  • I'd prefer if both iri addons and purples got changed to something different entirely make them provide a difference in gameplay if they make it so he sees all Survivors when sending one to cage that's just ghostface's iri addon all over again and the undetectable one could be changed to what you're suggesting but I'd prefer if it was a lesser rarity than an iri and instead make it apply torment on power hits or smth.

i wish every killer got the addon strength and variety killers like trapper, blight and dredge have surely that wouldn't be too hard.

That's supposed to be the idea, have the survivors scream first so it looks more realistic.

yeah i know i like it that way actually but it has indirect effect on perks like pain res and bbq in case of pain res it makes it so Survivors can't time the to dodge the scream and it wastes like a sec from bbq aura cuz they both proc early instead of after the animation.

  • @theblaze01 said:

I don't think this is a bug as all of you say. Some time ago I asked here why they had reverted the change of the screams in ptb 6.6.0 and mandy he replied that the team was working on a long term solution to bring back the longer screams, I guess they already found the solution and implemented it in this Update

but the screams don't feel long it seems they just proc as soon as the Survivor gets impaled by the hook instead if after the animation ends.

They changed it. The killer has to have line of sight now or it won’t work at all.

I agree the description is a little unclear on that right now and it should be adjusted, but the perk is working as intended.

when did they change this? i only know they removed the visual tr part of the perk but it still works the same

it's supposed to light up when a killer is in 36 meters range that part doesn't require direct line of sight

  • idk if it's that much of a problem really it takes a Survivor running two really bad perks it's more funny than annoying honethsly.

however I totally agree with buckle up thing it really needs a cooldown or smth it's stupid.

plus plot twist flop flip power struggle is unbelievably broken in swf also.

  • why not just go back to their own time periods

  • i don't see the problem just get out of the small hook restriction range and use your birds what's the big deal?

also do you wanna remove the range which makes her crows apply a direct hit? that just nerfs her too much without compensation.

Ya know I despise a lot in DBD to lol I'm a survivor main and rarely play killer, I did pick a horrible time to start playing SM but I'm glad I have...but yea your not going to enjoy everything in a game and that's ok!! Like I said above the problem is map design not SM specifically lol in no way should two gens be within arms length like they are now and I agree with that 100% but we shouldn't nerf a killer into oblivion bc of it ...when they do nerf her I hope they buff her in certain ways Because I do enjoy playing her and it's be a shame to see such a cool killer be destroyed

    it'll be a good riddance

hopefully she gets nuked from orbit then buried and forgotten.

unless a miracle happens and they could actually rework her to a fun killer somehow.

hehe i hope you dont meaning me :)) if yes then come! i will play against you as killer and show you my little bit 10k hrs in that game :D but please dont cry about "camper, tunnler, cry and more cry" I'm sure I have more hours in killer than you and your 500hrs friends in dbd combined xD dbd is just different hehe, will be corrected by a hundred hours, no, let's even say 1-2k hours of bad players xDD

    10k hrs complaining about wesker

if that doesn't scream skill issue idk what does

  • the pig nerf is an ancient meme that does not apply anymore and lately she has got nothing but good changes to addons and basekit.

however she's still very weak and her perks aren't good same for detective tapp so I'd recommend a better chapter

for Survivor i recommend kate then Gabriel

and for killer you could try legion/wesker/nemesis/pinhead/plauge

  • just go next on hook but don't make it obvious you want to.

  • if the Survivors are awake they'll get exposed but if they're asleep they won't get affected by starstruck cuz They hear no terror radius.

no perks affect lullabies so using tr related perks on freddy is usually a bad idea.

  • without recharge addon this iri is torture and no nurse would run it.

  • that's just a visual bug tho it doesn't hurt anyone.

the thing i want fixed is how his guards turn around pallets if they're dropped in their face instead of phasing through them like they should and the fact they don't choose the shortest route to Survivors so they could be basically right next to them yet they don't hit em.

  • after the huge addons and basekit nerf she's alright i think no need to gut her completely she's unique and fun to play and we don't need another killer being turned to freddy/twins

since addons can't carry anymore i am willing to lose against a decent nurse they're pretty rare anyway.

Now that you write it, I have to correct my statement (that no Killer Perk currently needs a Nerf). Because I would agree on that. Or, to be more precise - I dont think that one single Perk (or Add On) should cause both Mangled AND Hemorrhage. It should be either slower healing OR heal regression, not both at the same time (with one Perk/Add On).

hemorrhage on it's own is pretty bad i don't think anyone would run an addon that only does hemorrhage.

before its buff it was useless but people still used sloppy for the mangled sperating the two effects only makes it so killers get more trash addons than they already do.

  • wraith, better chase better addons better stealth and doesn't take much effort to play.

while ghostface is so much work and even then it's not worth it

but if we did gf vs myers or pig i can see him being better than both.

  • aside from made for this

literally now ever since the killer buff patch last year and the nerfs to dh, coh and medkits that followed it has been a great time to play killer.

only issue rn is map design which continues to be a problem but at least the devs are slowly trying to balance maps.

    Well,

I don't try to go for unhooks on purpose, but specifically in end game, when they go to unhook, what do I do? They always seem to be able to run across the map for free without ever going down trading hits. How come can they even block my movement like that? feels so lame.

it also seems like they "hug" me when coming off hook... hard not to take the hit as I can't even go for the other survivor I'd rather hit really...

I do my best to pressure gens but I had to change my approach as it seems those always pop before I can even get to them when my power isn't up and I am REALLY not a fan of the killers you mentioned, first, I payed for Oni with money so I can play him since he looks so cool and I'd rather learn to be better with it...

but with the exception of wraith, the killers you mentions feel so much weaker, I never got any 4k with them, I feel COMPLETELY powerless from what I've experienced with them.

I'd say wraith was ... alright, but the design and powers makes me snooze.

at least Oni has a cool chase music and ability.

that aside, what should I do when I'm stuck as M1? it feels like they get these windows right next to gens and I can't seem to EVER catch up without them making it to a pallet or another vault.

    I really struggle here.

body blocking with endurance is unfortunately an annoying side effect of it, it exists to protect Survivors from going down instantly after an unhook but some use it as an offensive tool to protect their teammate which is smart but annoying.

what you can do is either wait out the 10 seconds if possible and down that Survivor again and put em on hook (they will cry about that but they asked for it) or hit them instantly and do the same you will probably be able to catch up even after hitting them.

in endgame situations especially after the next patch unhooks will be risk free cuz you currently could grab them but soon you won't be able to so if you couldn't injure the Survivors before they go for an unhook they'll probably just unhook and be able to leave safely and then you just go next.

oni with no power is probably the weakest killer and you need to depend on basic killer gameplay and mindgames to be able to get hits for your power which is why i suggested wraith/legion cuz they help learn the fundamentals without being terrible or complex however if you wanna stick with oni a couple chase perks might help cuz his own perks are not good so leveling up trapper for brutal strength and billiy for enduring might be a good idea to help when not in power.

then it just learning tiles/windows and what's the best way of running them which comes with practice/guides.

nobody mentions them bc mob mentality and perks should never be the only option of counterplay lol

they're not the only option of counterplay fearmonger is just generally a decent perk

do you need it to counter exaustion perks? not at all but does it give you value when you do? mostly yes which is what a perk should be.

  • nobody mentions them because they are not a problem

since you mentioned uncrouch then you play pig/ghostface fearmonger would be your friend cuz it synergizes very well with stealth killers so it'll deny any sprint burst users from zooming as soon as they see you other than that it's a matter of skill and practice.

  • the white shield is a status effect called endurance which you get from various perks and Survivors get for 10 seconds when they're fresh off the hook (+ speed) so am assuming you go for the recently unhooked Survivors often?

also for a beginner oni isn't the ideal choice he's decently difficult to play well even for experienced players so perhaps chose another killer like legion/wraith/trapper

killers are faster than Survivors mostly by 15% percent but some select few are only 10% faster and those usually are the ones who throw stuff plus hag and spirit.

a good beginner load out is spies from the shadows for tracking, fearmonger, sloppy and jolt

i personally learned so much from watching people play so give twitch streams/yt guides (especially from otz) a try.

  • @JdoHybrid428 said:

Correct me if I'm wrong bc I haven't used pop in a bit but doesn't it have a timer?(unless they removed it) Plus pr can affect any Gen across the entire map, right?(haven't used it yet)

yes it's 45 seconds timer plus the percentage removed is based on the current gen progress not the total so in order for the pop to be meaningful the gen needs to have a high progress.

  • mass slugging is only caused by Survivors mistakes

notice what the killer is doing (not seeing a downed person's aura/ hearing other Survivors screaming) and play around it by making distance and not grouping up or being stealthy.

if you couldn't stop it in some cases well you could just take the L and go next it's 4 minutes till you bleed out.

the devs could make an option to speed up the bleedout times but i think that's barely a priority rn.

  • it's bhvr's own doing, first they created the worst meta of all time where killers just refused to chase in order to kick gens for the millionth time especially 3 gens and they created two killers that made this play style much much worse.

and then they nerfed the gen kick meta and one of those killers who was too good at it and it still did nothing and that killer remained exceptionally good at protecting 3 gens so now people are so fed up with the whole thing when it only used to be an occasional problem which is mostly caused by Survivors.

  • if bhvr could they definitely would have but the license holders are unfortunately not that generous.

  • i don't think i have any crazy hot takes.

maybe that i think most of the killer cast in the game is fun to play and learn when a lot of people seem to be blind to that fact and only think wesker is fun.

  • you severely underestimate how good that speed is it's both an amazing map mobility and a great catch up tool in chase.

also cloak gives him the best stealth in the game he can easily out position/get a hit on you a lot of the times.

  • do people think bhvr hate money and they actively trying to design boring killers or smth?

there are many fun killers in the game and i didn't hear complaints about"boring cast" or "lack of fun killers" to play before stupid wesker was released but now people defend spamming him because "thErE R nO fUn KillErS" no it's because he's easy and because he is press m2 to zoom and that's what it takes to click with people's brains but bhvr releases a fun and strong killer like singularity that if played well can be pretty oppressive and people don't give him a chance cuz he takes a but more effort than just pressing a button to zoom around everything.

If you're able to pump out an additional 5-6 loops on a weak/average tile against Doc, that Doc isn't very good. I'm not talking about jungle gyms, shack pallet, or generally any god pallet where killer is forced to break it or lose time in chase.

If Deathslinger misses his shot, he should be penalized for it? MfT is not going to change that punishment. You're acting like MfT makes a drastic difference here. When DS ever missed, it was supposed to be punishing. The 3% isn't 'impossible' to catch them with, especially if you actually use your power (which is the whole point of playing someone like DS or Huntress) and don't miss your shots.

How so? Because I don't agree that you should be hit by a guard? By your own point, if you can 'normally outrun them w/o mft' then why is MfT suddenly the issue? Because its happening a lot less? Thats the logic? The only people that ever get hit by guards are bad survivors or simply survivors who made a mistake (which happens). The whole point is to zone and push them away from an area you want to keep secured or make harder for them to do their objective, whether hooks or gens. MfT doesn't change that.

Clown is essentially anti-loop so if you're telling me you struggle to down or catch people with Clown who are running MfT, again, I'm not looking at the survivors - just you.

Also not every survivor is some comp player. On average, most people are bound to make mistakes or lose a mind-game on an average/weak tile here or there, so acting like every survivor you come across is some amazing player whose running MfT and theyre the reason you lose a chase or a match is just copium to the extreme.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3481412#Comment_3481412

I'm not blind or biased. I used to play killer a lot and now its more 60/40. I just don't agree with you at all.

The killer mains who w/ video proof, also don't agree with you. Is it an annoying perk sometimes that helps the survivor get to a loop or extend a chase? Yea! Thats what its supposed to do. And only good/decent survivors are going to get actual good value from it. Bad survivors are still going to run to deadzones, lose mindgames more often than not, not know which tiles to chain together, etc.

Its funny thats your goto as soon as I come in here and voice my disagreement when people are holding 90% win rates in pugs, if not higher.

huh weird how many times i seen some people admit that the perk helps them last longer in chase even tho they normally suck at it

it's also weird how the same argument was presented with "dh" that only good players got use out of it while bad ones just dh to a wall or to avoid a hit instead of making a pallet.

anyway i wasn't arguing about the perk"s strength even tho it's busted but i was clarifying that it's undoubtedly hurts some killers like doc and knight more than others.

  • i agree with mandy the perk can be even ignored a solo player cuz it's often ran with pentimento so unless it's a case of indoor maps or certain killers i think you shouldn't cleanse it.

  • @LapisInfernalis said:

It is implemented in the mobile version. But afaik in that case you can't just leave lobbies without closing the game.

In the main Version of DBD you can. Meaning that people will do lobby shopping even more frequently if they see someone bring bad perks (like No Mither or Self Care) or perks so they can do some challenge faster, meaning they are not necessarily productive.

I think a middle ground would be nice. That you can see the perks which are important to know and have no in-game indicator (Deliverance, Renewal, Autodidact, FTP, UB, Adre etc). Problem is that they would need people to decide if this is useful for the perk or not.

Alternatively you could shortly show the perks during the loading screen to prevent lobby shopping. But then you risk people DCing during the loading screen.

Sadly I think that this is not a good idea for the game because of said reasons.

in the bhvr version you could dodge lobbies all you want unless all players are in then it insta readies up.

am not sure how it is with the netease version cuz it's fairly new and i only tried it a few times but afair it's still the same except that they have a lobby screen with a timer just like the main game

  • @Volcz said:

This is full on copium and exaggeration.

'never going to catch them' ..have you by chance, ever thought maybe you just aren't as good as you think you are? Wild concept, I know!

Actual good killer mains have not been struggling at all.

If you struggle to catch or down anyone with Clown, says more about you.

If you struggle to catch or down anyone with Doc, says more about you.

God forbid survivors can actually outrun the Knight's guards, huh. We should just add a 'freeze survivor' ability in place and force them to take a hit.

People are playing Wesker simply because hes 1) a strong killer and 2) he's fun to play/get better with.

So many people seem to be under the impression that its a perk, item, SWF navy seal squad as to why they lost. No you lost, 99% of the time because of how you played. Go watch any capable killer main whose been playing for years. They still win 90% or more of their matches and thats on a variety of killers all ranging from D-A.

I've realized a lot of people that play DbD do not take accountability at all for their mistakes or way they play. They can be the absolute reason for losing a match but they will never entertain that possibility or believe it.

if you struggle to catch or down anyone with doc says more about you

you do realize that doc loses distance with his shocks against an mft Survivor like you're better off just not using your power cuz you'll almost never catch up

god forbid Survivors can outrun the knight's guards

bro they already can it's very rare for a guard to catch up to you on their own and with this perk now it's impossible. it's funny how biased and blind you are to killer mecanics that get hurt by this perk

  • i agree we finally get an event with different gameplay instead of just boring decorations and cosmetic hunt

really hope other events have gameplay changes as well and we're not back to only cosmetics and extra bp gens/hooks.

Basekit deliverance is happening? I did not notice it in the patch notes.

yes but not this patch it'll be tested in a ptb later this year if a killer is in a radius of a hook for some time a meter fills and Survivors get the ability to unhook themselves (this also works on second stage).

  • why? there are already stuff being done about it (no hook grabs and basekit deliverince)

  • there is no way to counter tunneling other than basekit bt after that it's up to you to get better at looping to punish that tactic and use perks like otr/ds/dh other than that realistically there's nothing to be done about it.

Yeah but tbh I don't think I've ever seen a hag run that in the wild

Come to think of it I haven't seen a hag at all recently lol, those nerfs really hurt her

those nerfs?? what nerfs? she only gotten buffs/indirect buffs lately with the nerfs to flashlights and healing.

plus hag was always a rare killer people just don't like playing her as long as her kit is the same but i expect to see her a bit more when her buffed iri comes out.

  • none of the perks you complain about are a problem whatsoever.

Which ones? I haven't any that have been crushing it against good survivors, lol.

Same for my games, haven't met one that "won" unless the other survivors were bad.

watch zubatlel's vods he has been spamming him ever since singu released.

    and also scottjund.

  • haven't played him myself but seen lots of gameplay of him by killer streamers and they seem to be crushing it with this dude he is pretty oppressive in the right hands so idk maybe try watching gameplay of him and then you might reconsider?

  • i always push them out when it happens i have 0 problem with it most of the time why do people get so sensitive about crouching JUST PUSH THEM OUT AND GO NEXT.

  • when hit validation was first introduced it was really good but it had a problem of constantly showing Survivors screaming and a blood effect on your screen whenever you swing through a pallet.

at some point tho it seems like they went back on hit validation and bullshit swings through pallets came back again.

  • knight is unique and fun (to play at least) and brought us (nwth + hubris) and vittorio was a cool and fairly popular male Survivor but i can see why some could dislike knight

tools of torment did have a disastrous unfun killer but Survivors and some of their perks were alright

end transmission has a very fun killer with a decent skill requirements and toba landing is an ok map only bad thing is mft but at least Survivors get to have something to play with for a while so singularity was definitely not a garbage chapter.

  • pretty sure you can change keybinds on console so healing and dropping pallets are on different buttons.

put actions and interactions on different buttons.
