Ive always had frame rate issues on xbox. Couple tines a day i have to close tge gane down and reboot it to make it stop. And i swear almost everytime this happens tgeres a new daily available, but not everytime so it could be a coincedence

Yeah ive been saying all along its candyman. I dont understand why people put so much stock in Scott saying "its not Candyman, that would be stupid." Hes clearly stating an opinion. But yeah the mural matches pretty well and the 4 does look like honey

Vorhees would be the Ultimate Addition to Dead by Daylight. He's THE most iconic horror film character. Camp Crystal Lake would make for a fun map, and the chances of him ever being in it are so low at this point that him being added would just be Mindblowing.
Pyramid Head is another unlikely one. Silent Hill would make an incredible map, and it'd pave the way for future horror game characters making an appearance.
Pennywise would be pretty good. I wonder if hey'd have creepy red balloons around the map.
Never really watched Alien, but seems like an okay addition.
Candyman would be fine, too, though. Just least excited of all of these. He's not really iconic. And while his addition wouldn't be a bad thing, it's basically what's expected at this point. I'd say its like adding DQ Hero to Smash. "Cool, but yeah we figured this."

I think slugging during the match is no big problem. It could make sense if the killer run infectious fright to have the full potential of his power like oni or myers t3 or to prevent a flashlight-/palettesave or to counter ds. But itβs simply boring and a waste of time, if killer slug 15 min only to get 4k... this player donβt understand that 4k =/= win.
Now youre bringing the questiin of "whats a win" into this π
I agree though slugging the 3rd person to prevent the 4th person from escaping is KIND of lame, but the other side of that is youre passing up a lot of bps by not getting the 4k. Its not something I care about but i can see why some might.

Thantaphobia already does that. No reason to make it basekit
Very weakly.
Ive seen tourneys where it was a rule that injured survivors couldnt repair at all for tge first 3 gens and it seemed more fair. Of course hard tunneling and hard camping were against the rules to so idk

I just think people are putting to much stock in what Scott said. If he hadnt said that everyone would be convinced its candyman.

It would only be a HUGE deal to killers that slug and refuse to hook.
Ok, well I guess its a good thing youre not part of bhvrs team then cause thats simply not true and its already been dxplained over and over again why its not true. Try playing both sides at a high level and youll understand why its not true

The point I was trying to make is that Infectious Freight is only used by killers that intend to slug, usually constantly on killers that is easy to slug (spirit, huntress, nurse, oni, billy). It's free aura reading for the sole purpose to slug. Unbreakable, being the only reasonable counter, is a 1-time use.
Yeah but its not only used to slug. Its synergizes really well with bbq as between the two you know where everyone is and it helps counter flashlights so you know when theyre close. Unlike Unbreakable which is literally just about getting up off the ground which is EXTREMELY powerful. Trying to say that one should be buffed because the other exists is crazy talk since the two are not comparable.
Getting up off the ground an unlimited number of is a HUGE deal. Youre on a team, its not a 1v1. The devs gave you 3 perks to help if youre THAT concerned about it.

It appears that you were the dumb one in that situation.
Not that you know, it certainly didnt seem that way in game. He ran as soon as I kicked the pallet and used the same motion he uses to taunt killers with. What i usually see is survivors crouch and stay there for a moment, he was popping his ass up and quickly and bolted. But you know, you can make assumptions and throw insults if that makes you feel better π€·ββοΈ

everyone here knows that no mither means the dudes gettin tunneled out of the game, lets not be dishonest with ourselves now. better solutions are just plain unbreakable and for the people once you heal up
The counterplay to slugging or No Mither wasnt what we were talking about there. They were making an argument that Unbreakable should let you get up an unlimited number of times because infectious fright has an unlimited number of uses. Which is ridiculous
-
Shes only 110%, if you put a cool down on her teleports shed get looped to hell. She also has no direct control over her power. If no one ever triggered a trap she could never teleport. My point with that is she has INDIRECT control of her power, so adding a cool down to something you dont control directly would be over kill. And 10 traps is pretty standard.
If they made those changes hag would be pretty useless

To be fair, I am a survivor main and I don't play killer at all. As we all know there is a lot of survivors and killers complaining about the other side. So let's talk about certain problems of both sides.
Camping can be an opportunity for the survivors. When killer is camping a hooked survivor it gets really easy to repair the rest of gens and escape. Escape can be hard for a hooked survivor, but that's why we have decisive strike and borrowed time, right? Camping is not even a good thing for a killer. You're just staying next to the Hook, you're not chasing anybody and you gain extremly low bloodpoints.
Tunneling is probably the only one good killers "toxic" tactic. It gives killer the possibility to eliminate a survivor really fast. Once again, you can just use DS.
I am not gonna talk much about slugging. It's just pointless for a killer. You are basically refusing to gain bloodpoints for hooking someone. I am wondering if you can actually rank up doing that. It's not even that problematic for survivors. Not many people uses unbreakable, but you can just recover and then wait for someone to help you.
Alright, now let's talk about NOED.
NOED is the only one perk I am talking about, that needs rework. It's so annoying when killer didn't hooked any survivor before gens were repaired, but he kills almost entire team in endgame because of one perk. It's overpowered when survivors play solo queue, but when you play swf it can be totally useless. The point is that when I'm playing with friends we always cleanse every dull totems before last gen is done.
Alright, let's talk about decisive strike.
Yes, it's a good perk. No, it shouldn't be nerfed. It's a good counter for a lot of killers strats, especially tunneling and camping (survivors obviously consider them as toxic strats). It's amazing perk that gives survivors second chance. Killers can camp and tunnel people all the time, but survivors can use DS once per game. Seems fair to me.
Well, just so you understand, the reason killers slug is because it creates pressure. You said you never play killer so I understand why you dont get this right away, but its just a mathmatical fact that a killer doesnt have time to win 12 chases and get 12 hooks. If you manage to do that without slugging its not because youre a God tier killer, its because the survivors severly messed up and werent doung gens.
With that in mind killers have to create pressure on the survivors to get/keep them off gens. If you have the opportunity to slug 1 survivor and then immediately chase another thats 2 survivors not doing gens. If another survivor comes to pick the slug up, thats 3 not doing gens. Anytime you have 3 people not doing gens that extends the game out and you have time to capitalize on mistakes and get your hooks.
My recommendation is people should play both sides, it will not only help you understand things like this, but it will make you better as well playing the side you prefer.

Okay, Camping Gens is such a stupid term.
I get camping hooks and like...but....
Wow, my mind is blank at that stupid statement.
Yeah i was literally just patrolling the decently close 3 gens they left me on haddonfield. I caught that guy in a corner trying to shake off the crows that had formed over his head π
-
I love for the people, the person using it becomes slugged pretty quick and the person that was already down is back there in about 10 secs. Its 2 slugs for the price of one π
Outside of some very niche situations its a detriment not a help to survivors
-
I agree something needs to change with them, but i see them so rarely i doubt its a problem, on console anyway
-
If everyone started doing that killers would start running iron maiden. It counters head on pretty well
-
I agree its broken as is, however overcharge is pretty useless anyway. Not completely useless just fairly useless.
-
I used to, takes practice. Its really rare i miss it now
-
On the otherhand, as a r1 killer its nice not facing hit squads every other match. Facing the occasional purple or rainbow squad is kind of relaxing not gonna lie

Lot of times like while farming, its meant as a sort of verification. In situations like you described for example, its not uncommon for the survivor who ISNT on my shoulders to give a little t bag BEFORE the pallet is dropped almost as if to double check that theres an understanding. I'll give a nod back, once again...not as a taunt, but to convey a meaning.
Im guessing thats what the David was doing. He was seeing if you were infact being peaceful and wanted to farm more. Checking on that understanding.

Of course. π
In case you didn't know the meaning of the perks...
Infectious Freight = Slugging Perk
Unbreakable = Anti-Slugging Perk
Infectious isnt a slugging perk. Its an aura reading perk. Like Kindred. Which is not a one time use.
And no mither lets you get up as many times as you want

I guess you've never run into the situation that you definitely should have run into by now. But a hooked or downed survivor DOES NOT MEAN that somebody is coming to help them. Hell, a downed survivor even more so than a hooked survivor is likely got to end up with people keeping at gens instead of coming to the rescue because you need to wait for them to 99% themselves and want to wait to make sure the killer isn't camping them.
If you see somebody else after you down a survivor, it's definitely the smart move to chase them instead of hooking, but you are not disabling 3 survivors by doing so. The chances you got somebody to get off a gen at high ranks is actually rather low. They tend to wait more often than not for downed survivors if they're on a gen.
If they dont go help the slug, so what? That slugs not on a gen. As long as you dont slug with no idea at all where someone else is its a smart play. If you can slug someone and immediately chase someone else thats 2 survivors being pressured AT LEAST. Thats the point.
-
Pop, bbq, m&a, nurses calling. For add ons i used the one that helps you walk faster while stalking and something else i cant remember. And I slug anytime i see someone after downing someone else. Infectious would be great too once i have tier 3
-
I really like thrilling tremors. I only run bbq for points
-
Earlier today I was playing Fred. Someone dc'd 30 secs into the match. I played like normal till there were 2 survivors. I decided to let them farm a little so I carried dsvid to a pallet and ket feng stun me for the drop. David decided to tbag. That was dumb. He died, feng left.

Yeah I imagined they would just hear a click once they go in. And yeah I know, I didn't wanna day trap more than one cause you know the survivors will complain heavily. But you're right. Its should be more than one
25% SEEMS reasonable, 3 in 4 chance of not getting in a trapped one and i cant speak for everyone but i rarely get inlockers
-
@EntityDrudge said:
Idk just spitballing here, but what if they gave him map add ons?
Like trap 1 chest on the map? Random chest injures a survivor when triggered.
Trap one locker? One random locker locks when survivor goes in it.
These could spawn in like this or he could pick the chests or locker himself
Trapping a locker would be hilarious but the chances of someone going in that one particular locker would be to small and random to waste using an add on for.
Now 25% of lockers would be worth it, and awesome

Hello everybody,
I am studying psychology in Berlin and am currently writing my final thesis, the subject being Dead by Daylight. I aim to understand whether - and to which degree - certain personality factors (such as extraversion, and agreeableness), gender and the tendency to show altruistic behaviour influence a player's role preference; namely, killer or survivor, as well as the choice of character.
Participation is completely voluntary and anonymous, and you have the opportunity to enter a draft for one of two 20$ steam gift cards.
As an enthusiastic player of this game myself since 2016, this is a project very close to my heart. I would immensely appreciate your participation.
Warm regards,

Hell, I'm almost convinced that my gameplay isn't nearly as much of a factor in game outcomes as survivor greed and screwups.
Had a game earlier with Wraith where I got a 2k. I never decloaked the entire match. Think about that one.
How do you get a 2k without ever decloaking?

@Lavos99z said:
Has anyone else just not had fun playing killer? You get gen rushed by toxic people who sit there going from pallet to pallet, taunting you with health kits or flashlights, and occasionally they get lucky stuns. Really bummer. Sucks also when you keep getting games like that, and derank like crazy. Now, I'm not even by any means a bad killer, I've been rank 8 and I think that's a fair spot for me. But since rank reset I've gotten down to 14 and some of those games have been disconnects. The aforementioned reasons are why. Why is it that people have to play like toxic scumlords instead of letting everyone involved enjoy themselves? Is it written somewhere that everyone has to be a piece of sh*t in game lately? I don't understand. I am asking for help to get me to understand why people must be toxic and pretend they're not. What does one gain from being sh*tty to another person in a game? Do they have pent-up aggression that they take out in people in-game? Are they that sad? Help me understand.
Idk man, all the stuff you described it kind of sounds like theyre just playing the game. I love pallet campers, 90% of them are super easy to mind game, and so what if they taunt you, give them a little smack while theyre on the hook π€·ββοΈ

@Bovinity said:
It's the same for survivors. If you hide effectively, do the gens and get out...you get nothing. Hell, if the killer was egregiously bad, you may even depip for doing 5 gens and escaping.
The ranking system seems to encourage you to intentionally make "mistakes" if you're doing too well. It's rather goofy.
That always rubbed me wrong, immersed objective focused players are discouraged from playing that wat

With leatherface if you use your chainsaw a lot youre not getting m1 hits so you dont get as many pip points. Honestly its probably a good thing, you dont want to be r1 facing a swf hit squad with leatherface

New argument: forever freddy is op. Theres no getting gud against a good freddy playing forever freddy. He can end chases quickly while having map pressure and crazy slowdown on gens. Its a guranteed 4k unless your in a tryhard swf or the killers a rank 20
Since they nerfed ruin and nerfed his add ons, forever freddy isnt a thing anymore, i beat freddy all tge time, you have to wake yourself up. Thats all

I'm a very average survivor that sucks at looping, but I can't complain because I have to work on my craft to get better. So I can be a bit passionate when seeing the same topics, my fault.

I've seen swf that gen rush. There rare tho not everygame like people on the fourms claim
That i agree with. I do think the problem is a little overstated. But those games highlight the flaws in the underlying mechanics that even solos can "exploit" (i put that in quotes because i dont mean theyre doing anything wrong) if they decide to. All you need is 4 people working on seperate gens at all times and the overall match will fly.

We can't pretend because that's not true. What I said is fact. Killers camp, survivors do gens, then killers complain about gen rushing. I've gotten quite a few comments about that, sadly. Now, if it's not an occasional occurrence, that's ok, you can't play a clean game all the time, I sure don't. From what it sounds like you're saying is that killers are being gen rushed quite often, even if they're doing everything right, which I would say that you are very wrong as the days are long. If that's the case, then you are a terrible killer, bottom line. But you won't admit that. As a solo survivor, I don't see many gen rushing games and when I do, the killer is usually camping. If you're doing SWF, don't include what happens in those games with solo games, because there's a difference between the two.
Youre not hearing me. Yes, if you face camp you can be gen rushed (and probably deserve it). However if you dont camp you can also be gen rushed. Both things are true. Thats my point
