Yes but they are killing themself on hook because of penalties. This is also bad design. And when survivor do this, you are losing teammate and you are not getting bot to replace them.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3526868#Comment_3526868
I did? And it was not problem at all. People was dc'ing whenever they lose. And it helped to matchmaking as well. Queues was fast.
We should not be encouraging a "It's my ball and I am allowed to leave with it" attitude to DBD, at all, that's why the penalties are there
And for the record, people were not DCing just because they were losing, I played during times where the penalties were off, people were DCing because of the maps, the killer, even the goddamn offerings if a map offering got countered by a sacrificial ward
I do not want to play against bots or be on a team with bots every single game just because some baby didn't like the map we got, or the killer is someone they don't like, or their stupid offering got countered, or they went down first, or any number of pathetic reasons
DC Penalties are a good thing, if people are so weak-willed and childish that they'll reach for the DC button as soon as a match loads, they shouldn't be playing in the first place
-
If you had played at any point where the penalties were off, you'd understand why they're a thing
-
I'm torn on Indoor maps honestly
On one hand, Lerys is my favourite map in the game, and Hawkins was one of my all-time favourites
On the other, RCPD, The Game, and Midwich all have such a cavalcade of problems that I audibly groan every single time I get them
Guess it just depend on how the loops on the maps work, Lerys and Hawkins have engaging loops and a wide variety of RNG when it comes to pallet and window placements, keeping each match fresh, whereas The Game, RCPD, and Midwhich are all just narrow hallways with at least 30 pallets and 5 super safe windows, where every match plays out the exact same regardless of killer, run to pallet, throw it down, run to next pallet
If the loops are fun, I'm a fan, if they're just brainless pallet spam, I am not a fan

- Design a set up, zone control killer.
- Realise you just made one of those.
- Realise that one is universally despised.
- Add in restrictions and counters to the set up, zone control power to prevent it being used for 3-gen defence, so that it only works for a few seconds at a time, meaning it can only be used in chase and not as a set up power at all.
- Wonder why players don't 'get it'.
The problem with this being that Singularity isn't meant to be JUST a zone control killer, he's a aggressive chaser and pallet shredder with cross-map surveillance
If you are playing him like Skull Merchant, you are playing him wrong

Doesn’t new RPD spawn with a guaranteed 3-gen? Or did the devs change that?
The main lobby is guaranteed to spawn at least one gen and very likely to spawn two
If you get two gens here and the killer knows what they are doing and has Eruption and/or Overcharge, you can't win
-
I wouldn't be too worried, Scott has never done cross-franchise collabs, and unless he says yes then a FNAF Chapter is entirely off the table

Some people only enjoy insulting the weaker ones like bullies
Also, why does the game put a completely new player against experienced opponents in the first place?
RNG Matchmaking is one hell of a drug

Simple, the game's still fun, if I wasn't having fun, I wouldn't bother playing it
-
Not sure how spicy of a take this is going to be, But I could give less of a damn about what "Competitive" players think
For one, it doesn't take a Comp player to recognise what is and isn't overpowered, MFT's extremely strong, this is something that should be obvious just by reading the perk description and playing the game for a few hours, for two, Competitive players do not play the same game we do, they don't play in the wild-wests of regular matchmaking, they play in custom lobbies in organised cups and tournaments, Why should I care about the opinion of someone who doesn't play the same game I do?
And on another note, why should I care about Knightlight's opinion when he just says "X is bad" with zero follow-up? Like congrats mate, you stated one of the most obvious facts and used exactly none of your "Competitive Knowledge" to explain WHY MFT is a problem in the version of the game you do not play even though that would have taken you less then 30 seconds, I'm so moved /s
-
This is purely subjective and down to the individual player's tastes
For example, I hate playing Hillbilly, Blight and Nurse, but love playing Demo, Singularity, and Knight, whereas someone else might love playing what I hate and hate playing what I love
But if I have to make a recommendation, I'd recommend Legion, simple, decently effective, and good chase music, very fun if you're just looking to run and stab people
-
Autodidact has a hidden Desire Sensor
You are not going to get any healing skillchecks when you are using it, and get several hundred healing skillchecks when you aren't using it, just the way this cruel world works
-
It'll have a small dip in players for like 2 maybe 3 weeks, then the player numbers will go right back up
I hope TCM's successful, really I do, but you can't compete with DBD's Licenses nor it's staying power
You do not outlive all of your competition by several years without doing at least a few things right
-
SBMM and MMR are not real, stop believing blatantly and obviously false information
-
Skill Issue, old Dead Hard was a mistake of game design and should have never been in the game in the first place

Does that mean Xenomorph will be the cat? Honestly seems fitting.
If somebody can draw Demo and Xenomorph playing with a ball of yarn together while The Entity watches with confusion and mild amusement I would be beyond happy
-
And some people wonder why I refuse to take the idea of Comp DBD seriously when rules like this are in place

Me too but, what if you had a 50/50 coinflip and heads you get Keanu, tails you get Elon? Would you flip that coin?
Either we get Keanu Reeves, or we get to repeatedly kill a fictional version of one of the most insufferable humans alive
I fail to see how we could lose this coinflip

Never played Danganronpa but I have been told it is somewhat similar to Ace Attorney, wouldn't something along those lines be too light hearted for this game?
Danganronpa is Ace Attorney if Ace Attorney was about a nihilistic sadist literally ending the world just because she felt like it
I am not even kidding
-
So long as Jake gets a Shuichi skin, I'm happy with the idea of Danganronpa getting a skin collection
if AOT can get a skin collection, anything's possible
-
Skill Based Matchmaking is a myth, matchmaking is determined by a slot machine and that's all there is to it
-
I am going to run all 3 of these every single match until they stop being funny
And even then, I'll probably still run them anyway because perks like these are my jam
-
It probably will at some point, but it's not likely to be changed for a while if the 7.0.2 bugfix is anything to go by
-
DBD is a casual party game, it is not, it has never been, and it will never be a game made for any form of competitive play, not E-Sports, not big tournaments, nothing like that,
Can we stop trying to add or even suggest something that fundamentally misunderstands what DBD is like for the love of all that is good in this world? Especially when every single ######### attempt at "Competitive" DBD has gone up in flames?
-
Idk what killers you're been getting but all of the ones I've had have been either pretty chill or infants with less then 10 hours of total playtime
As if I needed more evidence that MMR isn't ######### real lol
-
Definitely a more detailed of version of the FNAF 3 model, it's his most iconic design that manages to be genuinely scary when you really think about it's implications and look at the details
Honestly the hardest part of adding Springtrap to DBD wouldn't really be the model, but rather then animations, he'd have to maintain a balance between robotic and human, like someone desperately struggling to move despite being trapped in a walking coffin, you can't go too far in one of those directions without fundamentally losing part of Springtrap's character
-
Game Afoot and Lethal Pursuer are my favourite perks on him atm, Slipstream the Obsession, break pallet instantly, and then close the distance by moving at 120% for the 7 seconds after the Hindered ends, super fun and a lot more useful then you might think
-
Quick and Quiet with Shadow Step and Lithe is pretty fun, but aside from that I don't really think boons are super useful, which is a shame because the idea behind them is really cool
If only COB wasn't overpowered on release
-
Personally, I have grown a bit fonder of SM since her mid patch buffs, especially with a chasing build where you just zoom around the map at 120% basically constantly, but if there is one thing about her that I will never budge on is that her base outfit is an absolute joke, I think it was made to be mismatched and crap on purpose to encourage people to buy skins, and I'm even more certain of that fact because her outfits have a ton of different good-looking combinations
It's a bit of a shame too, because Singularity exists and basically blows SM out of the water in every single possible way
-
Run Flip-Flop with Unbreakable and pray, that's how I did it
-
You know, I'd never thought someone would complain about Myer's Mirror addons outside of also complaining about how stupid Map Offerings are, but here we are
The Mirror addons are fine as is, you lose out on the Instadowns and, in the case of Scratched Mirror, your ability to lunge, they're not a issue
-
There is no SBMM, it's a slot machine
Get used to it

The devs have refused to do this multiple times because they're trying to make this game serious and scary, not goofy.
Are we playing the same game? Because between Clown's fursonas, the HOY skins, Skull Merchant's Summer Outfit, the Naughty Bear outfit for Trapper that's getting added soon, and Shirtless Vittorio and Shirtless David, it feels to me like DBD is becoming increasingly goofy as time goes on
Not a bad thing mind, I quite like the idea of the game not taking itself uber seriously, but just food for thought
-
When Victor Salva dies the slow, cold, lonely, and painful death he deserves, then we can consider it
Until then, hell no
-
The Game and both Swamp Maps
-
This is not real, There is no conceivable universe in which this is real
This is a out of season April Fools joke and I refuse to believe otherwise
-
Surge and Deadlock are still a thing
-
Didn't know that exactly 2 different strategies (Gen-lock and Chasing with Geographical Readout and AMP) counted as "numerous" but hey you learn something new every day
I've taken a shine to playing her with a chase loadout since her buffs but that doesn't change the fact that SM is objectively the worst designed killer in the game, her base design makes little sense, her lore makes no sense, and your only real choice for how you play her is "slap drones on gens", and nothing short of a full design rework is going to change that
-
To each their own but quite honestly I'd rather have to spend a bit of extra time catching up to someone then not being allowed to lunge without throwing the match
-

What's wrong with the hold w/ interaction?
It's kind of boring to deal with, especially if all 4 survivors are doing it
Looping is the most fun part of a DBD Chase, that doesn't happen if you're just holding W to the nearest pallet and drop it as soon as you reach it

That is what I did, but even then, gens were flying

At this point it feels like her entire lore is making fun of her. If that’s the intention then it should’ve been more clearly stated
This just hurts to read tbh. This was their chance to redeem skill merchant and it’s only gotten worse
I've been cackling like a idiot for the last 15 minutes just reading this
I assume they meant it to read as "She executed her obsessions and made them suffer" or something along those lines but completely ######### up the translation

My feeling has been her lore was based on Mark Twitchell, the Dexter Killer.
He was a wannabe serial killer out of Edmonton, Alberta who was also a wannabe filmmaker and into the cosplay/convention scene. Claiming to be inspired by the TV show Dexter he lured men to a set he was using for a horror movie be pretending to by a woman on a dating site. Attacked one who got away, killed one who didn't, was quickly caught after the fact because he was a moron who, among other things, has his whole plan, including what he would do if suspected, on his laptop hidden inside the Recycling Bin in a file titled SK Confessions
That explains so much about SM it's kind of funny
-
Accept that matches will not always go your way, and take losses as a "How could I have done this differently so that I won't make the same mistakes in the future" moment if possible, recording your matches can help
But, most importantly, breathe and remember that it is a video game where you're playing the one against a group of four, there is zero pressure to do well for your teammate's sake
-
I like running Flashbang/Blast Mine/Pebble
The objective is to either burn the killer's eyes out or discombobulate them so hard they completely lose track of you, it's really fun
-
Bold of you to assume DBD has any form of matchmaking
It's a slot machine, get used to it
-
Matchmaking isn't real and this is a hill I will die on

I can’t think of a single hook that only has one entrance to it. Where is this supposed hook at?
Basement in the main building of Eyrie of Crows, it only has one entrance so if the killer is camping it you're forced to take a hit or go down
-
Head On is apparently being used in Competitive now as a way to waste more of the killer's time
I legit think the game would be worse off if it was removed for that reason alone
