All Battle Passes that have ever existed have always had empty spots. I do agree though that there should be something more interesting besides those common charms that nobody uses.
I am not familiar with other battle-passes as truth be told, DBD is the only one I've ever played toward.
But I think, at the very least, the 'blank slots' should include maybe a bonus 50,000bp. That would be a nice touch.
-
All tiers should contain something...whether it be a recoloured skin part, a quantity of shards or something else. Just put something in that space.

RIP blights my favorite killer so I took to him quickly
I was just going through the killers I hardly play just to get a few Rift tiers.
I haven't played Twins since release when I got their Adept...and got a merciless first game. I tried Blight...2 lucky sacrifices during EGC. I am useless with his bouncing about. I am also crap with Deathslinger and Oni too.
-
I despised Trickster on release, but since the update I actually enjoy playing as him. Even got his Adept, and have had a few merciless victories since.
As a fellow console user, I personally find Blight the worst killer. I really can't get the hang of him...despite getting his Adept (by pure luck).
-
I don't usually get pricey skins for killers I'm not that good with.
-
I will say the old Pyramid Head chase was DBD finest chase music at that point.
-
Just found him.
Smashed with billy.
-
As always, it's Jason.
-
I would be fine with Wolf Creek's Mick Taylor.
-
It's the main reason flashlights are included in the game. There is rift pass challenges associated with it.
However, the killer is often not going to forgive or forget the rescuer. Which is natural vengeance.
What spikes me is this annoying mosquitoes who purposefully follow killers around the map, and as soon as you go to pick up a teammate...*click*...there they are...again.
Had one of these little turds yesterday. A masked Nea skin. Was gleefully taking the piss with the flashlight. One time she got me after she DS'ed me, and stunned me multiple times in the process. She was really enjoying herself. Unfortunately for her and his team of merry men, I destroyed them using Starstruck while they attempted to open the exit gate. Yes: I stood at Nea's hook and nodded as she went on a trip to Entityville.
-
The grind has lessened greatly with the current pass.
500xp instead of 800xp for rift pass progression is far more realistic.
I say this as someone who has been very vocal of the grind involved with past passes.
-
I would like to see Resident Evil 2, with Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield as survivors, Mr X as killer and the Police Station as a map.
Also include Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine as legendary skins.
-
No. It's as bad as ever. Really. In fact it's worse.
Go now, and I'm coming with you.
-
I think post-PTB, the starry-eyed avalanche of cosplay selfies and pervy fan-art was the main driving force.
"Look at the positive reaction! News sites mentioning the game's new content and how some of the players want to be stepped on by the killer! Wow! Talk about success story!"
-
I'm with you bud.
Last night was trying to mop up my last killer rift challenge (3 red malicious).
Oh the fun that was had ๐ I was really struggling to be honest. I managed one emblem, with a Spirit.
So I'm at nearly level 66 of the rift. I'm doing survivor until I get to the end. Then when I get to 70, I'm hardly going to play.
I've got one eyeball-rolling challenge left on the survivor side: Risky Repairs. Yeah, that's going to be fun.
I'm just playing it straight. I honestly feel sorry for a lot of killers when they're put together with these gangs on tormenting morons.
I can't wait to be rid of all this.
-
I'm just flabbergasted at how bad he is.
Admittedly as soon as I saw the character, I thought this isn't my cup of tea...then when I got round to playing him...ruddy 'ell fire...
I have never experienced a killer this bad. Absolutely hideous.

Well I didn't really mean it like that. I mean just wait until you have better perks on him before you say he's bad.
His power is not effective in it's current state. This isn't up for dispute. It's very bad.
Playing him as a M1, users will naturally get better results with strong perks outside his own.
But using his own 3 perks combined with his 'power': horrendous.
He needs a serious buff.
-
I gave up doing Adepts, and I had all of them. Some were really tough and I think I got lucky sometimes.
I've played about 10 games as Trickster and he is absolutely woeful. I've only used him with 3 base perks and getting an Adept is going to a mission to hell.
You'll have to pray for de-pipping and mediocre green teir survivors. And a lot of luck.

Sounds like you're just not good with him and need to learn. My first couple of games went wayy better than yours did and even the bad ones I just blame it on not having perks or not playing as well as I could. Doesn't mean the killer is bad. Just means you need to play him more and get better and better perks
Yeah thanks for that boastful insight. Top notch.
-
Change *Blight for *the.
That's my opinion.
-
The ranking and emblem systems are totally sewage.
-
The only useful aspect of his set up is Starstruck.
His knives are more of a hindrance.
He's got no map pressure.
He's as slow as a snail walking home with it's shopping.
His contant giggling and humming work against him.
This is one floater of a killer. Needs flushing.
-
I have managed to have a go with him for the first time this afternoon.
So thankful I didn't spend money on this rubbish.
All matches with his 3 base perks.
1st match - Tried out his power etc. I hook. 4 escapes. Displeased.
2nd match - When M1. Was stalked by a flashlight clicker. 1 sacrifice and 3 escaped with found key before final gen. Brutal.
3rd match - Tried M1 again. A few hooks, no sacrifices. Someone brought a kay, all left via hatch. Displeased.
4th match- M1. Had a trolling Claudette on one of the house's upper floor continuously jumping over the pallet the whole match (patrolled 3 closest gens). 1 sacrifice. Displeased.
Great times be had ๐๐๐

It's the reason I now detest online gaming.

I'm not paying for anything.

And the laugh gives away his position btw. It makes it harder to trick survivors with mindgames.
"Yeah but he's pretty! Look at all the people on social media, dying their hair and putting make-up on to look like him! Talk about fan satisfaction! See you in the fog!"
-
I'm not discrediting people's irritation with this challenge, but I honestly got it first time.
For me, Risky Repairs is their Rift level's 'clanger'.
-
I can understand survivor frustrations when facing a tunneling killer. I do.
But by having DS as base, this would allow the usual DS/Iron Will/Dead Hard/Borrowed Time SWF crews to run another perk.
Yeah. I can imagine the fun.
-
I have to admit the trapped shack basement is most effective when doing the 'x survivors hooked in basment' challenge.
-
"But don't worry guys: he winks and does a little laugh during chases. So open your wallets. See you in the fog!"

I stopped buying rifts few rifts ago. It's a complete waste of my time and in the end, the cosmetics aren't that cool anyway.
I rather be playing Apex and Rainbow Six and Ill be srill sblr to finish both battle passes in those games without any grind amd still have enough time to play DBD.
I don't play any other game which utilities a pass (not a huge fan of online pvp), but I have seen others who do so.
The progression for basic play is much more rewarding than DBD. And the rewards? In comparison they're far better.
This is why the Rift pass is such a pile of hickory-smoked butt slop.

as people figured, he's all of three killer's weaknesses without their strengths. He feels... jumping a hypetrain that's derailing. A desperate 'we must make a new killer because how else will chapters sell'. a 'we need to get a lot of players in before the quarter's financial report, for the investors.
That's the thing.
"Oh, people post a lot of animated gifs about 'k-pop'? It's really popular? Quick! Get the note pad!"
-
Well first of all it's horror, so it has my attention at least.
On one hand, I would like to ditch DBD for an alternative.
On the other hand, I could be just getting myself in to another cycle of time wasting.
Weighing things up, I think I'll pass.
-
Truth? I have only seen the late 90s and 2014 ones...and I disliked both.

Starting at all was your first mistake.
Perfect.
This also applies when you start going for Adepts.
A complete waste of time.

If I were getting into the game I would've decided against the P3
Since I've P3d a lot of the killers I thought to myself "why not go all out since he looked pretty dope. Those are words I wish I coukd take back.
That attire is a mixture of Michael Jackson and Mr Cadburys Parrot.

I bought the Live Show (pink attire) and Seoul Sights bundle. Bloody Trickster Head, Seoul Sights body and Live Show weapon are my go to. Love the combo attire but oof does it hurt playing as Trickster.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/91M5J37PZWUQ/trickster.png
Everyone has their own tastes I suppose.
That aside, surely it would of been wiser to have played as the new killer before splashing out on their shiny new skins?
-
How many alt attires did you buy?
Also, was that with real money?
-
None.
I would rather do something else than watch videos of someone playing a video game after blurting "What's happening, guys?"
-
There is a certain satisfaction knowing that this particular killer has, in many ways, been a failure.
I wonder if the launch night party brigade are still washing their cosplay make-up off.
-
I used to despise the prospect of going for Killer Adepts.
I used to have a pure completionist attitude where I needed to have full 100% DBD trophies.
Now, I don't give a flying toss.
DBD is not particularly fun in general, and attempting many of the trophies and rift challenges actually feels like a form of punishment.
I recently got the platinum for Dying Light. Why? Because the trophies were realistic and the game itself is a fun experience.
These are traits not shared in DBD.
-
Oh I am with you 100%
I have got about 3 or 4 challenges left and am only at level 62.
The grind is absolutely ridiculous.
-
Rift challenges all over.

I agree, but notice how "having meaningful discussions about game balance" isn't part of that description lol
I think many, particularly those who had a breathing fit over the Trickster's reveal, would rather have a new 2000 cell winking emote over game balance.

I think you might be misunderstanding what social media is usually for lol
If social media is usually a means for making one come across as a morally-corrupt, materialism-driven narcissist: I think a high percentage are doing a great job.
-
Expect disappointment.
-
The only good thing about this 'chapter' is one of the perks.
Oh and the menu screen is nice. If that counts.
-
One thing that wasn't ignored was all the social media luvvies with their cosplays and fanart. That got retweeted and shared. And what about the winks? What about the wiiiiiiiiiinks?!
Yep. All the important stuff was covered.
-
Bad-
-
Playing as tier 1 mirror myers is my favourite DBD experience.
I can just imagine the survivor players jumping out of their skins.
Simple fun.
