The pictures seems referring to the Crotus Prenn asylum
they're the same pictures from when they teased the crotus prenn graphic update they're just there for reference.

can we just stop crying about ruin and bbq? they have been meta for 5-6 years we don't need them again enough is enough use new stuff be creative.
-
any skins that are related to a limited time event (winter, lunar new year, halloween) are/will be removed from the store and will only be back in the same event next year.

It's a 5% buff to movement speed. If you're using it to catch up, it isn't significant at all. If you're using it in a loop, it is significant but the counter-play is the same.
It isn't enough to convince me to stop doing what he's best at, unfortunately.
that's just like saying why would i chase with bubba when i can run deadlock, noed, nwo and do what he does best (camping).
like yeah if you wanna just camp and protect a 3 gen all game with knight he's unfortunately gonna reward that playstyle till bhvr does something about it but he definitely doesn't force you to.
the buffs actually made a big difference and his guard are more reliable and oppressive now if played right without needing scummy tactics to win.
he's not the best but very fun to me to macro manage with always pressuring survivors in different ways.
-
it's ok let's just wait and see how it performs

I'm not sure who spread this misconception, but SWF was always planned, the only reason why SWF wasn't a feature at launch was because they decided to prioritize KYF.
Besides, people were just sniping one another to end up in the same match, so it's not something you can prevent either and in any case I don't believe SWF to be bad for the game health, quite the opposite, a lot of the game's success is due to players being able to play with friends.
That said, the plan is to close, or at least mitigate, the gap between SWF and solo, in order to have a more uniform level to balance around.
well said mr mod

he's a map pressure killer not as much a chase one if you just gonna drop a guard each time a survivor gets to a loop and expect them to consistently give you a hit then that's obviously not gonna work the devs never wanted the ai to win the game for you.
artist is a high tier killer but if you gonna just drop a crow at every loop survivors will hold w and you're not gonna get anywhere.
use his guards to pressure gens , chase survivors to waste their time, break pallets in chase , counter flashlight saves, deny an area in chase..etc.
assassin is better for chases , carnifex breaks things instantly and chases the longest, jailer is the weakest of them but can be decent to protect an area or break stuff or corner a survivor.

or maybe you are finding bad survivors and you are overestimating your skills... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2enARw01Sw4
how much "strong" your killer is...
using a video from ptb where his guards were bugged and went around loops and spawned banners too early plus no one knew how to play him.
knight is decent but you have to have experience in macro gameplay to get the best value out of him but if you gonna drop guards at every loop thinking they're gonna get the hit for you then that's obviously not gonna work.
-
nothing they can do friend.
but perhaps it may be back in the store someday?
-
fun perk to use but extremely boring to go against.
it should not be an exhaustion perk it needs to be earned kinda like wglf if you want a second chance in chase do something for it but in it's current state it's just so braindead.
a pig trying to use her dash, a chainsaw killer, a wesker, a trickster, a knight.. etc all these guys powers can be just outplayed by a press of a button with nothing these killers can do that's not fair.
-
neither ds or otr or deli work in endgame so basekit bt is a survivor's only chance to not be put back on a hook immediately. so if you're unlucky and they're hooked near the gate just take the L and go next that's what i would do but maybe i am wrong.

Nope, and in case it bothers you, scroll a little bit further down and magically it's gone from your sight.
I am on this forum, not because I play the game (quit December '22), but just for fun and entertainment.
not that it bothers me it's just weird seeing the same sentence by the same person whenever a certain topic is mentioned.
whatever makes you happy tho <3

Still the most satisfying for me to just ignore the flashlight and smack the survivor, preferably when they are injured and the hit makes them do the backflip 😂

He feels like a very macro heavy Killer.
Macro gameplay is one of the hardest things to master in DBD. He has a high skill cap without actually having a high skill cap power.
Basically, if you play him like Artist, you will probably lose. Play him more like Hag or Trapper.
well said that's really what he is.

What gives. I've barely had the game since Christmas, no prestiges, low level, mostly green and yellow perks and a few purple that don't seem good. The first couple days I was matched accordingly. Hell, a lot of my characters don't even have 4 perk slots unlocked. No one seemed to know what to do and it was a blast. Put about a couple dozen hours in, got a few basics down and just wrapping my head around the concepts. Since those first few days, it's been non-stop prestige 10-20 killers or survivors that just proceed to stomp the ever loving hell outta me, generating about 5-10 min of playtime in-between extremally long queue, lobby and load times. I don't have an estimate of the size of player-base, but it doesn't feel like a welcoming experience for new players to constantly matched with such high skill and level players.
you escape a lot you'll get better killers, you kill a lot you you'll get better survivors. sometimes if there aren't enough people your level mmr will just drop you with whatever lobby available so you get faster matches.
it's not hard to get to high mmr in this game unfortunately so even if you're a new players you can be in sweaty lobbies in no time.
you can practice your killer against bots or if you manage to find people to play with in customs. watch guides (otzdarva usually is the best source for those) and just go into matches with the intention to learn more than win.
-
well we can't decide since we can't see how you play him.
but knight imo is a macro killer if you gonna play him only like a chase killer it ain't gonna go well. you need to use guards often to do things for you especially the things they're good at 1- assassin for chases 2- jailer for patrolling an area 3- carnifex to break things midchase or out of chase to save you time they all however can be good in other areas like if you want to keep a survivor busy for long you can also chase him with carnifex ( since he chases the longest) you can use them to break gens forcing survivors away from them to give you decent kick regression and time to go pressure it or using other guards to break pallets as it stops survivors from vaulting them even if it takes longer.
in chase:- instadropping a guard at every loop is very predictable and causes Survivors to hold W so unless it's a short loop or a loop at a corner it's better to draw long path ahead of the survivors to a guarantee a detection cuz as soon as they see you in the animation they're holding w away from you. if it's a second floor building you can drop a guard at the vault/drop location and guards Will fly up there so fast if they detect a survivor or will detect them when they drop.
you can also protect your hooks/totems with guards (obviously). in short there are a ton of stuff you can do with knight think of him like a less aggressive twins, you can't count on your guards to get hits for you as much as victor but they're definitely a great pressure tool.
also choy made a guide that can help you
-
old dead hard had no counter
old iron will had no counter (stridor didn't counter it).
both were ran in every single lobby and caused the game to he extremely boring and stale
2- you're complaining about mad grit, fearmonger and penteminto there is no good or experienced survivor that would complain about these perks which makes me feel you're new to the game or just not really good these perks are really tame one of them is even a meme perk that barely anyone uses outside meme builds and the other is a slowdown that is dependent on Survivors doing totems when boons exist so.
-
forum members are truly something, never would i ever have thought there are people in this game that think current dead hard and game map are ok until i came here.
it's truly mind boggling how some people here think about some stuff.
even if hypothetically we considered the game map is ok, it offers arguably the most boring gaming experience a killer (especially m1nners) could have with any map in this game. having to see survivors outplay you by going from a safe pallet to a safe pallet to a safe pallet to a safe pallet and you having no way of outplaying except hoping gens aren't done by the time you made the map a deadzone WOW.

Not really mind-boggling considering that it draws from a survival aspect in horror. Not the most broken thing in the world and it actually requires survivors to pause their objective in order to pull it off.
No I can't imagine Laurie body blocking but I can imagine her grabbing a shotgun and a couple of knives to fight back. Something which we don't have in this game. I'll gladly trade body blocking for those other tools.
well said, bodyblocking is fine my least issue as killer lol if survivors are able to pull it off good for them if not they put themselves in a lot of danger from the free pressure they've given it's a pvp game not a movie.
as for the bar i don't see what could cause that other than an internet/server issue.

if you jump in one as killer you become undetectable the effects go away when you attack that's it.

I just find it funny how much full bleed outs are occuring, also know when survivor's want something changed,a group of them will play killer and do this continuous thing to make sure it's on everyone's mind and the devs finally nerf it because of abusive misuse like cage auras for pyramid head.During PTB no one used cages to tunnel but , survivors didn't like the fact that you could see the cages just like you could see hooks mind you,the over use for tunnel a cage became a problem after because someone made a clutch play against a swf ,that they sent in their agents and made it a problem.
Which seems to be what's happening with eruption literally been in the game over a year, along with COB but soe group got beaten by it, they want it changed now.
You can tell the difference between a killer main and a survivor playing killer main at least I can.
you are not real.
this gotta be a joke omg
eruption/cob +3 genning in almost every game cuz every killer and their mom using it but it's one group who used it and made survivors hate it.
plus of course people are not gonna tunnel on ptb dude that doesn't change the fact that ph seeing cages was a problem since cages ignore every defense survivors have any one with a brain could see that.
maybe you should try the other side for once cuz your bias is showing.

They were matches where we knew the killer wasn't tunneling/slugging/camping/3gen.You are describing matches where killers use legit strategies as unfun, and the list have grown too, 3gen?
1st. prio for the killer is not to loose, for example by getting a good 3 gen, 2nd prio is to win. You cant get 2 if you dont have 1.
Also, as a former killer, i have been insulted and cursed when actually was following the survivors rulebook, called tunneler or camper when i did none of those, to a point where i decided that the only use for survivors rulebook for killers, is when im out of toilet paper.
I would suggest you watch this video, to give you a clue why a lot of killers feel forced to do those fully legit strategies, that YOU decided isnt fun. (i never liked beeing blinded as killer, still survivors use flashlights all the time).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_nsrd1IZiQ&t=116s
Also, killers have been nerfed and nerfed no matter how much people say "
killers have never been stronger" yes they have, people saying that, have no clue or are lying, as you can also see Otz talk about, in the next video, where he is also is addresseing the tunneling.yes killer has never been easier and stronger only thing hindering the killer experience rn is bad map design. but if you still struggle as killer rn you're bad at the game i am sorry unless you're at a hellish mmr or certain regions.
plus have you seen otz play? every time i watch him i wonder how does this guy have thousands of hours on killer. he struggles with most killers who require mecanical skill, the way he runs loops are questionable most of the time, he does a mistake after a mistake after a mistake and yet guess what he still has a very high winrate lol.

I gave up on getting this adept long long ago. I cannot get downs fast enough with his power, no matter the map or even the skill of the survs.
His inconsistent and unpredictable recoil when throwing is just a nightmare with a controller on console.
oh yeah that's totally fair playing him on console isn't worth it which is sad he's not accessible to a huge number of the playerbase.

No.
When I went for Adept Myers, I had to keep slugging, because the last 2 Survivors would alternate immersing and saving each other while I hunted.
Basically
- I'd down someone, I'd go hunting.
- Other player would get them up. They'd hide while I downed other player.
- I'd go hunting for the first guy.
- First guy would get second guy up. Second guy would hide.
- I'd down first guy. I'd go hunting.
- Second guy would get first guy up. First guy would hide. I'd down second guy.
Neither of them was going for gates.
Why should I have gotten punished with free self-pickups?
I already made a good fix to troll-slugging, and got told no, so.. 🤷♂️
so just cuz you want your adepts the other side has to endure the misery you put them in? no to you and your entitlement lol . useless achievements are not a reason for slugging for the 4k to stay and i imagine that that's what the rework to the basekit ub would be (denying 4k slugging which is fair.
-
probably crows, you don't need to see the crow fly up if you see a crow fly down it means a survivor has been there. or perhaps they went to your last known location?
on a side note as much as i love nwth perk i hate how it greatly nerfed stealth it made distortion essential. and it's clear with the constant addition of aura perks every chapter that the devs want to nerf stealth.
-
if you can aim you can get it easily, his lethality is insane and thats his pressure without gen perks.
send yourself to a map like dead dawg or midwich and use addons that help you the most if you miss a lot use more knives addons or double movement speed while in throw mode.
and who knows maybe you won't despise him too much if you try and get better he's a ton of fun imo.
-
i might not be good at explaining this but I'll try my best.
literally don't just intstadrop his guard at every loop this is so predictable and easy to shift w away from.
unless it's a short loop where insta spawning a guard would work. you draw a path to where the survivor would have to go or to deny an area to sandwich them like other people said.
let's say you're at middle of shack depending on the position of the survivor if they're going for the window you draw a path to the door and go left so they either get detected by the guard or run into you. you're at a pallet you stand closer to one side and draw a path a bit further on the other. I've seen knight players consistently able to get guard value whether at loops, to waste a survivor's time, protect an area..etc it's actually insane.
i recommend watching this guide on yt https://youtu.be/kS9LNIQLFeo
and if you can, check out farmer john's vods or livestreams and see how he plays knight he lowkey makes him very fun and powerful but a fair warning (he complains a ton about the state of the game lol)
-
this seems to me like the most requested thing from the community alongside an eruption nerf and solo q buffs (which are happening)
so if both aren't coming with the midchapter I'll be surprised. but then again bhvr are very slow at giving the community the changes they want even if they don't affect the game's balance and are just qol changes.

You shouldn’t need to do all that though, seems like a workaround for bad design
the second you start solving the box no more new chains should spawn on you
with that i agree, maybe bhvr thought they would give the pinhead a chance to interrupt the solve not considering how frustrating this is against him.
-
he's decently fun to play with if you're gonna play him strategically (not talking about 3 genning) and just dropping a guard at every loop to make survivors hold w
he's got a lot of potential in both chase and gen pressure but sadly since the current meta is protect 3 gens and kick them with gen perks everyone is just gonna use this playstyle till bhvr nerfs it.
he's a really fun killer tho i agree some buffs or a slight rework to his kit would be nice but played to his potential he offers a lot.

From that i picked the idea. I think it should be standard for every hook without using a extra perk. Because it rewards a playstile thats benefital for the game
there a few issues with this
first it already doesn't take a long time to be sacrificed and if survivors put other objectives over saving there's a very high chance that the survivor on the hook is getting to 2nd stage or just be dead.
second it punishes soloq which is already a role suffering from lack of coordination (there are already a lot of complaints that survivors getting left on hook by their teammates)
third the killer can abuse this by just going out of range for a few seconds then coming back to defend the hook and force the 2nd stage before survivors can make a play.
fourth there are already a few big/maze like maps in the game which make getting from point A to point B take longer than it should (rpd and mother's dwelling are the biggest offenders) so this will be a problem that soloq survivors will also suffer from.
imo hook states are perfectly fine problem with killer rn is mostly maps not how long sacrifices take.
-
use monstrous shrine
-
bro what the #### am i reading.
-
it has been said a 1000 times
dodge 3 chains then start solving and you won't get interrupted ( you have to dodge them and not make them hit you) use a rock or a wall to your advantage or just spin.

Pyramid Head is definitely an S-tier killer, but Im broke and have no auric cells ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
p head isn't s tier lol also he has no good addons and no good perks so he'd be a waste of money imo.
also console legion is different than mobile legion (good addons, good chase music and a better power) so i recommend legion on console
but if you don't want legion dredge is fine as well.

i am very confused it feels like a time traveller from 2016 posted this.
-
do you think even if billy got buffed anyone would be interested in him over oni, wesker, blight, bubba? his kit arguably the most outdated in the game even more than trapper's i doubt anyone would want to touch him over actually fun and modern killers with smooth powers.
-
right now the meta is fine except for dead hard and eruption so i really hope they change these two perks again and buff a lot of other useless ones.
-
this is certainly a good suggestion and i hope bhvr actually listens. you're definitely not the only one affected by this and i am really sorry for the experience you're getting.
maybe in the meantime you can do a last second switch when possible? or maybe just give feng a rest till there's a solution.
-
it's always a good day to nerf spirit.
she can be the worst killer in the game and i would never feel bad and that's coming from someone who hates killers being useless/weak.
they really should have gone with dust catch up change they talked about but unfortunately only gone with the directional phase.

Dead Hard actually takes some skill to pull off now but sure keep coping.
nope literally 0 skill, anyone who thinks this perk takes skill is the one who's really coping. if you're gonna use it in the open that's just like using old dh to ignore hits instead of making distance (doesn't work unless the killer is impatient).
however if you gonna use it when near a pallet (just like old dh) you're almost always gonna get value without the killer being able to do anything about it especially if it's a very easy to dodge power (wesker's/ pig's dash or chainsaw killers)
this perk requires as much skill as old dh (none)

If you still struggle with dead hard this much it's a skill issue.

Dear BHVR, released a killer, boring to face, boring to play, weak in general but encourages a playstyle BHVR says they are working hard to avoid it. The Knight encourages camping, and he is pretty good at it. While it's not the best strategy to win. It sure is the best strategy to ruin the fun for the players. Fix this killer and the game. I'm a killer main and i can only say i wish i got my 9K shards back. This chapter was terrible, but sure they don't care about us when they have to make cosmetics for Feng. I could never be more dissapointed. Pretty good job so far eh?
he's not good at camping, simply tap unhook and the guard is instantly gone.

starstruck is fine it's only a problem on nurse and that isn't a reason enough to nerf it.

Now I believe that everyone who has read this is very happy that you're really enjoying Wesker and the things his chapter has brought with it. Looking at it from a different perspective, I see Project W as underwhelming character wise and as you said, very buggy; not really "haha funny bugs", but rather game-deciding bugs. We all know how survivors can get slammed and thrown against non-existant objects that results in a down; I've noticed this a bunch on the Artist's map. Another thing is that he didn't come with a map like Nemisis or other licensed Killers; and I feel like that also sets Wesker's release lower on the list.
As I said, everyone should be happy that you're enjoying a new addition to the game, but don't think a majority of people would agree that Weskers is "the most exciting". I believe that spot belongs to Stranger Things, Silent Hill, Roots or Dread, or Forged in Fog as these dlc's came with what a dlc should- a map, a Killer, and a Survivor or two. Not trying to say you have bad taste; just felt like pointing out some things you probably didn't see :D
it has come to a point where i am thankful for chapters that don't have a map. bhvr's map design team are clueless individuals when it comes to balancing. i might even think that they do this on purpose since everyone complains about the state of soloq so they probably don't want to balance maps rn (or perhaps ever).
also getting another re chapter also brought us changes to the awful rpd map that's better than having a new busted map.

maps and dead hard
