Maybe we should remove hatch. It causes a lot of problems nowadays.
Lore wise it would mean the Entity has gotten wise to the survivors using it and closes it up for good.
Gameplay wise Survivor frustrations would go through the roof.

i want this too BUT they would have to limit how much you could earn per week, otherwise people would mass sell and prestige a new killer literally within an hour of release
People alraedy do that anyways with new Chapters.
Save up 1 million BP, save up the dailies, profit.
-
There are hundreds of stuff I would be happy to just resell for more BP.
I think I have at least 2 million worth of BP just in my killers. Sitting there not being burnt.
-
40-60 ping is not bad though?
That's like above average ping.
-
I know right? This halloween's event just feels very... Depressing.
Like the Entity forgot it's Halloween and rushed to the gas station to buy everyone cheap presents.
Very disappointing.

Monitor does nothing for you against sleeping survivors. I use to use it on OG Freddy, but switched it off with the rework.
Yeah I figured, I am still kinda stuck to OG Freddy's way of thinking. I always think to myself I need Monitor and Abuse.
I'll go switch it out with something else next game. Once again, thank you for the advice.

I read your post, pls stop assuming stuff.
Please stop deluding yourself with nonsense that everybody is having fun all the time or should. Your pity suicide, doesn't help the person to get better. PvP games don't work that way.
I would feel totally offended by some pity kill due someone basicly sayin you suck that hard here take this as compensation.
You assume too much, OoO is a strategic mindgame, the killer can decide to only run after the Obsession or ignore it. Assuming that the Obsession is the best looper is stupid you should think that all 4 are equally skilled.
I am sorry but i dont see the diffrence between a killer chasing one person for the entire game and well chasing one person for the entire game.
OoO was already nerfed with undetectable so nothing further required.
So other killers have to suffer because they don't have Undetectable? And of course I'll assume that, OoO users tend to be loopers. People who are confident enough to have their auras revealed the whole game is confident enough to chase the killer around for ages. I always make sure I gauge whether or not a player is competent in game, and always go for the weaker ones if I can or try and rush kill some of the stronger ones.
And OoO is as much of a mindgame as Spirit waiting on the pallet for you to come towards her. If the killer ignores the OoO, then that user can tell the others in his party whether or not the killer is chasing them or trying to do a mindgame. If the killer chases the OoO, then he will most likely waste his time.
How is any of this fun? Have you personally gone against one of these groups yourself or have you only been playing it through the prespective of a survivor?
Because like I said before, I run OoO on Meme Builds. And one of my friends, and I will always remember this even though he was joking, told me:
"Wow, you're acting like such a ######### right now. Please never do that again." even though we won, got everyone to escape and I successfully ran the killer around the whole game in Haddonfield. That was like the perfect survivor game and I doubt anyone in that game were having fun.
Also, what's the point of playing a game if you're not having fun? Typically if you see something not considered fun, you immediately look for something that is. That's why people think Spirit isn't fun to go against. But hey, some people also say she is so that opinion, like anything is subjective.
What isn't subjective however is how powerful OoO is. And why it shouldn't exist in the first place. This perk is busted by design the moment you could play it alongside SWF. I doubt you'll find much naysayers to that unless they use the perk themselves.

Heres my normal perk loadout if ya wanna try it. The addons are flexable.
Huh, almost similar to mine. Except I use MonitornAbuse. Might change it out to Surge when I level Demo then.

Can always do 1 rope addon and a block addon. The rope addons arnt really worth stacking together. The way I use the snares, they typically get alot of value, even if someone knows exactly where I place them. Still sucks being spotted at many locations like the school. Often times when a survivor runs downstairs, I like to listen to their grunting and fall ontop of them using the hole in the floor. Cant do that when they can see you... Normal jungle gyms and pallet loops though... the snares are still gonna net me the hit.
Thanks for the advice, will use it next time I play the game :)

Snares help alot, as well as Freddy's block addons that cause blindness. I main Freddy, so I grew pretty use to handling this.
I've been trying and learning. Though I am pretty reliant on the rope addons to slow down gens. I still haven't found a good way to get rid of the OoO user.
-
@LordGlint said:
How does OoO kill mindgames at loops? The perk doesnt work within a killer's TR.
Except Freddy. OoO absolutely kills Freddy.

Freddy already has a signature move built in with his attack animation.
If he successful hits someone, he sarcastically waves hi at them. Then goodbye.

That change still wouldn't solve the problem for Trapper and Hag, as they're most vulnerable when setting up outside of a chase.
Maybe have it so it doesn't trigger until a certain amount of gens are done, by then setup killers are able to do their work without much problem.

Which is a players choice.
The game is designed around only planning for some contingencies, not all. Otherwise each side would just reach stalemates.
Yeah, it is planned around planning for some contingencies but not all. But does that really excuse a perk this powerful to exist? You're not going to run into them every game of course, but you will run into them at some point. You just don't know.

Well we have to play the game in it’s current state, not the state we want it to be, and Aura Blindness and/or a larger TR reduces the effectiveness of OoO for now.
Then I will say what people who complained about Spirit will say:
Why should I build my build around one specific perk when there's literal pages of them for them to use? And what if I don't like bringing addons that gives an effect like blindness?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
just a small nerf can fix this issue. make it so it doesn't work if the killer is in a chase.
if it happened. the OoO guy won't be able to tell his friends about the killer's mindgames. and won't be a huge counter to freddy (considering add-ons and perks doesn't count as counters)
I would love just for this small nerf to happen.
-
@Endstille said:
Oh please stop victimizing killers.
OoO is a fun perk to goof around with friends. The drawback is obviously that you can see the obsession and that is a huge downside if the killer knows where you are. I hate to say it to you but killing yourself on hook, you ruin the game for everybody else and you obviously do not care about the fun of other people.
Killer who feel powerless shouldn't play killer, they are the power role and need to get good.
I think you didn't read my post. I said it myself that I often use OoO for meme builds with my friends. It can be fun. And it is fun.
But when there's a group that doesn't care about the fun of the other player, then I'll give them my own life in the game as compensation. It's clear the killer is not having fun, so when the other side isn't having fun I most likely won't. So why should I care if they don't care about the other person's fun and by proxy, mine?
I don't want to win games easily, nor do I want to absolutely decimate my opponent. I want things to escalate, to be exciting and fun. Is it any fun if you as the killer has to run around one person all game? Is it any fun if you just do gens while the person in your team who runs OoO just runs the killer around while you do nothing but hold M1?
It isn't is it? Unless you're the sort of person who thinks that winning is the only way to have fun in games.

But but.... Daddy Myers D:
Not with his recent nerf to stealth he isn't.
-
I wouldn't be against this idea personally, this sounds like it would give the perk more viability and not something you just put on for a meme build.
-
I like to play both sides. I think both sides can be equally fun especially during a chase. Plus, both sides is a sort of stress reliever if I feel stressed on either side.
If I'm feeling stressed as a killer, I can just pop a match as a survivor and have fun without worrying about too much.
If I'm feeling frustrated as a survivor, I can vent my frustration against survivors as killer.
-
Coolest Dream Dad. Only Dream Dad.
-
It actually froze my PC once after I close the game. I've also been having sound issues where the sound just cuts out intermittently. You can guess how annoying that is during a live match.
Wish they would just skip a chapter to fix the issues.
-
People who disconnect on both sides.
I don't care if it's a perk you dislike, I don't care if it's a killer you don't find to be "fun".
If you DC, you admit you suck at this game.

@SteelDragon said:
you forgot about killer side
- run ruin or the game is over in under 5min
- if you dont run top tier killer you are probably gonna have a bad time
- long Que times
- needing a 4k to pip barely most of the time, rarely will you ever 2 pip
- sweat every game or enjoy losing in under 5min
- wanting to just quite the game when you run into a 4 man SWF
As a Freddy main in Red Ranks:
- You don't have to run ruin, you just need to have the right build that allows pressure on gens and survivors at the same time.
- Freddy is technically a top tier killer now, but he can still struggle with some of the killsquads in Red Ranks.
- Agreed
- I've personally NEVER wanted to pip in Red Ranks, I don't want to go deeper into this hope than I already am. If I can get a good game and the result is "ENTITY DISPLEASED", that would be the most satisfying thing to see especially in those ranks.
- That I also agree.
- 4 Man SWFs sucks, but they tend to be predictable. You can use their communications against them.
-
I'd like her phasing to be made more obvious. Like the grass/corn around her moving, her phasing sound being directional to where she's coming from, stuff like that.
I also want to make sure the survivors can hear the glass cracking as she powers up her phase, I think that's a fine nerf that still has potential for mindgames while allowing the survivors to know when to get away from a loop rather than stay there and get hit.

To have fun and not stress out to attempt to have fun as a role you like
It's one of the reasons why I keep my survivor rank hovering around Rank 10. So when Killer gets really stressful, I still have Survivor as a fallback.
-
I personallly second this. I genuinely groan everytime I get "Ruthless Killer" or "Merciless Killer" in Red Ranks. But then again, if you're good enough to reach Red Ranks I guess you kinda have to be there.
Even though I also hate being there.

It's beyond a joke though. Why the hell can't killer community have good killers and have fun and not get screwed by survivors
Spirit is great, amazing even, but I also want to make sure everyone has fun. I personally can counter her, but I also would like to see her be more obvious (but not too obvious) to the survivors so it's easier to do so.
-
Hey, someone who plays Killer here. You might even say I'm a killer main, though I play both.
Can you not act like survivor mains has no reason to complain about her? She obviously needs some nerfs, but acting like this is just survivors whining is not going to help out with anything.
-
That's pretty much what the community has also been asking for.
I prefer not to see stuff like this is matches again:
It's funny, it's hilarious, but it's still a buggy game being buggy. I prefer they just skip a whole chapter. or even a chapter and an event, just to focus entirely on bugs.
(Edited because I forgot to censor my name)
-
I used to run Ruin all the time as Freddy, but lately I've been trying to use a build that doesn't rely on it. What I basically got was this:
(Ignore the addons as they are unrelated to the build)
BBQ and Chili is a no-brainer, I want the BP stacks especially during the Bloodhunt. Plus with Freddy's teleportation powers he can pressure the other side of the map without any problem.
I might change out Infectious Fright, but basically I'm using it to put pressure on multiple survivors who are clustered together, allowing me to easily go from downing one survivor to another. But if they are asleep, they don't hear your TR so they might not scream.
STBFL is honestly one of the best killer perks you can have, as it can shorten chases a lot and even punish those risky unhooks to down both survivors at the same time. I recommend this perk on every killer, as the way you gain stacks is simple, just by hitting survivors.
PGTW is what I'm replacing for Ruin. The 20 seconds regression is how I keep the pressure going from across the map. If I see survivors working on generators with BBQ, with PGTW I can make that generator just lose 1/4th of it's progress just like that.

I don't know man, this just makes it seem like an excuse to make TOTH a meta perk. Having 15 Opaque is a bit much plus the 5 that normally spawns, don't you think? Even with the rework you're suggesting.

I mean, Nurse is still the best Killer in the game. And the difference between Nurse/Spirit and Legion is simply that Legion was never a good Killer to begin with. He was underpowered form the start, he was able to down one person 100% in a long period of time, which is really unfun for the Survivor who is being chased, and unfun for the other 3 Survivors, because they can only rush Gens, since there was no interaction between Killer and Survivor.
Of course, if you take away the unfun Part of Legion, he will still be weak, he was weak to begin with. But Spirit can actually be reworked to something which is somewhat enjoyable to go against, without making her a weak Killer, her Basekit is really strong, and I highly doubt that they will butcher her.
This is BHVR. I have no confidence they won't give her unnecessary nerfs. She only needs a couple.

@Desolate_Sands said:
Pallet freddy is inferior to snare freddy on all but a handful of maps. Pallets are easier to use but situational, snare freddy can use his power at any loop.
Black box useless? It combo's great with a slower action speed offering and obsession perks since then you can ignore the obsession and they have permanently reduced action speed while you go stack your dying light / STBFL / etc etc.
I think class photo is way more useful than something like Z block. It means all gens get stopped when you teleport instead of just the one you are going to.
I don't personally run stuff like Dying Light on Freddy, I do run STBFL but I can just smack the obsession once and lose only 2 stacks.
As for Class Photo, I prefer to fake the teleport rather than actually use it most of the time. If I am chasing a survivor and I start the teleport process and I know where they are, it gives them pressure while I continue chasing the person I was originally chasing. It leads to more pressure in the long run.

She's like legion imo, her design to it's core is just bad. There's no way to really fix her unless you completely gut her and rework her, or she just becomes terrible like legion did.
Gutting her completely will render one of the only viable killers in high rank play to be useless. But she does warrant some nerfs.
I agree with OP, Beads needs to be removed and collision needs to go away. But I prefer going one step further with it.
She needs to affect the things surrounding her. Like grass, corn, etc. Her footsteps needs to be more pronounced and easily heard. Her phasing also needs to be directional. So survivors can hear where she's phasing from just from wearing headphones. One more thing I'd like to see if that survivors can hear the glass shattering sound effect when she's powering up her phase walk. That would be a great indication to whether or not she's phase walking or just standing there waiting for survivors to come into range of her melee.
There's plenty of ways to nerf Spirit that doesn't require her to be gutted, same with Legion. There's a thread in this forum full of Legion buffs that are reasonable to make them viable, but still allow counterplay on the part of survivors. I suggest you go check it out.
I seriously don't think gutting Spirit is the only way to make her "more fair", if anything it's less fair to people who only play her. So it's best if her nerfs (which we know is inevitable at this point) aren't too detrimental to her power, but gives survivors more info to work with working out where she is.

I avoid the pallet addons, I have hundreds of them carried over from Legacy Freddy but I don't enjoy using them. Because I noticed I only get 2-3 downs with them vs always being able to use my snares in every chase. 😁
That's fine, I prefer pallets because kiting survivors to drop it on you while you slash through the pallet is one of the most satisfying things in the whole game for me.
-
Get Swing Chains and Red Paintbrush, those two are the best addons on Freddy by a long shot.
Any of the pallet addons are also great to get.
Just make sure to avoid the Black Box and Dress Addons, in my opinion they're pretty garbage. Same with the Class Photo.
-
If I see a survivor give me the middle finger after he made me waste so much of my time, I genuinely will DC at that point. And I never do that.

- she can hear you,see your scratch mark and she have speed boost when coming out of phase
She can only see your scratch marks if you are sprinting, if you're fast vaulting the killer will assume you're on the other side, since slow vaulting is very quiet. And her speed boost is worthless if she's on the other side of a pallet/window to you.

Okay megamind. You are no longer allowed to pressure event generators because they're limited time for bonus BP. Are you seriously suggesting you want to be a twat who will deny someone bloodpoints?
That's what I thought.
Hmm, lets see. Do I completely remove the generator from use for a whole 3 minutes? Or do I make it be completely stagnant for 3 minutes?
Yeah I thought so.
