Playing efficiently isn't changing the goal of the game. There is no counter for keys.

Pretty much this
What's the problem with keys? 3 survivors being able to escape from the hatch after they 3-genned themselves because they were mindlessly genrushing
Remove that and keys are fine
Except for the green key, that's still a stupid, useless joke that will get you tunneled to death for nothing
To know you and everyone else are just getting mad because people are playing efficiently and you're not as good as you think you are just like everyone else that complain about this mechanic bro.. straight fact this discussion comes up time and time again

I can tell you with absolute certainty that when you run the killer for 5 gens, you will not depip mate.
Been there done that, have ran killers for 5 gens and died on my 1st or 2nd hook and still safety pipped or pipped.
Killers will only safety pip when all survivor escape if they have enough hooks.
If you have less then 9 hooks as killer than you will depip.
If you kill or insta down every survivor you will depip, and on rare occasions you safety pip.
😉
With 100% certainty I've done that and I've seen other people do it as well what gets me is I don't know why you lie like that like you gain nothing from lying the fact that you come on here and lie like that boggles me just completely throws me

Yeah, they're basically saying "We don't want to spend money on competent community management, so we're just going to put the onus on players instead."
This is really bad. I've been falsely reported for "wall hacks" so many times in the past on Nurse because I'm good at the character. This is absolutely not the community to deploy this type of system on.
Yep and everyone's still going to support it because well I don't know why

Survivor queue times are slower the later the day goes on and it has nothing to do with how easy or difficult their games are.
Exactly I get way faster matches in the morning then I do in the evening and in the evening I often have to wait upwards up to 20 minutes at best just to find a match so this guy is having a mental breakdown literally over nothing it's so hilarious

one game I was doing nothing but patrolling generators and they still were flying by fast.
Gen speeds are ######### insane
You clearly weren't applying any pressure and if you were you were applying it on the wrong side of the map so again it's not gen rushing it's you

If anything, if you'd give it a try, you could learn a thing or two for your own killer gameplay. See what weaknesses you can exploit and all that.
He's stuck in his ways he's not going to do that that just watching his VOD was ample evidence that enough to not take this guy seriously

I'm comparing 4 overwhelming perks to 4 overwhelming perks lol
Dead hard can't be used the whole match lol it also has it's trigger (getting injured). Here is some situations where dead hard is countered:
- The killer has a instadown
- Your in a dead zone
- Killer waits for it
- Exhaustion perks/add-ons
I wouldn't compare dead hard to corrupt but at least corrupt guaranteed works every game but if you want to, you can stop any survivor getting value out of their dead hard.
Also for the other 3 perks that the OP mentioned they also have a trigger. DS is literally tunnelling a survivor who isn't trying to progress the game, BT is the same. For unbreakable value you need to get slugged, which doesn't always happen.
Yep and people are going to ignore these facts in pursuit of their own personal narrative because people like this I just laugh at

yeah I was told the mistake I made was kicking a generator without perks.
that alone should tell you kicking gens needs a ######### buff
If that's what you think but from what I saw you chase the guy for 2 minutes why why chase them for that long that was your biggest mistake like the amount of gennys that can get done in that time frame you were asking for it
-
@Lord_Tony said:
again you're forgetting the fact killers kicking generators without perks is 100% useless and gen speeds are super ######### fast.
so we can't be expected to use ruin, pop and corrupt now?
yes they are crutch perks but we need them because kicking mechanics are ######### garbage. It also doesn't help gen tapping is a thing
survivors with their crutch perks need them for their lack of skill. There is a huge difference
Your style of gameplay that's what needs a buff because I don't even play killer and I know half for the stuff that you did is a no no
-
The problem are not generators the problem is you with all the bus that The Killers have been getting lately and you still can't kill anything it's not the game it's your lack of skill

For the longest time in ages, I dared myself to go through the process of reporting a cheater who I caught using clear cheats in a match. You know, the typical Ghostface flying in the air throwing Huntress Hatchets. I had even video evidence and did the in-game report.
So here I go filling out the form online through the official channel to make sure this cheater gets banned from the game. Putting aside the ridiculous amount of garbage information the devs request from us like Offender's Steam ID (Which is a downright ridiculous thing to ask), my Cloud ID on top of my Steam ID, like I was the offender here in a trial. Why do I need to provide so much information about myself like my Steam ID alone was not enough?
ANYWAY! Once everything was filled and I press send, ups... what did my eyes see? That's right. The video I submitted along with the form as evidence for my report could not be uploaded due to taking too long for the server to handle it. I have over 150mbps (Download) and 10mbps (Upload) so I know this is not an error on my side. This is also not the first time this has happened.
The fact that filling out the form requires so much time and so much effort to get all the needed information is an insult to the community that wishes to better the game for everyone by exposing cheaters. This is our precious time we spend for you BHVR and yet you do not provide us the proper tools to report cheaters.
It amazes me how every other competitive online game I play has the modern report system in place but Dead by Daylight which has been around since 2016 and is making so much money can't invest in a good report system even to this day. What is taking you guys so long?!
But but resident evil

Keys are nowhere close to the power of moris were. With keys, both the objective has to be done and others have to die. Then the hatch has to be found. And that assumes the killer doesn’t have franklins. Extremely situational and a lot of work on the survivor part.
Now look at Moris. Cut the objective in exactly half, when the objective of killer is already a walk in the park. Most of the time Moris were used for revenge and a player was eliminated from the match within a minute. Does a key have that kind of power? No.
For keys to be like Moris, all four survivors would win when 2.5 gens were done. Statistically, its been shown and said by the devs themselves that key escapes are extremely low. They have no impact in the large grand scheme of things. Moris did.
They are not comparable. Saying keys should be nerfed because moris were nerfed is killer entitlement.
It's so true but the sad part is it doesn't fit their narrative so therefore they're not going to accept that argument

The skillcheck is only a problem for inexperienced players, it's actually beneficial for veterans since it lets them preserve it for their 2nd hook if they wanted to, maybe to prevent getting tunneled at the end game or to not waste it when someone is going to get a pallet/flashy save on them.
So true when I first started using it I missed the skill check every time and I hated myself for it

Right. What I am arguing is the irony that survivors "need a perk" when the killer can force a snowball by proxy camping which is reduced to you like easy kills if you have to choose that method of killing survivors.
If I were you I wouldn't waste my time arguing with them they're stuck in their position you do well arguing with red snow

Whenever a surivor is hooked there is a 20s window where the survivor has the camrardery effect and can not be saved there will be entitey blockers around them on the ground
Then added camrardery to allow saveing before that 20s window and extended the timer like normal if the killer is close to the hook
These changes will punish campers give more value out of perks like make your choice and devour
While denying hook rushes
Thoughts
Yes I like this

Yet missing a hit that otherwise would have connected, or making it to a loop they otherwise wouldn't have, is a pretty good way to have the chase duration extend drastically, the same as hitting a healthy Survivor gives them time to run while the Killer is wiping their weapon.
I also didn't say it is a second health state, because it obviously isn't. I said it 'basically is', which means it comes close to having the same outcome, which it does.

Because now DS has been nerfed they have to turn their attention elsewhere. If they get their way, soon enough survivors won't be allowed to have any perks
Well if they keep going at this rate they won't have any survivors to kill
-
@Superyoshiegg said:

Because it's only relatively recently been used as a perk to gain distance to a loop or window. People are only just now realising that it is far more effective at that than it is at dodging hits.
The latency causing exhaustion on the floor doesn't help this disparity, either.
No it's not a second health because you're still injured, even after you use it. Missing a hit does not equates having a second state.

there is gen rushing and then there is gen rushing.
what would you call it if a 4-man squad comes in with toolboxes, all have BMP, all have prove thyself and Stake Out and Fast Track and all focus above all else at doing the gens as fast as possible.
would you call it: "being super efficient at completing the generators"?
orr "doing the gens very fast"
orr rushing...as in being in a hurry to get something done and as it partakes to the generators we shall call it rushing the generators or gens for short or just gen rushing.
I mean there is the concept, but then there is just plain English....
I call it playing the game because here's something that you clearly missing not everybody has all the time in the world to play this game some people have jobs kids responsibilities so when I see people just Rockin tool boxes it's they just want to get it over with and if you don't like it then oh well but you can't get mad at people because they won't allow you to waste their time some people don't have an hour or two to play heck some people don't even have 40 minutes to spare sometimes things you just got to get over. So that's why when I hear people using the term gen rushing I laugh at him because it's funny they're funny let me ask you a question would you like to stay in the game for like an hour 45 minutes?
-
Gen rushing does not exist it was coined by bad killers that over committed to a chase for too long and pay the price.

Why did it take such little time for a announcement that jflicking- which actually takes skill- to be called an exploit that will be gone soon. BUT this breakdown exploit (I am sure the devs can see their stats, that breakdown was basically NEVER USED until this whole bug happened.) has yet to be even talked about? Breakdown was never ran, ever. Now you have 4 person swfs all bringing it and somehow, some way, this is not a red flag?
That's a lie just because you don't use a perk doesn't mean everyone else doesn't use it
-
@deckyr said:
