For me its kind of the same for Killer and Survivor: if I enjoyed the match, if I felt I did a good job or did my best and learned how to improve my gameplay, I'd happily consider that a win. If its a killer I'm new with and learning, I may also consider a win condition to be a 1K (or at least a few hooks, especially depending on my loadout, the killer power, maps, etc)

Hey TheGannMan! I would post this over into bug reports https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs please check and see if it has been reported already (and upvote it if there is). If it hasn't, you can open a new report following the guidelines.
-
This happened to me last night, but completely by accident, just kinda ran into one during a chase. Definitely an interesting idea!
-
Hey there! When you want to report a bug, you can head over the bug report section: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs Please check and see first if its been reported already and upvote it, otherwise feel free to open a new report following the guidelines.

Here are the Patch Notes from this morning's 5.0.0 release: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/286

There's a bug report on it open, please feel free to upvote it so there's a good count of how many people this is affecting: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/257329/new-player-experience-resets-loadouts#latest

I would take this over to the bug reports section, and if you have video/screenshots that would be helpful as well. Please check the bug report section https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs to see if it has been reported already and upvote it, otherwise open a new report following the guidelines.

Franklin's was changed mostly due to the vaccine with Nemesis being a single use item. The perk would destroy the vaccine and render them unusable.

wait... are you saying pebble affects the zombies?
I'm not sure actually, I was referring to using it against Killers, since it needs a Terror Radius to charge (and I haven't run it in a while, its always just a fun 4th perk I enjoy)....but now I'm going to be curious about that and will have to give it a try later
-
These are some good zombie-fighting perk picks!
I think I'd also run Head-On and Quick and Quiet for stuns... or maybe mix it up with Flashbang and Diversion (Pebble) just for fun lol

There is no cross-progression between XBox and Windows Store at this time. Currently it is only for Steam and Stadia, with Switch coming soon. I'm afraid there is no information on when or if cross-progression will be available for other platforms, but, if there is more news to share in regards to cross-platform, it will definitely be shared on the forums, and on social media.

As we have stated previously, if you are playing by the game rules, you won't get punished, and punishments (like bans) are never issued without proof. To review the rules, and what is and is not reportable (ie slugging, tunneling, camping, teabagging), you can view them here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
I understand the concerns, but there are no details at this time on how it will work, as it is still in development. But be assured there will be an update when there is more information that can be shared.

@EQWashu hello can you change my name ,I promise the will be the last time🤞
First of all, congrats on 1000+ posts!
Unfortunately, a name change is a one-time thing, as explained here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/207-forum-name-changes

Holding the game hostage is when the game is no longer able to progress for a prolonged or indefinite period of time (Note: this does NOT include slugging out a team or survivors refusing to leave after EGC has begun, just for some extra clarification). If you have video of the match where someone kept it from progressing for 40 minutes, you can submit it in a ticket to support along with the in-game report.
For more information on the rules and report process, you can go here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
-
As others have mentioned, the encouragement or endorsement of unsportsmanlike conduct (DCing in this case) is against Forum Rules, please avoid doing so.
In this instance that the OP described where survivors refused to progress the match (no touching gens, only hiding) for 20-30 minutes, this could be considered holding the game hostage, and reportable with video evidence sent to Support for the ACMs to review: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/
-
As the automatic penalty for Disconnecting is in place, it is requested that you do not report these. To review the game rules and report system, you can see them here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
-
Closing this thread, please remember to keep your comments civil and respectful. As Mandy already stated, 10-15 minutes of the game having no progress is very well within the definition of holding the game hostage, and video proof can be submitted to Support to review: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/

First of all, Congratulations!
I think I'm personally liking the idea of #3, traditional dress with a horror palette! I'm just visualizing now an idea of a blood point bouquet; craft flower stems (maybe spray painted black), with little foam blood point triangles as part of the bloom (easy would be pre-colored red foam, or more advanced, a slightly thicker EVA foam painted blood red!), and little Entity claws coming out of it, made out of moldable foam (or polymer clay with wire armature if small)!
Whatever you decide, I know it'll be an absolutely wonderful day!
-
@Laluzi Yup, I've tried most every tactic at the beginning, middle, and end of the match, and it hasn't happened yet! I can get boops as survivor just fine, I honestly just need to play Pig a lot more to increase boop luck
@Hex_Llama I have had that happen as well many times, and I once approached a survivor asking for boops, and they crouched down, shook his character model "No" at me, then ran away. I respected it 100%, but was still a very sad Pig lol
I personally wouldn't mind seeing an update to her add-ons, and while part of her power is rng, I don't mind the level of rng she has.

Those are some fantastic outfits!
And a fellow fan of Jeff's holiday sweater and part of Dwelf's outfit. I actually use the other parts for my Dwight ensemble:
The pants jingle and it makes me happy, that's all there is to my reasoning for this outfit (though the head cosmetic may vary).

Hello, DwightFairfield.
I appreciate the intentions of this post, but I'm afraid I am going to have to close it up. It already dipped a bit into Naming and Shaming, and we'd like to prevent it from any further instances of it on this thread, as it is not acceptable here on the forums.
-
As it already went into Naming and Shaming a bit in the comments, this thread is being closed. As posts like this devolve into breaking the rules, we are not having this discussion here on the forum.
-
This is not about censorship, these posts very rapidly turn into naming & shaming. Because of this, we're not having this discussion on our platform.
-
I am going to go ahead and close this up, but I want to remind everyone that no one's identity is political, nor is asking to be represented; people want to be accepted for who they are. Also, in case anyone missed it, here is BHVR's official post in regards to Pride Month, and wanting to create LGBTQIA2S+ characters: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/pride-update-2021

Oh...oh my goodness... as someone that lives around bees, wasps, and hornets... getting one in my eye is extremely scary!
The best one I can recall that highlights my momentary lapse in judgement was several years ago when we were working on costume commissions. I was in charge of making a Sauron costume using Worbla, the first time working with it too. I was using the heat gun to shape it, and at one point I set it down in a spot I knew I shouldn't set it, but it was only going to be for a second, I told myself. A friend that was over at the house helping out accidentally tugged on the extension cord it was attached to, and it fell...metal nozzle first...onto my bare leg. It HURT, and left a mark that looked like a round cooking grill on my leg for a year.
After that, learned my lesson, and got a hair dryer hanger to holster the heat gun when not in use.

I'd boop your snoot! <3
aww thank you <3 *happy Pig growls*

I really enjoy playing Pig. I'm not very good at mindgaming with her yet (I'm fairly decent with em I think), but when I can successfully fake a dash direction and land a hit, its a lot of fun...that and just crouching around and being sneaky.
Also to this day, having had the DLC since week 1 of its release, no one has booped the snoot when I'm playing Pig, and I am very sad about that!

Putting in a quick reminder, please refrain from endorsing or encouraging Unsportsmanlike Behavior (i.e. DCing); it is something we do not allow on the forums.

As the OP is becoming argumentative, I am closing this thread. Please keep comments towards one another civil and respectful; even if you disagree with someone and their opinions. Also, everyone's opinion is equal, valid, and welcome on the Forum, just always remember to keep them within Forum Rules, listed here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/137-forum-rules

It appears things got derailed in here, let's keep the discussion on-topic, please. If you wish to continue the anime-related discussion, please feel free to open a new thread on it.

Closing per request of the OP.

I still think they are pretty useful despite their inherent risk/reward nature. I ran Ruin/Devour for a long while on most of my Killers, and even if they got broken, it took time away from them repairing generators. That being said, I let the other 2-3 perks be the main ones I relied on, and if the Hex perks stay active, that's a nice little bonus! NoED is one of the few I don't run, only because I rarely got use out of it (either killed everyone before gen completion, or they all left the match ASAP)
-
Tunneling, camping, and slugging, in the instance of a single match especially, are not reportable offenses, please do not report people for this. For more information on game rules, you can view them here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
What does become reportable, is if they are engaging in repeated, targeted harassment over the course of several matches. For instance, if one of those Wraiths matched up with you again, went after you and only you until you died, and did this repeatedly over more matches, that can be reportable. You can report in-game, and a ticket with video evidence can be submitted to Support here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/
Also, in regards to the pride charm, if they state in post game chat they acted negatively towards you because of the Pride Charm, that is also reportable.
-
Top 5:
1) The slight up-pitch to Hillbilly's chainsaw to let you know its ready to roll out!
2) Blight's screech and cane "whoosh"
3) Ash's lines...I'm a Bruce Campbell nerd :3
4) not going to lie...I like the rummaging sounds a lot
5) The thrown pallet sound and how you get that little bounce in the sound and everything ... chef's kiss

Closing this up as we do not discuss bans on this forum. We do not ban without reason, and we always give warn & ban reasons to the user. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/137-forum-rules is the full list of forum rules, and there's also information on our escalation process in the upper left sidebar.

I love the blue Oni mask, I used that for a while as well!
I enjoy mixing and matching to make my own style, even way back when the store first opened, I had Huntress with hound mask and the teal/purple recolor of her default outfit. As of late, I had been running Krampus on Trapper, but Saturday I switched it up to be a Rogi Mask on the icy body with the High Striker (weight set) weapon, and Wraith I have been enjoying the Glowing Vigil (candle) upper torso, Hallowed blight lower torso, and the Heart of Miss Smithson weapon (which is my favorite weapon cosmetic in the game, hands down).
-
We appreciate you following the rules and refraining from posting their information!
To report a player, make sure to file an in-game report (required), and you can submit further evidence to Support via a ticket: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/
For more information on the Game Rules and Reporting, we have it all listed here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
-
The In-game report was required, so its good to hear you did that. As others have already posted, you can send additional evidence to Support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us and the ACMs will review it. You can upload them to Youtube (make them Unlisted, and link them in the Support Ticket) if that makes it easier to handle more than one video.
-
As already stated, they are use at your own risk. If they are picked up by the EAC and it bans you for them, there is nothing we can do for you.

In game bans are not issued without proof. These bannable offenses include griefing, hateful speech, repeated targeted harrassment, and more. For the full list, click here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
Repeated harassment is the key word...you are not going to get banned if you tunnel and camp an individual in game (unless of course you say in end-game chat that you're doing it because they're wearing a Pride Charm), but if you are REPEATEDLY targeting and harassing someone to ruin their game (over the course of several matches), that could possibly lead to punishment after being reviewed by the ACMs. This is how it has always been done, nothing has changed in the rules:
And in regards to the auto report system, I understand the concern, and there is no more information at this time, but we will give the community more information when there is more to share. But if you are playing within the rules, you have nothing to worry about.
-
Just to remind everyone, no one is banned in game without evidence. If you are playing within the rules (which I posted in here earlier), you will not have to worry. And I know many are concerned about the new automated report system, and we will have more on that at a later time.
-
Closing up the thread as the OP is being combative with those responding. Please be civil and respectful when discussing things on the forum. People are allowed to be disappointed and upset, people are allowed to be excited, and people are allowed to be unsure, but please don't bite at each other for disagreeing. More information on everything mentioned on the Anniversary Stream will be given when there is more to share.
-
Yes, tunneling, camping and slugging are not reportable on their own; an individual game of it isn't really enough to say for sure.
HOWEVER, if the player says in post game it was because of the charm, that is reportable. Or, if you queue up with them several times, and they repeatedly target you in the same fashion, that could be reportable.
Bannable offenses include griefing, hateful speech, repeated harassment, and more. If you are REPEATEDLY being harassed by a player over the course of several matches, that could potentially be punishable. These things have always been a part of the Game Rules, its not just about the charm. To review the Game Rules, you can see them here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
And one more thing: everyone is welcome to wear and enjoy the charm in support of the LGBTQIA2+ community!
-
I know we mentioned it a lot yesterday, but I'll pop it in here too in case anyone missed it <3
Bannable offenses include griefing, hateful speech, repeated harrassment, and more. An individual game of it isn't really enough unless they say in post-game it was because of the charm, you can report that. If you are REPEATEDLY being harassed by a player (or you are harassing someone) over the course of several matches, that could very possibly be punishable. This has always been a part of the Game Rules, nothing has changed in these regards. If anyone would like to review the Game Rules, we have them here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
Lastly, if you are being messaged harassment outside of the game (Steam DMs, PSN DMs, etc), please report them to the platform in which they occurred.
