I wounder how long these devs will keep it this way. It's a complaint since release.

Good idea, just don't get hit by her hatchets. While we're at it, just don't get hit by her axe either, you should have to get better at the game right? Lol.
Just 5 gen run any killer without taking damage 4head!! U can't? Well that's your fault. It's not like the game is designed the way that survivors have to go down, just git gud!
Some people right? xD
-
@Yuyukoyay said:
Not a joke, you should have to get better at the game to counter her because it very realistically is possible to do so.
Good joke, nearly laughed again. U are quite good, I see potential. Ever tried to be a comedian? I can see you there
-
@Yuyukoyay said:
I think this is probably the easiest killer to counter overall. Even more so than worse killers than her. So I disagree with changing her best addon at all. Don't get hit by them. It's easier to not be hit by them than to force her to melee you. It's one of the few addons in the game that is soley skill based on both sides.
So I like the current iteration. They just need to change how chasing works for 1 hit powers. So it needs a buff technically.
Good joke, nearly had a laugh.

I play both sides, I am not some entitled main of one side. If 3 players kept killer busy and got downed, then they do not deserve the reward. If they would be in injured state however, then they deserve reward. To me it looks like you are a heavy biased survivor main who never really played killer much.
Listen, I think you are completely failing to understand the concept of dbd. The survivors WILL go down eventually. It's designed this way. The goal is to buy as much time as possible. Are you telling me only when they do 5 genny run without getting downed, onky then they deserve adrenaline? Then I have to tell you that you seriously don't understand the concept of dbd and the survivor role
-
What are you talking about? U clearly don't understand how Billy works. Maybe play some Billy matches for yourself before suggesting nerfs?
-
Cool statistics, BUT: your rules aren't realistic. In reality the killer WILL use his power for speed, or Trapper to trap the gate etc and well everyone is using perks.
I would like to see this experiment down again but without these rules.
Maybe once where u can use perks which aren't directly helping with the gates (wake up for example) and another time with perks which are helping I'm EGC (spine chill, resilience, wake up, whispers etc) and the best would be with a killer like spirit, nurse, Billy with high mobility.
I think the EGC survival rate with just the perk whispers is 0%

"Why should you get upset that they completed their objective when you failed at yours?"
The objective is to escape, though. They have not escaped yet, so they have not finished their objective.
"It can be overbearing if all four survivors have Adrenaline but at that point you have LOST. Having all four survivors at the end of the game is a L on your point as a killer."
No, you haven't. The game isn't over until all Survivors are either safely out of the trial or dead.
Oh come on, don't be foolish. When all gens popped and all 4 alive it's basically over. The only time you can MAYBE pull out more than 1k is with bloodwarden, but smart survivors can and will play around this. Endgame is just a fight for 1 kill. You are not entitled to get 4k when you failed the entire rest of the match.
That's how dbd is since release. And it will stay like that till the devs introduce and objective between the last gen and opening the gates.
-
Nerfing adrenaline would make it so not worth it anymore in solo Q. But hey, who cares about solo Q right? Screw this idiots, just play swf 4head!!1!
-
@HellDescent said:
Because it's never going to happen. They buffed it instead of nerfing it already, when it continued to affect deep wound after it was decided that mending no longer counts as healing.
What??

Correction: It rewards all survivors. One guy could do all 5 gens and three other survivors who weren't doing objectives get Adrenaline as well. It's not fair, because if they were in dying state now they can easily escape.
I would nerf Adrenaline so it can not heal survivors in dying state. It is too unfair.
If the other 3 weren't doing gens but keeping the killer busy they totally deserve reward aswell. To me it looks like you are a heavy biased killer main who never really played survivor much.
-
@Ihatelife said:
Because it can be used once and it rewards you for completing objectives.
Remember, once at MAX. And sometimes you don't have any use out of it when you are already healthy and idk healing someone else.
-
It's not needed. I took it even out of my main build after 3 years. In solo Q it just doesn't activate often enough to be worth it. I rather use UB, resilience, Iron will and sprint burst (changed it out for dead hard since its so buggy and doesn't activate).
-
Maybe it's a rework so nurse, Billy and Huntress won't get cucked so hard while at the same time survivors will benefit aswell? Well, I hope it is. I personally hate playing this map as any of the killers I mentioned. But thankfully my game Crashes accidently whenever I spawn in this map ;)

I don't know what survivors you are playing against/with but discordance is constantly going off in my matches because prove thyself is such a frequently used perk. Also other people constantly run to be on gens with me when I'm playing survivor. Minor changes wouldn't create this huge change you think would happen, at least not for long. The only things that have majorly changed from the past 3 years are sabo percentage drop, bnp usage drop, and some perk usages as new helpful perks have joined the meta. Things shift but core things never really change in gameplay. Bring on less efficient duos and trios on gens, it doesn't change overall time on gens in solo situations, and also puts more pressure on survivors to not put themselves in 3 gen situations. (I'm a rank 1 survivor and rank 7 killer so that doesn't get asked later)
I said discordance WOULDN'T activate. This means AFTER the change. How can you compare your example to a whole new scenario?

@Kagari_Leha said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/115183/iridescent-head-rework-idea
I saw a few time this idea, and i think it would be a great rework, but no need for additional hatchets, there are already other add-ons for that
The additional hatchets would be the feature to grant it being ultra rare. Otherwise I personally wouldn't see it as ultra rare anymore.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
How about
+3 aditional hatchets
They put survivors into the dying state
You lose the ability to reload
That's garbage, totally not worth it
-
This would a false change!! Exactly like the healing nerf, which leaded to the no heal meta and even more genrushing.
What do you think people will do when it punishes working on gen together even more? They will all split up and work on separate gens. Splitting is already the current meta, it's more efficient to work on gens alone. But this change will make it like a must do.
That Legion perk wont activate at the start and hostage doctor will be more pain in the ass.
No, Bad idea. Probably worst idea I have heard

I'm pretty sure resilience aswell.

Why do we not have a perk that increases the healing speed done to you?

Resilience.

Mcote said that this kind of frustrating gameplay will keep players coming back to the game...
What do you think about that?
Lol yeah, like dealing with old haddonfield BL infinites, sweaty swf groups mocking the killer, getting insidious camped by Leatherface, having to spam spacebar on hook etc etc.
Yeah no. These aspects of the game are the main reason why I don't spent much money into the game as I would otherwise.
GG Mcote.

Just accept that you had a crappy game and move on. Items are a dime a dozen, especially considering that you can save items for use across multiple games. Pips aren't particularly valuable either.
What do you mean with "accept and move on"?
He is not allowed to say his opinion about unbalanced stuff so the devs can finally work on this?
If we all would have accepted how dbd git released and we had moved on, guess what: dbd would be still the same like on release.
-
@Slaughterhouse3 said:
NOED is easy to counter. A very bad perk against good survivors.
Replace "good" with "swf" and you sentence makes sense. Cuz it always activates against solos, no matter how good they are. Or they die before the last gen pops because they wasted time searching for totems which got cleansed by team mates long time ago.
-
@inferjus said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/962890#Comment_962890
If you look long enough and you find nothing, then you can assume all totems are destroyed. Also Detective's Hunch and Map can help you see if there are any totems left.
"if you look long enough"
Yeah, look long enough and it doesn't matter anymore because the time you wasted searching for totems which are already cleansed by team mates could have been used on gens. And since you wasted all the time looking (+ your team mates aswell in solo Q) it doesn't matter because the killer has so much time that even without ruin the team is dead.
-
I honestly dont understand these potatoes. Why opening gates? Is it so difficult to keep it at 99% and wait nearby till you can confirm to yourself that noone is getting chased? Does it hurt so much?
-
@Jackikins said:
I mean you still have 2 minutes of EGC to get out.
A killer can corner you for 2 minutes, that's not an issue for the killer. Good luck getting out of the corner in such a situation, especially when your team mates aren't attempting to bodyblock the killer but stay at the exists so they can teabag the killer when he comes.
-
I personally hit great skillchecks without ruin 99% of the time. However, with ruin it dips down a bit to 70-ish% for some reason. Idk if it's the colour, fps, or the actual great skillcheck zone being smaller

@Karl_Childers said:
That is what it should be. I’m unsure of the distance, maybe just making it 24m would work.
I think I first saw this suggested by ScottJund a while back, I’ve always been a fan of this idea ever since.
Maybe, the distance is just a placeholder. It just shouldn't be an insta down when you right behind a survivor
-
It's needed for solos to balance the game with swf in mind
-
@Atrushan88 said:
I've played as survivor vs a killer with a BPS several times in the past including during double bloodpoint weekends and killers would just DC as soon as the game started. I was losing my BPS and getting only 10k points.
"only 10k points"
Dude, you got 10k points in just 1 second. I personally love when killers do that, it's the best bp/time ratio u can get
-
Revert the basekit changes. Job done, case closed. Nurse is fun to play again + can dominate sweaty swf groups again (if you are good nurse)

I’ve been playing this game as a solo Survivor for 3 years (I play Killer too). It’s not that bad. The very few times I have played Survive With Friends, the game was stupid easy. In my opinion, solo Survivor takes more skill and is more fun. You have to make predictions and guess which counter-play works best, instead of having everyone tell you what’s going on all the time and giving you an easy win.
I'm playing solo since release aswell. I personally just can't enjoy it anymore. It's not about my individual skill or that I feel killers are op (not at all), my random team mates are just tilting me and the experience is currently more frustating than enjoyable.
When I play swf, I have team mates who are good, team mates with experience, with game knowledge, team mates who truly belong into red ranks like myself. That's when I enjoy playing survivor again.
One thing I have to note: I'm still not using voice coms. I just play swf with my friends, but we keep the communication just via steam chat. So only things we share is like "insidious camping" or "I have XY perk equipped"
It's not like those insane sweaty seal teams communicating like they are on a real mission lol
Just having good mates u can trust is making a big difference to the classic solo Q with potatoe ransoms.
-
I mean when the solo experience is beyond garbage, why suprised about more and more swf groups especially during double bp events?
-
Killer is more stressful, but rarely frustating. Solo on the other hand is the most frustating part of dbd. You stand and fall with the team you get. Just ONE boosted potatoe team mates who doesn't belong into red ranks can already be the lost case for the whole team. And since Sooo many potatoes are hovering in red ranks it feels like u can't even have more than one good game per day in solo Q.
Since some months I only play in a group with friends. I can't be arsed to deal with all the 0 IQ boosted idiots in red ranks, it's absolutly destroying my fun.
-
@goat10em said:
And it's only going to get worse. As they keep making changes to force all survivors into red ranks, new players will never get matches. I don't understand their plan.
They want to kill dbd, that's their plan.
On a serious note: can't anyone of the devs see that? Like, are they so blind? Can't they think 2 steps ahead? I'm baffled.
First they made swf not average rank anymore but the highest. This alone made low rank Q longer + new survivors won't have any fun playing with a red ranks friend.
After that, they basically removed the rank reset. Give it a few months and yellow + grey ranks will be an empty desert.
They really don't want to get new players into dbd or what? They game will fall and die without new players. Veterans are important, but they alone can't keep it alive for a multiple years.
-
@jus_Ignant said:
Don't think it's close to a dying game...yet. Can it be a dying game when there's more people playing now than a year ago at this time? And that's just on PC, not counting player count on consoles.
Keep in mind that many players are burned out from this battlepass. Who knows how many, next month steam chart might show some dip down.
-
@inferjus said:
This game won't die for one good reason: it is the best cat-and-mouse game out here (which doesn't mean it is a good game).
SO FAR is the key word. All it needs is a big company coming around the corner with a dbd like game and it's gonna be really rough for bhvr to keep the playerbase playing DbD IF the competition is doing it correctly and addresses all the issues dbd has.
We can never know when this will happen, companies work behind the scenes and can drop the game from the sky. I personally could imagine EA or similar trying to win the dbd playerbase if they know how much money people here are spending on cosmetics.
Imo, bhvr needs to do some serious steps. Otherwise that day could happen when another dev group brings a dbd like game with a huge head start.
And we all know, once a game is losing players it's very difficult to come back from that.

Not really...
I was saying If them taking my money will support these devs to find another job if their game becomes dead like Deathgarden, then so be it.
This game will eventually die on this current path. So... I would rather not having people homeless than you very much.
Yeah sorry that I don't support something that I don't like and don't try to help everyone out to keep their job. What am I, the president?

Yeah dont worry i hate too when that Claudette starts panicking every ten seconds and go hide in a corner.
But "9% is nothing to me" wow, this is such a wrong statement, 9% is huge, not especially for gens sure, but to vault, it's awesome, it denies a lot of hits. Combine it with Resilience and the killer will never catch you at a window.
Isn't 9% from resilience and spine chill has actually 15%? Can't remember both having the same value.
-
Overrated noob perk. The only times it shines is against stealthy killers in indoor maps, old prayer beads etc.
Spine chill is for stealthy potatoes who are afraid of killers. They can't loop, therefore they stealth. But they are hurting the team a lot. They never take killers attention, therefore the killer can tunnel those who are on death hook.

I also finished the rift a few days ago and I played 3+ hours a day, sometimes even 8 hours to archive that. It is definitely too grindy and kinda takes all the fun. When I did these basement challenges, I was frustrated like I've rarely been before and I don't want that to happen again. If they remove the "complete in a single trial" nonsense, I'll probably try to complete the next rift too, but I highly doubt it...
May I ask why u used wraith for AFKing? If you'd have used any other killer, survivors could at least farm some chase points themselves to not lose a pip or waste bp offerings. Just wondering.
I picked wraith because otherwise survivors would stay in the match the whole time, farming points, waiting and doing nothing etc.
But since I was just interested to farm as much xp as possible and since after 10 minutes in match you reach the maximum xp I avoided that by picking wraith and hiding somewhere.
I know, a dick move from myself. But that's the fault of the devs making the grind so insane that I don't even want to play anymore. And that's from someone who plays dbd on a regular bases for multiple hours per day
-
@LordGlint said:
I always find that kinda weird when I hear that. Personally, I still have 4 tiers to go, but 12 challenges left to do it with. Ive heard ppl saying they finished it before the last level of challenges was even available.
Those people got boosted with multiple tiers unlocked at the start. Others who started from tier 0 are facing the true experience of that grind.
-
@PyroDude said:
Congrats on finishing it.
I have been stuck on tier 37 because I got burned out of this game.
I didn't even manage to reach my personal goal....
I got burned out long time ago aswell, actually at tier 50. I just afk wraithed to tier 70 while chilling on youtube or played other games. I won't do that to myself again next pass
-
UPDATE: I finished it. After finishing all challenges, I had 20 tiers left to grind by playing. The onky way to do that: wraith AFKing. And I did that (sorry for all the boring games survivors had). I checked out my steam hours, the past 2 weeks I had 84 hours played just on DbD. This was just to grind out the last 20 tiers by XP. So it's bs, honestly. I was keeping on my pc for multiple hours, how in the actual F is this casual friendly??
