people that wanna play with their friends is not a problem. We can play together in every online game but apparently it's a problem in DBD.
Obviously its a problem in dbd, information isnt deliberately hidden in other games like in dbd. SWF is worth like 4 extra info perks per person.
A better example would be people playing among us and going yeah the imposter is blue, my friend was on discord and he told me. Obviously thats unfair because they werent supposed to have that information.
How long have you played this game Nathan? Can you not grasp something this basic?

What .... what???
- Whenever the Killer
- is within 36 metres of your location, Spine Chill activates, lighting up its icon.
- If there is a Terror Radius present, Spine Chill will reveal its intensity using its icon.
Its literally overpowered against stealth killers now. No need to have a line of sight, no need to even be looking at your direction. I ######### you not they can be moonwalking backwards towards you looking literally 180 degrees away from you and that ######### will still light up like a christmas tree.

Honestly, I appreciate every Killer who is not just running 4 Slowdowns. And if it is a Build with 4 strong Perks with strong Add Ons on top, I dont mind it, everything is better than seeing Call of Brine, Pain Resonance, Thanatophobia and Deadlock on each Killer.
No need for slowdowns when games end at 5 gens 😎 No but seriously i stopped running a single slow down and gen speeds still feel fine.

1st of all tunneling and camping are one of the best strategies that a killer can pull out if he knows how to do it properly. In my case I didn't felt a single time the need to tunnel and camp in that time when the old ruin was still alive, matches were a lot more fun and people who were good actually deserved to escape, not to mention that the toxicity despite it was present it was once every 20 matches, different matter if now, even you try to play "fair"...
Yeah its a crutch because its so effective ... Dont need to be good at chase, pressure, mindgame, whatever, if you bank on just downing the first survivor you find and hope the rest of the team throws themselves at you or make mistakes.
Does it product results? Sure. Is it the strongest arsenal in the killers kit? Undoubtedly. Have you become a worse killer than you were before because you kept relying on a strong tactic and ignored the rest for so long? Dunno, i dont know you, i obviously cant say. But i would bet yeah, your reliance on crutches is why you are struggling now. You are getting 'sweatfests' everytime because you dont belong in your mmr.
-
Dh still better than all other exhaustion perks against nurse and blight. Not kidding.
-
End game is a lawless land son.
-
Botany/Lightweight/Distortion/Lithe is a pretty strong one imo

I absolutely love it. Definitely one of my favorite perks.
I use it with sprint burst to help me misdirect better.
I uses it in the corn with blight and he lost me multiple times
I mean its the corn, they might lose you if they blink at the wrong time

You're missing the fact that you tap the gen and either stand there doing nothing for X amount of time until a survivor goes down to avoid eruption (which could be in the next 10 seconds or well after a minute resulting in a waste of time), or a survivor goes down while you're working on the gen, resulting in you being incapacitated for 26 seconds while the generator loses 16% progress and starts regressing.
Yeah, killer has to 'kick the gen' but it's almost like PR+DMS, without the counter of letting go of the gen when the survivor gets hooked, because you can't tell when a survivor is going to go down
After a bit more thought eruption seems alright. Cant go around kicking multiple gens quickly because it has a 30 second CD and it doesnt have a frontload of regression meaning its a really risky perk to bring. Kick a gen at 90% and the survivor will just hop back on and finish it before you find and down some one.
Its a really good perk, i agree but its really risky imo.

Yeah from what i read eruption seems pretty strong you are right. The other 2 are alright but if a killer can get into the flow of kicking multiple generators and then downing some one quickly it could be pretty effective.
-
Unless the killer is standing right there, seems like this build can be countered by tapping it for a second and getting the check over with?
Am i missing something? This doesnt seem good. All 3 of those perks seem worse than a single thana?
-
I didnt, its hard to tell in game unless they are doing something stupid like all boil over/breakout/sabo build

This sounds like a cry for help. Blind twice if someone is forcing you to type these things 👀
I mean at least in my games it feels like survivors are figuring out the new meta. The almost slaughterhouse feeling of the patch day is gone. Though i agree that they need to revert some buffs on slowdown perks, they already did a good job of slowing games down a little.

They just showed us that 56% of the player base is soloQ survivors, and people on the forums don't understand why survivor mains are quitting. We were told this patch was going to make camping and tunneling harder, so that soloQ survivors felt like they had tools to deal with it. What it ended up doing was not touching camping at all, and actually making tunneling something you should do. On top of making killers stronger and nerfing your best tools to deal with tunneling.
Anyone telling you to calm down and stop whining, is not doing you any favors, they are trying to shut you up.
Holy ######### 44% of survivors are SWF?? I assumed much, much lower what the actual #########?

really? then why back in the 2019 i could afford to play chill and have fun while now it's a sweatfest evey match done? just an example...
Thats a you problem, im vibing almost all games. Maybe you started relying on some crutches like tunneling/camping and became worse at the game. I dont know you, i cant say
-
Lots of assumptions there. Game is as easy as its ever been for killers. It takes skill to lose a match atm. Lots of people still tunneling & camping. Because a good chunk of player base only knows that kind of playstyle. Its easy and it gets some results. Even if its boring af and by all accounts there is no need to do it in this meta. I am a pure killer main but my opinion of the average killer in this game is pretty damn low.
-
Dh was better than 90% of killer powers. Survivor was unironically the power role. Game is more akin to what it should be now.

survivor meta is not playing the game and waiting for hotfix of this disastrous one-sided patch
It was meant to be 1 sided. In their own words, killer was too weak
-
Botany knowledge / Lightweight / Borrowed Time / Lither or SB
Bring Medkits and 1 person brings Coh.
You heal in like 5 seconds, lightweight helps with chases and nobody respects BT. Its also worthwhile for 1 person to bring Sabo because it shows the white hooks now and it can be amazing vs killers running PR/Floods since they go out of their way to use those.

And how much did you play Killer before this patch? Just curious what kind of MMR you might be going against. (assuming they didn't break MMR again)
My MMR probably wasnt that high. I am an average nurse at best and games before the patch were much closer than this. Being generous, i probably used to lose 1 in 4 games with her. After patch most of my survivors had around 10-11 prestige if thats any indication.
-
You spelled out why dead hard was op then brazenly asked for a repeat. I mean, damn dude, total chad move.
-
All the find a hex perks for survivors
-
Botany, WGLF, Kindred, Lithe. And 1 person brings Coh.
-
It kiiiinda works on nurse still. For some reason i feel like it should be pretty much the same as old DH in function because you just wait for nurse to tp on you and then you press e but im getting a lot of people that i guess press it early and i get a down anyway?
Feels like its not as generous in its timing as old DH. 0.5 sec parry window means you gotta either predict or react well.

Pretty much. Trickster always gives me issues on console. A few rare times I'm able to duck behind objects but his knives just come at me too fast.
Bubba players are genuinely just awful and yes 90% of the time facecamp. Even when I get a bubba who doesn't facecamp, I'm grateful but hate his super long charge chainsaw sprint.
Blight always give me grief to, I find it hard to counter a decent blight as there's too fast. Usually I'm always against an insane killer. Had a blight today though which wasn't that good and 3 of us survived so that was a nice change!
I feel like bubba is supposed to camp, same as hag.
-
Actually hard question. Anyway Nurse, bubba and Nurse
-
Would those 2 be good on spirit? I've been meaning to give her a go

Yeah the sarcasm elluded me.

If the nurse is too strong, how do you explain that many good survivors were already able to escape her before the update without using DH? 😶
Could it be that if 1 person didnt bring dh the other 2-3 did? And even if they didnt bring it could it be that the nurse would have lost time by respecting it just in case?
Naaaah its an inexplicable mystery, i must have been wrong. Thank you for your profound insight little kitten.
-
Update: Billy fell into a tub of butter and now cant collide with objects and just slides off of anything he collides with.

I mean it makes sense- if you get full stacks of thana you can just wait out someone’s death as it takes 120 seconds to die on first hook and 110 seconds to do one gen.
I dont use thana at all but from what i can see, even when im dominating games, players very very very rarely just stay injured. I understand thats not really viable vs plague and legion but even then if the killer is camping, isnt it easy to reset?
I can see the gen speeds being really boring with thana and pentimento though on a killer like plague of legion. I wouldnt want to just press m1 for 2 mins yeah.

I mean considering every single game besides one who was a nice streamer, atleast one of the survivors has been tunnelled and camped out of a match.
Sorry to hear. Kinda dissapointed in killers. Games are so easy atm that there is no reason not to take it easy and chill, even when we are going for a 4k.
-
Thats pretty bad, this is the 3rd day of the patch and i havent lost yet.
Seriously though, now that DH is effectively gone, blight and nurse need a look over. Cant say much about blight but nurse is too strong imo.
Edit: I just lost and it was because survivors used the new perks pretty well. I was going out of my way to hook people on scourge hooks because im running both PR and floods and somebody brought sabo, it was a pretty great match <3

I'm not that petty. My new way of trying to win games is just get a item right away from a chest find the killer and put it down and ask for mercy. So far has only worked with blights and myers and bubbas tho. Everyone else hates me :(
Blatant bribery, you are a real go getter

Right, were those games with Trapper, Ghost Face, or Onryo, or were they with Twins, Blight, Nurse with meta builds?
nurse, probably not exactly meta. Lethal, BBQ, Floods; PR but pretty fun neverthless. Does that change anything?
-
Buddy playing together is 1- pretty hard to do when you are playing solo. 2- actively detrimental now that there is no safety net like DH.
When survivors try to play altruistic or try to take hits for each other or whatever like they did before the patch, they go down miserably now. Its time to split up and gen jockey, time for altruism is over.

If you let them go ur mmr will drop and you wont never fight your caliber survs
I won something like 30 times in a row. You start feeling a little bit bad after a while.
-
My dude i havent lost a game so far after the patch. Its not ok. I started taking it easy on survivors and letting them go because i am genuinely starting to feel bad.
-
Yeah they overdid it just a tad imo. Its insane how hard it is to lose as killer rn. I'm not even bringing any add ons and im always up against 3-4 items + offerings. Doesnt matter. It became kinda baffling.
-
@BenZ0 said:

It really wasnt, you had a very simple counter to it... just let go off the gen before the hook, you even see the aura of the hooked survivor before the hook animation is done. And it is still there? It still works just the same only the killer now has to pressure you off the gen which isnt a big deal with Blight, Nurse, Artist, Oni etc
Besides that, taking away the most basic information out of that perk is kinda weird since literally any other anti gen perk does the exact same so ye.
In theory? Sure. In practice, the average skill level of survivors isnt good enough to not mindlessly hold m1 and it was overwhelming for vast majority of survivors. I agree that you can still probably make it work but as killers we have so many good options now that i dont think i can even spare the perk slot for both of those.
-
PR + DMS was way too good. I understand why it got the nerf hammer
-
Yeah people keep telling solo q experience is miserable. I believe them.
-
Have seen it used like a very long BT but honestly it seemed kinda underwhelming.
Some survivors went out of their way to use it offensively so i went out of my way to see if using it offensively was viable. Considering i caught up to them and downed them in like 5 seconds afterwards, im guessing its not a great anti tunnel tool. At least vs nurse.
-
Got it for the nurse and blight skins, both were pretty dope imo.
