Amending a perk because they don't know how to fix a bug...
Poor behaviour from BHVR.
Which perk would that be? <3

MoM will be amazing on troll squads. Probably not great on usual play

Talk about a knee-jerk reaction and hasty decision.
Thana was mostly used by Plague and Legion with full slowdown builds to painfully make gens take forever.
Nerf it, making it bad for every other killer apart from the only two killers it was a problem on from the begining.
After the nerf, forever plague and forever legion will still be a thing. Am I missing something? Just what is the though process with this nerf?
You are missing the fact that people can heal and cleanse. You are welcome honey buns <3

Anyone who says the thana nerf is a good thing is clearly survivor biased. That perk is as good as dead
It was already dead on all killers except those 2. Please dont be so dramatic

I thought we left this bigoted notion that left handed people are of the devil in the middle ages.
Shame on you OP, blatantly saying that all left handed people are evil. I for one know at least one (1!) left handed person that isnt evil.

BTW, try DMS on Oni for a fun romp. Just get your power and zoom around the map and see those gens get engulfed by The Entity. Its magical.
Im thinking PR/DMS/Starstruck/floods nurse
Nah too boring PR/DMS/Lethal/floods on nurse
Easy and strong automatic gen defense coupled with pretty strong aura reading and very fast starts.
I usually go for 12 hooks and usually get at least 6-8 even when i lose. So coupling that with 43 seconds of gen defense per hook seems .... nice <3

Old CD was the whole duration. We can assume it’s going to be the new duration (30s).
Pretty good, that means getting fast downs will be pretty punishing for survivors since you can chain them easier

I mean if you physically move to a gen to block it dms is basically doing nothing because that gen was not going to get done anyway.
Dms +PR was great because it was basically automatic and you didnt have to do anything.
Dms will continue being a very hard to balance perk because it will elevate to S tier any perk that automatically interrupts gens on hook, even if that perk has 0 regression.
And i do mean that literally, i would still run DMS+PR if the combo still worked with 0% regression PR

I already hated that "DONT CLEANSE" mantra before the update, bc. it kills inexperienced players that struggle with looping more than it helps.
But after the patch, that mantra is even more idiotic:
- M1 killer game play got buffed
- DH nerfed heavily, so staying injured is way more dangerous
- Thana buffed twice (numbers increased and more effect bc of longer gen times)
So for christ sake, use the fountains! Just don't be stupid in doing so.
Just yesterday I had a game against Plague that we could have won, but a claudette didn't have enough game sense to do the right decisions. Following situation:
Eerie, 3vs1, 1 gen left, although in a 3 gen szenario (yeah I know, "don't 3 gen yourself", but in soloQ you are happy if ANY gen gets done!). All of us broken, with two cleanse fountains left, near/in the 3-gen. So the plague was dominating us hard, we couldn't really do a gen, and couldn't easily cleanse either. Meg gets hooked (first time), which gives me an opportunity to use one of the fountains. Plague comes back, pukes at me, and returns bc meg got unhooked by Claud. Both run away from the 3 gen, Plague follows, I use the last fountain. Sure plague now gets corrupt purge, but she looses all her fountains, so we can all heal up again. Meg is downed and hooked FAR FAR away from the 3 gen.
Now I thought, ok, claud should be there as well, can heal easily since all the fountains are back there, and plague cannot camp bc its far away from her 3-gen. So I go on the one gen that already had some progress. But claud did not bother to unhook. In fact, I don't know if she did ANYTHING all that time (wasn't hooked at all). So I had to leave my hook to try and get Meg off, but it was too far away, so I didn't get to her in time, and she died second hook. Meanwhile Claud was found near the Shack (basement there), hooked and face camped (guess because she was just hiding). I didn't get out either, gates were too close together, so had to search for the hatch, and plague was a second faster.
I don't know what the Claud player was thinking there, but not using the fountains far away from the 3-gen and leaving Meg to die was certainly the wrong decision. She had all the info she needed, Plague chasing Meg, me doing the last fountain near a gen, to do the right thing. Like I said, Plague couldn't afford to camp, she was bound to return to the 3-gen. I had cleansed on the last fountain far away at the 3-gen so I would be far away. Claud was nearest and safest, could have easily unhooked and both of them cleansing. And even IF plague was camping, she wasn't hooked at all!
To summarize, NO-CLEANSE might be a strategy for a good team where all can loop reasonably well. But it fails as a general advice imo, esp. with the recent gameplay changes, and with players that are not good (enough) at looping. Cleansing is part of the game against plague. Use it with caution instead of actively refusing to do so.
Coordinating a cleanse is also a great strategy but dont cleanse is a way better way than what we usually get, cleansing like the fountain insulted your mother. That quickly spirals out of control
-
Dont cleanse and she is an m1 killer. Also dont 3 gen yourself.

Because nobody is running DS.

I mean, everyone should've been running DS, but it only had a 50% pick rate and it was definitely better than OTR.
The really good thing about DS was it worked whether you equipped it or not.
Ironically now that its been nerfed it actually works because people actually pick you up lol.

I don't even have hearing issues and I'm almost never able to hear footsteps in this game. I can hear my own footsteps as killer, but I can't hear survivors'. Nor are survivors trackable by their injured noises; once I lose sight of a survivor, I may hear about one second of injured noises and then it will disappear and I never hear it again. I either track visually via blood and scratch marks or I don't track survivors. TV speakers, headphones, it doesn't matter, the directional audio is awful. The sound occlusion is at least partially to blame.
Unfortunately, I don't know how they could add visual cues for the audio that wouldn't delete stealth completely.
Yeah thats a real concern. I use the new spine chill for exactly the same way. Dont have to see the killer, hell i dont even know where they are. I just have a perfect instrument that tells me how close they are to me and thats enough to keep my distance, specially if they cant see me in the first place.

OTR is good, for sure.
I have not had an issue with it at all, especially if you hit right off the hook. You don't really get far and your Endurance is gone with the dumb Deep Wound graphic making it hard to see.
Besides, not everyone runs OTR. People certainly don't run BT.
Every one should be running OTR, its pretty great. There are times when i hook somebody, get into 2 seperate chases, see the first guy i hooked, attack them and proc OTR, it always amazes me how long it lasts. Probably one of the strongest defensive tools they gave to survivors so far.
Also i hope they make an exception for base BT to stack with endurance effects so hard tunneling isnt that viable.

Then do so.
It's still FAR easier to tunnel than before.
OTR is miles better than old BT, DS is bad and DH is a hollow shell of its former self (thank god)
Imo its easier to tunnel off the hook but not hard tunneling is harder because an effect that protects you for 1 minute is pretty damn nice, specially with DS.

I watched plenty of killer mains afk or throw games. Don't act like you are different from any of them. Just keep complaining on the forums though and the devs will give you what you want.
Oh yes 1 in 20 to 1 in every other game is the same isnt it bud
How hard is it for you to admit survivors are throwing a massive tantrum? Very. I know im talking to a wall. I hope survivors enjoy their tantrum and when they are done we can have some actual games.
Respectfully <3

@Pulsar said:

It's easier than before.
New OTR doesn't come close surpassing to old DH, plus old pallet breaking speed or old speed boost on hit plus old DS.
I think the comparision would be between DH/BT/DS and SB/OTR/DS or even DH/OTR/DS
Comparing DH to OTR seems pointless. If anything we should probably compare OTR to BT
-
@Biscuits said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3105633#Comment_3105633
Because in the same vein they nerfed the tools that actual allowed you to avoid tunneling. The game got easier to tunnel and camp, there is no arguing otherwise.
Is it harder or easier to tunnel if you equip both OTR and DS? It feels like it should be harder.

Well no matter what you do you can't completely stop it, you just gotta make it a less good strat than actively chasing. Problem is that currently, aside from high mobility killers, there's not much reason to leave the hook especially on larger maps.
The reason is to stop gens

Same could be said about killers complaining and getting buffs every patch.
Unless you see a big portion of killers just stand afk at a corner, its not even remotely the same thing.
People are throwing tantrums in game. It would be sad but when its this widespread its still sad but also annoying. Its like being stuck in a plane with a crying baby. Sure its sad that there is a crying baby in your vicinity but the baby just wont shut up and you are stuck in the same place with it.
Respectfully.
-
I dont wanna be rude, lets just say a big portion of survivor player base is throwing a tantrum and its spreading thanks to a negative spiral
-
So far the post patch experience has been.
Day 1- The great culling, basically impossible to lose a game as killer.
Day 2-4 Pretty easy again, feels almost unfair
Day 5-6-7 Nvm survivors adapted and are putting up a good match, game is pretty enjoyable though a few people just dc
Day 8-now Dear lord why is there always a baby that suicides on hook on what would otherwise be a pretty good match.
Its an epidemic, survivors were infected with acting like little babies virus
Its terminal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
You can have stackable effects. Healing speed, vaulting speed, just speed, repair speed, those are all effects you can stack <3
You cant have multiple endurance effects because that was deemed too strong. I think at least the base BT should stack, but oh well...

taking the hits for friends are generally waste of time unless there is something important.
If they are being tunneled, if they are on dead hook, if you have a medkit, if you have no hook states yet, etc etc.
I mean sure usually when i see people that just offer free hits at the start of the game when every body is on equal footing, im pretty confused as well but you can for sure do it for the whole teams benefit.
-
Also survivors have to heal, have to take hits for each other, have to pick other survivors up, have to save some one on the hook, have to coordinate without voice communication (hahaha, no) and have to be efficient and have at least 1 person on gens at all times.
There are many things survivors have to do if they want to win.
-
lol, if killer isnt for you how about you play survivor instead : P

Legit question: DO people still run pop after the nerf? I took it off nearly all of my builds. Not a fan of a perk that doesn't have a flat rate to it. Much happier with call of brine
PR is like 13 seconds regression now, works automatically and hits the gen with most progress.
Imo even as nerfed as it is, still basically the best regression perk.
But i can see something like CoB, Pop, Overcharge being pretty oppressive in certain situations if you can defend some gens well.

The range addons increase the range only slightly, additionally it takes longer to charge them. The addons aren't as good as people think for the chase. The point is that it lets her traverse the map better, which plenty of other killers can do better than she can even with the addons.
Even if we are (massively) downplaying how good the range add ons are during chase, surely you understand that traversing the map faster helps incredibly with ''chase to gen speed ratio''.
And im going to be perfectly honest with you chief, ''plenty of other killers can do better than she can even with the addons'' is not even a remotely good argument because none of those killers can end chases as fast as nurse.
And she doesnt need to be the greatest at everything. Even without the add ons she is well above average at map traversal. She is even the strongest at it in vertical maps. She doesnt need to be one of the best at that aspect as well.
There is no reason not to nuke the add ons. By your reasoning alone they are too strong.
I know you might be attached to them, lots of nurse mains are. But they are way too strong and every one who can look at it objectively can see that. And frankly, the nurse doesnt need that much of a crutch..
Coming from a fellow nurse main.
-
@Reinami said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3102539#Comment_3102539
The addons aren't the cause of the problem though. Nurse has been nerfed pretty much every single time since her inception. I don't know if she has ever received a buff.
Well i mean, its a good thing that she got nerfed than since she is still the strongest killer in game.
And by your definition the add ons are a problem since you know, the problem is 'chase to gen speed ratio' and by making chases easier and making chases come sooner by traveling further with each blink you demolish that ratio.
By your definition they are a big problem.
-
@Reinami said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/338102/otz-video-about-the-nurse-opinions
One of the few times i disagree with him. As a nurse main, the addons are not what make her strong. It's the fact that her power is able to tilt the gen speed to chase ratio in her favor.
You understand that her add ons just tilts that way further right?

No doubt they are weaker against SWF but that’s just the nature of snowball killers. I see no issue with making nurse one since her power is already stronger than plague and oni’s despite not need any prerequisites to use. It only makes sense that the strongest power needs to charge up in some way
If you see no issue with making her terrible against competent teams, thats on you buddy
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
@Phasmamain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3102471#Comment_3102471
sooner or later Oni will get a hit whether it be from unsafe pallets, bloodlust or changing chases using Moniter. Plague can start with up to 3 fountains and always has at least 1. Not to mention everyone being broken is a huge advantage for exploiting altruism and snowballing regardless of if you have red puke or not
Both are considered high A tier which is actually very balanced imo
Yes sooner or later Oni will get their power, but until then they are a basic m1 killer and against competent teams, thats just not good enough imo.
And sure if you start Plague with 3 fountains she can do some work but we are discussing killers that dont have easy access to their power so assuming otherwise is pointless. And for sure there are some benefits to every one being injured but that alone is pretty weak since you know, legion is still a pretty weak killer.
They both have pretty good powers and vs solo q i agree that they are plenty strong, but they are designed with such flaws that imo they stand little chance vs competent teams. Good solo q stompers both but imo they lack what makes top killers strong.
-
@Phasmamain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3102213#Comment_3102213
Are you implying that Oni and plague aren’t strong?
Compared to top tier killers? Yes there is a chasm between them. Any competent swf could dismantle an Oni any day by playing it super safe at the start and denying that first hit for as long as possible. And Plague when denied her power is a basic m1 killer.
Both of those killers will never be even close to nurse/blight/spirit. They are both imo, solo q stompers and thats about it.
They are plenty strong when compared to the average killer though!
-
Do it, it would be hilarious.
I'm 100% behind you op

Iri is probably fine because you only get 1 chance. As some one who needs 10 to down some one, i wouldnt use it. Probably pretty devastating on some one that can pretty reliably hit their shots though.

No they don't. They can just stop playing the game. Like many survivor players already, which can be seen in the long killer queue times. I am sure you enjoy those.
Buddy im not going to lie to you, i enjoy the game immensely compared to before the patch.
I can not put into words how good it feels not to care about dead hard in a game. To just ... hit somebody when you are on top of them? Simply Divine.
For that alone i wouldnt care if the queu times were 10 minutes which they are not. I'm going to be perfectly honest with you. I care not one bit about queu times or anything and for that im genuinely sorry.

He Plays Killer Respectfully I.E. He doesn't Facecamp Or Tunnel unless prompted by the survivors themselves. The point to the post is.. Should Killers HAVE to play a perfect game to get a 4k? or is that asking too much.. From the sounds of it.. The best response I got is "killers just need a cheap way to play to get 4ks"
I mean if he plays respectfully he is by definition not playing perfectly. But even then no, you can get stomped whole game and snowball at the end still. I guess really depends on the killer though. When playing blight/nurse vs the average survivors, not even close to necesary

Thana by itself is useless
I mean yeah, legion is a weak killer. He at least needs more help from slowdowns. Dunno about plague though. Havent played her much and havent played much against her.
