hell p3 blendette is borderline advantageous but thats not bannable so...

So everyone says if theres a loop you can't beat as a certain killer (IE huntress at a long wall) you should just abandon chase and let the survivor go but I don't understand how that helps the killer at all? Like survivors can just run back to the loop whenever they want so how does abandoning chase help?
if someone is considered a "runner" you do NOT want to let them loop you at places THEY know well, if you recognise this person is a runner from stuff like lithe, deadhard, sprintburst etc, ignore them and kill his gen jockeys because 1: this guy isn't doing gens his goal and job is to make you waste time and 2: killing his buddies forces him to come take hits ruining his "hahautoslowlolloopyloop" plan these guys get especially tilty if you tunnel their gen jockey.
you will know if you found his gen jockey when suddenly 2-3 people swarm to try body block, clicky click etc while you tunnel him, persist and camp the hell out of him, its scummy but if you dont they will be back to square one.

trapper having trap placement speed addons baseline and darker traps or biggest bag addon baselined would go a long way to making him more usable
-
she's quite well rounded and somewhat fun to go against.
the only ones i despise going against have either irid hatchets or bad lag resulting in un-dodgable homing hatchets.
when i see a black ward huntress i know he's packing iri and probably likely lag switches to make the most of his hatchet hits
-
another ######### match up, i go bill, bring borrow time, spine chill, self-care and that one perk that see's the hatch (because screw randoms) and what happens? they feed bubba a 1minute chainsaw down, so i stall alittle, do a gen, borrow save the guy only for bubba to throw me on the hook, no worries other guy is safe.
here comes the potato squad, i was face unhooked not once, but TWICE resulting in TWO double downed teammates. watch the match after i am forcibly sacrificed in the first 4 minutes, might as well see who gets hatch.
nope the potato goes to unhook... in front of a bubbla holding his chainsaw above his head.
3 face unhooks against a bloody chainsaw wielder...
you cant make this crap up :/
where the hell are these free bloodpoint sacks when i play killer

theres a Xenomorph post several lines below this one, couldn't you have searched before posting?
idea is ok just seeing multiple of the same post within the same screen length can kind of get daunting

Her animations just become... broken
when she is hooked her neck and arm breaks and when she is healthy or injured her head is turned slightly to the side, when she heals someone she looks up and in general she looks dead. Moreover, mouth opening animations are completely gone. I hope this has been done since there will be a graphical update soon (only have 1 screenshot).

Well, you posing like a kid, and yeh, game just disconnecting itself. And mostly people play solo... If you want survs lose they points, killer must loose his points as well, he was in a lobby as well lol
i dont understand what your saying?
are you seriously defending the "dc haha no points for you or me!" joke tactic? abusing a disconnect to force a punishment on both yourself and the killer is the very essence of exploiting the broken system.
if a party has to dedicate a single player to DC just so last guy can get a hatch and deny the killer his earned slug/mori/4k then you just willingly played the "we suck so we cheat" card and honestly thats worse than some rando disconnecting to give another rando a hatch because at least the random is being punished sacrificing his gains for some other random player.
if a party has someone DC so someone can get the hatch they are basically taking points from themselves AND the killer to feed the last guys points, that in itself is cheating.

I agree with Akito. Slugging is a legit tactic. Annoying AF, but legit nonetheless. What I'd like to see is the ability to "Open Veins" while you're in the dying state. You don't die instantly like a d/c, but instead of giving the killer minutes to hunt, you bleed out in 30 seconds to a minute.
This makes it important for the killer to not be a tool about slugging, since they don't have forever to play around anymore, but still allows them time to search for that last Claudette.
If that mechanic was in the game alongside a d/c penalty or husk system, I don't see as many d/c's or complaints.
just make it so if you hold the ability button you "give up hope" and speeds the dying state bar decay by 100 to 200% so the killer has time to try find blendette but the survivor suffering from being a slug can have alittle control if they want to just not play anymore without punishing or rewarding the stealther instantly for the slugs unwilling afk participation.
much like you can give up on a struggle phase or first hook phase, sometimes leaving faster is a better alternative to suffering through a slow and painful game of being farmed while not punishing yourself by DCing and rewarding those who WANT YOU to die in the process while giving up as a slug would give the killer less points if you aren't wanting to be farmed.
-
i dont get why if someone DC's in a party they should ALL lose their bloodpoints.
i mean in sports if one player plays foul the whole team is punished for it for having someone like that on their team because they willingly kept said player on their team.
why should SWF be any different? they willingly party together to make a team, they tell one guy to play foul by disconnecting and yet the rest of the team are REWARDED for it, in a real game the whole team would be punished not just the foul.

I actually consider Kindred meta for Survivors, helps my teammates avoid camping Killers and actually cooperate to take me off the hook. And I personally don't use aura-reading perks even as a red-rank Killer, so I don't think that will be a problem. I will check it out on Killer side tonight, though!
not sure if trolling or incredibly lucky.
the only times i use kindred is to avoid teammates who are actively handing the killer free hooks.
if im on the hook and the killer is nearby that doesnt stop potatoes coming into try farm some free points from me even when they can literally see the killer because of kindred.
-
now try them on a killer with a red stain, first person and overall darker point of view.
then you will see the issue.

I completely forgot that Disney owns the Alien Franchise. It’s probably going to rust out in that giant vault of theirs, unless a new proposition comes out.
oh i forgot the big cheese bringer owns AVP now, might actually push forward that idea of a second AvP Extinction game but this time bring the damn thing to PC where an RTS would actually work better

Those are fair points. The Xenomorphs are also intelligent hunters I would argue just as good if not better than Demo. As you said Xeno’s thrive on tight corridors, however depending on the circumstances like buildings, trees ect.. they can use the environment to their advantage.
Regarding your point on the Xenomorph being disrespected AVP(2010) already did so for both Predators and Marines being able to kill them easily in multiplayer. The Marines in that game can punch one to death pretty easily, while Predators have all kinds of tools.
in the defense of AVP2010, the Xenomorphs were stronger as groups rather than individually unless it was something like a pred-alien to a less lore friendly extend the AvP Extinctions Ravager which thrived on direct brutal combat, both being not only quick but incredibly destructive in their warpaths.
killing one basic alien drone wasn't an issue, hell you could consider it pretty easy hence the punching one response. but they never come alone oh hell no they dont and worse is even if you did win a fist fight with one, they leaked acid all over the place, including into your hands as you beat them.
im not against the idea of a playable xeno or predator, hell i think both are badass, but in DbD's current game structure they would feel so slow and well... weak to put it lightly, here we have these behemoths who hunt eachother all over the universe for SPORT and usually ending planets when they are done with them especially if they lose suddenly struggling against 4 regular people who are more concerned with fixing some basic human engineering, dont carry weapons so wouldn't even be hunted by the predators because they would be classed as "harmless" and ultimately disrespect the hunting prowess of both predator and xeno by being able to loop them around some boxes or a wooden wall.
again im all for the idea if they can truely capture the badass feeling of them but i wouldn't hold my breath of that working out for DbD.

Ah, but that’s the beauty of the Xenomorph. It’s fast, stealthy and can climb on any surface. The climbing would probably be difficult to program. As far as fitting it into the universe, Demo is an unstoppable force and only Eleven killed it with her powers. I don’t think fitting a Xeno in the DBD universe would be difficult. The mechanics of it would be a challenge.
but again the Xenomorph relies on mortal methods of ambush, the same sort of ambush tactics as ghostface or piggy.
Demo can alter the world around it, travel through another dimension to move around the material plain and overall doesn't exist in the same sort of realm of ambush the Xenomorph would rely on.
sure both may jump and leap when in the open but doesn't every killer just rush at you in the open? the predator doesn't, it toys with you and shoots at you when its bored but with a particle cannon like theirs you wouldn't be alive for a single hit from that, how would the survivors survive that?
the whole idea of looping the Predator or Xenomorph is disgusting, both are fast moving stealth bas****s and seeing a survivor successful loop either would just be a horrible sight.
-
problem is the Xenomorph is a beast, the Demogorgon was the only other beast added and the reason for that is the sweet stranger things money and the fact it was a more intelligent hunter that had unique ways to interact with the world beyond what an animal would be able to.
Xenomorph can be a scary SoB but only in tight controlled areas with small spaces for it to roam around undetected, in the open they just launch themselves at you and the only time they take live prey at all is to bring it to the queens egg hive for reproduction, they hunt to survive.
the predator on the other hand is a stalker, a hunter, a killer.
but goodluck getting a predator to be the big deadly juggernaut it was ment to be in DbD, their shoulder cannon could tear appart walls and people effortlessly, good luck introducing their toolkit and balancing it at the same time.
dont get me wrong both would be fun but i could never see it happening.
besides would you really want to disrespect the Xenomorph or the Predator by having them be looped during chases? thats a sight i wouldnt want to see.
-
well i mean survivors main defense i to avoid confrontation with the killer by looping or stealthing, how do you compete with something that can teleport in a chase? stealth.
easiest way to avoid being dead is to ghost the killer so they dont find you and nurse has horrible first person prospective so be sneaky and he'll get fustrated.
now if your a solo survivor like me thats where the issue starts cropping up, baddies start feeding her hits for her game slowdown then run around everwhere getting spotted easily making theg ame 3or2 v1

That super toxic DS/Adrenaline combo.
I mean, come on. Attacking someone for running strong perks that don't even compliment each other whilst running so many meta perks it hurts to see? Where's the Sloppy? Where's the Surveillance? If they're going to be holier-than-thou, they could have at least had less basic-######### meta perks.
well in the killers defence there is one of them and 4 survivors, if 4 of them all run dead hard, adren, ds and sprint, wouldnt you be pretty peeved?
there needs to be a limit on how many defensive perks a survivor can use on a single character, when a survivor can out pressure a killer you know somethings wrong.
infact when i play solo survivor the enemy i fear most is a survivor with cancer perks, because if he does a bad job he's a waste of time and if he makes mistakes he forces the killer on you by leading him to gens with survivors on them.
they are usually the first to DC if they either fail DS or get out played at a loop forcing a 3v1, usually with 4 gens still up.

At the moment it seems like several are in need of changes. Legion, Pig, Clown (just to name a few). What are some things you'd like to see improve killers. I know a lot of killers need work but I hope the devs avoid another Freddy situation were they make the killer overly strong rather than balanced.
I think a lot of killers could be improved by just making some of there add-ons there base abilities.
thats an understatement.
trapper and piggy are probably bottom of the barrel with wraith under the bottom of that with their "ok" powers but poorly utilized due to addon dependency, especially trapper.
making trappers darkened traps, trap placement speed and his 3 trap addon baseline would do a world of wonders for him alone.
piggy im abit stumped by since she needs crouch speed addons and her ambush turned into being considered m1 to actually make her work in her current state, otherwise just tweaking it so traps are harder to get out of, take little longer, have twice the amount of puzzle boxes, maybe an audio cue of when they get a wrong box instead of a notification, maybe punish piggy for re-hooking a trapped survivor by breaking their trap and then maybe giving her 2 to 3 more traps so she will work better as a game staller breaking people down over time so the more gen happy survivors are busy trying to save their heads. would be largely different but you couldn't deny that it would make "the game" alot longer, especially if ambush counts an an M1 for perk usage.
wraith... oh boy where do we start? lower his shimmer visbility? speed up decloaking? im clueless with wraith he's that bad

yellow mori should be baseline tbh, thing is awful, green should be usable on anyone but only after 1 hook on your first kill and 2 hooks on the second, ebony should just allow you to kill one single survivor but without hooking, basically allowing you to force out one player.
make being mori'd reward a small buff of points for "taking one for the team", call it "putting on a show" award basically so if you are the ebony mori right at the start of a match you can at least get close to a black pip if you lead a strong chase.

Imagine playing a pretty good game, outplaying your opponents, defending gens pretty well. Then you get 3 kills and you get "entity displeased", I mean seriously? Killer's objective is to kill survivors so if 3 of them are moried/sacrificed/have disconnected you should never get -1. Even if I kill 3 people with mori, but hooking them at least 2 times, it should be a brutal killer, nothing less.
had a 3k rank 18 ghostface match with a gold in hooks and chases, safety pip.

That's debatable in certain situations sure its better but compared to old ruin games go way faster with new ruin also still does not change my point literally no one asked for a ruin change except rank 20's who couldn't hit skill checks to begin with anyways my point still remains the ruin change was out of the blue and uncalled for and this persons logic matches the devs logic.
i actually disproved of the ruin rework, it rewarded SWF who can commit harder than it did randoms.
my suggestions are to discourage the less desirable stuff that urks both survivor and killer alike.
ever had a game where as a survivor someone would rush unhook you without BT only to find out at the end they had WGLF?
or how about a killer game where you hook someone, you see 2 people doing a gen in the distance but guy 3 is missing, you end up paranoid if he's either in a locker or in close prox, and without whispers you wouldn't know.
or as a survivor you get that one potato who keeps getting himself caught and killing 3 other players ability to stealth or do generators because the killer keeps running straight for you because of BBQ.
BBQ would still be decent, hell you could call it a buff depending on the killer in action but it would make it more of a defensive perk rather than a rush across the map perk which is strong as hell on nurse, billy, freddy and spirit.
WGLF would be the poor mans version of borrowed time but would allow you to punish a killer OR survivor for not giving you breathing room, if the killer decides to tunnel you you get to have your second chance and hurt the guy who face unhooked, if the guy genuinely wants to help you his protection hit heals you and gives the killer a new low health target to go after.

Hes the poster child. He doesnt even need anything crazy. I suggest 2 minor changes that are also quality of life improvements and make survivors feel way less safe.
1 make him start with 3 traps at base. Not sure the design decision behind forcing him to walk around with 1 trap at the start.
and 2 make it base for when an injured survivor steps in a trap, to where they get the purple stone add on automatically and if they try to free themselves theyll be put into the dying state. Only injured survivors though, they can be freed and not put into the dying state with the help of a teammate.
Not too bad of changes, im just tired of the face of dbd being bad without bag add ons
honestly just making his trap placement speed addons and 3 extra traps on start up would be a massive quality upgrade for him, maybe make the yellow darker traps" addon baseline and i'd say he'd go up abit in fun

So because an ESPORT is rebalanced for more interesting gameplay a PARTY game should be balanced as if it were and esport.
what
you are dodging the point, the point is that the game is getting stale in its current form because the same meta for survivors near 2 years back is still pretty meta now even with nerfs to some perks because they are just to damn good NOT to bring. just look at how many people especially SWF groups use D-strike, deadhard, sprint, adrenaline, etc.
killer metas were the same for a while till they started hammering at the best killers, nurse isnt THE meta anymore, it shifted to spirit and billy, billy probably wont be part of the meta anymore but spirit, freddy and ghostboi will be, playing against a killer doesnt get as stale unless you are in the top ranks in which case your up against the same 2-3 killers pretty much every game (spirit, freddy, billy soon to be replaced by ghosty) pretty much every other match, but you get used to how their power works and play accordingly as soon as you see what killer it is.
killer side gets VERY stale in most rankings because you know none of the survivors you see will likely be using their base perks unless they are meg, claud or lau, but you know to damn well they will either all have one or more of the meta, triple points if they bring 4.
a forced meta shift via "power/talent" induced survivor perks will give survivors a big breath of fresh change they haven't in years besides new maps and killers can get a bit of wiggle room knowing a little more about what they are going up against at a first glance.
then we can start making all those crap perks that are now powers stronger to match their new survivor skin tied position and the strongest "we all must use this perk" will usually be non-combinable with multiple "freedom" perks giving each survivor a strong tool for offense or self preservation without giving them so much combine power THEY become the powerful creature and not the killer.
when i solo queue as a survivor i am more frightened of the other survivors than i am of the killers. thats how bad the meta is atm.

Freddy is only good because people don't know how to play against him and refuse to learn. Sure his teleport and sleep are strong but his power is countered by waking up every now and then, not letting him get early hits treat him like oni, and not looping in the same spot once asleep.
Also everyone that goes 4 meta perk go brr will complain and Its annoying enough to see them complain about spirit and freddy do you know how much backlash the devs will get if they removed their ability to go 4 meta perk go brrr
that may be but the point still stands, sometimes you gotta take risks, bending over backwards to please everyone usually just ends up with a dying game, just look at WH40k eternal crusade, starwars galaxies or guild wars (thats what the mmo was called right? it didnt have a separate name?), sure people play them but the numbers dwarf in comparison to when they first lift off.
DOTA2 has the right mind set, they make changes not giving a crap about the meta as long as it makes less used stuff stronger and strong stuff not so strong without breaking it they do it because they know people adapt or they get bored with the same meta day in and day out (cough ESO cough), hell on some occasions they DO deliberately break the worst stuff by making them op just to give them a chance to shine till they nerf it to more acceptable levels.

Overwatch 2 plans to segment and Destiny 2 said they are considering segmenting K&M and controller users when they finally launch cross-play.
thanks for the specifics, couldn't quite find the exact info on it
-
Trapper
1: all traps are by default darkened and addons that do this instead reveal the survivor for 1 or 2 seconds each time they attempt an escape, if they escape they will hemo for 10 or 20 seconds (or depends on rank)
2: trap placing speed addons become baseline and instead are replaced with muffled traps that make the traps slightly harder to escape but do not cause the survivor to scream (the killer is still notified of the trap being triggered)
nerf: stepping in your own trap now takes an extra 1.5 seconds to get out of and jams that trap for 10 seconds so it cannot trigger again by survivor or yourself till it "cools down"

linked ability the thing you are recommending vs teachable perk that can show up in the shrine. no
Freddy's powers vs any of the base game powers :)
your move.
point still stands if you know what killer your going against you already A: know what his power does bar some slight debate on addon impact and B: know roughly what perks they will be using due to killers needing specific perks to counter the best survivor perks.
on the other end of the spectrum if i load up killer i can see what skin their survivors are using but i wont know a single perk they will have till they use it or hell i wont even be able to do that if its stuff like spineless, bond, prove thy self, etc.
"Power/Talent" for survivor skins will give some perks the love they need while also giving the more over used ones to specific survivors so if they do select said survivor you at least know what their power/talent is just as well as how survivors know what a killers power does when they see the killer.

forcing a non-meta slot into the highly meta slot but also making people choose between meta perks because its strong but not strong enough to counter everything?
i like it.
-
the survivor issue could have been fixed long ago by giving survivors only 3 perk slots but making their strongest perk their "power/talent" so claud for instance would have self care built in or meg would have adrenaline as hers, then you buff the "powers/talents" to be power worth the forced slot and bam.
you now have survivors who you can KINDA guess how they work at first glance since you will know their "power/talent" but you still wont know their perks, similar to how survivors can roughly guess how a killers perks will probably be as soon as they look at you since they will know your powers.
this would also discourage stacking multiple super strong "safety" perks because most of them will be survivor "powers/talents" so you wont see D-strike on anyone unless its Lau or borrowed time on everyone unless they are Bill.
-
one thing im surprised doesnt exist is a green item/flashlight addon that basically gives you a one use fire cracker, i mean you get one instant blind and thats it, great when used right, useless if used wrong, and with the new light borne perk coming soon there would be a counter for it

lol, have you played on controller before? You can do a 360 just as easy as K&M. Flick and hold the right stick and spin the left stick. Actually, I'll tell you the truth about the whole thing because I play on PC and Xbox and I find it way easier to do spins on a controller because you don't need a rhythm to spin on a controller. You can literally just spam, oh and another thing if you're a controller player and if a Survivor is spinning just back up on the left stick and they'll run into you. Its not hard to counter K&M because again this isn't a precision game and the game itself has its own auto aim. Don't believe me? Lunge and don't let go of M1 and your camera will chase the Survivor. I think it'll be fine, if I can do it, anyone else can.
Huntress and Deathslinger are going to be a surprise for consoles players but thats okay because they'll be a Survivor not a Killer.
i play using both, the thing isn't so much about "how ez it is" but the fact its just far easier to do so on a K&M over a controller, theres a reason shooter games with any matchmaking sense separate controllers from K&M unless they specifically allow themselves to mis-match with others because it causes a severe difference in impact.
a good nurse or huntress on a K&M is still far stronger than a good spirit on a controller because they'll have much stronger control, and i dont mean sensitivity settings i mean actual control over their aim from the mouse alone.

being able to see fellow survivors perk and item loadout as well as offering so we can try to synergize better as randoms, this wouldn't even benefit SWF because they know this information already.
better gate placements on maps since nothing says fun like having a closed hatch and a huntress with both gates within throwing distance of each other.
when playing killer if the enemy has a SWF they'r repair speed should be handicapped per party member, randoms should be un-effected by this.

just thought i'd chime in, just had a killer with no perks playing gunslinger with only reload speed addons and a pudding was able to find a survivor within seconds of starting, hooked and immediatly shot at a survivor behind cover out of sight, figured "great a sweaty killer" but things got suspisious when i saw the person being unable to loop him at all because he knew exactly where to turn around, again figured a sweaty killer but then the real point appeared.
as soon as he downed him he went into the next room and immediatly pulled a guy out of a locker, no noise, no running no nothing just straight to the correct locker (its the 4 locker line up) and proceeded to hook him, figured great this guy is defo sweaty or smurfing.
then the obvious thing clicked, i had already made my way to the other end of the map hoping to keep away and let him mop up (im running urban and distortion so no chilli attempts), right after he hooked the slug he went stright to my direction, no searching or attempts at checking gens he IMMEDIATELY went straight for me so much so he shot straight at my cover which im assuming he didn't think he'd hit because it was a box, so i did what any last ditch attempt solo survivor does, unhook as many people as i cant and hide.
nope the moment he re-hooked people he went straight on me again, so i unhooked again and body blocked in an attempt to maybe have them keep him busy, the moment he hooked me he was on the other player with no hessitation at all, didn't even look at scratches just ran the other path straight to their location.
didnt bother struggling, neither did the 2 other guys, i start watching and this guy was dauntlessly on his ass, no doubts about it at that point this guy had hacks on, even when he had balanced landing and dead hard the guy chased him exactly on his location running backwards with only small turn arounds to make sure he was still following, allowing the guy to bleed out and then he proceeded to "headbang" and shoot at him till end game took him.
end game stats show he had no perks, 2 reload addons and a pudding.
checked his steam profile and was defo tipped off at that point, guy has several achievements unlocked at the exact same time on the exact same minute that didnt make sense, most noticeably kill first survivor by own hand, sacrifice 25 survivors, sacrifice 1000 players and adept pyramid head.
all on the same day, same hour, same minute.

I think it's about time solo queue players get equal info to SWF and then killers should be buffed up to that level, Eliminating/quelling the swf problem
technically it'll never be on equal footing since SWF will always have the advantage of voice comms (for now) and the experience of playing with said player(s) for multiple games but bridging that gap will go a huge distance in allowing killers and survivor perks to be adjusted so they are better for both ends, i mean as a SWF half the perks are dwarfed by voice comms alone
