It sounds powerful on paper but in practice it's mediocre and you'll likely use it once or something.
Flip flop is more of a problem but since it doesn't extend a chase no one cares.
Why do you bring up "using once" as a valid point? You could use old DS "only" once aswell.

How many raging killer mains... what the ######### are you talking about, is fair for you for a perk to work only half of the times it should? or totally not work against nurse? like if nurse is underpowered. i would understand if you wanted the perk to not work with freddy, but we're talking about THE ######### NURSE. STFU, THE PERK IS BUGGED AND NEED A FIX, THE POWER OF THE NURSE IS TO TELEPORT, THAT'S IT. HITTING RIGHT AFTER USING A POWER DOESNT MAKE THE HIT PART OF THE POWER.
and be ready for my MoM trolling at the exit ;)
You missed the point aswell. It would be alright for Nurse, I personally could deal with it. But it means that not only Nurse is bugged but every other killer aswell whos m2 is combined with M1, for example wraith. That's the issue here my friend.

Equivalent of built in kindred is built in bbq and whispers without points. Not even sure if thats fair tbh, kindred is and was broken. Genrush Simulator.
Just make swf face killers harder than their avarage rank and it will be ok.
The idea behind built in Kindred is to close the gap between solo and swf (just a little bit, but significant). This allows more buffs for killers (needed against swf) without making solo experience completely unfun. Multiple steps are needed for that tho, difficult but the only true way to balance DbD

A bug in Dead By Daylight???? Noooo, Nonsense!
Please have this fixed asap. I want my easy escapes with Mega blink nurses. Thank you
Sincerely
Survivors
Well, getting confirmed that Nurse is just bugged means that every killer has to deal with MoM and only Billy, Plague and Leatherface can avoid it. And 2 of them a quite bad if it comes to high level play against swf groups. All other killer with the ability to down survivors with m2 are either ######### anyways or are "hybrid" killers who can't rely 100% of the time on m2 (best example is Huntress, there are a lot of situations where M1 is required instead of M2).

Is that the bug??.. Cause we don't seem to be getting any details on it... just the words... "bugged"...
what actually is bugged?... Just the activation of the perk when the player gets 3 hits?... Or the Blink Attacks not counting towards a hit?
Cause what I'm seeing as what is being told.. the nurse blink attacks aren't being counted when they should... So is that wrong?
Out of logic I would think both, cuz it would be to complicated to separate the requirements for stacks and triggering MoM. Lets see, hopefully they will explain more in detail in a stream asap

I'm not supporting bad game design, which Mettle of Man is. I speak my mind, no matter how much I like some of the QA devs.
Great, I like that :)
I like a lot of people in the team, I really do. But truth and critics has to be spoken out if necessary.
-
I'm new here and all I see our people's moaning it's a game just enjoy and have fun chilax
How do you show someone that you dislike something so they can change it?
Just beeing quite and hope that they will read your mind like a madman? Ofc people complain, it's part of criticism and has to be done in order to improve a product. Simple, that's how business works. Otherwise no SUCCESSFUL company would listen to feedback.

@Dragon_of_Fantasy said:
I'm curious if they have statistics that prove or don't prove what you say. You speak of one side, but don't consider players who play this game solo instead of swf.
~ Take a break from this game if it's too much, and wait for updates that you would be interested.
There is huge gap between solo and swf and everyone who can think 2 steps ahead knows in order to get the best balanced experience for everyone it needs to be closed as much as possible without adding voice coms. Now, what we got so far? Obsession legs on ONE single survivor at best. No more attempts from the devs side.
Its not like we don't want solos to have fun. We actually want, cuz majority here plays solo. It's just the devs don't make any actions to do it.
-
Newest informations I recently picked up:
A combination of M2 + followed up with M1 counts as a stack for MoM (and also as a trigger to activate). M2 by itself doesn't count.
It's currently bugged that's why the first case (m2 + followed up m1) doesn't trigger MoM.
Basically, nearly all killers don't have counter against MoM after it got "fixed"

Some you mentioned are useful, deliverance is great, WOO is good for new players, Kindred alright for solos (I want Kindred to be basekit tho) but overall I agree, most u mentioned is garbage and need reworks or buffs (tweaking numbers).
-
I don't think the perks you mentioned above need buffs. I personally think need a complete REWORK cuz I don't think tweaking numbers will make them great

Well, there's a whole lot of feedback already. And at this point, regarding Legion and Plague feedback, I'm starting to no longer see the point of giving any, either nothing changes or if anything changes, it's never the part of it the community wanted changed, but always the the part they didn't want to change.
You guys are out of touch with your community for most of the significant balance changes and have been for quite a while.
I had high hopes for DbD's future starting with 2.0.0, but I'm losing it again, which is saddening and hugely disappointing.
You've seen the damage old DS has done. I simply do not understand why someone thought MoM would be a good idea after that.
Well said, I feel the same.
I'm a bit suprised to read this statement from you @DocOctober cuz you always tried to support BHVR in any way (if I remember correctly, I could be wrong tho so sorry if you weren't and I mixed something up).

We are watching for feedback as well. If we need to make changes to it, we will.
Like the devs did with DS? Only took 2 years, let's wait 2 years for MoM rework, right? (sorry peanits, hate is not towards you. It's not your fault, you have nothing to do with it and I like you. It's just so frustrating to see all the crazy decisions the leaders of BHVR are making)

Man, I wish killers got to differentiate their skill levels between experienced and newbies because it's hard to move a camera when running in a straight line or a circle.
Did I ever said it hard? I said it's a difference between an experienced and a newbie survivor. And I know many new players on Twitch who had some real struggle to do it. Not even talking about extremely optimal with perfect routing. So, whats your point? I smell some killer bias tho
-
Lmao so to everyone who said use Nurse to counter MoM: Nurse is out of the list aswell. Great job devs, you are so amazing at balancing.

Man, i wish killers got to have depth and skill, since they're always stuck like this
See, here comes the difference between an experienced skilled survivor and newbie. The newbie doesn't turn his camera. So by removing the ability, you take away the skill of moving the camera (while not running into stuff, while calculating how often you can loop etc etc) and put an experienced player closer to a newbie. That's what I was trying to say.
-
Stupid idea, removes depth and skill. And it's already a low skilled casual game
-
@Tru3Lemon said:
now brothers its time to say to the killers its time to adapt like they said to us XD
If you don't mind to get insidious camped with a Bubba reved chainsaw? And in case you do mind... Adapt?
Jokes aside, it's not about killers vs survivors telling each other to adapt. Its about a healthy and balanced game so we can all enjoy every part of it and not have to deal with toxicity.

What do you think?
Mates, it's not only from killers perspective a stupid mechanic. For solo survivor this mechanic is stupid aswell. Everyone was in the situation to be the MVP solo survivor in the match, doing all works, running the killer very long without wasting pallets etc and at the end you die cuz the last survivors refuses to do the last gen (while you are in the middle of a chase hoping to get your adrenalin kicked in soon) cuz they camp the hatch. Yeah, great mechanic.
-
I played it back then for some matches. It had already early on a mechanic to prevent survivors holding the game hostage at the end by showing their auras. Something so simple, yet we are waiting over 2 years in DbD for any kind of solution addressing this issue. Maybe it needs 2 more years to fix that lol

Everyone can have his opinion right? I might be wrong, but I don't think that peanits has the technical knowledge but just provides the informations which was given to him (not saying that I have the knowledge tho, I don't even have access to the game code to analyse it).
But what I read is just "well there is no Autoaim, but actually there is. But only for smooth animation."
And every experienced killer knows/feels that Autoaim/aimassist in moments when it screws you over.

Just get over it bro, perk ain't OP. Devs wont change it either. Its definitely not stronger then old DS. Adrenaline is better than MoM, why is nobody crying over adrenaline? Its basically a guaranteed escape if it activates
Honestly I didn't mind old DS but that's just me. I never used it as survivor and when used on me it just extended the chase by a few seconds in most cases, some people get away and fair play to them, its a game.
Explain to me the difference between MoM and old DS.
Adrenal rewards for success while MoM rewards for failure.

Normal hits actually do not have autoaim. What happens is when you attack, the game checks a cone shaped area in front of you to see if any survivors are there. If they are, the game will move you and your camera towards them to make the hit feel like it connects. If the survivor is outside of that cone at the time, the hit will miss and the game won't move you into position.
To put it simply, it's purely visual. If you got the hit, you got the hit and the game then dresses it up a little. If you missed, you miss.
That's just language gymnastics here.
I will just quote this here again. Ahh, and btw. Remove it, noone likes it. It's hindering the more skilled players then helping.
"It definitely does exist. And you notice that while playing killer. Autoaim negates hits cuz u hit sometimes walls you never aimed to. Slow vaulting sometimes gives Autoaims to the window frame. Try to hit as Freddy someone in the dreamworld who runs next to a survivor who is awake. Sometimes it gives you short lunges while you keep holding m1. Bumping with Billy chainsaw into walls while u aim directly at a survivor. Ghosthits from billys chainsaw are probably a combination of Autoaim/aimassist and latency (hopefully gone with dedicated servers).
It's obvious I guess."

But you would sacrifice much more fps. I prefer fps over graphics. But I don't know how bad it is on ps4 cuz I'm on pc

There are MEANT to be loops that are safe for the survivors. It’s your job as killer to smarten up and know when to abandon those chases and try and catch them out at a later time in the trial where it’s not so safe for the survivor.
Because pallets are finite, every map needs to have (mostly) safe areas for survivors once pallets are exhausted, just as every map have particularly unsafe areas for the survivors, the basement being an obvious example. We can’t have trials whereby the survivors have a guaranteed loss just because all the pallets are used up.
Soooo, coldwind farm maps means I break chases 99% of the time? Yeah, good look trying to pressure survivors by never hooking them. Gens are flying, and the only real pressure is hooking survivors.
Yes, breaking chases is necessary sometimes. For example some specific building with really long loops and a window. But farm maps has 99% save pallets + see through walls. U need to bruteforce every single pallet.

For me, it's whenever I tried getting into a trial. A few times it would give me constant Network Errors and boot me to the Main Menu. Also, whenever I would crash a notification from Unreal Engine would pop up telling me to send a notification to whomever that this has happened. Don't know if that's been here a while now or not as this is my second-esq ever crash since a year and a half ago.
I don't know how to help you. It happened once last night, I need to see if it's going to happen again. Maybe @Peanits can help you

All I've found so far is what it says about earning points based off emblems but right now every killer is slugging/camping pretty much. The people I sometimes group with have all said they're playing Billy and going sweaty and getting iri's pretty easily.
But what's the point of the challenge? Is it only useful if you stream a lot or?
-
Annoying. I don't know why the devs stopped holding on their own concept/principle that survivors don't talk. Such a bad move, stupid. Really stupid.
-
Just adapt!!!11!
Use insidious Bubba, Billy with strong addons or nurse. Legion with Frank's mixtape works aswell. Ahh, don't forget to use moris.
On a serious note, a lot of killers are absolute garbage now cuz if that perk. Most of them weren't strong anyway, but now they are absolute #########. Not worth the stress and frustrating
-
@ShaneQ said:
Your kidding right? Let me start by saying I play more killer then survivor.
Most killer's have an ability that can directly counter it. Hatchets, chainsaw, vile purge, T3 Myers and so on.
You need to take 3 default hits before it activates. So in practice you should be hooked at least once before you get a chance to use it. What if you die on that first hook?
At best this perk works well for people who get tunneled off the hooks, 2 hits down, unhook. 1 hit back down, unhook. 1 free hit because the killer is a ######### lol
Im sorry but if anyone thinks this is op, your just plain deluded.
Uhm, same could be said with old DS. You could get dribbled and die on 1St hook. Does this mean DS was fine? No ofc not. Your point is not valid to justify MoM to be balanced. It's old DS all over again.
Maybe even stronger, cuz you don't have to be an obsession anymore to get maximum use out of it. And you can force nearly every killer to go for M1 instead m2, so ehhh.
-
It crashed today for me while I was crusing around the map with the chainsaw. Just out of nowhere. Got a bluescreen after couldn't react with my pc. some minutes later my whole pc crashed and rebooted

The game is not a subscription service. Making players stay by prioritizing bugs will not make them money. Making new content will bring players back to purchase and play until they get bored or frustrated.
Plus, having players stick around means handing out more Irridescent Shards for players to buy cosmetics with instead of real money.
Invest money into making more money, or invest money into giving players more cosmetics for free? Hmm...
Noone with a healthy mind will buy cosmetics for a killer just to look good while getting bullied by bugs. Noone is going to spend money for DLCs if he knows he's going to deal majority of his time with long lobby Qs, Infinite loading screens and restarting DbD.
You have a logical falsely, fixing stuff will indeed generate money, it's just indirect and not trackable.
-
@ShaneQ said:

Okay I'm sick of people saying they are two different teams. Yes, but it's clear where they're putting their money and prioritizing. It's a business, though. 🤷♀️
Yep this. Im pretty sure they invest 4 times more money, time and general resources into cosmetics, lore, new perks, new killers, new maps and new survivors than to actual bug fixing, reworking and balancing.
-
That's why Im pretty optimistic that this would fix the DC issues we have: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/55320/guide-for-bhvr-how-to-stop-dcing#latest
-
Pls no, not you aswell. Seems like I have to main survivor for a long time if I don't want to play nurse and Billy with strong addons and offerings
-
@powerbats said:
Lets see people who crete content like cosmetics and audio can somehow magically do code work for bug fixes how again? That's like asking someone in accounting why the electrical system hasn't been completely fixed yet.
Also get over yourself the perk isn't a crutch and the fact you claim it is shows you're just not as good as you think you are. The perk has conditions can be avoided by certain killers completely.
On one side I agree, cosmetic can't work to fix bugs. On the other hand.. Devs are using their resources into the wrong thing imo. And making new perks still requires some coding tho. It's a mixed feeling for me. Devs need to invest more time and money for coding or hiring new coders to have more efficient bug fixing.
-
It depends on me. Some survivors are running injured straight into my arms to use DS, but I'm not such a stupid 4head. Others do it more subtle. I also rarely keep track on names, who got unhooked etc. So it happens that I down someone who has DS active whiteout realising it.
In average I eat 1 DS every 2 days or so

It was an accident. Mclean said it was not intentional on his twitch stream over the weekend. He didn't get into much.. but he said that.
Just cuz he said that doesn't mean it wasn't intentional. As a company, it's a business strategy to let informations get leaked. And obviously a company will never tell that a leak was intentional.
Only bhvr knows the truth, we can just speculate.
