Don't lose hope just yet. While without a doubt the Ash we will be getting will be Old Ash from the show we still have no idea who the killer will be other than it will be a he. So Evil Ash from Army of Darkness could still be possible.

Would be wonderful. I would switch to him just because it is him. I don’t care if his power was flicking paper clips at people.

I just hope they keep this whole “killer can actually speak” should they go this route. 90% of what makes Bruce Campbell entertaining is him running his mouth and one liners.

  • I think we have a good selection of killers for those who want to go different play styles. However, as mentioned before, many killers just need to be reworked to be more viable as you climb the ranks.

It gets tiring for survivors to see billy and nurse around every corner at the high ranks. I am not saying make every single killer that level, as a god tier nurse will demolish any SWF group, but just bring some up to par.

As for my killer, no, granny Hag is just fine. Her lunge is wonky in terms of animation, but her overall functionality is great.

  • She’s an interesting killer. Top tier? No, not at all. A skilled... vomiter (something I never thought I would say) can put a survivor in broken status very quickly and floor them just as quickly. This will take people who want to be serious with the plague time to perfect, but she has potential.

Outside of that she has weak map pressure. She is faster than any female killer in the game at 115%, but that’s all she has.

I enjoy her, personally. Her vomiting brings a gross horror type that this game has sorely needed, and her character model is absolutely stunning. Nothing more terrifying than a seven foot tall woman spraying you with vomit and caving your head in with a censer. Well, except spiders. God help me if that ever makes it in this game.

Campy hags are annoying. I get placing a couple of traps, but some just go absolutely nuts placing them near the hook.

If a hag has to put ten traps on a hooked survivor, they are honestly doing it wrong.

  • That’s a shame. Running around as “Bad Ash” while his jaw falls off yelling at survivors would’ve been good fun.

  • You said survivor and logic in conjunction with one another.

    Just pointing that out

  • Smack person, chase them, down them, hook them, let them get rescued, smack them, hook them... fairly easy.

  • Truthfully, the younger generation probably has absolutely no idea who that is unless they follow horror closely.

Besides, we already have a vomiting killer now.

  • When did noed become a problem?

  • People who act like brats get treated like brats. A nice timeout with your undivided attention is a proper punishment for their behavior.

  • Tires are not your friend. Competent survivors will run to these on a nurse just due to how hard it is for a blink to get around/through them.

Most of it is prediciting their movement, but if you honestly don’t feel like spending half the match with one nitwit around tires, blink elsewhere. Attack survivors who aren’t around difficult objects for you to get through

  • Dead languages are hard to translate. Though it leaves room for a lot of imagination

  • Not a huge Myers player, usually do just to specifically play his jump scare strat or when I want to mix it up.

How do you want to play Myers? He has a few ways he can be played, but fully understand that in the end you are a pure M1 killer and nothing more. His stalking is part of his kit but it will not help you directly in a chase. You are going to get pallet slammed and looped.

A “regular” Myers will stalk to T2 and fill his T2 gauge until it almost goes into T3. Any addons that assist in building it faster or keeping it active longer is helpful. When a survivor is around (preferably two) you pop T3 and nail them.

Jump scare Myers is someone who uses the cracked mirror and the add on that slightly increases his lunge during T1. That mirror allows you to wall hack and see survivors within a large radius when you stalk. Using monitor and abuse will reduce your terror radius in T1 to zero, meaning you are a stealth killer... the trade off being that you are very slow. This build is fun for maps like Lerys or The Game. Do NOT use this build in maps that are wide open, as it is hard to conceal a near seven foot tall killer without solid walls. This is a meme build but reactions from survivors are priceless.

Perks? Anything to slow the game down (ruin), pallet effects and destruction of them (brutal strength, etc), and monitor and abuse (your tiny terror radius becomes even smaller).

Others can give better advice on Michael, but this is what I tend to do.

  • Did you mean mori? I see Mauri I am thinking of talk shows.

I am a Hag main as well, and most of what you say is true... except one thing. Camping Hags.

My only question is why in the world are people tripping the traps that a Hag has OBVIOUSLY placed nearby? If you don’t trip the trap, she cannot teleport (unless using an add on that allows such), meaning you have a window to get away.

Hags are hard to go against. Whenever I play survivor I hate going them as well. I can’t stand jump scares and she is the champion at creating them.

Hoverboard, though. I demand to see one pop under her feet when she lunges now.

  • Truth be told, take some business classes and learn the ins and outs of running one. We don’t know behaviors finances nor their bills. We don’t know any projects they are currently working on aside from the dedicated servers.

Putting it plainly, your wishes may just not be in the cards because they have tied up money elsewhere.

I think you all missed the part where I said if a survivor does anything toxic/ taunting then camp the living sh** outta of them

I think the point that you are missing is that the majority of survivors who get camped had it coming.

Yes, there are killers who will camp and tunnel just because they can, but you have to evolve your strategy around this. If you have a face camper, burn through gens and prepare to leave. If all they have is one kill, well bravo for them, everyone else gets out. Why waste your time and hover around a hook? You are asking to die.

Getting tunneled? Don’t make poor saves. Dont lunge in and pull a survivor off of a hook when the killer is barely ten feet away, wait for the killer to LEAVE. Most survivors do stupid things, both rescuer and victim. Healing under a hook? When you pull someone off, where do you think we will check first? You guessed it, the hook!

Play smart. Coming in here and saying that we are all campers and tunnelers is nothing more then troll bait or the need to feed your desire to argue. You are going to get ######### killers, just as we get ######### survivors. Telling people to change their tactics, which are perfectly legal, because you don’t like it will get you absolutely NOWHERE.

I play hag or clown atm... use NC but I seem to suck with Strudir or hearing direction in general.

If you are playing hag, then tracking shouldn’t be much of an issue if played correctly. Trapping traveled paths instead of only gens will allow tracking for you. If you want greater success with nurses calling on hag, use monitor and abuse. Your terror radius will be smaller than the radius of nurses calling.

Clown... can’t help ya much there, others can, but I am not much of a clown player

  • Then survivors shouldn’t stalk killers for flashlight saves, click them repeatedly, or tea bag.

Honestly man, some of you are just asking us to face camp you.

  • Hate to say it, but a lot of it comes down to practice and predictability. Learning where survivors would run to and their tricks to try and confuse you is an important skill as well.

Learning physical tracking is important, but it’s your mind that will carry you through to the end.

Do you use headphones? The amount of survivors that don’t use iron will is staggering, and more often then not it’s their wounded cries that give them away. Standing still and hearing a rustle of grass or a gentle opening or closing of a locker goes a long way too.

What killer(s) do you use? What perks do you use? More information is needed to get a more specific answer. Many of us will be happy to help, just help us help you.

  • I have always loved the concept of trap killers. I would like to see more killers that have a trapping concept to their play. To me it is rewarding to see people stumble into your handiwork after you spent a few moments prepping it.

  • @RabidWabbitz said:

@Divinitye9 I actually feel personally that they could do both if properly managed. As far as the dedicated servers, you buy them, put the game on them, and make them live so not sure why that is taking so long.

I am not an expert on coding games or anywhere near that, but nothing with technology is ever that simple. Creating servers to host a game is more than just your plug and play mentality. This game was not originally designed with dedicated servers, only peer to peer connection. Servers have to be purchased, housed in appropriate locations (remember, we are around the world in this game), and the software must jive with the servers and those who connect with them.

Purchasing, storage, movement, power usage, bandwidth... the costs are far more than you seem to realize.

Not to mention having to adjust the game itself to be used on a dedicated server, which costs time and labor.

I am sure I am wrong on points, as my understanding of the gaming world is beyond my knowledge, but this stuff is fairly common sense.

  • Her perk that allows her to see auras of nearby survivors make her an excellent slugging killer... though that perk can eventually be learned by any killer, so technically anyone can be a slugging killer.

As stated above though, broken does not stop people from being brought up from a dying state. It only prevents survivors from reaching a healthy state.

  • Do you want dedicated servers or a licensed killer that they can’t do much with?

I can only assume that licensed killers are NOT cheap. I would prefer that money be better spent towards improving the quality of the game then being able to run around as a movie character.

Not that I wouldn’t mind Pinhead or the Tall Man running around in DbD

  • I don’t know if I would agree that a Hag is a “simple” killer, nor the trapper. Yes, any nitwit with fingers can set a trap, but it takes a brain to set them where it will do the most good and not rely on plain ol luck (though it is helpful).

That being said, I prefer complexity and planning. This is why I love the Hag. I have to decide where traps will have the maximum effect and drive survivors towards the places I have already rigged.

There is nothing wrong with simple killers. Legion aside, most killers abilities require practice and knowledge to use to their true potentials.

  • I frequent a stream where I did that when we do KYF. I always tend to run the meme builds when I run killer (sniper doctor, stealth Myers, overcharge Freddy). We all actually had a good time.

  • I have stood in one spot as an uncloaked wraith who was running noed at that time. The remaining three got away from me (I killed the first, I don’t think he was part of their little group) did their little taunting actions at the gate. I just stood a fair distance back, uncloaked, staring at them.

One got bold and came right up to me, unaware I had an active noed. I ended up killing two of them while the other one bailed. Was quite funny.

I just stand there and look at people now. If they want to test the waters with me and come towards me, by all means do so.

  • She is a Babylonian, yes. If she is speaking an actual language it is a dead language. I do know that BE put some research into languages to bring it to life, but how much of her words are an actual language or jibberish isn’t 100% known. It is probably a mix of the two.

  • You want to scare people? Go into Lerys or the game and hold yourself to T1 for awhile and just jump scare people on generators.

    That is loads of fun

  • People hate playing against him/her. As said earlier, he is a brain dead killer with zero counterplay. He pokes you, you run off and mend, pokes again, mend, poke poke poke mend mend mend. Alternatively it’s Franks mix tape and he just three shots you in frenzy to down you. No counterplay.

He is an absolute headache and I personally find him boring to play as.

  • I think she has some room for a little improvement, but I absolutely love the art style they took with this killer.

From what I can see, she is now the tallest killer in the game (if you include the headpiece).

For a game where most of the female killers came from a tragic past or were terrified of being alone, this one wanders around with a sense of purpose and power. She stands up completely straight, walks with confidence and is a woman of power, fitting for her position of a high priestess. I would be absolutely terrified of a seven foot tall woman who is trying to vomit on me and bash my skull in with a censer.

  • Honestly, is getting a 4K every single time THAT important to you?

  • These guys have all hit the general points. Here are a few more.

    Perks

Monitor and Abuse (MaA): One of the absolute best picks for her due to her naturally small terror radius (24m). This brings you down to 16m. This allows you to close a gap on an unwary survivor to give you less of a chase or an easy first strike. Your height will also help conceal your physical presence, making this perk very useful. It also pairs well with....

Nurse’s Calling: At rank 3, you will see healing survivors at 32m. With your terror radius being reduced to 16m, you can see survivors before they know you are there. This is an incredibly powerful combination that can give you the element of surprise.

As for other perks, it’s whatever you want to use. Ruin is a way to buy yourself time to set up your trap network, sloppy butcher goes well with the other perks, make your choice is wonderful on a hag as well. Play and see what fits your needs.

    Traps

Spacecoconut made a guide that is still relevant today. I highly advise you look at that video on YouTube. General information is to not set obvious traps. Set traps where survivors will land when vaulting a window, set them in traveled pathways, set them on the way to rescue a survivor from a hook. If you do nothing but trap gens, you won’t see a lot of success. It’s going to take time to learn as you need strong map knowledge to truly make a Hag shine.

Addons are what you want to use. Just play with them, see what fits your style. People love using mint rag whereas I do not. I don’t like that style of play.

Good luck. Always realize too that no matter how well you play, you are not guaranteed perfect results or 4ks. You will get outplayed and you will outplay others. These are only suggestions to help you on your way.

  • Legion. Poke, run away, mend, poke poke poke run away mend, poke poke....

Hes just as boring to play as. I am no elite killer by any means, but I honestly feel like I am gaining no ground through frenzy.
  • Legion. Poke, run away, mend, poke poke poke run away mend, poke poke....

  • No I am not TydeTime, I don’t even make DBD videos.
The point they are making is your ignorance to the power of the Hag’s traps. He also said that the Hag was a low tier killer. Him, like you, do not understand how to fully play her to her fullest potential.

In the right hands the Hag is an absolute terror. Running around as a hag with near full unused traps is an exercise in futility. You play chess with survivors, not chase them down for long distances. That’s a billy’s job.

  • Or the futurama song plays for the bells. That’s be rather hilarious.
  • How many times must be beat this poor dead horse?
  • Myers would be the most evil killer. Most serial killers, including this game, have had a purpose or reason for their heinous acts. Be it for sport, entertainment, sexual gratification, self defense, or a dog told them to do it, there is generally some reason to them.

Myers has no reason. He simply murders just to do so. This also discounts the curse garbage from the movies and rob zombies take on the character.

Most evil non licensed it the Trapper. He would do literally anything for his father, and slaughtering the miners was something he had no problem doing. He probably developed a taste for it along the way.
  • Anna would probably have a combination of abandonment issues tied in with sociopathic behavior. She is also walking around with the mentality of a child.

She grew up alone in a forest after her mother was killed. She had no one to raise her or teach her how to grow up and be an adult. She functions through primal instinct, doing only what she knows how to do... hunt.

She believes that all young girls are a representation of herself and the feelings that she faced when she lost her mother, hence her taking them alive and “protecting” them from the harsh cruelty of the world. Her lack of knowledge and ability to effectively commmunicate and empathize with her captive ultimately led to their deaths. Anna would blame herself for failure and try again. As Vaas taught us in Far Cry, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. I think this is when her insanity fully set in.

You can hear her childish tantrums when she gets smacked with a pallet or a survivor escapes them. Her child like roar and growl help that case of her mind.

TL;DR: She’s a sociopathic monster of a woman who never grew to a full adult and she kills things because it’s what she knows. Humans all like familiarity, and this is familiar.
  • A man with cancer chasing survivors? i dont know, it seems off

We have teenage children chasing down full grown men with rulers with compass points taped to them.

Honestly, David could flat out level any Legion with a good right cross.

    Yet, it doesn’t happen.

The entity can do many things to assist a killer in their endeavors. Helping a man run who is riddled with cancer? Not unbelievable in the entity’s realm.
  • As said earlier, a lot of people underestimate leatherface. Yes, he is on the lower tier of killers, but he still has the potential to kill a group that taker stupid risks because “it’s a leatherface”.

In your game, did someone get a basement hook? They are hard to deal with when it’s a different killer, but can be VERY dangerous with a leatherface. One chainsaw sweep on the stairs and you’re going on the hook with the person you just rescued.

Morale of the story? Don’t underestimate any killer. It’ll be a quick trip to hook city.
  • I would grab the last gen they need and run in circles so they have to chase me instead.
  • People d/c against legion because he is honestly incredibly boring to play against. When i decide to go survivor it pains me to even see one.

Run, poke, poke another dude, poke, hide and mend. Do this about 10 times in a match and you’ll see what I mean.

It drags out the game tremendously, which is fine if the drag out is beneficial to the killer.  Unfortunately, unless you are running franks mix tape or have somehow mastered legion, there is no advantage to be had.

There isn’t a lot of counterplay, either. If legion sees you and frenzies, he/she is going to catch you unless you are running a speed perk.

I see this and I prefer killer. Can’t imagine how it is for survivor mains. He’s just not fun.

I really like the idea tho it sounds really cool but don't see it making it's way into the game

In all honestly it would be quite interesting to see a power meant to truly confuse someone and put them into a state of actually feeling anxious.

I agree with your statement though, sadly. The ability would need some tweaking, but would be a lot of fun.

Not a fan of a pitchfork. For some reason when I think of scarecrows and horror movies, I think of a scythe.  Either the large scythe or the one handed sickle, either one would be quite cool on a killer like this.

    Hey there "Divinitye9"

I know what you mean, when I was designing the character, I went through a couple of different weapons ideas. Such as a rope whip with clawed tips, a full size scythe, a garden hoe, a sickle and a pitchfork. I was originally going to go for the sickle but I thought that was too main stream and ended with the pitchfork because it seems to be more common on farms compared to sickles.

Now I'm not a farmer of have family that have farms so I could be wrong with that last statement.

Another idea could be a hand sized pitchfork, kind of like a dagger but rather than a knife end, its a pitchfork. What are your thoughts on that?

    Cheers for your feedback

You don’t see sickles and scythes in most modernized countries due to the use of machinery. They are used by those who do not have access to such things.

Aside from it being an old piece of farm equipment and being “mainstream”, scythes also bring a very strong nod to what they are generally seen as. Scythes are most commonly associated with the grim reaper, hence death. In this entity’s world it would fit quite nicely with the lore.

A jumping slash would also make more sense with a two handed weapon over a single handed. If you are going to jump at someone and you want to make it count, the bigger the better. Whether it be a scythe, a pitchfork, a piece of rebar, or hell an entire leg haunch of a cow... you get the point.

Scythes in my opinion also look far more menacing. Pitch forms are deadly, especially if Jason Voorhees has one, but I’d be terrified if a monstrous scarecrow was waving a scythe in my face.

    Just my personal opinion, though.
  • Not a fan of a pitchfork. For some reason when I think of scarecrows and horror movies, I think of a scythe.  Either the large scythe or the one handed sickle, either one would be quite cool on a killer like this.
  • You really want to use devour hope, don’t you?
  • Pig wins this hands down. I have always thought combat straps or anything to make her ambush just a tad more useful instead of situational.

Freddy should have his blocks built in. A full dream transition is a touch ridiculous. It should be, at the very least, half of normal time.

Everyone has already mentioned the trapper. That’s a fairly obvious one.

  • To me the legion moonwalk is an exploit, albeit, yes a minor one, but it was clearly not intended.

People will do what they can to get the win, however, and it’ll be interesting if they try and fix this.

  • Best thing to do when people want to chill out at the exit is to play immersive survivor and hide. One of two amazing things will happen.

    1. If you have time to kill, they will stand there like idiots for awhile. Make it more enjoyable and time them. Last time I got destroyed by a SWF group I went cloak as wraith and hid in a corner. They waited for, no joke, 10 minutes. I saw them just hovering around that gate from far away.

    2. They come looking for you. I have actually killed people with this method. Abusing their hubris is quite comical.
