  • Problem is, too often, when a survivor calls for nerfs etc,... its because they have 0 hours as killer.

And too often, when a killer calls for nerfs, it's becauise they have zero hours as survivor.

Personally, I dont really listen to anyone who marches on one side. I prefer people who have master knowledge of the game at both sides.

  • On the clowns map there that window is right next to the locker, damn that thing gets me sometimes. Run to close to it and try to vault, and bam you in the locker getting grabbed.

    LOL

  • Jesus looks Asian in Asian cultures

Jesus looks darker in African cultures

Such is the same for Mary, Lady of Guadalupe is the hispanic version of Mary.

Every culture depicts their dieties in their image

  • Jeff is the only survivor I actually wanted to get the crown on, for that reason. Jesus Jeff will be a meme forever I imagine

To the time where the rework of the Legion had happened, 1-2 bigger streamer (far as I know) were with crocodile tears complaining about the Legion. I guess for publicity reasons, because most of the things they have complain about were either not possible, or not possible in parts.

Also there was a very vocal part of the survivor base, that had cry for nerfs. I have talk a lot with them and they were not willing to learn, to that time.

They had purpose not watch any training video against Legion's abilities and not care to read 1 single tutorial in the forums. Instead they have mostly watch those streamers, that have either show exploiting Legion's, or Legion's with op addons equipped.

To this day! I have not seen one op video of the Legion from this time, that had not fall in one of the categories above.

Those guys had overvoice the Legionplayerbase and the survivors who have stay neutral.

The Legion pre rework was perfect, if the killer player has use no exploits and stayed away from the strong addons.

In my eyes, BHVR had just punish every Legion player for the deeds of a small part of the Killerplayerbase of that time.

Legionplayers were the only ones that got banned for exploiting on a scale like this and we were the only ones that got a nerf... sorry rework like this.

To this day it is a red flag for me and I know many players who see it on the same way.

TL:DR The Legion rework was not a rework. It was a insult right in the face of every honest playing player.

I was glued to the drama back then too, and the funny thing is, those big streamers were not banned for literally showing the Legion exploit for hours and hours everyday.

They banned no name people who dont stream, but the streamers who were showing how to walk backwards to kill with Legion, well they are still around. Your post is spot on.

Same thing with asylum map bug of old,... big streamers who showed tens of thousands of people who to do the exploit were untouched,... they literally created the "soft ban" 3 strikes ban so they didnt have to ban these people. yet Legion players,... banned for exploiting. I wasnt because I never did the exploit and was streaming all my games back then and never showed the exploit.

  • I want that Pink Elephant Clown man, I took 10 month break and they did it while I was away. Literally the first cosmetic I actually wanted to pay money for.

Pink Ele cosmetic in store when?

I played against a TTV a couple weeks ago and he was a pretty chill guy and now i play dbd with him alot assuming all TTV’s are literally sweats is wrong because they can be some of the chillest people in this game

Hackers found a way to artificially give DC bans. So the penalty is turned off for now.

So the cryhards are back to ruining the game for everyone again.

Has any dev even declared that to be the case?

True said it could be hackers but I have not seen a dev state that it was hackers doing it. True immediately says in the video "is this the new hack" and bam everywhere people saying it was hackers, how do we know it is if devs havent said it was?

  • Get those last matches in with the chainsaw bois, trust me, when they change something you love, it will be forever missed.

I love the fact you can hold Bubbas chainsaw around corners, trees, etc,... taking that away will forever be missed IMO the way we miss OG Freddy. Devs even promoted Buba chainsaw that way saying it was good to have it different, now they want it like Billy.

We can argue buffs vs nerfs, but changing his chainsaw in this way ruins it for me, I preferred Bubba to Billy chainsaw.

I get what you’re saying, but for me personally, if somebody DC’s or kills their self on the hook really early into the game, I’ll just farm for the rest. As I know how annoying it is as a survivor to have somebody trying to throw the match for the rest of the team and then also facing a killer who’s in full sweat mode.

Did this last night, like, I just burned my last cake bruh, we getting this cheddar one way or the other

  • "Oh no it's plague, I will just crouch and point under hook"

Sure, no prob Jake, you want on the hook, here ya go buddy

  • Majority of changes to Legion had nothing to do with the chasing survivors backwards cheese.

Devs added things that can only be considered punishment, as I refer to it.

    "Lets address chasing people backwards"

"ok, I got it, lets add a 4 second stun + a blind when they cancel frenzy and also make it take 20 seconds before they can use that power again, oh and if you miss your attack you are stunned, that should fix it"

It can only be described as overly punishing, hopefully one day we will have our day of revenge, and they change those things.

  • Taking a break, either side is good.

I just returned from a 10 month, 3 DLC break.

People were managing to give other people extended DC penalties on PC, particularly timing out streamers.

Personally I don't mind it being gone. Being able to DC out of an Ormond/Haddonfield offering you missed is fantastic. The people who DC on first down are as pathetic as they are common right now though. Why screw over your own team?

Wait, so you think its cool to DC on Haddonfield, but if you die on first hook its not cool to screw over the team?

    LOL I miss something there?

  • Arent the devs complete different teams on mobile though? Have seen mods basically say they dont even answer questions about mobile

  • Anyone notice they only complain when the latent vaults do not favor them, but the thousands of times a survivor gets a vault and shouldve been hit are countless.

"So, these killer "hits" way beyond the windows, after a vault, are getting way too ridiculous."

    Just something I notice

Cry some more why don't you. It's already been explained that this is ineffective and is bad for the survivors. I guarantee you no one would complain if there was a similar killer mechanic that BENEFITTED then on the survivor side

Speaking the truth is not crying. I have 1k hours in each side and know exactly why I pallet blind, becxause its fun, I have never done it "to escape a chase" thats for sure.

Its a fact, what I said is 100% true as others have agreed because they know I am correct.

Don't confuse me with those who play one side and cannot see behind the curtains

  • problemn with sloppy on Legion is, sloppy only works on basic attacks, and with Legion usually you are downing them with m1 after already injured by feral frenzy, so it lacks the synergy there. Which is why people run thana instead on Legion.

  • it is an outdated mechanic to have certain killers more blind prone tbh.

Survivors may cling and latch on to it, but anyone with a game balance mind can see its simply a nerf on one of the weakest killers.

Remove wraith burn when? Simply QOL at this point.

  • @RayrafLPP said:

He seems really freaking strong without the bottle slowdown.

Besides Oni with his power I dont think theres a stronger 1v1 killer in the game.

Deathslinger and huntress suffer from 110% at loops.

    Spirit has to guess

    Billy is loopable

Hag and trapper are setup dependant

Freddy has snares which are smaller bottles

Myers GF legion wraith are M1 killers at loops

    Bubba isnt strong at loops

Plague needs to have her power to be strong at loops

Demo is nice but not that good at loops

PH may be equally strong but not that easy to accomplish at loops

    Pig has to guess

Doc takes some laps until the loop gets shut down

Okay Nurse may be stronger but shes special^^

So all in all clowns bottles are at least Top 3 to shut down loops and end chases fast am i right?

    Faster reload + extra bottles

some slowdown perks and brutal strengt.... POOF clown is good now?

What is going on? I like clown now, before the buff he was so dumb to play, never would have thought a small buff could have this kind of an impact on him

Truth is, those off us who played clown before the bottle toss speed up, already knew he was good. TBH he doesnt feel any stronger than before, just a slight speed increase where there was a slowdown prior. Its not gonna win you a game you would not have won previously imo

And tbh, this little buff does not make or break him, using this one little number boost to act like all of a sudden clown is a beast is a bit of a reach IMO, and I play clown daily. He has been one of my mains for awhile.

They have a relatively small amount of people and they get A LOT of reports that need checking, especially if evidence is provided, the IDs of reports as far as I can tell are sequential, here I have two reports, 5 months apart, and a whopping 67,259 reports between those 5 months.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LZP4KIIF3H4W/firefox-17-07-1595022258.png

translation: there is simply no way they go through all reports.

no way. Not without an Ai - I realized this after sending in 20 minute vids as proof because they need entire match, and copy pasting error code? No way human eyes go through all that.

  • Because it is fun for them. You are locked in an animation and cannot counter it so that means fun for them.

However, oh goodness if killer can do something they cannot counter oh my the game needs to be changed.

  • Unfortunately, this game isn't like the other "30 hour" games, and even at 300 hours there is still so much to learn.

I am at 1700 hours and learn new things in this game all the time, its a never ending mountain of counters and outplays, each new map, perk, killer adds changes and methods of counters.

As some have mentioned, playing both sides helps tremendously, however, that is also why it takes so long to master this game.

To truly master it, you must master both sides imo.

  • I have never liked hex perks.

The idea that survivors can literally take away that power in 20 seconds, is lame imo and I dont use builds that rely on that type of gamble.

Devour Hope for example, takes 3 downs and 3 hooks to reach tier 3, then in 20 seconds it is gone, might as well play Leatherface and be able to down them at anytime.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

Killers get a one hit down at hooks. All of them. If they didn't have that, I wonder if they'd play the hook stand off game anymore.

You can blame your fellow survivors for why this would never be implimented.

Because all internal tests by devs reveal that survivors will hook rush to punish the killer no matter the type of mechanic they try.

In this instance, survivors would simply give all killers the old OG Freddy treatment and unhook right in front of him at an exit gate and nothing you could do to stop it.

  • I used to put TTV in my name just to learn how to run a killer better.

As a killer, I dont avoid them, ttv does not mean anything.

  • Can you imagine these types of gamers attempting games like Cuphead or Darkest Dungeon?

They would be in the forumsa asking for nerfs....

"Boss on Third Isle is too hardz"

  • Not seeing profiles or names would not stop this situation.

Your offerings still show when they are consumed which is at begin of trial.

Yeah I mean it's solid. Rank 1 meta? Maybe, but if it is it's just talked about less. Although I'm in the opinion you can run whatever you like and do just as well. I certainly do.

definiteely, perkless is how you show how good you are <3

  • @cheetocultleader said:

I mean for new players, it is meta. After my husband and I discovered it we ran it for ages, and he still does a lot. So even after you've put some time into the game, it's solid.

There are players with over 7,000 hours in the game that run Spine Chill though.

  • yes, not only does it give you info, it provides boost to speed up game.

It is not meta in the way Unbreakable,DS perks are, but yes many run it even in high ranks, its like a meta perk for the ones who arent following the killer around, teabagging etc,...

  • @AGM said:

For me, it's Alert. With how meta Pop is, and seeing as every map has several pallets, you get so much awareness of not only where the killer is but which parts of the map still have resources.

Ive been saying Alert is underrated for like 2 years and have always compared it to BBQ as proof.

BBQ max procs 12 times. But really the 12th proc is useless as the game is over at that point when you hook the 4th survivor 3rd time.

But Alert, it procs no less than 15+ times per match giving you way more aura time than BBQ ever could. And with no requirement to proc, simply sit and watch killer reveal themselves.

If you just walk all the time, then it means you don't know how to manage your exhaustion. But thanks for ur comment.

edit: oops replied to wrong person

  • Ive ran Balanced Landing untyil recently, started trying dead hard and having more fun with it.

However, Sprinto Bursto, boring. I like to run all the time, its partly why Trappers always get me, despite being killer main, I run like an idiot. Walking around all match to not exaust myself ruins my fun

  • nah, all killers have gone through it.

They learned a valuable lesson, one of revenge, one of fury, wrath, and determination.

In time, they will grow to hunt you, the puppy always becomes a wolf in the end.

  • I will be honest here. I feel I am a killer main at heart, but often when I sit do0wn to play, I just go,... "eh Im gonna play survivor and bit and chill"

I love the killer side, am finishing up p3ing my killers, only the ones I dont play remain un-p3ed, but often I just want to chill and run around as Adam, still get 23k and no stress.

Lately, out of ten matches 2 are killer and 8 surv.

Spend some of your bloodpoints in reading comprehension, you seem to just want to be argumentative, I simply made a comment, and you came at me with all this nonsense I didnt even say, now trying to say you playing Devils Advocate. Nah you just want to argue about things no one even said.

And the purpose of moris also arent mean to annoy anyone.

Exactly, if you notice, if a killer plays a mori for daily ritual = toxic

But being pallet blinded 12 times in a match for a tome challenge = totally fine, no toxicity there at all

    LOL

  • @Elena said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449966#Comment_1449966

Okay, maybe I misread what you said, but the way you worded it made it sound like the only purpose of challenges are to cause annoyance for other players, so of course you can't blame me for playing devil's advocate.

Devils advocate is arguing a point for the sake of arguing a point, but I am not here to argue about things I didnt say.

  • @Elena said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449956#Comment_1449956

You said in your last statement 'Both sides get rituals and tome challenges that annoy the other side' implying the only purpose of challenges are to cause exasperation. Of course there will be players who get angry at this game, but the design of tome challenges isn't for that reason.

No, I did not say the purpose is to annoy, I simply said it does annoy..

You are twisting my words into your own "implying" version.

The point of my post was what is fun for one side, is usually not fun for the other. You just choose to not grasp my point and are accusing me of saying something which I clearly did not.

Here's a more simple one you can understand, I find it fun to disarm trapper traps, is it fun for them? No.

  • @Elena said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449939#Comment_1449939

The purpose of challenges aren't meant to annoy the other side which you're strongly implying, this is a game that we're meant to enjoy, not to go out of our way and annoy other people for playing it, that's toxic.

You ignored my point, whats fun for one isnt fun for the other.

Survivors love pallet blinding, is it fun for killers? No.

Doing a daily mori ritual is not toxic, thats just survivors stating it is, but not true.

  • Have ran DH on a killer for the last few nights trying to get it to tier 5 as tests,... it never gets there LOL

People who complain about these perks have never ran them as killer, they die to them in a match one night then go on a forum spree creating threads about the perk.

    L2p

  • COmplaining about moris is so lame.

Survivor tome challenge: blind the killer 12 times = fun for survivor not fun for killer, does not require offering

Killer daily ritual: mori one survivor = fun for the killer not fun for survivor. requires offering

Literally crying about a daily ritual that killers are asked to do pretty much daily, shows you never play both sides.

Both sides get rituals and tome challenges that annoy the otrher side, deal with it.

    The classic "don't tunnel"

okay, so, If I hook someone, start going away but someone saves them and the first one I saw was the unhooked, what am I suposed to do then? let them do gens on my face until DS runs out? Slugging is the best option, but it just slows the game down, it doesn't get you closer to winning. DS isn't anti tunnel, it's anti momentum, the devs said it isn't anti tunnel (but it works like one indirectly), and if one person is running it, you got to assume everyone has it. Tell me one other perk that makes you change the way you play around everyone (not just the guy who brought it).

The "dont tunnel" argument is lame.

I have ignored the person coming off the hook, chased down the Jake who unhooked, down them, hook them, then find the other guy 30 seconds later, across map, behind a tree healing, but yeah I need to stop tunneling.

So tired of hearing that, I dont even tunnel and still get DSed because survivors play bad and make mistakes, but yet Im the bad guy.

  • "Nurse,... extremely fun."

Sure thing boss, slugging nurse is absolutely the most unfun thing in the game.

    Baby nurses maybe,.

  • "I personally play survivor more and I've noticed that majority of the killers played legit have no counter-play"

You play survivor? Really? Couldn't tell.

Anything you play constantly for 10 hours will give you headache...

Not really in my case, maybe for some, but I can do a 10 hour session on many games, and have without any issues, the dreamworld definitely causes eye strain for me personally. Ive done 15+ hours in DbD with no issue, but not playing Freddy

edit added: I make sure to say its me personally and in my case, having little particles falling constantly seems to cause me eye strain, whereas on regular maps with normal killer view I do not have that. Again, speaking for me personally.

  • I don't even think people know what OP even means anymore.

  • @WTBacon said:

Personally, I don't think any thought should be put into this mode at all.
