They don't actually have any solid arguments. I mean, look at them claiming Deathslinger has no counterplay and that you'd win with him regardless of whatever. Which objectively isn't true. It's always survivors refusing to adjust their gameplay (the same kind that complains about ruin/devour but won't bring Small Game or such and cleans totems).
Zarina is fine, that person is just grasping for straws cause they probably fall for Red Herring or Off The Record on a regular basis.
I openly admitted that Slinger was bad because of his awful mobility. You can beat him just fine by slamming gens, but when you're in a chase, no, there is nothing you can do against a Slinger who knows how to shoot his gun.
Twisting my words, bringing in an irrelevant conversation (which also hints that you don't read these posts all the way through since if you did you'd know that me thinking Zarina is ugly has nothing to do with me thinking Slinger is unbalanced), and not actually coming up with any arguments yourself.
You need to git gud at spearing Survivors and git gud at arguing online.

I'd say be wary of anyone who says
'I did not insult or belittle you, only the things that you take joy from.'
Also, if you think Slinger is fine, I would wager that you're the one who needs to "learn how to play".

Okay, i have 500 hours into the game, maining him. Would you assume I get 3-4k in every match? Because you are equalling understanding how a killer works with mastering them.
Would you assume I can get 3-4k per match? By your own logic?
Thing is, Slinger isn't a good Killer. But that's because he's 110 with no mobility.
Easy Killer =/= good Killer. Just take a look at Legion or Wraith. As far as landing shots and hitting speared Survivors go, though, yes, 500 hours is more than enough time to get good with this Killer.

Because I have heard people say exactly that without any sarcasm.
Is that what you are saying? That people like me are not welcome here?
No, you're welcome here.
I just think that by defending this Killer you are supporting an extremely unhealthy balance decision and if you were to leave I certainly would not miss you.

again, it comes down to the player's experience. The position won't matter.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1676996#Comment_1676996
PH does have a bigger and longer hitbox (there's a euphemism for y'all), and it again comes down to survivors trying to play against Deathslinger (and PH) the same way as against other killers.
(It's the same as survivors waiting on pallets for Deathslinger...)
And you need very little experience to understand Deathslinger.

As a survivor facing Deathslinger you should be making sure you are running around areas that make it harder for the Deathslinger to get good shots.
The goal as a survivor is to prevent Deathslinger from reeling you in with his gun and to force him to have to walk up to you for the hit.
Considering the Deathslinger can literally get a good shot on you as long as he can see you, that's once again more up to the Killer's poor positioning rather than the Survivor's good one.
Not every map is Gideon's.

@Crowman said:
Huntress has a wind up and her hatchets do immediate damage.
Deathslinger has no wind up, but he has to reel in survivors and survivors are given the opportunity to try to break the chain during the reel.
Their range attacks simply have different ways to counter it. Complaining that Deathslinger has no wind up is missing the actual counterplay his gun is meant to have.
Wow, I've yet to see a "just break the chain 4head" argument in defense of Slinger.
Probably because the chain only has a chance of being broken if the Deathslinger positioned himself poorly or has bad timing, i.e. doesn't really matter what the Survivor does.

Some people apparently CAN look around for Huntress, but utterly lose that ability for Deathslinger.
And given Deathslinger has a very distinct chase music that argument falls flat.
You're right, though. I don't want him in the game. I wish he were never added. I wish that entire patch just never hit the live servers.

So she's even worse if played right. Which is what people claim every Deathslinger player does by default 'play right'. which is nonsense.
Could you people at least be honest enough to say it outright that you don't want the character (and people who like him) in the community at all? That'd be nice (some of you do have that decency at least)
You do realize that the humming, you know, gets louder the closer she is, right?
You could also just, as you said, look around.

@MeltingPenguins said:
This isn't bait, I'm genuinely curious.
I know the onslaught of reasonings why Deathslinger is no fun to face (to the point of people calling for his removal from the game), and I'm sitting here
'But huntress is WORSE in thise regard'.
Hear me out.
- Yes, Huntress has her humming, but here actual TR is the same as Caleb's, meaning she can benefit from M&A the same and it boils down to survivors looking around. The humming doesn't actually tell you that much about how close she is.
- Yes, Huntress has to charge up her hatches, but in the end it comes down to how good the player can aim. Just like with Deathslinger. She can fake her attacks just the same. Insta-shoots require training, so the 'shoot from the hip' people claim is so common with Deathslinger isn't that common at all (it's likely that a lot of red ranks also play FPS on a regular basis, which, however, will affect their Huntress gameplay as well)
- Iri addons: Deathslinger has to hit within a very narrow margin for the iri coin to allow insta-down, which again comes down to the players abilities, not the design. The iri heads reduce the number of hatchets to 1 (3 with belt) but again, it comes down to the players abilities. you see the head played much more often than the coin. The different hitboxes between the hatchets and the speargun also play into this.
- Huntress has more addons that mess with survivor's healing than Deathslinger, slowing them down quite a bit.
- Huntress' main perks are more powerful than Deathslinger's. Even if just in theory. BoP is great for people good at chases, TI is good when that's your plan, and Lullaby... speaks for itself. DMS only works with the obsession (It wouldn't be broken if it'd work with every survivors) Retri is only worthwhile with another Hex, and Gearhead requires two hits before it progs once before you have to get hits in. Huntress (also due to the lullaby and the hatchet range (though, again, requires an experience player) has more map pressure through lullaby alone, while Caleb has a lot of perks that require him to continuously move around the map without a guaranteed payoff. If we just compare their own perks.
In conclusion:
At bottom line every argument brought up against Deathslinger can be brought up against Huntress too, yet the only beef people seem to have with her is the Iri Head, while Deathslinger can't do anything right.
Why?
Also, her TR isn't the same as Caleb's. His is 24 meters; hers is 20. Just putting that out there.

You seem to think that aiming is where Slinger's and Huntress's skill lies. This is definitely not true. While yes, good aim will get you further when it comes to landing crazy shots, the fact of the matter is, neither of them are very mechanically demanding Killers because the mechanical skill curve in this game is pathetically low. I'd say the only abilities that are mechanically hard to aim well are Punishment of the Damned (when you're not abusing zoning) and Lethal Rush+Lethal Rush swings. Realistically, once you have your bead on a target, hitting a hatchet or a spear isn't hard at all.
And that's why the lack of a rev is why Slinger is stupid. It's not hard to aim his rifle. So you have an easy-to-hit, instant cast shot that can be faked easier than my interest in the upcoming Rift. Huntress can't do that. She actually has a rev.
So, yes, it's because of the rev. Aiming doesn't make a difference because aiming isn't hard to do.
-
Depends on what you mean by "looping". Using tiles in a smart, effective way to keep the Killer's weapon from touching you is normal and fine, but that's not what I consider "looping". To me, looping is when you find something like the Ironworks window or a short-wall pallet or anything safe and just hold W around it for ages because there's nothing a Killer can do to shorten that unless they have a good anti-loop power. And believe it or not, holding W until the Survivor either gets greedy and gives you a hit or drops the pallet and gains free distance isn't fun, interactive, or entertaining in any way. If I wanted to hold W for 12 years I'd go play Death Stranding.
-
Spine Chill makes me not play Myers. I don't even need to worry about Object because that stupid Perk ensures I'll be in tier 1 for at least 3 gens.

I see god-tier Survivors very rarely. I also see competent Survivors very rarely.

People have been saying demogorgon is too loud and gives too much info, but how much ground can this argument cover? Let’s see:
I’ll be listing every killer and their global audio cue then compare them to demo:
- Trapper: global sound cue for when a trap gets disarmed
- Wraith: Swoosh sound every time he cloaks or uncloaks, + bell sound when he’s near.
- Hilbilly: Chainsaw sounds, not 100% global but still can be heard from long distances
- Nurse: global screeching sounds
- Myers: global halloween theme + exposed icon to survivors in tier 3
- Hag: this one is probably the most subtle but you can hear a slight sound whenever she takes a trap. test in kyf if you don’t believe me.
- Huntress: SHING kinda sound when her hatchet is fully charged, and global
- Doctor: both static blast and shock therapy have global sound cues.
- Bubba: like hillbilly
- Freddy: Air wooshing sounds when he’s teleporting, and global.
- Pig: she doesn’t have a global cue but she does have an ambush cue, and you can see the progress of your teammates traps
- Clown: survivors screams when intoxicated are global. + he grunts when he vaults so shack double vault mindgames are impossible with him.
- Spooreh: Phasing sounds, not global but can be heard from a decent range, because it would just be a buff if the phasing was global since you won’t tell if she’s near or not.
- Legion: deep wound bar that instantly notifies survivors its legion and every time you see it it means they’re busy frenzying someone (if thats even a word)
- Plague: global cue for cleansing and if she picks corrupt purge
- Ghostface: you can see if a survivor is marked or not and if it’s not you then you can instantly tell its ghostface.
- Oni: Global war cry, and global sound cue for when his power is ready to use
- Deathslinger: global gun shot sound cue
- Blight: you can hear him roar when hes around 20m of you, but hes the only killer that doesn’t have a global audio cue or doesnt give a special effect on the survivors status bar (the one at the bottom left).
Now, what was the point of all this? to prove that every killer notifies survivors on what they’re doing, however demo boi notifies survivors even when he misses or gets stunned when no other killer does that.
Is it a bad thing? Yes and no; No cuz you can use this to your advantage by giving survivors a false sense of security: randomly clicking m1 will notify everyone that you tried to hit someone when you werent even in a chase plus swf get info on what the killer is doing regardless if it’s demo or not, yes cuz if you actually are in a chase survivors will be wary of that, hell you can even hear if someone got dedicated or not, cuz if you hear his global stun noise and see a survivor downed at the same time then it means they got hit as they stunned you. ofc im not saying that demo is fine and that this is justified by any means and he could still use some buffs and an add on overhaul. his m1 and stun noises shouldn’t be global at all, the rest can stay global, like the roar after a hit or the roar while teleporting and for the love of god remove his STOMP STOMP while hes undetectable
Yes, a large portion of Killers have an audiovisual audio cue detectable by all Survivors when certain points of their power are put into play. Some of them don't, a la Blight.
Demogorgon, on the other hand, has a map-wide sound signal for literally everything except placing down a portal, even if it's completely irrelevant to his power. Swinging? Interacting with a pallet, gen, locker, or other objects in the environment? Stunned? All of those have global audio stingers.

If you think hook trades are fair and balanced, you yourself are bad and toxic for the game.
You run up directly in front of the Killer and try to pull your friend off a hook.
The Killer is RIGHT THERE. He has a WEAPON. You are doing something DIRECTLY IN FRONT of the Killer.
Going down for doing something that stupid and reckless is not unfair. It is what you deserve for making a bad—nay, terrible—play.

No, it's made to counter camping and tunneling off the hook. If you're reckless enough to unhook directly in the Killer's face, you should go down. Hook trades are fair and balanced. Removing them with a Perk is stupid.

But like, at the same time, you know... Minecraft.

Medkits are already insanely strong with the right addons. And then you have stuff like We'll Make It, Botany Knowledge, Inner Strength (which is even stronger now that totems are actually a thing to deal with), and Desperate Measures—goodness, Desperate Measures...
Survivors have so many tools at their disposal to heal at the speed of light. Ever since the devs made the healing changes back in 2018 which made healing take 16 seconds at base, healing tools have been given a buff almost every patch, big or small. And it really makes me wonder why they nerfed healing in the first place if they were just going to make it go Super Saiyan anyways.

I'm fine with certain actions like travelling through a portal having a map-wide indicator, since that could be a game-altering decision on Demogorgon's part and Survivors should be let known to stay on their toes. But everything else? He has a global audio cue for any attack, hit or miss, and breaking a pallet or generator. Why? Why does he let every Survivor in the game know he's doing completely normal Killer things?

Yes, actually, they did. Saving a Survivor from the Killer's shoulder by any means rewards a token. So does taking a hit, safe hook rescues, and freeing a Survivor from a bear trap.

You not remember the tournament games where everyone missed the POTD attack and the hosts start saying its not worth using just bait into the M1? Yeah I’m sure people that practised PH religiously intending to win $10,000 dont know how to use his power properly.
Also why is it always the killers that need skill? Meanwhile as survivor I just can tap e for distance into a strong window then run around it 3 times wasting a minute of the killers time while he cant do anything about it? Why can they just sprint burst to the nearest mega loop? Why can they burn an ormond offering and just run from safe pallet to safe pallet to safe pallet to safe pallet? Or why can they run to spots like Badham school and waste of minute of time by just holding W and god pallets?
Both sides should require more skill but its always killers that expected to put in all the skill while survivors are asked to use little to none.
I’m gonna have to go out on a limb here and say, yeah, those PH tourney guys weren’t playing him very well. Hell, MOST of the people in those tourneys were playing really poorly. I don’t think they practiced as much as you say they did. You also have to take into account that these are tournaments with bizarre out-of-game rules, and that could have drastically affected the way people play—meaning the PH players probably did intend to zone but became overly ambitious with an ability they didn’t understand very well, or the Survivors looped in a weird way that they weren’t expecting.
(If a random on the Internet like me can hit shots just fine, why can’t they?)

@Massquwatt said:
It's all going to depend on the numbers, in particular the cooldown for punishment for the damned. I have a few ideas on what the changes might cause but until we get the definite numbers it's only theory from my end.
Currently the cooldown for Punishment of the Damned is 2.75 seconds. If the cooldown is left above 2 seconds then the current playstyle for PH won't change all that much. You'd still use Punishment of the Damned at animation locks because the cooldown isn't short enough to justify using it more liberally. However if the cooldown gets changed to under 2 seconds then it could lead into a playstyle change where you can be very aggressive with your Punishment of the Damned and could lead into it being very spammable. The only other downside using it is that it costs 20% of your rites of judgement but it's only really a downside if you wanna put down trails. If you wanna completely forget about using trails you could easily just use punishment of the damned to spam around loops. If you want your gameplay against him to be just him using his Punishment of the Damned around a loop every 2 seconds that's fine but in terms of excitement I don't really see that scenario terribly exciting compared to what we currently have now.
Also I think that the cooldown changes doesn't really address why Pyramid Head uses Rites of Judgement as a zoning tool and it's mostly because Punishment of the Damned kinda sucks? The attack is very telegraphed, PH dragging his knife along the ground with the associated noise it makes as well as him flicking it up from the ground, having the massive red outline appear in front of him and then the attack travelling along a wave. Because of the nature of how attack travels trying to get long range hits with it becomes harder the farther the projectile travels outwards because it gives survivors even more time ontop to dodge it after anticipating the attack. Maybe a good change for his Punishment of the Damned is instead of it going through walls it does the whole attack in the whole area now, no more wave projectiles.
Again depending on the numbers I don't really see how the current changes make PH any more skillful then he currently is. My prediction is that it'll either lead into two scenarios: One scenario that prompts the spamming of Punishment of the Damned around loops until you eventually down the survivor or cooldown on Punishment of the damned isn't worth it and PH just simply has less oppurntunities use his ability. Like I said we'll just have to wait until the numbers come out, I could be wrong, I'll probably be wrong, a lot of people are going to say that I'm wrong but as someone who really, really, really likes Pyramid Head I feel like I got a personal stake in this so I just want to try and drive my point home as much as possible.
EDIT: I completely forgot about the fact that aiming Punishment of the Damned is kinda crummy too given that you can't flick with it, the turn rate on rites of judgement is pretty horrible and when the knife is in the ground you're only locked to moving forwards and strafing is out of the question which reinforced the notion of only using your ability on animation locks.
I’m gonna try to break down your argument into a couple of primary points.
•Using Punishment of the Damned isn’t worth the risk.
I disagree immensely there. Punishment of the Damn will allow you to get all kinds of hits that any other Killer couldn’t even dream of. This is the first Killer since Nurse to have any kind of wall-penetrating damage ability, and the the value to be reaped from that is extreme. If you miss, yeah that sucks, but if you don’t, you get a hit at range through walls. It ignores pallets, it ignores debris, it ignores loops—it ignores everything as long as it’s in range. The value there is huge.
•People zone because Punishment of the Damned itself is just bad and easy to avoid.
Regarding the zoning part, this is false. The reason people zone is because when that sword is in the ground, Pyramid Head has incredibly easy access to both POTD and his melee. It takes very little time to “un-rev” the shot, and you move at 110 speed while channeling the ability. This means it is very easy to put the Survivor in a situation where no matter what they do, they get hit: They either run the loop normally and get shot by running under a pallet/choke point with limited strafing or animation-locking themselves, or they try to juke and get melee’d.
That’s why I also disagree with your belief that these changes won’t have an impact on Pyramid Head’s skill requirement: This zoning method of chasing is extremely easy to do, and takes much less skill than learning to effectively use POTD itself as an anti-loop tool, and the returns you get out of it are immense—against a Pyramid Head who knows how to zone, there are a lot of loops that have absolutely no counterplay; no matter what the Survivor does, they’ll get hit. Forcing PH players to rely less on these minimum-counterplay situations and actually practice using Punishment of the Damned for what it was obviously meant to be used for: a damaging shockwave to cancel loops using its own range and wall hacks.
Look, I don’t even think zoning needs to be removed entirely. I just think if you’re going to put your sword in the ground without actually intending to shoot it, it should be an actual mindgame. You should need to trick the Survivor into thinking you’re going for it when in reality you’re faking. Right now I just think it’s way too easy to hold M2 and then put the Survivor in a situation where you can just easily and effectively react to what they’re going to do without much thought.
As for the difficulty of POTD making it bad: I can understand where you’re coming from with this. The telegraphing is huge, and the aiming is clunky. I can understand why that might make someone feel like it’s too easy to dodge POTD. And to an extent, I agree. But try this: The Survivor may be able to react to a PH winding up the attack and made predictions accordingly, but they cannot react to the attack itself until you finally use it.
This may sound odd, but use the telegraphing to your advantage: The Survivor will try to move in a certain way to make your attack miss. Watch how they react to your telegraph, and try to figure out how they move. The attack is easy to avoid if you shoot at where they are. But even with all that telegraphing, it’s still entirely possible to shoot not where they are, but where they’re going to be. Even with that attack indicator, the actual shockwave appears almost immediately after the indicator appears, and in the majority of scenarios, the Survivors won’t have the time to react to the AoE highlighter.
That’s how Nurse and Huntress operate, is it not? Their telegraphing is insanely obvious, and Huntress has a huge rev. But despite these obvious tells, people who are experienced with these Killers can still land their shots accurately and consistently. Why? Because they predicted how the Survivor would react to their telegraph and reacted to that prediction accordingly. It’s the same thing with Pyramid Head, only harder. But as I said in my original post, just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s bad.
I know I’ve said it a million times already, but I feel the need to reiterate. Pyramid Head is a 115 Killer with a ranged attack that can go through walls. I feel like something that powerful should be difficult to use.
•A PH who constantly tries to use POTD isn’t going to be any more fun than a zoner.
I think this is objectively false. A PH who constantly tries to hit you with POTD will be constantly requiring you to move unpredictably, figure out where and when he’s going to shoot, how to bait the shot out, how to trick him into faking it—and sometimes this all takes place with an LoS blocker between the two of you. I think that’s infinitely more engaging than “Cool, his sword is in the ground, guess I either dodge the shot and he just M1’s or I don’t dodge and he shoots me.”
•Punishment of the Damned is too hard to aim.
Now I actually agree with this. I think the turning while having your sword in the ground is too slow, and the lack of a flick is cumbersome. But with that said, I don’t think aiming it is impossible. There are things you can do to improve your aiming capabilities.
-One thing that helps me a lot is what I call a “pre-flick.” Since you can’t flick while actually aiming, I tend to aim it one way as I’m getting my sword ready and then flicking back to the Survivor right before the lowered sensitivity kicks in. If you time it right, the Survivor won’t have enough time to react to the way your character turns, and they’ll step into the attack. Even if you struggle to time it right, it’s still incredibly useful when there is LoS blockage between the two of you, since the Survivor is completely incapable of reacting to your character model then.
-Another thing of note is that when the ability is ready to use, it doesn’t just drop from normal sensitivity to tank controls instantly. The sensitivity has this kind of “ramp-down” where it quickly but gradually moves from normal sens to aiming sens. This means you actually can do a kind of halfway-decent flick at the start of the aim, kind of like Billy’s saw. It’s mostly good for turning around tight corners rather than explicit aiming, but it’s still a very useful tool.
Above all else, though, I emphasize prediction over aiming. It’s not a good idea to place the shot while your steering is slow and flickless. Instead, you need to figure out how the Survivor will move when you telegraph your attack, and you need to figure out where to aim then. Put simply, you have to know where to aim your shot before you even aim it.
In summary: I think POTD is a lot deadlier than people give it credit for. The main issue is that a lot of people don’t really get it. I know it sounds like I’m saying “just predict lol” which... well, yes and no. I do think that learning how to predict Survivor movements and lead your shots as PH is incredibly difficult—one of the hardest things you can learn as Killer, in all honesty—and I understand that it can be very slow and frustrating. I feel like most people only think POTD sucks because they haven’t quite gotten it themselves, and the lack of results causes them to reach an early conclusion. And I get that. I had that problem many, many times trying to figure out how to effectively land shots with it. I had that same problem with Nurse and even Oni. But on the other hand, I do feel like people are trying to use POTD like it’s some kind of crack shot ability, like Deathslinger or something. It’s not. POTD is very much a prediction tool, and it should be used like one. It is a very difficult prediction tool, but even in its current state, I 100% think that the sweat and tears are worth it. It’s a misunderstood ability, but when someone understands it, POTD dominates chases.
I actually know a few people who are able to consistently land shots outside of zoning and animation-lock, including myself. But none of us have recorded ourselves demonstrating how powerful POTD can be—the only public footage any of us have is one friend’s match from a few months ago when he was still learning the Killer. But if you ask for proof for my admittedly bold claims, I can see about getting back to you.

The fact you compared PH,Spirit and Freddy/Deathslinger to the holy trinity makes me die laughing. First good joke In a while
Freddy: Father
Deathslinger: Son
Pyramid Head: The holy
Spirit: Spirit

You know what? People like you are never going to learn or listen. Just keep going with your own personal bias.
My not-so-holy self is leaving now.
You clearly don't care, and you just want to silence me. Congrats. I'm done.
Good riddance.

Nice cherry picking then.
I call out stuff on both sides. I just come across killers complaining way more on here. And no superiority complex, just an ex-bullying victim who now pushes back just as hard.
Right, right. Remind me how being a holier-than-thou champion of preaching on forums is “pushing back” against “bullying”?
If people saying mean words to you on the Internet because they dislike your opinions on a video game is the type of bullying you feel the need to take a stand against... that’s honestly sad. Take a stand against real bullies, friendo.

This little piggy is sick to death of being spoken to in the manner that you usually adopt.
Don't stereotype me, because you're going to be wrong way more often than not. I even gave you an out by offering to literally video myself admitting to using those perks as intended, and even said "I don't know how you play, therefore I won't judge you." hoping that you would do the same.
I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
You say I’m usually going to be wrong about stereotypes, but at the same time you’re satisfying my stereotype of Pig players: Sick with a raging superiority complex.
Sorry champ, but every single post from you is either condescending as all hell towards Killers from an obviously Survivor-biased perspective, or annoyingly preaching that everyone should be respectful when you’re not exactly a shining beacon of chivalry yourself.
I’ve had time to develop an opinion of you, and everything I’ve seen from you is something that fosters a lack of respect. Just saying.

And all I see from you is a snivelling little coward who has to rely on belittling people in order to silence them rather than actually try to promote any sort of meaningful change around here. Every interaction that I have had with you has not done anything to dissuade me from that.
I never tell anyone to be like me, all I say is that I don't want what has happened to me to happen to anyone else. I try to be reasonable, then people like you come along.
Awww, looks like this little piggy is angry!

Every post, every comment, every IDEA I have shared should have proven otherwise when it comes to me.
Or would you rather hear it directly from my mouth instead?
Lol, I’m going through your posts right now and all it is is just griping, whining, complaining, BITCHING that people aren’t being “civil and respectful” like you are.
I don’t see any civility and respect. All I see is a high horse.

Fat chance of you knowing me is certainly true. As far as I know, I've never played with you, so I can't say a thing about your gameplay.
All I ever ask for is that people show me the same courtesy and not go straight for the baseless accusations and insults.
See I’d believe you if this weren’t DBD. But in DBD, stereotypes ring truer than in any other medium I’ve ever come across.
Killers who run NOED are always bad. Deathslingers are always sweatier than a 300-pound middle schooler during a gym class fitness test. Bills always have some of the smoothest brains in the game. Survivors who run Soul Guard always love it when the Killer doesn’t have fun. 100% of the time.
And Survivors who would ever willingly run DS+UB are some of the biggest sweatlords, whiny as hell, and have very fragile egos. I have no inclination to think you’re the exception.

You mind NOT insulting me blindly and assuming I'm like the other people on these forums?
I only re-equip Decisive Strike after I have genuinely been tunnelled. And I do mean that I am the only one hooked for 2-3 hooks in a row.
You do not know me. Do not act like it.
Everything you said can be summed up in two words: “Fat chance.”

Equipping perks to deal with situations out of your control to counter the actions of the other side is STANDARD PRACTICE.
People are tunnelling me, I will equip DS. They move to slugging, add Unbreakable. By your logic I am now a toxic player for equipping perks to counter what I perceive to be a toxic playstyle. Never mind that I am literally using them as intended and that killers are playing directly into them.
Yeah, I’m sure it’s because all that ever happens is you get tunneled (pronounced “the Killer downed you more than once in a single match”) off the hook and hardcore slugged (pronounced “the Killer didn’t pick you up 0.2 seconds after downing you). I’m sure that’s the only reason you run a Perk combo that gives you 60 seconds of literal invincibility. Totally.
Meanwhile I can’t remember the last time I got hit by Decisive when I was actually tunneling or hadn’t already hooked someone else.

The community also thinks that just equipping certain perks in combination is toxic by merit of them just being together.
Never mind that there are people out there not abusing them to all hell.
And for the most part, the community is right in that regard. Your point?

I will try one more time. Data coallated across literally tens of millions of games shows Pig does fine. I admit she needs an addon pass... weird stuff in there like Ruleset #2 actually hurts her chances. It's just that since she's performing well and other Killers need addon passes more urgently, I'm not sure when we'll be able to get to that. It's definitely on my list though.
Tens of millions of games with DCs? Hook suicides? Bugs? Immense matchmaking and rank disparities? A player base where the average player is very bad at the game?
”Tens of millions of games” even though Pig’s play rate is lower than her place on everyone’s tier list except yours?

Not needed, she performs well statistically. She's definitely A-tier. Not S... but definitely A.
I’d roast you for saying something this egregiously false, but much like trying to convince you to make a change that’s actually good for the game, it’s just wasted effort.
