Still feels like nurse has no counterplay

She's a good killer and still the best one obviously but you can never outrun one unless they just aren't playing her properly and i don't think that should be the bar between her being oppressive to where you can do nothing to get away and to where she can't get more than maybe one hook. Especially now that more and more are running infectious fright and now thanks to buffed knock out. I doubt anything will be done but wanted to voice the opinion. Like none of the killers are as oppressive as she is to where you can do little to nothing to counter her. Spirit can be countered billy can be countered oni and freddy can be countered but it feels like nurse can't. Also if you're gonna say don't run in a straight line i know that isn't the problem.

  • well i mean survivors main defense i to avoid confrontation with the killer by looping or stealthing, how do you compete with something that can teleport in a chase? stealth.

easiest way to avoid being dead is to ghost the killer so they dont find you and nurse has horrible first person prospective so be sneaky and he'll get fustrated.

now if your a solo survivor like me thats where the issue starts cropping up, baddies start feeding her hits for her game slowdown then run around everwhere getting spotted easily making theg ame 3or2 v1

  • I think your problem is you try to juke her the same way every time, assuming she won't see it coming after the first time.

  • On an open map like auto-haven, against a good Nurse yeah shes extremely deadly.

I’m not sure how you could nerf her any further at this point though without making her unplayable

Sometimes thats it but i usually try to outplay her the way i do other killers but i can never tell if when i get caught i can never tell if they just got lucky with teleporting wrong or if they knew what i was gonna do but the open maps don't make it any better.

Yeah that's why im not saying nerf. A nerf on the good nurse mains would probably not do much but for everyone else it'd be terrible. I just don't think she is really a fair killer on the lower skilled end of playing her nor on the high end for survivors but idk.

  • Run into buildings, lose her from sight then attempt a stealthy escape.

Overall I've had little issues avoiding nurses unless they're really good, most of them are still learning at some point and mostly confuse themselves when they cannot see you or you run into a big building with multiple paths, you just gotta play tricky as soon as you lose her, Quick and quiet can also help you at times like those if you feel like using it.

  • She has chase counterplay (and a few others), it's called breaking LOS and gaining distance forcing her to make educated guess on where to blink which you can predict as well. Ofc if you're in the open and close to her you're dead meat so evade situations where you'd be in the open vs her as much as possible.

She's one of the few high tier killers you don't want to be close to you which is what makes her fun to vs, she's not to be messed with and requires different playstyle then other loopable killers.

  • If you're going against a master Nurse, no, there is no counter. But, the vast majority of the time you are not going against that, so you can still do things like run out of line of sight, double back, fake doubling back and run directly away, run around strange collision objects, hide, etc.
