The finisher mori should just work like the Cypress Momento Mori where if there is one survivor remaining, and you downed them while they were the last one remaining, then the finisher mori will play. Otherwise, it doesn't happen.
Although, it would then just be a lot simpler to make the Cypress Momento Mori itself basekit and not have the killer and survivor teleport to somewhere on the map when the conditions are met. After all, some killers like to let their last survivor escape through the hatch.
what does making cypress mori basekit achieve?
a hook is usually faster cuz a lot of mories are too long and might honethsly get too repetitive with time so i don't what's the purpose of doing that, at least the finisher mori had the purpose of ending the game early.
only thing i liked from that ptb was that mori offerings gave you bp based on how many kills you got it'd have been nice if this went through it might have incentivized using mories more.

how does one rescue gives two activations at once, have you read the change correctly?
dh is pretty much dead so is coh but coh might be broken with swfs who can coordinate and regroup at the boon and reset in seconds.

"all generators" - no, not at all. One Hook and instantly up to 45% of overall Gen Progress gone? So 4 Pain Resonance Hooks would have the potential to add up to 2 more Generators to the Trial...
@Topic:
I would agree, it should not be a Scourge Hook anymore. Does not really make any sense when you only get 4 uses out of it IT and only works with a newly hooked Survivor (which is good, because it gives an incentive to not tunnel or at least dont hook the same person twice in a row, even tho, tunneling is obviously still better) then the Killer should not have to rely on RNG.
if it was a normal hook perk and you're limited to 4 times usage what if you are in a situation where gens have little progress or you know Survivors are currently not on gens it'd be like using pop on a low percent gen but the difference is you get to use pop a lot of times and decide which gen should take priority but with pain res being a normal hook perk you'll have situations where you'll lose tokens and not get any real value.
so imo keeping it as a scourge gives you the option when you wanna use it.
-
these are changes that will tested first and are open to changes so the base healing nerf might not make it to live so it's too soon to change perks based on these changes i think.
however I'd like mom to lose the aura reading part if it, it is a meme perk it doesn't need such a downside.

Sorry but I have never seen a gaming company that struggles that hard to understand problems in there own game.
In the last few Updates "Meta" perks got reworked so not every round everyone has to face the same stuff again and again. For killers it's mostly perks that in one way or another slow the game down
Ruin
thanatophobia
Eruption
Call of Brime
Dead man switch
Pain Resonance
Overcharge
Pop goes the Wesel
And probably some more I can't recall right now
All of these perks have something to do with slow down and all of them got nerfed or will be nerfed in the near future.
And well I can't say that I can't understand it completely. Thanatophobia legion for example was just painful to play against. Some of them really needed the nerfs/rework because they where to strong.
But I can't understand how the devs don't think about why killers use these perks so much. The General speed how fast a round is over/how fast gens can be completed is completely broken
A gen can take 90 seconds or with some perks and items SOLO in just 30 seconds.
And what is happening? Nothing. Killers are losing there slow down perks while gen items/perks from the survivor side are not getting looked at.
But here comes the best part
I can't even say that the devs are not thinking about the problem when we see the changes with healing in the next Update. They just don't understand the main problem with the game.
i think they devs understand very well that these are problems but they can't figure out a solution cuz that's just how the game is designed and would probably require a huge rework to prevent these problems however they're going in the right direction with most of what they've been changing.
-
am saying it, this is not a joke
there's someone in bhvr's balancing team that really dislikes billiy and overvalues his kit greatly so he keeps nerfing it i am sure of it.
-
base healing time 100% needs to be toned down in general no one asked for a nerf to it people wanted nerfs to medkits and coh not destroying healing all together

Old dh was still at least twice better than new one. Well could say the new one is even different perk only thing common with them is that you activate it from same button while injured. Now new dh definetely needed nerf as even with 50% as powerful as old dh it was too good. But rather some other activation condition would needee than making it best decision for killer to tunnel to avoid it all together.
the perk is a one time use and u don't know it exists until u see the Survivor used it and it'll definitely be way less used now so tunneling every Survivor just for a chance if it existing will be as common as tunneling to prevent deli which just doesn't happen.
-
no one is gonna camp and tunnel to play around dh as much as they don't to play around deli and deli is tiers above this dead hard.
-
i can understand nostalgia for old maps a bit
but there's nothing about the old animations that looked good to me except the intro where they were looking around them instead of standing up like robots.
other than that old animations were so ewww
-
i think every killer in the game got an update at this point.
trapper- legion- ghostface- wraith- clown- plauge..etc
they undeniably feel much better to play than they used to so I'd be willing to wait for any more needed buffs for them to the devs would give their attention to map balancing which affects every killer in the game.
there's nothing that ruin my mood in this game more than getting a ######### map and there's plenty of those.
-
this should be a really rare scenario tho right? and in that case why wouldn't you dc and go next? leave match option exists for a reason.
also shouldn't this be bannable? since you're not getting hooked, denied bleeding out and teammates aren't getting you up it's a clear case if hostage holding to me.

I mean, it is rumored that the next MIdchapter-Patch will contain a few Perk-Changes. It is not unlikely that this will also affect Call of Brine and/or Overcharge, so it might be possible that the popularity of Nowhere to Hide will go down again. It could also be possible that they remove the 2 extra seconds of Lethal Pursuer which they added with the latest Perk-Changes (something which was not even needed IMO).
But I would say that if they go after Call of Brine and/or Overcharge, it should be more than fine. But I can also imagine them nerfing Lethal Pursuer to the pre-6.1.0-state. Nowhere to Hide overall is a good and healthy Perk IMO.
And aside from that - well, you say it... a very specific Killers. Thats the Dev for you, giving Nurse just another slap on the wrist and what a surprise - she is still broken. Yay.
there's no way in hell they're nerfing lethal pursuer i don't know what gave you that idea
also yes the buff was needed only 9 sec aura reading in the start is not a good enough effect to make the perk absolutely useless for the whole match after.
corrupt was just better in every way plus they also did the same with lucky break and distortion so they're not dead perks also.

"The killer's potential"... alright, first of all? Why do you think you can even complain about how others use a killer? Second, why do you care about how people use the killer in the first place? The reason to "pick a killer to do x" is to win and / or have MY fun. Not your fun, not survivors fun. My fun, playing the way I want to play. Not your way. Fun is not objective, is all the contrary and what you find fun doesn't have to be what I find fun.
And now you say "they can do what they want", but even in the last part of this comment it is obvious that you think it is fine to recriminate someone because he doesn't play him the way you think is the "correct and fun way", and then proceeded to question his skill in your next response because of it.
So, you maybe really believe that you have the right to "make a complaint" about others way to play or that using the "is my opinion" card automatically made it a valid argument, but the only thing you did was show your entitlement, my guy 🤣
hmmmm you seem to have some problems and a sad mentality probably got teabagged a lot or something and it hurt your feelings and i am really not it in the mood to argue i should have just specifically addressed the other guy that was my bad.
-
i like facing doctors always glad to see one in game i like trying to learn to counter their antiloop but i seem to suck against them unfortunately lol.
playing as tho i like trickster, nurse, knight, the most killers that play a chase differently and don't have to do the normal chasing but i like playing most killers anyway.

You say that but I literally just had a game on the infirmary map with a million pallets, getting flashbanged and pallet stun and flashlight rescue for 4 gen, I kid not, 4 gens of that crap...
but, I consolidated on the side of the map with basement and 3 gens ...
Hooked the first one in there with 2 jailers sitting on top for early warning as I stand by the stairs ... they DC when they realize no one come to rescue... I down another, start walking them in the direction of Basement, they DC on my shoulder...
I murdered the other to in a similar fashion, last one had the cutest Dead hard (but by then what does it change right?)
They can say whatever they want, I love a good comeback, I think it's hella fun to read their hate after the game too. <3
the game map is easiest map for knight to just deploy a guard and almost always get a hit on Survivors at most loops am surprised you struggled that much on it which would explain why you play the way you do.

No no no no no! Dude! You must play by the Survivor's Morals Rulebook! You must not play to win, you must play for the fun and joy of the survivors! What are you doing being "as boring as possible"?
It is unacceptable! The Knight should be nerfed, and you should be banned for being an unfun sinner!!!
they can do what they want which is why i didn't comment on the Playstyle but what's the point of choosing a killer just so they can camp and cheese some kills with specific addons like they're playing for a tourney or smth it's like playing huntress ( a strong and fun killer) but running oak haft and standing in front of the hook yes you're guaranteed Survivors probably can't save but like that's a huge waste of the killer's potential which was my complaint
knight is a fun and decent killer imo especially after the buffs long range patrols are rewarding so just picking him to camp kinda hurts my soul haha.
-
that would probably kill boons

That's about right.
On The knight I gave up the 3 gen approach due to this. Good survivors that react well put you in a slow-but-surely losing loop too often.
What works for me with the Knight is the 2 jailors addon with map of the realm (bigger detection range)... and hard camp basement with hook perks and agi... so filthy good!
Can't wait to get the Skull Merchant with shards to test that approach with her
not even gonna comment on that playstyle
but i hate seeing knight being so missplayed by people when he has great potential and strats to him that don't involve being as boring as possible.

Hello :)
Recently I've encountered several leigon players who hit me and my friend in frenzy mode, then, without getting stunned and switching modes, they instantly hit us again in frenzy mode and kill us. Happens within seconds then lo g after I'm dead I hear them make that sound where they are stunned and change modes.
FWIW my ping is 20ms, always.
Are they hacking or can Leigon kill in frenzy mode? TIA :>
yes legion can down in frenzy
after getting 4 frenzy hits the 5th one is a down they also get speedier with each one that's why spreading apart is more important now against legion and also it's better to stay deep wounded if you suspect the legion is close so they don't get a free frenzy stack off of you.
-
i get much more stressed as a Survivor than i do as killer and i am not even good at killer but my game is not ruined by teammates or a killer the player decided to play or how they decide to play it (camping/tunneling/3 genning..etc) as killer i can do whatever i want so i just have to worry about improving my skill more than anything.

You said "Myers is outdated" and how he was made for 2017 DBD. People who say that almost always have Tombstone in mind. Either that, or they mean his power. Sometimes both.
And no, it really doesn't have the same effect, Thana is a weak perk only good on certain killers while Myers add-ons can allow for a new way of eliminating Survivors, a new threat that isn't a complete joke without very specific add-ons and perks like Sadako's condemned, and you generally get insta killed at 5 gens if your team isn't doing gens. Stop blaming the killer for your team's incompetence. This is done in many topic on the forums, and I'm sick of it.
Or alternatively, we can just buff his basekit instead of touching some of the most unique add-ons in the game, with several entire builds that can be done with this Killer. His power running out doesn't matter since at that point, the game is typically done. Myers can just run Endu+Fury if that's an issue.
sorry bud tombstone piece cannot and will not stay the way it is whenever myers gets an update, i don't imagine the devs are that dumb to keep it
a broken outdated addon for noobs that deletes any kind of fun or chance Survivors may have in the match
in a pvp game this cannot be allowed to stay same idea was with iri head and pinky finger and those were less bullshit addons than tombstone.
-
you cannot fool me with this post Survivor main

i think this is for the better. You give this game attention, time and money but it never makes you happy.
the problems i have with this game are the following
*mmr is worse than call of duty
*cheating and hackers in almost all of my matches (flying, speedhacks, you name it)
*boring meta 3 gen or first survivor tunneled out of game
*tools of torment is possibly one of the worst and most unexciting chapter to release in this game
*bugs reappearing (look up dead dawg saloon bug)
*grind is ridiculous and spending too much time on bloodweb
*most killers and addons are trash
*poor performance on console
fair points but let me remind you that
1- there's going to be perk changes in the midchapter and every midchapter after hopefully as the devs promised to shake up meta and stuff
2- the bloodweb is getting a rework as was revealed to make it not take ages and will probably be in the midchapter
3- tools of torment is a flop chapter yes but this year we got dredge , wesker , knight imo all very solid and creative killers and anniversary should be huge so ig one failed chapter is not that bad and it's still new content at least
4- there are a lot of solid killers in the game just like there's a lot who are not but i agree on the addon part a lot of them need an addon pass

What is up with people on these forums trying to shame people into agreeing with them? This is exactly like the shaming that happens when people say "good killers know how to bait dead hard, so if you're having trouble with dead hard, then you must not be a good killer". Does this actually work on people? Do people actually say "oh no, I don't want people to think I'm a bad killer so I better get shamed into thinking dead hard is ok"? Do people actually say "oh no, I don't want people to think I'm the most unobservant so I better get shamed into thinking the swamp slope idea is good"?

killers are in a very good spot outside a few outdated ones and of course the awful map design still most killers can do well most of the time if you're decent at the game.

@TheMruczek said:
It's not impossible to counter this build. You are going for risky build that can go either way depending on the map as Demo.
If survivors find your totems early it's gonna be really hard to get your Devour stacks.
If survivors are smart they will bodyblock to tank hits to break the totems.
So no, it's not impossible to deal with and Demo player has to get lucky as well as early down
you can use thrill of the hunt and you're pretty much guaranteed to reach both your totems at the start and always be able to defend it after.
there's really barely anything Survivors can do against this build if they're not on comms
also you're oblivious if you're on top of an activated demo portal so if you're injured the demo can just get a free down on you if he's close and if you heal first that's just more time for him to pressure others.
lifeguard whistle should be looked at some point and hopefully they fix demo's animations soon as well
-
i don't feel that's gonna solve anything just like bbq was never a solution to tunneling and camping. killers played how they wanted and still managed to get their stacks.
tunneling will never stop until gens as a concept get a change the Survivor side needs something refreshing to work with
less time on gens and more focus on chases perhaps? or other objectives.
-
yeah it'd be cool to try Survivor in vr but everyone (who can afford a vr) will just try that mode for a bit and just go back to 3rd person.

The greed is very much real. Pretty much every new cosmetic release recently was only available for auric cells and nothing else. Also despite claiming that they'd give us iridescent shard prices for skins that are over a month old there are still several skins in this game which are locked behind an auric cell paywall. Just take a look at Dredge for instance, his doll skin is still auric cell only.
they're doing a bunch of characters at a time they started with the og 4 Survivors and the last midchapter was feng, ace, clown i think? so they'll catch up to dredge and others eventually.
-
@Peanits said:
I can confirm that as others have said, the stun time from the pallet is shorter than the time it takes to reset the pallet. Since the Killer can interrupt the pickup, there's nothing stopping them from breaking it.
Alternatively, they can sit there and wait for you to pick it up and then hit you before you can possibly drop it again. You might get a second stun, but you're guaranteed to get hit in the process.
i think a pallet spawn like this should be changed then cuz with new no means it'll be impossible to counter it's already difficult to counter with current any means.
-
you can keep vaulting the pallet or window over and over forcing the wraith to uncloak first wasting time its really effective.
-
how to completely destroy a killer guide.
he'd be worse than sadako.
-
it'd be fun to know what actually inspired the devs to do trickster he's so unlike the other killers in the game yet they managed to fit him in really well.
-
agreed hopefully they just make it shown only on end game screen and be done with it.

What? The last plague changes were buffs and doctor hasn't received any changes since his rework
i know doctor's synergy with huntress lullaby got nerfed.
and the snap out of it never resets anymore whether by missing a skill check or by getting shocked again, minor stuff but i guess that's what op is talking about?
for plauge tho i don't recall how she got nerfed.
-
chill and give it time please they need time to monitor how these changes affect the game and how to address it if need be.
killers got a huge buff patch earlier this year and then the solo Survivor experience got worse big time so they're improving it a little i don't get what's the big deal.
-
did you just come to this game this year? if so it makes sense why some of their recent changes to the game made you like them so much.
but people who have long experience with this game and how bhvr handled it throughout the years will realize that bhvr is one of the most incompetent game developing companies there is.
however they've been doing great changes for the last 2 years it's unfortunate tho that for every couple good changes a random horrible decision/s comes out to kill the mood and reduces the players base's trust.
-
i was actually gonna ask what's the point of this perk with so many aura reading perks in the game.
-
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been 8 months since our last Anniversary Broadcast, yet January somehow managed to sneak up on us. During that broadcast, we shared a roadmap detailing some of the features we would introduce over the following year, many of which have already become a reality. Our next anniversary is…
it's coming
-
it's funny lol
-
i wish he'd get an addon pass and a buff to long range chains otherwise he's cool to play and to face outside of some obnoxious strategies.
-
i am totally ok with this as long as i don't have to deal with dh.
when dh change was new there was a variety in exhaustion perks that were used lithe, sb and balanced even overcome cuz of the less speed boost it felt really really good seeing this variety even tho it was for exhaustion perks which are some of the strongest perks Survivors have and this what it should be.
of all the issues with the game the devs thought of preventing map repeats cuz "variety is the spice of life" but seeing the same perks every game is ok? if they really want variety and fun gameplay then perks like eruption and dead hard need to be taken out of the equation.
-
god i wish this was about dead hard instead i am so willing to handle coh but dead hard is the one i really hope would be looked at again.
as for boons i don't think shattered hope should be basekit that just destroys boons and 3/4 of them are not even that good maybe a global 60 seconds cooldown on totem blessing or a shorter range for coh so they have to be really close to it i like that the perk discourages hit and run and gives Survivors a way to fight back its healing effect shouldn't be nerfed any more imo.

The new stuff? The new stuff ie COB/Eruption/Scourge Pain/Overcharge is getting overused. So it's the same 4-6 (Dead Man's Switch etc) perks being used so don't act like this "shake up" made people have more variety in builds bc it didn't.
dead man's & overcharge were useless perks for years, call of brine was decent but ruin never gave it a chance to shine as it was miles better. pain res is a strong but a healthy regression perk & corrupt gives the slowdown when you need it however is useless on fast downing killers (nurse - blight) even tho slowdowns are still meta they're arguably healthier now (except for eruption) so yeah I'd rather that than old meta as a survivor and as killer cuz relying on a totem perk didn't feel good so i don't understand why people would want that back.
-
this is actually a good idea, so if you want constant info from windows you can have it without a cooldown but you either can't run exhaustion perks with it or you can but be careful when to do so.
devs are not gonna nerf it tho unfortunately.
-
difference is giving a visual heartbeat for survivors is not an advantage as they already can hear it so it only helps people who can't but killers getting visual info on where survivors are in chase is a huge advantage.

I don't think killers should complain about a survivor's build if said killer is running Franklin's.
that's such a weird thing to say. what is franklin's gonna do against any of their builds?
plus it's not like survivors are bringing stacked medkits and toolboxes with map offerings every game which makes a match very difficult.
