at some point i stopped caring about winning as killer and made my main objective to be hooks , chases and how to get better and I've enjoyed killer ever since and escape or bm from the Survivor side never annoyed me since.
Survivor is the opposite for me i wanna win but i suck at looping and it frustrates me greatly and when i am in chase i can actually feel my heart bumping.
-
it was just a visual update, unless you mean the collision?
-
i don't think you're the only one I've never seen a community so burnt out on their game like this one.
I've a lot of passion and love for dbd and seeing so many people not sharing in that disappoints me.
but it is understandable cuz Survivor side barely ever get something new to work with and new killer's hype dies down after a while usually cuz it's the same gameplay over and over.
i hope that bhvr can tackle the problems the community is struggling with at the moment with more game modes, gameplay changes and qol for Survivors and killers.
-
i wish people who wanna complain about the game specify what their problems are with no bias and a good understanding of the game.
and not just come to the forums to rant like children.
like what are the devs supposed to do with this post you said nothing useful
huge hitboxes? there's no such thing i don't even think you know what hitbox means.
overpowered killer perks? like what? i really don't think killers have any overpowered/problematic perks left nor does Survivors (except mft)
camping is getting nerfed so what's the issue?.
-
i agree it's too strong in camping situations otherwise i don't mind it
but as someone pointed out there's a basekit anti camping feature coming, maybe when it's implemented we won't need to nerf stbfl.
-
absolutely not or at least very rarely i don't understand how they implement a feature that is supposed to help with dcs and make them able to sabotage the team like that.
they miss skill checks way too often

Whats wrong with Lery's? Midwich is amazing visually, but in terms of design is disgusting, auto Alt+F4 when i see that offering being used by the killer.
claustrophobic, confusing maze like map that makes almost any fun power unusable
filled with strong windows and pallets
lery's might honethsly be the most boring indoor map or map in general in the game for me.
-
they already said this is coming on the first reddit AMA didn't they?
-
glad someone actually cared to point this out
most people either didn't care/too lazy to do it (like me)
or just thought it was a feature.
-
i feel like she's in a good spot except from having too many boring addons and being a campy killer.

The locked locker exit time should be reduced from 3 to 2.5 and Haddie’s Calendar’s effect should be reduced from -1 to -0.5. That alone would make Dredge feel a lot better to play. I also agree about reducing the noise level especially for Nightfall and better locker placements/adding more lockers on certain maps would help too.
As for Malthinker’s Skull, it’s just straight up busted. It is far better than every other addon that gives extra progress towards Nightfall (and while some of those weaker ones need buffs, Malthinker’s would still be better than those even if they were buffed) and does need a nerf. I don’t think any basekit compensation is needed for that, I feel like the basekit rate is fine especially since going into a locker/teleporting to a locker builds up Nightfall very quickly. If they want to make Nightfall less reliant on that, they could slightly reduce Nightfall buildup from being in/teleporting to a locker and increase it in other areas.
I’m saying all of this as someone who plays Dredge a lot btw, they’ve been one of my favorite killers since release.
it's not a busted addon are you serious.

community is pretty hypersensitive to perks. i thought the game was not competitive.
yes i admit lol
however i personally don't want any nerfs to the perk since i also play killer and love tracking perks but if it was to be nerfed I'd just nerf the blindness
-
i blame skull merchant she's probably taking his place and others in priority rework list.
-
I'd nerf the blindness part perhaps it's unnecessary.
also this is probably a bug but it shouldn't make Survivors scream in lockers.
-
that is like the worst perk in the game lmao
-
i think she's unbeatable in pubs a capable nurse is just gonna destroy evey public lobby she's in.
some of them are on a +700 winstreaks she's a killier that's once mastered Survivors' input matters very little.
but then again only a few people in the game really got to that point with nurse and she's an unpopular killer in general so with her best addons nerfed and her m2 being special attack idk if she needs more nerfs.
but i do like your ideas they don't nerf her directly but add some counterplay from the survivor's side.

Worst feature ever... Not only did you make this broken ass killer xeno which is total pay to win but I cannot see the prestige of the people I play with/against? Yeah sounds about right, 3 p100 in my match, vs a newbie killer 1-3 prestige. Sounds very fair and I can't even see it now and dodge the lobby. Instead, I'm getting bullied by people with 10k and more hours in the game which are teabagging and being toxic all game and afterwards... Screw this #########, stop nerfing survivors for the crying killers and maybe bring some balance to the game instead of doing such bullshit features that aren't fair at all and pushing new pay-to-win DLCs like the last one... Takes all the fun outta the game, so great job, great decisions...
wait am so confused
this feature is supposed to help Survivors how is it nerfing Survivors?
also how are you saying you're a newbie killer and at the same time complaining about xeno you should be happy there's a strong killer to play right?
many questions.
plus I'd like to say that when mmr was implemented and before the prestige rework you could only see grades i think and grades were only for monthly rewards yet people took em as a measure of skill and were complaining about getting queued with iri 1 players when that meant absolutely nothing and wasn't a factor in matchmaking.
then it was prestiges, which were only meant as a way to show off your commitment to a character you like but people still took it as a measurement of skill (even if sometimes it could actually correlate to this) and started dodging or harassing high prestige players so imo the necessary evil is that nothing be shown at all so people (me included) stop freaking out about numbers on the screen and just play the game and focus on improving the mm system itself.
-
i don't like custom emotes they turn this game into fortnite/ mobile game doesn't fit the horror element at all
the rest i agree with.
-
i personally think emps don't have much of an effect on a good singularity but xeno is much much easier to play.
if people actually gave singularity a chance they'd realize he can be an oppressive and a very fun chaser.
if Survivors disable your emps in chase you can easily replace the biopod and infect em again.
but why do that when you get a power that's the only requirement for is to press a button at every loop and get a hit, no charge up, no cooldown, very low skill ceiling and pretty much copy pasted from another killer but better.
-
you sound like a fun person
nobody is gonna take you seriously with that obvious bias and us vs them
oH tHe eViL sUrviVor mAins RuiN eVerYthiNg
they dare ask for options in chase, it's not like there's literally a killer that got nerfed before just for the fact you couldn't react to his power at all even tho he was not even half as powerful as xeno before nerfs
and let's not forget wraith (an m1 killer) got nerfed (rightfully so imo) cuz by the devs's own words he was a "wee bit op"
i see no reason why this killer should he an exception when his kit has problems than either of these killers.
plus I wouldn't call it a nerf just revert the unnecessary buff they gave him , give him a cooldown before accessing tunnels at the beginning of the game ( like literally any other tp killer).
-
i had cases of killers i first hated then after a long while suddenly they clicked with me and I liked them this happened with trappy boy.
i switch killers all the time cuz i get bored of playing only one after a few matches even if i enjoy them a lot and luckily i pretty much enjoy every killer in the game except like 3 (spirit, huntress, billiy)
but not really a killer that I play for a long time then i find out i hate them maybe it's just burn out in your case?

The text got an update and it seems we get a 20 second cooldown soon.
The perk is absolutely fine as it is, i would argue it net benefits the killer as it is a waste of a perk slot which you could save if you know the maps or play SWF. Windows is a perfect example of a perk which gets a nerf just because it has a high usage, not because it is busted.
it's just a description bug the perk isn't receiving any nerfs.
-
me neither tbh i think they're in a fine spot now
i hope for more fun perk changes tho like the ones to trail of torment, crowd control and claustrophobia.

In my recent discussion, which was a contrast to all the "Xenomorph is balanced" dicussions, I asked about how Xenomorph's tail attack, in this state, is balanced. Here is a summary of all that happened.
. I got called an "entitled survivor main" for asking (didn't even bother arguing his point)
. Blamed for not giving Xeno time and to stop "crying for nerfs"
. The topic got deflected to the Remote Flame Turrets
. People argued that remote flame turrets are strong, slow the killer down a lot, and give you time to get to a loop as Xenos break the turrets even without a cooldown (I don't know which game they're playing)
. The Xenomorph got compared to Huntress and suddenly Huntress is OP?
. Window/pallet vault baiting is how to dodge the ability (once Xenos learn to be more patient and improve their aim, this strategy will become obsolete)
. People argued that you can react to Xeno's ability in time (the maths was done by someone proving otherwise, please tag them if you remember who and I'll edit them in)
. Dodging (when you think the tail attack will happen) was suggested as a good strategy when Xenos can just follow that mistake up with an M1
. General agreement that the ability causes lose/lose situations frequently
. People genuinely agreed on the idea of a cooldown for the tail attack
. People assumed I placed turrets on top of gens (?)
.Pre-dropping pallets counters them (most Xenos don't break pallets and just take advantage of it)
. you need distance management to counter them (distance counters every killer lol)
. Not loop in a lose/lose situation (why would a sane Xeno let me leave a loop when they HOPE I drop the pallet?)
. Run towards already placed turrets to counter (most turrets are right next to gens getting worked on)
. Hold W (crazy good advice)
. General agreement that SWF can utilize turrets well compared to solo queue
. The classic "get good" and "skill issue" comments
. Apparently not having a sound cue nor animation for the ability isn't a cause of concern
. Some people basically admit to facing new Xeno players and basing their opinion on that (no consideration on how Xeno mains will perform in the weeks to come)
. Complaining that the killer needs time to settle in (Xeno mains will only IMPROVE with time)
. The idea that the tail attack is something you can react to is very prominent (seen as a counter)
. Some general tips on how to waste a lot of time moving turrets to "strategic" locations to annoy (?) Xeno more
It is important to note that there wasn't any semi-decent answer to my question. Most people just shared their realistic perspective and argued their point which I thank them for because it just highlights how hard it is to argue that the killer is balanced even with how this forum mainly portrays him as 'balanced'. Also, every argument about the ability being balanced that got a ton of upvotes was just people telling me to get good and providing terrible advice alongside it. Typical.
huge huge respect for this post no one could've said it better.
i totally agree with all your points
i legit don't understand what magic effect this killer has on people they'd relentlessly defend it with bad arguments.
i hope bhvr realizes that altho the killer just came out there are causes for concern with its power and unlike singularity in this case it's the killer being a bit too much.

Sure it does, i'm saying you balance the game around that. Balance gen times around that, balance structures around that, loops, pallets. The like. Think about how the killer needs to go for hooks instead of tunneling someone out in 2 minutes what that does to the game. You now need to consider that instead of the game being about eliminating 1 survivor before you are down to the last 2 gens where now you basically just win, it is now about having to chase different survivors. Meanwhile you need to balance the game and gen times with the fact that you can't quickly eliminate someone anymore.
This game is basically balanced around being a 3.5 players vs 1 player not 4v1 or 3v1. Thus, survivors are too strong when there are 4, and too weak when there are 3. Better to balance the game in a way where survivors can't be eliminated from a match in 2 minutes with no chance to do anything and the killer hoping that the team is too altruistic instead of just doing gens.
I'm suggesting a world where you balance the game such that, a survivor probably isn't being eliminated until the very end of the game, but that doing so results in the killer "winning" and we balance around hooks and chases.
Do you prefer a world where tunneling and camping are the optimal strategy the vast majority of the time? Or would you prefer a game where individual skills, mindgames, and diverse play are the optimal strategy?
that just feels it'd require dbd to be redone completely
-
disagree it's one of the healthiest additions bhvr have made people farmed before it existed now at least if they gonna do it you'll be safe.
-
oh god not bhvr ruining pinhead as well.
-
the killer isn't forced to play like this most of the time but it's the easy way to win so why not go for it?
plus Survivors have ways to combat tunneling and hopefully when the anti camping mecanic gets added they have a way to combat camping as well.

Singularity's ability is hard countered by Made for This as well. He has a certain catch up speed over a period of time and MFT makes that more and more difficult.
i agree altho with the exaustion addon this can be made less of a problem.
and sadly he is not the only killer that gets hurt badly by this perk compared to others.
ex doc, slinger, trickster..etc.
-
singularity is really really tricky to buff i agree with the comment above a good singularity is very oppressive and leaves you very few options in chase.
i think the payoff to a good use of his power is decent in most matches, it's already much better than most killers but people don't really wanna do much effort to learn him when there are easier killers to play i really think wesker just rotted people's brains that if a killer isn't a dasher or easy to play they just won't bother.
plus a large part of why people don't play him is that he requires fast inputs and turns which controller players struggle with (a common problem with a lot of killers on console)
i can agree with improving the detection of camera placement plus the Survivors so it doesn't get blocked by a twig or whatever small thing that hides the Survivors model.
if you make it so emp range is smaller or only affects one Survivor singularity becomes a 3 gen nightmare, hens already did a 3 gen singularity against a swf team in customs and they struggled I'd totally agree with those when they fix the 3 gen issue like they promised.
giving him 5% haste is just leaving even less options for Survivors in chase when you already have overclock so it's just a lose lose for Survivors.

That last-second swapping bs survs can do really should have been eliminated long ago.
I get that sometimes players are using the bloodweb on another character while they wait, but imo it's done either to avoid the killer dodging or for another abusing reason.
The idea of not having a lobby at all would solve this and has been brought up a few times around here, even by me. I think that is worth testing.
the lobby is a cool feature i really don't wanna see it go cuz of minor inconveniences.
nothing Survivors can switch to last second that should make a killer dodge (flashlights & high prestiges) are not a reason if you're confident and if you're not you can dodge in the loading screen i guess.

trapper and trickster for killer
jake, steve and david for Survivor

For me the issue is not that you cant get insta down from hook. I think thats a good mechanic implemented. What i dont like is that there is no cooldown on endurance so you can just use one after another. That is broken.
the teammates used endurance perk not the same person i don't know how you would add a cooldown to that
plus if the person is in mend state they can't get another endurance
the issue is with buckle up at the moment the perk got over buffed it should not give endurance for both Survivors that's stupid.
-
if he thinks he's hard to understand he should identify what are his problems are and ask or watch a guide.
there's something about the box mecanic that is unknown by many cuz it's unfortunately not explained in game, is that you need to dodge 3 chains before doing his box i will give him that.
in soloq if it's a decent pinhead that plays for the box more than chases it's basically gg everytime.
-
no fun allowed bhvr
or maybe they don't want people to see how awful bots actually are.
-
only problem rn is ftp + buckle up combo which i hope the devs address
the endurance from hook tho is fair no reason you should be able to hut through it as p head or any other killer.

Now that we've seen Brand New Part reduce the max amount of repairs needed to complete a gen, let Solidarity and Resurgence reduce the max amout of healing needed to be healed.
- After being unhooked, Resurgence reduces the charges needed for you to be fully healed to 8. This is reset to 16 after being healed to healthy.
- For every second spent healing while injured, Solidarity reduces the charges needed for you to be fully healed by 0.5. This is reset after being healed to healthy.
Rather than make these perks immune to haemorrhage, these changes mean the perks will no longer be completely useless against the haemorrhage status effect, while still being affected by it.
agreed solid idea

Im simply for adding a Mechanic to the EMP Boxes similar to Skullmerchants Drones when Hacking.
If you miss it, the EMP gets destroyed and it starts to 3D Print again.
Being able to pick up an EMP in the middle of a chase is stupid.
Also using an EMP doesn't slow you down but instead makes you just stand in Place, it then slows you down by 3% for every Slippstream cleansed or Biopod Disabled for a few seconds.
This way it's actually a Trade off.
Fix the Slippstreaming on Survivors. If there is more then 50% visible it Slippstreams. No matter if there is a Tiny Twig in the way or a stupid leaf.
Also yeah, increase his Movement Speed by +5% while in Overclock.
The Addon that already does that can be changed to something else. Maybe just make Survivors Hindered by -5% for 10 seconds after becoming Slippstreamed.
this makes him super oppressive what the #########.
do people even think about the other side before suggesting stuff like that.
-
literally no further nerfs to emps are needed they're in a good spot and even if they disable them midchase you can easily replace the biopod and infect them again and if they nerf the disable time for pods he can be a 3 genning machine (he's already kinda too good at it).
singularity's major issue is the skill of the average player and being difficult on console more than anything else.
people have complained that if you don't see 100% of the Survivor model you can't infect them which can be adressed i guess.
-
David cuz hot shirtless david
nancy and steve cuz STRANGER THINGS and because they're badass with badass skins
after that i switch between most Survivors for different reasons
renato cuz the lobby music is the coolest in the game, vittorio cuz he's also hot with good skins, nea cuz she has flashy skins, feng cuz bunny feng, ash cuz voice lines in lobby..etc.
-
i think your idea is awesome i have been wanting to ask for a machine learning change as well cuz it's a chore to try to get value from this perk.
either that or they do the progress idea too and remove the kick gen then kick another gen to activate requirement.

- it's not impossible to loop her
Lol, lmao even. That's like her whole point, that you can't loop her.
you can delay her which is good enough i suppose provided you don't get a wide open map with little los blockers
with her addons gutted i think she's in a fine spot no need to completely destroy one of the few most unique (yet rarely played) killers this game has to offer .
-
the longer the matchmaking the wider the range of mmr between you and your teammates cuz at that point mmr prioritizes faster queues.
as for the speed of queues i don't see how can they fix that am sure it's a temporary thing tho at least till alien or nic cage hype dies down.

Victor can't hook or damage gens and dies when he gets a single hit
then he comes back after 6 seconds like the kick didn't even matter twins don't really get punished for missing but they do get punished with a lengthy time if the Survivor chooses to keep vic.
i always wanted this to be reversed so they can recall vic faster but when he's kicked he takes like 15-20 seconds to come back.
-
iri tape must get changed
Survivors should be able to deposit tapes in turned off tvs so she doesn't keep tping to every tv the Survivor goes to.
Survivors have a bit too little to work with rn.
-
when you give a killer a 150% movement speed with no terror radius or red stain that can jump through pallets and windows and can switch to another killer to be in more than one place then that killer needs to have counterplay.
until twins get reworked to make them more fun to go against they definitely need these stuff to stay.
this is bhvr's fault for making a poorly designed killer.
-
am surprised with these comments, nostalgia really is blinding.
hawkins was an awful map full of unsafe pallets and rooms where you couldn't use your power well with a lot of killers yes it had a good vibe and unique loops but it wasn't good for gameplay.
and others want an indoor map when the devs have not made a single good indoor map they're either stupidly Survivor sided and very boring like the game and lery's or killer sided like midwich and rpd was horrible till it got a rework so why do we need others??
i just hope this new one is good but press x to doubt

Sorry but surv mains have to deal with the constant gen regression perks etc.
every single gen reg perk got nerfed this is the weakest gen perks have ever been in the game
and the two semi strong ones (pain res + pop) require hooks and one of them is limited to only 4 uses per Survivor.
complaining about gen perks rn especially with Survivors bringing toolboxes, bnps (still strong), prove thyself is skill issue.
-
it would be really tedious to have to afk and wait for the killer to pay attention to you and kill you and if they're run at the killer the killer can choose to slug them all this will make most players rather actually play the game cuz it'll actually end faster in a lot of cases than trying to do this at every little inconvenience like entitled Survivors do.
removing hook kobes will definitely help with giving up situations but it's not perfect cuz then you remember things exist in the game that no one wants to play against like skull merchant or condemned sadako slugging you over and over or it's a losing match or teammates not doing anything these things make me hesitant to accept the removal of the mecanic.
-
i doubt she'd popular as rebecca she's pretty bland imo
