I agree, but he is never going back to what he was. At least they could balance him better now...
Sadly I doubt they give anything meaningful back to him, he'll remain trash and survivor mains will be happy

No one knows, but we, Billy mains, Twins mains, and Nurse mains are sitting next to each other in the hole that bhvr threw us into.
Nurse is still the best killer in the game, just goes to show you how broken she was before she was nerfed.
She is a good example of when a killer is ACTUALLY overpowered.
-
Anyone that thinks Billy takes no skill has never played Billy, he's pretty hard to curve against good players
-
You can't tell people how they can have fun
People's idea of fun are different, some people are very competitive and others such as yourself are not.
People who want the game to be balanced and fair aren't going to have fun in the current state of DBD
I personally come from a lot of competitive games, main one being League of Legends so it personally frustrates me how little this game is balanced...So many useless perks and weak killers staying weak forever while nurse stays top tier forever with maps staying broken.... So many things that could be fixed that just never will.
Just think of all the small tweaks they could do to just perks to fix them that wouldn't take much effort.

Right? It has the save room songs in multiple rooms and is so iconic. It's so fun to explore casually but is a nightmare (pun) to compete on. Too big, too confusing, not enough defenses for Survivor, etc
Wat
Survivors have the god loop in the office and multiple god pallets on this map
The map has a lot to work with for survivors
-
That's the issue, he should of never been nerfed.
If they didn't like his current playstyle they should of rebalanced him, not nerfed him into the ground.
His kill rates weren't high and his ranking in most tier lists were mid tier, there was no reason to trash him.
-
Billy is pretty bad at the moment unless you are a Billy God but even then he's not worth learning because the payoff isn't a lot.
I think he's better than what people give him credit for but for how hard he is he should be better...He's very average and can be turned into a M1 killer very easily when played against correctly.
-
I will also say she is map dependent, she is really good on certain maps and like...whatever on others.
Indoor or tight maps she can be gross. Playing on midwich where her traps take up the whole hallway and the maps small so you can pretty much always teleport
Meanwhile on big open maps she is just whatever..Not bad, not great just good.
-
She is very overrated by the community, just very annoying to save your friend when they do get caught and trapped up.
She isn't bad but she is not a top 4 killer, at least not in my opinion.
-
It's funny how just a few small changes could make some maps less awful but they remain terrible for whatever reason while we wait for some massive change that seemingly never comes.

I do know the crouching gimmick with his whip yes and I can understand the infections could use something maybe but, unless making it another plague kind of power than I don't know what else you could other than 2 hit idea you had.
Even if it was something as small but interesting as getting a 3rd zombie if you get all 4 infected that would be something.
I dunno, I'll take anything other than a mild cough lol

Excited to try it out, yes

Best thing to do with Nemesis is to just infected as many people as possible at the start so you can tier it up quickly infected one guy than go find another Lethal helps a lot for that than once tier 2 it's nice for breaking doors and pallets and extended range for the attack
Yes, but as Pyramid Head you don't have to do that, you are just instantly have that strength except better since yours go through walls and I don't know if you know this but you can crouch at windows and not be hit by the tentacle.
Again I'm not saying he's bad but look at all the steps you have to take just to be relevant. He shouldn't be so weak early and then mediocre later after tiering up...makes no sense. What is he working for? It's not like his power is super strong, it's good but not insane.
I just want infection to mean something.
-
They need to buff tier 3 Myers tbh and make it so he has built in Brutal Strength and Enduring so he can eat pallets when in tier 3.
Or only give Myers 2 tiers, combining tier 1 and 2 so he's either extremely stealthy and a normal speed M1 killer or he's tier 3 one shot Myers.
-
I like RPD, I honestly don't want any map removed just reworked to be smaller.
I feel for Blight/Billy mains who play RPD though, that is absolute Hell at least from my low tier Blight experience.
I mostly main Nemesis, Pyramid Head, Doctor, Wraith and Myers so RPD at least to me isn't bad for my killers.
Nemesis zombies are very good on RPD, Wraith has a lot of movement and I usually run pallet breaker Wraith so I usually do well and Myers is big stealth boy on this map and I usually do okay... Doctor I'm a weird and go stealth doctor a lot with monitor and abuse with double calm addons so yeah I normally like this map as him.
That being said fix the stupid Office loop, that shits so broken if you don't have bambozzle... Every time I am survivor on that map I personally abuse office and can run the killer forever as long as I am not playing like a potato
-
@pizzaduffyhp90 said:
I've been playing Nemesis a lot recently and I can say that he really doesn't need a buff the guy is fine as he is it's mainly the zombies that are pretty problematic cause sometimes they just stand and look at a wall and do nothing.
I play Nemesis a lot since they murdered my main Deathslinger, he's pretty much my main, he's definitely better than Deathslinger and I'm having a lot of fun with him.
That being said, I wouldn't say he doesn't need a buff. Again a good comparison to him is Pyramid Head who is pretty much just a much better version of him (someone else I play a lot).
It also just seems so strange to me that being infected by the T Virus does literally nothing but make you cough, don't you feel like it should do literally anything if you don't vaccinate? Just give you X seconds to vaccinate or you take damage would make a big difference
I find it funny how so many people use Save the Best for Last on him saying you basically play him like an M1 killer because his M2 is honestly just so weak till you tier it up and get them infected first, meanwhile the infection doesn't do anything so it feels extremely bad hitting them and infecting them giving them a speed bonus for literally nothing on your end.
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
I think nemesis is underrated. High B tier when his zombies are working properly. People seem to think you should be able to hit with the tentacle no matter what, but really it's used to get hits you otherwise would not. There's a valuation there between m1 and tentacle that folks are unwilling to engage with.
In no way am I saying he's bad, just that he could be so much better without making him broken.
In his current state he is very much a crappy pyramid head though and could use some love.
The main thing is to make infection actually mean something so people want to vaccinate because who cares about a cough? Why does the T Virus only make you cough???

I think it's kind of odd for some killers to just have a flashlight counter slapped on them. It's really odd, especially because in my nurse games I have never been lightburned, don't even know why she can be.
I find it especially odd to have it on very weak killers like Wraith
Like why is this randomly on him when he's already bad? I think the mechanic is interesting but he shouldn't be so damn weak with such a strong counter to him. Playing wraith against flashbangs can be torture lol
-
@dugman said:
If they improved zombie tracking and speed I’d be more interested in playing him. The whip is kind of meh other than maybe for breaking pallets, and honestly if I were looking for a pallet breaking killer Bubba and even Wraith are more fun to play.
I like the whip but I agree it's very lack luster simply because being infected does literally nothing. It's literally just for hits you wouldn't get with an M1 and for breaking pallets.
I find it funny how long it takes to get tier 3 on Nemesis, yet it's really not a huge difference either. The only real upgrade you care about is tier 2 so you can start breaking pallets faster.
He's a killer that goes from very weak (tier 1) to decent/mediocre at tier 2-3. For someone that has to work to get his power the payoff isn't very much especially with the 3 hit infection.
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
The downsides from the T-Virus are way too small. In lore, the T-Virus affects the brain and motor functions, turning them into mindless zombies. Getting infected should make doing objectives harder and slower
Exactly, why does being infected do literally nothing?? He has to hit you 3 times for basically no reason other than to make you cough lol
-
If I'm playing Bubba or Pallet breaking Wraith I'm cool with it, but yeah the map ######### sucks.
-
Thing I always thought was really random even if I like the idea is the Wraith being stunned when you flashlight him in invis... Like he's not nearly strong enough to randomly give this debuff to him lol
-
@MikeyBoi said:
I personally think nemesis is very unfun to go against and boring. His T2/T3 whip lingers a hitbox that’s grossly unnecessary. His zombies zone good survivors that know how to loop in only to a demise of unhealthy unsatisfying gameplay. Another boring killer where if you vault as a survivor you die and if you don’t vault you still die..
Please don’t buff this killer..
You just fake the window, don't mindlessly vault and drop pallets.

@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
Someone suggested that what if you have new extra ability that when you activate, you scream on the map (like Hillbilly or something) and your zombies would start going to you faster than usual speed (like to create pressure in chase or patrol this area). It would have cooldown of course.
But if you want to just simply buff him I suggest: remove or reduce in half the speed Survivors get after being infected and make AI of zombies (their path finding at least) much better.
The one saving grace to zombies is if you have the movement speed addons you can use perks like discordance, Tinkerer and Scourage Resonance to tell them where to go at a decent speed. I do however agree their AI needs looked at because I'm pretty sure the Devs purposely dumbed them down since their PTB release... I feel they use to be better.
But yeah that's also a direction to go for a buff to Nemesis, just lowering the movement speed you get for infection or removing it... You already get slowed when using tentacle anyway so they still will get a tiny bit of distance.
Still think it would be neat to give infection a purpose other than making people cough and adding a condition where if you get all 4 survivors infected you get a 3rd zombie sounds fun.
-
@KayTwoAyy said:
I'd prefer they completely overhaul his zombies, rather than buff his basekit ability.
This may be a hot take, but at the moment he is one of the strongest camping killers in the game.
Slap Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/NOED & Zombie Speed Add-ons on him, and you can 4k a third of your games by face camping & tunneling. While the 1st survivor you down is dying on first hook, the rest of the survivors are wasting time looking for hex totems or trying to kite zombies away from their gen so they can get it done.
By the time the first survivor dies, 2 gens will be complete at most and its easy to win the 3v1--especially if you've reached Tier 2.
The only way you don't 4k is if multiple survivors bring flashlights, survivors spawn on both hex totems, or you throw the game in the first chase.
I can't think of many games where my ruin isn't killed in the first minute of less tbh. I am not a fan of running ruin/undying anymore, I've had too many games where I lose both so quickly that I pretty much play with 2 perks.
As for Nemesis being the best face camper I can't agree as he has no insta down. If you have borrowed time and DS it's pretty easy to get that person off a hook.
I do love zombie speed addons with discordance though, keeps gens from being pumped out sometimes.
-
Yes it's a very good perk and I'm very much happy with it.
It's an information perk.
It's a regression perk
And it actually pairs well with pop if they happen to hop back on the gen.
-
Doctor with Monitor and Abuse with double Calm addons... I don't know why but I enjoy being a sneaky/stealth doctor....When you do get in chase all of a suddent your terror radius is huge and confuses people.
Nemesis with double zombie speed addons with discordance, the amount of pressure I get from these dudes some games is just *chef kiss*, Just had a game where a 4 man tried to bully me and got owned by fast zombies while they were trying to flashlight/pickup their down friend.
Stealth Nemesis...addon that gives undetectable after killing a zombie and the addon that gives more mutatuon rate for killing your own zombies... You get fast tier 2 and you can catch a lot of people off guard despite your foot steps sounding like an elephant.
Spirit with devour hope, rancor, haunted grounds and no way out.... I just really like her mori and well, someones going to get mori'd if I can help it.
Generic but I enjoy shack/basement trapper. You are coming down here and you aren't coming out. Save the best for last, Agitation, Corrupt and pop.
Pallet destroyer Wraith... Using the fast breaking addon with the addon that takes you out of stealth when kicking a pallet with Brutal Strength throws a lot of people off that think they are safe predropping pallets.
-
There is a known cheat right now that actually makes you perfectly deadhard every single time you are about to be hit.
But other than that, I'm not sure dead hard deserves to even have i frames considering how strong it is just as a way to get to a window/pallet

Precisely, there is so many perks that could be tweaked to be more appealing. Most of them wouldn't even require testing.
Imagine if Jolt as 64 meters 10% on ANY attack and had no cooldown. As if anyone would find that OP?
There are so many terrible perks that could be buffed and still wouldn't change the meta but would at least encourage more variety.
Even if they overperformed, they could tweak them back a bit the very next patch, but they are lazy and don't do actual balance patches.
-
MMR is ######### and should be removed because the system doesn't work, that being said it's not the problem like others have stated here with que times...
My killer ques are always instant, my survivor ques usually take a few minutes and this is me playing solo. Survivor just feels better to play 90% of the time unless you are playing at lower MMR.
-
@lauraa said:
I still like Jolt.
I also happen to really like Tinkerer so I'm not too bothered by its range restriction. I would love to see its Cooldown lowered, if not removed entirely. I would prefer to keep its M1 restriction, though.
Again, I like the idea of Jolt I just wish it were worth using over other perks.
I'm not asking for big game changing super OP buffs, just a range increase and making the regression go from 8% to 10%
I agree though, in the current state of Jolt why on earth does it even have a cooldown?
I just wish the devs were more willing to do buffs and nerfs more consistantly with underperforming perks instead of just letting them sit around and rot. Jolt is a good example of a perk that could easily be fixed up and given love if the Devs cared.
-
The only thing fun about legion is sliding on pallets, that's it. He's terrible.
The one addon where you break pallets you side on is the only time I ever play Legion because that addon at least makes him a pallet muderer
-
@jesterkind said:
Well, while I fully agree that Jolt should be updated to work on special attack downs, there is something you're missing, which is that Jolt is far more consistent than either of those. Pop has to be used on a strict time limit and you have to physically be present at the generator you want it used on, and Pain Resonance requires you to be in range of one of four random hooks in the trial- whereas Jolt will always work provided that there's a generator in range.
If it were buffed to work on special attack downs too, it'd actually be a really solid perk, not a weak one.
I think it's still going to need a buff even after that
It doesn't have to be a massive buff but taking the regression from 8 to 10 while making the range slightly bigger would make this perk actually worth using.
-
The killer is in a God awful spot so I hope they make him better.
He's so slow when using his power, the self exhaution is 4 freaking seconds and healing boons just adds to the problem of him sucking.
Ghostface and Legion are both joke killers that if you use them you are basically saying bully me

exactly someone who didn't understand what he was saying and is just twisting it in something negative.
He did not say "if you hate the game so much play something else"
What he said was that if you're frustrated, playing something else for like a week can help.
Which is 100% true. That's not even fanboying. It really should be common sense.
If you are warming your hands on a fire and you get too close to the point of burning yourself you'll also pull your hand away for a bit instead of pushing it deeper in the fire.
The quotes I was using were from people in this thread, not the person in the clip.
Look at what some of the people have wrote in this very thread defending this jackass statement by Matt.
-
The IDEA of Jolt I love, sadly it's EXTREMELY lack luster.
The main things I want see buffed with Jolt is:
- The range is TINY. The whole point of the perk is it can hit more than 1 gen, yet the range sucks so bad it doesn't even hit 1 gen sometimes
- The regression is too small..8%..... Make it 10. Even if you somehow manage to hit more than 1 gen that's still only 16% which will almost never happen.
- Maybe make it for any kind of down, not just M1.
It's just a really bad perk.... I want it to be good, but it's really not worth running at all. Scourge Hook Pain Resonance makes this perk look like a complete joke because well, it is.
-
Does 4 seconds really matter when they still heal ridiculously fast?
I'd say sloppy is a dead perk now, personally.
-
The new player experience is pretty bad, but also the casual player experience grind.
They want the horrid grind to keep people like me that have thousands of hours engaged working towards something but the new players are basically screwed

The game director.
This is old news and it's only being brought up as a joke, but his statement was trash and shouldn't be defended.

I personally liked the old system, I didn't care what people thought I enjoyed the ranks and working your way up to rank 1 pipping and depipping.
It felt nice being able to pip just by playing well to the point you didn't actually have to live, you just had to do enough gens, heals, saves and chase time. It felt good and I don't know why people wanted it changed to begin with. If anything they should of just took the old system and fixed it up.
It was just nice having something to work towards compared to this garbage.

Basic attacks is a stupid requirement no matter which way you look at it. There's no point in trying to use it to limit it to weaker killers when two of the strongest killers in the game, Nurse and Spirit, have all of their downs considered basic attacks. It only really serves to rule out specific random killers, or punish weaker ones like Pig for using their power to get a down.
True, though I don't think Spirit is a top 3 killer anymore but that's debatable.
Nurse is unquestionably number one and is M1, sadly she causes so many balance issues being as strong as she is that everything has be balanced around her...Perks

Is it really now? Hmm never seen it in Georgia maybe it's more of a northern thing Ig I outplayed
Ayy real talk tho I actually like surge on deathslinger cause he's the one killer who's power still procs it
I like the idea of the perk, I like that I don't have to kick a gen and can just keep going but in it's current state it's just not very good and deserves love. Again mainly want a range buff so it can hit more than 1 gen more often and maybe 10% gen regression
It's literally just something to pick if you don't have something better.
Best killer build hands down is Deadlock, Corrupt and No Way Out with your 4th perk being whatever helps you the most. Honestly most other killer builds don't cut it in comparison, even ruin/undying looking like poop next to the current meta build.
I just also want weaker perks to get love, that goes for both sides. Sick of games just perma letting characters/perks be trash tier and never revisting them.

Ik he probably won't but one can be optimistic and hopeful
I wish you luck good sir, I use to main him and am a huge fan of his aesthetic so i understand. I just couldn't do it anymore, feels too bad.
Use to be my go to favorite killer I could never get sick of playing, sadly I have no main anymore that I love above others.
