I’ve made my fair share of killer concepts both original and licensed, but, currently I’m working on one for Malzeno
Is it a massive pipe dream that single-handedly gave me a massive Copium addiction? Sure, but I still fully see something Monster Hunter related not only fitting into DBD, but fitting in spectacularly
-
First Nicolas Cage and now Rainbow ######### Six
People make fun of me for wanting Monster Hunter in DBD but I swear it's becoming more and more plausible with every new collab we get
-
This game is Horror Super Smash Bros and I ######### love it

I'm crying.............😭😭😭
Same bro, same
I have the same feeling you get when you return home after a long time right now
-
This gets suggested at least once a month and the answer remains unchanged
Never going to happen, DBD's not a competitive game and nobody's going to play a "ranked" gamemode without the mother of all incentives
Comp DBD is the worst version of DBD that exists, stop suggesting it
-
Honestly the best part of this animation is the idea of Springtrap and Singularity working together in a multi-killer gamemode
I'd kill for that to be a actual thing
-
God I hope so, Haste in general needs a massive nerf but neutering MFT would be a great start
-
Okay, hear me out on this
It's not a exact match and I am 100% high off of Copium, but the picture on the wall does kinda match up with Malzeno's head
-
So let me get this completely straight
We currently have Made For This, a perk that gives you 3% haste (and mathematically 20% longer chases on average) with zero downsides, activation requirements, or duration, which also stacks with other Haste effects and Resilience, We also currently have Boil Over, a perk that basically makes you unhookable on certain maps depending on where you go down, and synergises with Breakout to make you almost impossible to hook wherever you go down
But rather then talking about those two perks, you "complain" about Breakdown, a perk that almost nobody uses, and doesn't really affect the state of the game that much without a lot of setup in the form of offerings and sabotaging other hooks
Do I have that correct or am I missing something?
-
I originally believed that the Potential Energy icon was Vittorio charging up some form of magic DBZ energy ball and I thought that was really funny
-
The first month after the DH Rework was some of the best entertainment I have ever had
Watching people try to E for distance and fail miserably was nothing short of peak comedy
-
I'm willing to say that this is the best Event we've gotten, it's fun, engaging, and sets a precedent for more interesting events in the future
-
My assumption is that the servers are really struggling due to a player influx, what with the Halloween event being so fun to play
That or DBD's getting DDoSed, which I doubt
-
I don't know what's going on with the servers but I straight up could not play any DBD last night due to getting consistent Red Ping every single lobby
Either the servers are unable to handle the amount of people playing right now or something else is wrong, but it's a serious mood-killer
-
As someone who also has High-Functioning Autism, I feel ya bro
You can't stop people from being ######### but you certainly won't be catching me notification-spamming
-
I looked at this image and heard the Halloween Piano
I have a distinct feeling I should be scared
-
Lerys is a masterclass in the "Abandoned Creepy Hospital" Horror trope and I love it
-
Not to sound like a contrarian, but I'm of the opinion that Singularity is the best designed killer we have ever had, for one simple reason, he's the only killer we have that perfectly balances Micro gameplay and Macro gameplay
A lot of killers only focus on chases and getting around the map, which is the Micro part of the game, the only killers we have that focus on Macro are Trapper, Hag, and Skull Merchant, they focus on setting up a web then luring people into the web, the strategy isn't "I'm going to kill you in chase as quickly as possible", the strategy is "I'm going to force you into my web and snowball from there"
In contrast, Singularity can do both, Slipstream and Overclock are some of the most powerful powers for chasing, it completely ignores Exhaustion perks like Sprint Burst and Lithe, ignores the speed boost from injuring survivors, deletes pallets, shuts down windows, and lets you teleport across the goddamn map, however, it also requires a lot of micro-managing and setting up in order to get value from it, if you only play Singularity as a set up killer, you'll lose because you're not taking advantage of how quickly you can set up Biopods and how strong Overclock is, if you play him as only a aggressive chaser, you'll probably still lose because you're not taking advantage of the fact that Biopods are cameras that also work as in-built slowdown, their mere presence often forces survivors off of gens in order to get EMPs, and those few seconds can add up a lot
A match against a good Singularity feels like a match against Nurse if she was actually balanced, Biopods make Singularity practically omnipresent, he can ignore map resources while still having to chase normally, can teleport across the map in seconds, and ignore speed boosts, but he has to set that up beforehand AND it can be countered by EMPs
Singularity's well designed, he's oppressive, but oppressive in a way that feels fair and earned, he constantly forces survivors to be doing something, and whenever he wins, it's almost always because the Singularity pulled off the perfect balance of running you down in chase while also using the Biopods to keep you off of gens
Shame nobody plays him other then like 10 people, me included
-
It needs the Furtive Chase treatment and get reworked in its entirety, Boil Over is either entirely useless or makes you completely immune to getting hooked depending on the map you are on

How the heck would they add a Malzeno? Don't get us wrong, we want one BAD but that would seem abit much for fairness....
I don’t know how they’d do it but I can dream
-
Normally I agree with Otz, but this list is probably the most I have ever disagreed with someone when it comes to DBD
Everything in Quite Unhealthy with the exception of Knock Out and MFT are perfectly healthy for the game, Adrenaline and No Way Out do literally nothing for you until the very end of a match, Deliverance is a coinflip on if it actually is able to do anything (Requiring the user to not get found first and get a safe unhook) and STBFL isn't even good on 80% of the killers in the roster, and the ones it is good on get value from the user knowing when to m1 and when to m2
As for the Very Unhealthy perks, they're not very strong on their own, Pentimento requires other hexes to entice survivors to actually get rid of totems, and Buckle Up is only good against slugging or with FTP, both perks have simple counters (Just cleanse the totems again/wait out the Endurance) and require you to build a perk loadout around them, which is a good thing since it encourages build variety
The only perks I think really are "Unhealthy" in DBD's current state are Boil Over due to map design, Knock Out due to slugging being boring, and MFT for being a 3% speed boost with zero downside that just ######### over most of the killer roster, that is it, every other perk on the list is either not nearly as unhealthy as he thinks or is just flat-out bad without dedicating builds around them
-
I'm still waiting on these MFs and I will continue waiting until they get in
We need more out-of-the-box killers and licenses honestly
-
I've been carrying this nickname or some variety of it for the better part of a decade now and pretty much use it for everything
Made a entire fictional story and lore surrounding it too, not even kidding
-
EMPs do exactly ######### all if you play Singularity aggressively and use the power in chase, like you are meant to.
Stop playing Singularity like a pure area control killer and start playing him like the aggressive chaser he is designed to be, you can replace a disabled camera in less then a second and make the EMP completely pointless
You are going to be punished hard by EMPs if you use the power incorrectly, so stop using the power incorrectly and you'll do far, FAR better with Singularity
-
Matchmaking is entirely dependant on RNG and is decided by a slot machine
That's why you get comically mismatched games like this
-
@CountOfTheFog said:
Ultimate Weapon doesn't show your aura the way LP and Nowhere to Hide does, does it? What exactly does the killer see? Is it like what The Doctor sees when he shocks people?
Ultimate Weapon causes survivors to scream, which creates a small bubble similar to Survivors hit by Doctor's Static Blast and when they get hooked
It's not as good as a normal Aura, but it's still very useful
-
Commodious Toolboxes are generally considered the best option, but you can make use of any Toolbox and still get a lot of value from BNPs
-
M1 swings while the killer is carrying a survivor do count for it and have pretty short range, Sprint Burst and Dramaturgy also work pretty well for it
It is unfortunately more reliant on the killer being bad then you being good, so don't be shocked if getting it takes a while
-
Well thank ######### for that
-
I really fail to see the issue with Ultimate Weapon to be perfectly honest
The scream only happens once per activation, does not work at super close range due to the way scream bubbles work, can be hard countered by Calm Spirit (which in and of itself is a semi-solid perk on Stealth builds anyway), has a 30 second cooldown, and doesn't guarantee you will be able to get into a chase with the information, plus it requires you to open a locker to activate, which aren't always readily available and waste a good few seconds of time
Meanwhile Lethal Pursuer just exists, it basically guarantees you can get into a chase at the very start of the match unless you get unlucky and synergises with every single aura reading perk in the game, which is much more valuable then scream bubbles due to being semi-useable in chase
Lethal is far stronger then UW in every way other then farming screams for challenges or when playing Trickster and Huntress, and yet Lethal is considered perfectly fine while UW isn't
Killers finally got a semi-useful perk that's good in more then 1 specific scenario and ya'll lose your goddamn minds
-
For funny, I feel like Singularity and Blight would be pretty hysterical
Use the biopods for cross map surveillance, tell the Blight "Hey there's someone on the gen here", and watch your bud run at mach 6 towards them
-
10 might be a bit extreme, but do keep in mind that most people generally consider all of the Macmillian maps (Barring Suffocation Pit being a 3-gen Hell) to be pretty balanced on average
Artificially increasing the number of balanced maps in DBD is still increasing the number of balanced maps in DBD
-
I'd say Singularity, Knight, and Dredge
In a completely insane world that doesn't exist, I'd say Xenomorph Queen, do not try and convince me that wouldn't be amazing
-
Now here's to hoping that they make her actually fun to play and play against
-
This is my (highly opinionated) list
Blight and Spirit are in Overpowered due to their addons honestly, they're strong with just their base-kit but not so strong that they become unfun or unfair, it's entirely the addons that push them over the edge
Sadako, Twins, Plague and Xenomorph are extremely good at punishing survivor mistakes and have various tricks that make them highly effective
Bubba's chainsaw is both good for face-camping and shortening chases
Wesker has extremely good map mobility and in-built slowdown
Oni has the best map mobility and snowball potential in the entire game
Singularity can teleport across the map instantly and shorten chases dramatically, on top of shredding through survivor resources faster then any other killer (Ya'll are playing him wrong and I will keep saying this until you stop playing him like a set-up killer and start playing him aggressively)
Artist has cross-map damage, surveillance, and very powerful zoning that forces survivors to either get hit or run
Everyone in balanced is mostly the same, They're good at what they do but require actually getting good with them to get consistent results, Hillbilly especially
Trickster deletes in chase but fails in basically every other category
Hag has good teleportation but suffers from needing to set up, plus having a survivor just run around deleting your traps renders your power pretty moot
Legion has ease-to-Injure and that's it, spread out and don't heal and they can do exactly nothing
Ghostface's stealth is dependant on the map having a lot of LOS Blockers and can be snapped out very easily
Wraith has good map mobility and stealth but his power does nothing against good survivors in Chase
Pig has good map slowdown and a fun Ambush in chase, but has zero map mobility
Trapper requires time to set up and his traps are easy to spot on practically every map
Clown has good chases but that's it
Myers has the worst aged power in the entire game and could seriously use a modern touch-up
Freddy is...well, Freddy
Nurse and Skull Merchant do not play DBD, they play Nurse Simulator 2016 and Gen-Kicking Simulator 2022 respectively
-
6.1.0 could have literally just been the line "We took Dead Hard around the back and shot it" and it would still be one of the best patches this game has ever had
-
Far from it, I'd do the exact same thing
If they don't want to play against Xenomorph, they can either DC or suck it up and play the match anyway
-
I think rather then the actual John Kramer you could have a human sized Billy The Puppet with Kramer's voicelines
-
@Archol123 said:
Also for Freddy, what do you mean he is only slightly more dangerous when in the dream world? HIs whole slowdown chase mechanic only works when asleep? His power basically does nothing if you are awake?
The joke is that Freddy is so bad that his slowdown barely does anything of value in chase, and that you're better off just staying asleep rather then wasting time going for clocks
-
I don't think any perk on the killer side is overpowered in a vacuum, but some perks are definitely stronger on some killers then others
Lethal Pursuer for instance, on most of the killers it's not much a issue, but on killers like Blight and Nurse who can be on you in less then 10 seconds into a game it's unquestionably kinda stupid
Honestly the killer perk balance has been impressively good given how few people I see complaining about perks as of late
-
I think both a turret buff and a addon nerf are warranted tbh
Crawler Mode is fine minus a couple of bugs, but the turrets could definitely do with being a bit more powerful, leading Xeno to the flame turrets is the primary way you stop them from being a threat, but the issue being that they don't do that well enough, especially when combined with the addons
-
@Redrum411 said:
survivors hug the front of you when you chase them in crawl mode. it makes it alot harder to actually hit someone with tail. this one person stated up close and ran right left around me i swung 4 times missed every time. Please give xeno a way to cancel crawl mode to hit people who do this. i feel this is going to be the new tatic to fight xeno.
You do know you can M1 during Crawler Mode, right?
Literally just do that and you've countered the "get in your face to dodge the tail" trick

That's literally Divine Intervention
Honestly? You're probably right
-
Can confirm, tried using a RPD Offering 3 times, and all of them caused a Error 502 (or 520 I can't quite remember) that caused everyone to go to the end-game screen
Honestly I'm not sure if this is a blessing in disguise or not
-
@Raconteurminator said:
You have 101 offerings to get the achievement. I don't like those odds.
Godspeed, you masochist. Godspeed.
Well, there is a very slight change in plans unfortauntely
For whatever reason, the RPD Offering causes the match to crash and boot everyone to the end-game lobby screen, meaning that I can't reliably grind for Outbreak Breakout
Not going to stop me from getting Power Moves, but still
-
Force Xeno to chase you into areas with flamethrower turrets and she'll be far less effective, and even if that isn't a option, the Tail can be avoided relatively easily if you're quick on your feet
I quite like getting chased by Xeno, it forces you to think about where you're running too, adding a level of strategy to the chase not a lot of killers really have

Holly, when did this change happened? Had no idea, tks for the info
It happened as of Xenomorph's release, so literally today
Wasn't mentioned in the patch notes at all for some reason either
-
They changed the activation button, rather then pressing E while working on a gen, you now need to go next to the gen and press F
It's a little less intuitive but you can drive-by plant it now without needing to work on a gen for a few seconds, so honestly I see it as a buff
-
-
Lethal Pursuer for killer and Fixated for survivor
I like being able to immediately find someone or see my scratch marks and walk 20% faster
