhvr finally does something, and makes it a little easier to bring sacrificial wards. Seems fair enough. I still don't usually see them in most lobbies.
I don't want to use them, its such a bad design, they want me spend this offerings profusely to protect myself from awful maps? When do I then get to use my salty puddings? Survivors have 4 offering slots, I have 1 all they need it 1 offering.
I will never praise this as fair, cause it simply isnt. The only sensible thing would be delete map offerings imo
Which would be nice cause im tired of wasting my bloodpoints of map offerings that dont benefit the specific Killer im playing as. -
There is no perk called informal investigation, but I like a translation challenge… let see you get a state could be health state or endurance. For 80 sec, and so its gonna be Off the Record, most likely.
Perks like Off the Record can get disabled prematurely by doing a Conspicuous Actions; aka things that progress the game.
- Blessing a Totem
- Cleansing a Totem
- Healing yourself or other Survivors
- Opening an Exit Gate
- Performing an Invocation
- Repairing a Generator
- Sabotaging a Hook
- Unhooking other Survivors
Did you do any of these?
Doing any of these disable perks like; Buckle Up, Made for This, Off the Record, Soul Guard and We Gonna Live Forever. If you didnt, it would be a good idea to report the game this happened in via:
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=9329839132180
or in the Future if it happens again. - Blessing a Totem
-
I dont think bHVR installs Servers in regions due to Inclusivity, they know how many players connect from the region and how much money they make from those players. I'm sure if it made great business sense you would have had a server in the region now.
-
Killers dont slug for the fun of it,
I know at least 50 that do and would slug for the fun of it.
-
Honestly that user has an unhealthy grudge against bHVR and they would basicly do anything and the worst legal behaviour against other players in this game to try to win and to get at bHVR, its best to ignore them.
Slugging is a great problem for the enjoyment of DBD and I wish it could be easily solved, however this isnt the case, but 2v8 shows promise and it means bHVR is into testing such systems, so that is great.
As a Survivor, if you try to be realistic how long should you be slugged before you should be able to pickup yourself?
My estimate is somewhere 30 to 40sec. -
You can all jump into Unreal Engine right away and start making a map, bHVR does not need to make a map maker engine for you.
-
I wish Slinger has an addon where he takes the chain off and just shoots a harpoon at Survivors.
Let multiple harpoons pierce survivors and get stuck, each harpoon hinders survivors by 5% -
Pallets are not a gamble if you pre-drop, if you want to stun the Killer at every pallet, you risk a lot.
-
You do know Survivors do the Run, Stop, Run, Stop, Walk, Run, Stop, Walk ?
Like are you guys sure its not just Survivors do that? Like if a Survivor ran in a straight line? -
I hope hangmans trick future iterations has the effect of turning sabotarged hooks into scourge hooks when they respawn

You have way more trust in bHVR than I ever had…
Like really what is downside of unlocking first tier when you purchase the character? It would make things so much easier for starting players.
what is downside of unlocking first tier when you purchase the character?

I do not think you are getting in the shoes of a new player, probably you did not even know anybody that got into the game in the recent years. The game is extremely NOT begginer friendly and the current bloodpoint gains is godawful for them more than for anybody, it takes forever for them to get to unlock a survivor perk (if lucky from an OG character that they can unlock through Iri Shards), double the effort if we go to the case of killers that they are actually different between each other + need addons and not only the perks. You are seeing this issue from your point of view (assuming you are a veteran) and you are not taking into consideration that not everybody is in your possition, and even if a veteran…
Also, not everybody has the same incentive to play this game and some people just in general find it rewarding and enjoyable to be able to grind comfortably and that does not take away anything from you. It is perfectly valid to not be content with how the grinding/bloodpoint gains are at the moment. If you just see it as something to do between games more power to you and that is awesome, but I would prefer not have to kill time tabbing out and watching Youtube video and instead be able to spend more than 40,000 bloodpoints that you can get per match if lucky bringing certain offerings.
Ah, au contraire. I just recently had the pleasure of introducing 3 friends to the game during the excellent 2v8.
I knew it would wet their whistle for the game, one of them even decided to become a Deathslinger main.Being a Veteran does not mean I have to be biased, I told my friends not to reply on perks to do their best, but learn to play and not to worry much about winning and losing, its about making a play that matters and getting your team-mates out even if we dont make it. We didn't use perks in 2v8 only Skills, but them tried they all anyway found their favorites they even made great headway on P1 every character in the base game during the first week of 2v8.
If you think I have been lying to my friends, that they wont have a chance without those perks, that they NEED them or the NEED addons then I encourage you to demonstrate it, Though I think you will fail because you can unlock alot even with your first game of dbd. An Emergency Medkit is only 3250bps.
Ofc. non of them stepped up and told me, "Sorry man the only reason I play this game is to see numbers go up and have everything."
play Cookie Clicker for that :D@PetTheDoggo said:

This may have a negative effect on player numbers
I can say same about current system. I am condifent current grind of unlocking perks is losing many new players.
I would personally simply unlock first tier of perks as soon you purchase the character, that way players can keep putting BP only to character they want to play, not waste 1M BP to any character they want perk from. This doesn't affect BP amount, doesn't affect items, offerings etc.
I personally have all character prestige 3 and just work on prestige 100, but current system won't let me get my friends back to DBD.Sure you can say that, but when it comes to bHVR to make the decision, would they pick to maintain the current system or swap unless they really REALLY have to. Why take the risk? Why make a change that could mess up or it could have the INVERSE effect leading to people getting burned out.
I'm sure bHVR has a plan and know what they are doing and if things are going in a bad direction they will correct it.
Do you remember those Surveys, they always put, how do you feel like the grind is right now? So I'm sure its checked. -
First let me say I agree, I agree that its bad the ways the Killer can force an unstable game into a 4K. Some of those ways are certainly NOT entertaining for all players involved, when the last person is slugged.
However now lets consider the benefits, what if the fact that the Killer gets a lil carrot for a 4K is helpful for balance, because it weeds out friendly Killers or Killers who COULD go that extra distance for the Kill but choses to not? Letting Killers be true bastards has REALLY increased the talk about other helpful systems which the game desperately requires.
I am not saying bHVR is playing 4D Chess, but thinking they did all this without a plan or this being a surprise to them seems odd to me.
