  • Right..

When you hook someone you don't get rewarded for it at all because someone else can help and pick them off the hook and they run away like they didnt even get hooked, Its stupid...

People who abuse jumping over windows and planks is annoying so i get them back by camping the hook, Them kind of players are not fun to play against at all, I was in a game were i was chasing someone for most of the game because they were abusing jumping into windows and over planks, ITS SO ANNOYING and then they get mad for me camping the hook.. (Meaning looping the same window or plank)

Devs.. When a killer hooks someone why not put a debuff on that Survivors like 10% or 15% or choose what to debuff like running or gen repairing ect... It will make it fair.. It makes it rewarding.

Why not reward players for not abusing windows and planks?, Give them more blood points for not doing so.

Some of the maps are not balanced at all, Its a Survivors play room, People are not even scared of the killer.. Makes me laugh.

Buddy, i can understand its annoying when people do so, but its litterally one of the only ways they can survive against you.
The pallets and windows are to put more distance between you and them.

No, camping is when you are by the hooked one just to secure the kill and there's no evidence of other survivors being close by.
It's not your fault if they come to the hook when you are about to leave.
i have always thought that, but i get roasted about it. As other killers, i try to patrol after i hook, but as hag ive always been told to trap near the survivor so i have to spend x amount of time doing so. She is the killer i play who spends the most time by a hook after hooking a survivor. (Since I've literally only played Trapper once) some times i wish there was an add on it something that after a hook i can instantly draw one trap for x amount of seconds so i can go and place more traps on the map
I never patrol because it's more important to me to keep the map pressure, the more time i spend by the hook the more time survivors have to finish the gens.
When i play as the hag i never set more than 2 traps around the hook, just one most of the times for the same reason as above.
By patrol i meant gen patrol

    It's definitely not camping.

It's also not camping if you have someone on the hook at end game with gates open.

Survivors are plebs sometimes and will just try to put you down, it's absolutely not camping, you're doing damage to these survivors it's not your fault that they're hook rushing.

Yeah. Some do try to find every reason to flame someone.ive had a few question my tactics because i was a noob at a certain killer before, and they gave me tips. And most of the people i play against ether say GG or are silent
  • And no indications of bad connection?
  • @SpaceCoconut i saw how to hag, it gives a lot of nice tips. Thank you. But i do have a question, what do you do with knockout if you know the survivors are SWF before the match? I.e. whats your go to replacement?
  • Wouldn't this hurt you more than help? Huntress throws hatchets with her left hand so the hatchets launch from the left slightly.
Just have to learn the offset frok the crosshair. But i wont use it. What makes it easier is i cant haha
  • @Vietfox I'll try it out sometime. Seems liie a good non mmeta build

What? Lol this is a stupid nerf to a balanced Killer. The chainsaw is really easy to dodge unless you're bad at Survivor. You just have to turn to the left or right to dodge it.

Say that to the golden boots of turning!(yes i typed it out in a DnD thought pattern) his addon which allows him to turn easier, literally means ypu have to 90° turn some times.

But i agree. DW would be a waste on him. If your in jungle gym territory its easy to survive him

Yeah, like breaking pallets instantly is pointless because why the hell would you go back to the pallet when you could be chasing someone. The map wide Terror Radius is crap because there's no way in hell you can get on the other side of the map in one use of Frenzy.

I have hit someone before a pallet and they dropped it right after(and was out of its hit area) maybe that's what its for?

Thanks I'll defiently watch some so i can learn her a bit from watching someone.

@Vietfox @Maximus7 @Peanits thanks for the tips and suggestions as well
  • I have to admit, Legion is broken beyond belief.

I hit a survivor with Frenzy. Let her run away a bit to break chase. I catch her mending at a pallet loop. I walk sideways. She can't mend because I'm there, but she can't defend herself because the timer is still ticking.

I felt so bad. Most of all this guy isn't even fun to use.
Huh when i use him i dont end the chase unless im trying to sneak around to mind game because i don't news the post game salt haha

Most higher ranks will say that Legion is far to weak and - in theory - I understand their position. However, in low or mid-rank games I often see Legion doing 3 or 4 kills easily. I think the problem is that there is no direct counter to his power. If you are already hurt, how do you counter a Legion who refuses to use his power unless you drop a pallet? If you drop the pallet, he hits you again, if you don't use the pallet he gains blood lust and gets you down with the regular attack?

Can someone provide a strategy for non-top-tier players?

There's a 2 fold problem with Legion: His power is both a crutch and a weakness. If you're already injured then he wont use his power on you so best just do generators and be immersed and hide loop around a pallet until he's forced to use his power to catch up. He may tunnel one guy, but most of the gens will be done with this strategy. Another option is jungle gyms but he's probably going to tunnel you until he gets that hook, main issue is relying on team mates to get the gens done.

Strategy wise you could grab adrenaline, it really messes him up late game since he just loses all pressure.

TLDR: He's stronger at your rank because players aren't doing gens.

What doesn't help is, when survivors litterally know its a legion and can see one survivor get hit with Deep wounds on their status icons, they rush to the hooked survivor. WHEN IN THE TR.
if the legion see a Killer Instinct notification going towards a hooked survivor, they will rush to that point, the one trying to gwt unhooked geta hit, then he knocks both of you down with m1 because wow... You played yourselves.
Best counter play is have One survivor bait them to areas away from the rest so the other three can genrush imo.
Which risks one person being hooked. But if you can juke and hide, that survivor will be okay.

I said this on another thread earlier today. Say what you want, but I would love to see Springtrap from the FNaF series. He just fits perfectly for many reasons.
    A) Back in the days of 2014-15, Five Nights at Freddy's was HUGE. I mean like gargantuan. It even had a major part in YouTube Rewind in 2015.
B ) Five Night's at Freddy's is scheduled for a film adaptation sometime past 2020. I doubt if it wouldn't be at least considered then. One of the devs already said they wanted to see a FNaF character in the game.
    C) Springtrap/William Afton is PERFECT for a killer role in DbD. He killed dozens of innocent children by luring them away and then killing them. He would add new variety into the game because he is the first killer to partially non-human (with the other part being robot obviously). William Afton controls the suit, so its technically still human.

The Nightmare killed children, The Doctor has some mechanical alterations, and The Shape is literally not human.

Although, I would like to see William in the game.
Going off the current canon, Meyers is nothing but human.
Wasn't he orginally human, that slowly became consumed by darkness, thus "losing his humanity?"
  • Litterally beat way yo de rank imo is to play killers you suck as. Because... It helps you learn..
  • Ahh thanks should have used my head. Always just called it the full name
  • Its one of the most useless offerings together with thickening mist. Imo this offering should be changed so you can mori one person after all gens popped. And it doesn't matter if he got hooked before or not. This would be a great counterplay to "save the best for last" aka the obsession DS survivor
Rancor? Its a perk that pretty much doea that
  • Literally, they are just a waste of bloodpoints, as the simple existence of the hatch make this offering useless. Unless if you kill 3 survivor before 1 or 2 gens are done(very unlikely, unless you are playing against total potatoes).

I would understand if they were part of all killers. But it's a offering which only contributes to the grind. At their current state, the best is to exclude them.

Literally had a match just now, if i had that cypress, i would have got the last survivor.
  • Thank you guys fer the help. Its nice to see a nice group on here

I don't play a lot of hag but I played her repeatedly until I got all her teachables and here's some things I've done. When placing traps don't put it where survivors will obviously know where it is and just start crouching through it. Like in front of your totems, or in front of a survivor. Usually I place traps a little bit away from survivors or totems in a way that I know survivors will be walking towards the totem and then trigger the trap before they even get near it. This requires you to know some of the common survivor paths. I never used MYC but hag would be really good with that. Also thrill to protect your devour hope and ruin.

MYC is really suggest for her around here
  • @SpaceCoconut Perhaps you could give this player a few tips?
Anyway some tips of my own, place traps around loops so you can teleport to them when triggered, always try to put a trap by a hooked survivor and try to bring in Make Your Choice, it helps out a lot. NEVER place traps UNDER pallets always beside or near them. I always try and trap my hex totem if I have one but I think that's up to you. And ALWAYS try to play defensively with your gens and loops, never place all your traps by the hooked survivor too, I see many new hags do this and it hurts them a lot. I think this is it from me though. Have fun!!!
Yeah i normally put them like a little before or after a pallet

The hard part is, you have to anticipate where they are going. What are the common loops and windows and how you can cut them off.

I like to use MYC, M&A, HG, and BBQ. I love to surprise and scare my survivors.

    Like some other people said

    set traps
You are not a chaser. if you chase, you're losing slowly. Set them on annoying windows, pallets, make shortcuts so you dont have to derp after the survivor. And if you did, don't chase a survivor who's running into the empty. (of traps)
You dont need perks like BS, enduring, spirit fury, bambozzle, fire up and so on. trap=death , if not: you=fool

    you need time
ruin (but not on rank 1s), thana, sloppy, stbfl, pop goes the weasel and so on
you're [BAD WORD] dangerous with stbfl as a hag ^^
    choose a side
means.. chose the side where the generators are very close to each other. So you can patrol them better when it comes to the end of the midgame. and if you use pop goes the weasel you can gain some time. but dont play it like a dog, if you dont kill/down/hook survivors you will lose like every killer would

    be a tryhard

and here a little secret tip
use one addon for more duration time
so if a survivor triggered a trap and he just loop the pallet you can push him into corner. means because your phantasm stays longer the survivor has you behind him and before him. you just need a brain^^

Huh i see. So in otherwords. Get ready to be flamed for not being ,protect all gens" and being a tryhard. Ironnically atm i only have tier one ruin(bad luck on bloodweb)
  • I love legion but i consider him to be extremely add-on reliant

i have already posted some ideas for buffs but i think he may need a whole rework. i love the concept and in my own opinion i think his cosmetics (specially susie) are awesome.

Cleanse the F'ing Totems! Seriously, there is no need to complain about NOED when you can completely render the perk useless through normal gameplay.

DS is a 'get out of jail free' card, with rewards survivors and punishes killers

And NOED is a get away with doing nothing card, rewards killers and punishes survivors.

My main issue with NOED is how it rewards killers that have done nothing all game. Like tunnel and camp 1 survivor for 5 generators and get an easy 2-4k by doing absolutely nothing right.

I like this idea of having to work for it, instead of just getting it because you are losing.

NOED only halves the amount of hits the killer needs. But he still needs to hit them.

And D-strike only extends the chase by half. :)

Define half... Because if half of a chase is two gens worth?

But the fact that he was just using NOED in a rather simplistic but effective matter means he never intended to delay the game - only use his perk.

If that's bannable, then it's bannable for survivors to run around the map another 10 minutes in front of the exit instead of leaving.

    Just saying.

How are you guys so blind to bad killer tactics?

A survivor can't do anything to a body blocking killer, a killer can force survivors out of the gate. You guys really do only see one side it's ridiculous.

Being a bad killer isn't bannable. Bodyblocking in this way is worse for both killer and the survivor than camping, but it didn't break the game, hack or prevent the survivors from progressing the game illegally.

I agree that the only benefit for the killer is frustrating the survivor that was blocked, but we don't know how much of a jerk the survivor may have been before hand (hell, i will waste a game and camp someone who taunts and teabags just for kicks).

And if he didn't taunt the killer....well....that's just a bad killer and if you just play a little later in the evening it will be past his bedtime and his mommy will have put him to bed.

I have no issue with body blocking at all, but it completely prevents another player participating for no other reason than to be a nuisance, that should not be part of the game imo.

Not trying to disagree but... Unless all the survivors were noobiea shouldn't they have i dunno cleanse the totems? NOED should be assumed in most cases(because when you least expect it its there)

This idea that "because he eventually killed you" and "he didn't prolong the match" is exactly why we have little shits like that still running around in the game.

In any other game something like this would immediately be labeled as greifing, no matter how long the time (unless you're playing Rust, in which case you better be prepared to be someone's little prisoner)

In any other game, one team standing in the way to block the other from doing their objective would have been fixed a long, long time ago.

Bodyblocking shouldn't be in the game for anyone. But survivors wanted it as a tactic, so it's only fair that killers get to use it as a tactic too.

The bias is strong. I don’t get how people don’t see the difference between survivor body blocks and killer body blocks.

    SURVIVORS TAKE DAMAGE

    KILLERS DO NOT

you risk something to block as a survivor you risk nothing as a killer.

this guy waited 8 minutes, after 2/3 most players would assume a hostage game and DC.

A killer bodyblocking a guy in basement risks losing all map pressure and geting genrushed

And? 8 minutes to body block someone in the basement is not the same as taking a hit, you guys call me biased but when it comes to something like this you'll defend it to the moon and back it's so sad.

I dare to say that 8 minutes bodyblockign someone is more risky than taking a single hit if we are talking about losing the game

Ok, you're honestly just too biased to understand the difference.

@SenzuDuck i think he was semi joking when he made that. As a killer who does it is guarenteed a loss. But i do agree with you on the fact that body blocking isn't a proper playstyle for a killer(except when they litterally play themselves by putting themeselves in a corner l so you pin them to hit them once) but through awhole 8 mins just... Means you ether a troll or suck at hunting

Playing as the Killer is more stressful than playing survivors. There is nothing easy about playing killer. As a survivor  player you may be use to taking advantage of certain mechanics that once its gone you feel like the whole game is collapsing. I play solo survivor and have no problem with surviving.

And camp/tunnel, I know it could be frustrating but either just hurry and move on to the next game.

complete crap.. i'm a killer main and when i tell you they made it so easy for killers you can take it to the bank.. When they continue to add things to the game like slow vaulting as indicated above.. it's just terrible. we are talking i'm running straight at a window or pallet and the game slows me down.. If you watch my streams you will see 95% of the time when i get hit it's for this reason or i have already vaulted and still getting hit. Not when i'm close to the window but a step or two away as i'm running.

The camping tunneling is the worst it's ever been.

Edited this to add. he suggest moving on to the next game.. It's not a fun experience when 49 out of 50 games in a row is the exact same thing.. Get hooked, Killer is either camping or proximity camping, you get rescued and the killer goes straight for the rescued survivor. It's at an all time low..

That slow vaulting? It happens to me to...
But only when i have bad connection to the killer
Every single other vault i do when i have an okay to great connection is perfectly fine. So ether that must be a connection problem, or i must be 1000x lucky.
And a hit through the window? Connection problems can cause that as well. Even if its in the not crap but not amazing catagory.
When i have a great connection with the killer i never get hit through a window

Just don't dc. Pick the Wraith, go invisible (so they can't find you and bully you), and hide in a corner somewhere until the match is over. That way you depip and the survivors get their points. Win win.

I thought that this is a good idea in the beginning too.
But the survivors being survivors will search the whole map for you, blind you, kick you out of stealth and then proceed to bully/farm BP with you.

The only killer that cant be bullied while afking is freddy

I've faced a few deranking freddys before. I remember the last one I went straight out because I was happy for the free win. Two other survivors stayed in though. Eventually freddy ended up killing them because they messed up and got hooked.

Going afk only works half the time because survivors will stay in the game for however long it takes to get attention...and its pointless becausr when chased they'll run straight for the open exit gates too. They ruin everything.
Can say this is correct... I had to afk to help a neighbor. Came back 15-30 mins later, a claud was spam speed jumping out of a locker.. Caught and killed them
