General Disarray

As I have said for awhile now.
in 2020 auras could easily be color chosen and brightness intensity be options.
This would address color blind issues and allow players to customize auras as needed,... but you know. .... GREEK COSMETICS BRUH

No I don't mean a discussion about meerkats, but I see a lot of hate on here about Ebony mori and rightly so, but is there some leniency deserved for those that take them?
1. Do players take them in just incase they get toxic swf squads, thus have the mori on hand as back up or mirror toxicity?
2. Do players fear being matched with much better ranked players? Thus again, saving it incase they need it.
I played as survivor last night ranked 15, yet a rank 16 killer used Spirit with pink and purple addons plus an ebony mori, the survivors we're all ranked 12-18, such a waste of good resources. Did they fear a team of rank 2's or swf? Or are they just a potato for lobbing op addons on an already strong killer?
Have you never played killer? It's almost obvious.
Moris are a daily ritual killers get. The reason you see moris is because literally the game gives killers 60k to do them.
Let's see,... 60k BP or your feels, you know who gonna win?

It is 2020, aura colors and intensity brightness should be menu option.
For real.

Auras have always been faint for me on Ormond

How do you see the killer before you queue into the game? I'm confused is this something new or?

haven't logged on yet since update, but I imagine you can click leave lobby, which I predict will definitely occur and wait times will indeed increase for all players, especially survivors who are in a 4 man swf with flashlights, because they will only get dodged more and more increasing wait times for all.
just click leave lobby, devs will see the data in a month or so that shows killers leaving lobby after lobby due to this change
-
it is 2020 aura colors should be able to be chosen, intensity as well. Simply allowing color choosing of auras would aid with color blind players too.
-
this is exactly why I preferred Bubba chainsaw over Billy to begin with. I appreciated that they differed and enjoyed Bubba more. I havent played new Bubba yet, but I liked being able to hold the chainsaw around corners, trees, etc,... I like simple things not micromanaging 5 things just to make a hit.
-
one more bloodhunt and I think I can get all my killers p3ed.
-
ormond auras have been invisible for me for months, sometimes so faint you really cannot see them, but it's been that way for me

Well, you can't exactly slide over a door... 😛
I was just thinking of it being a nice thematic addition, if not exactly useful or better than anything else, just something neat!
good point, they have introduced destructable doors so maybe in the future.
-
@Hippie said:
I'd like to see something like closeable doors, which Survivors can slam in a Killer's face but the Killer can break the door down and it can't be used again.
thats literally what a pallet is though?
-
F old friend. When I got tired of being bullied when I first started playing the game as Wraith, you brought me confidence and taught me to push on and devour their hope.

Bloodpoints. Duh.
I literally run BBQ on killers that do not benefit from the auras and have no way of getting there quickly, like Hag. Because as you say, bloodpoints.
25k becomes 50k, I have used BBQ to get majority of my killers to p3 and am glad its there because I have 1800 hours and still not everything p3ed.

You don't have to hve Windows of Opportunity in order to be a good runner lol.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1481790#Comment_1481790
100% agree. More stuff to interact with makes the matches more thrilling and exciting.
"You don't have to hve Windows of Opportunity in order to be a good runner lol."
I did not say that. But if you see a good runner with it, youll know the difference. Most runners do not utilize everything they could, asking for more shows theyve never encountered what I am referring to.
-
If BBQ is OP, we will have to nuke Alert
Alert procs like 25+ times permatch and gives 5 seconds of aura per proc. Compare to BBQ, max procs 12 times with 4 seconds of aura per proc , with the 12th proc being useless as game is over.
lolz

Absolutely not. Watch a good runner with Windows of Opp and you will witness greatness.

It's really nice to see people act nice in this game to be honest. If no one else says it, thanks guys. You're making the game a better place to play one game at a time.
The first week I played the game, a Myers gave me hatch, and it changed my view of the game. SO I always try to give a little love back.
I know everyone wants to win, but I honestly feel better from being nice than a win. You get genuine "thanks bro" comments vs "in ya face baby killer"
lol

i've rarely experienced anyone wanting to help me as killer to get a challenge done even though IF I KNOW what the challenge is i'll try and help a survivor. I come up on a gen and people scatter i start smacking the gen, i down the survivor TAKE them past several hooks and smack a gen while they wiggle off they don't want to... so my experience is my charity as a killer is unwanted. I shouldn't even try ah well. how ever i've found more killers willing to help survivors get their challenges done when they know what it is! interesting dichotomy eh?
I have had survs know whats up.
I needed the locker grab one done, and basically downed a Jeff, stood near him hitting the locker. Picked him up, swiveled until he struggled off, hitting locker, he got in locker, I grabbed him and dropped him and let him get picked up as a thank you.
It happens.
-
Depends on killer. For example, last night as Pig - Kate was the last one,... found her near courtyard entrance on Midwich. We looked at each other, I crouched.
In my head "if she boops she lives, if she runs she dies"
She crouched, we inched towards each other as I growled,... she booped.
I let her find hatch.
-
When you see me in Pink BUnny legion, you know Im looking for fun baby.
Gonna do the same when I get Pink Elephant Clown suit too.

Killer here. I'm farming. You're all helping. Meet in the middle of the map. After I've hung each of you twice you can leave. If a gen pops before you've all been hung twice I will kill all of you.

3.4k hours. I used to be the same way. Caring to much about winning and now I just play to have fun Matches. If I win, nice. If I lose, I go to the next Match. Sometimes I am in the Mood to be more competetive, but most of the Time I don't really care. I care for BP and fun Matches.
No need to stress myself out for no Reason.
I have pretty much stated the same as you did above for 2+ years.
I took a 10 month, 3 DLC break from DbD. The only reason I came back to the game was becuase the added a legion pink bunny and I thought, cool I can run around slashing everyone not care about winning and stack my BP. However, all my killers are almost p3ed and BP will be meaningless shortlly so fun is all that matters anymore. In fact, the reason I play Legion these days is because I dont care about winning, LOL I play Hag when I want to "PVP"
-
This gonna be a good thread, I can already tell.
-
As I have stated previously:
"There is no killer or survivor side.
The game is one.
The division is in you."

Yeah, and I mean with surveillance it's not bad, I just don't like running two perks that basically work one at a time, or one not at all.
Just feels wrong imo.
I agree and dont run it, but have seen people say thats why you would run those two. I stick to surge and pop mostly.

....ruin AND pop?? That basically relies on them removing ruin...
ruin is for the early slowdown, once they find it, pop comes in during last gens and can help slow down gens once they find ruin.

@MrDardon said:
I just don't give a damn about losing or winning.
The only Things triggering me is when I make Mistakes or if the Game Bugs mess my Gameplay up, otherwise I don't really care. And I win most of my Matches anyways, so yeah.
You should do the same. Don't focus to much on winning otherwise it'll stress you out for nothing and that doesn't need to happen.
This was my approach. Not sure how many hours you have, but after about 1500 of "not caring", apathy sets in, then you just wanna play some matches, have a little fun, and log off
-
Honestly, I am almost to where I have all my killers p3ed, and I find myself playing survivor more and more.
It began when I hit 1000 hours, as killer, I told myself get 1000 hours as survivor. Now I am approaching 2000 hours and find survivor much more fun and can relax and stream it and have no stress regarding defeats. I get friend requests and meet new people who want to SWF with me etc,... as killer, ytou dont get that
Survivor, I can die and still pip and feel I did good running the killer.
But I always go back to killer though. Ill play a killer match, then back to surv for a few games.
-
Hate to say it but as someone who played Ultima Online in the 90s and saw them try to "update the game engine" and then begin offering two game clients to players, you can run the old graphics or new graphics after 20 years of game play, things like this alter the game in a way that although its nice to look at, it definitely changes the flavor of the game.
Ultima Online is a prime example.
Looks nice, but many will always prefer the old graphics instead of the new world of warcraft looking angles.
-
edited I cchanged my mind LOL
-
Probably will be something like first two minutes of match, totem auras can be seen by all survivors, killer is slowed by 25%, gates can be 99ed at start of match etc,.. ,... you know to combat the corrupt intervention meta that now exists.
-
I can only imagine how triggered some would be if they saw the pigmain techs, jumping from coal tower to the walls, walking on top walls on swamp etc,....
LOL

Yeah, I too got rejected report by the server when I used to do the manual labor that is the current report system, part of the very reason why I no longer can take it. The biggest slap to the face is when you have done all the work and then suddenly the form does not get sent and you have to fill it up all over again.
Precisely
-
Sadly this is the case.
When I used to report people, I realized it can literally take 30+ minutes of your time to get the required video evidence, dig up steamid64, go through the process, edit/chop/upload video that then gets rejected by the server, etc,... it takes time to report people.

Clown love to my brothers and sisters of the fog.
-
I stopped caring about all that long ago. AT about 500 hours in, I told myself to not get frustrated that it would take minimum for 1000 hours to really have a grasp on everything in the game and to consider it all just some shaolin type training that takes years of focus and to focus on a single chase at a time and to first go for 4 BBQ stacks and not worry about kills.
As time has gone on now aiming for 2k hours, I still dont worry about winning or losing and I just play for stacks and points, if I 4k, awesome, if all get away, I at least got 50k points,...
there is no such thing as winning or losing if you play for fun and points, its a mindset.

Camping is basically just a dick move. Cause devs arent able to prevent camping in particular situations, a penalty, even if it doesnt contribute in any way to the gameplay, is the least they could implement. Learn to paly the game properly if you think camping is allright.
Couple nights ago, I hooked a Dwight on one side of shack, and a Nea on the other side of Shack, while Laurie was healing in the shack, saw her with nurses,....
If you think I am leaving, to go find the 4th person, you can call me what you want, I aint leaving.

am i not doing my objective to ensure a survivor dies?
you are expected to ignore the fact you just saw Nea and Claudette 2 meters from hook behind a rock and you should go across map and hide in the corner instead and let them unhook.
If you do not, you will be punished for playing the game wrong.
-
I like challenges...
"Instead of nerfying the killers, why don't you give a second target you survived?"
Because if we did, the second one would not know where the gens are.
"It takes 4 minutes to make 4 generators."
Ah, but it only takes 1 second to surge em.
"In 4 minutes a killer as a demogorgon clown legion, doctor what can he do?"
In 4 minutes demo could lunge from the chapel map building, clown could throw over 100 bottles, legion could not down someone and doctor could get everyone to madness tier 6
"Why don't you change the key?"
Because it would no longer work on the lock.
"Why don't you fix bugs for survivors?"
There are no bugs
-
It's sort of like the death penalty, does it stop crime? Not at all.
Same can be said about near-the-hook punishments for killer. The people who camp hooks do not care about emblems, therefore no penalty matters to them at all.
Its there to make people feel good and justify finger wagging like "you are bad killer if you camp" but it does nothing to stop camping.
