The challenge has a couple hidden aspects to it.
First the killer has to have void energy to steal any and you have to be able to collect more void energy.
-
Nothing you stated suggests they are "overtuned" just that you aren't familiar playing against them and are struggling.
-
I guess I've just gotten some rng then
-
The zombies are highly volatile in how much work work they put into a match. There's not really a reason to nerf the zombies when the worst thing they can do is get stuck on objects and do absolutely nothing for an entire trial.
-
I don't believe there's a way to check which cosmetics you've collected so far from the event. The best thing you can do is collect 30 void energy in a match and see if you get a pop up in the lobby saying you earned a new cosmetic. The pop up does tell you how many you collected though.
-
Shattered hope to me is a bandaid fix to the fundamental problem with coh.
You can buff it all you want, but the perk essentially exists to counter a single perk.
-
Why not just play twins?
-
@Nazzzak said:
Playing in a swf apparently increases your chances of escape by 15% (if I'm remembering that correctly)
It's up to 15% at the most extremes (and this goes both way so some teams do worse than solos).
For the most part the devs have said that the advantages of swf in escape rate are very minor. Still they have talked about giving solos some more information so they still want to even the playing field, but it's not as dire as people act like it is.

Yea, it's just my quess of course. But at the very end of the teaser there is only Behaviour logo and no other company logo.
I'm pretty sure BHVR has done that with another license before. Throw out a teaser and not displaying the license holder logo so people wouldn't guess the chapter immediately.
Wouldn't take that as evidence towards no license.

Looks like original chapter this time around. That's good. These are usualy the most unique killer powers.
I will quess PTB might be on Nov. 1st.
Nothing in this teaser has confirmed or denied whether it's original or not.

You're not the person I'm talking about, as you're not banned.
OP isn't banned either. He's jailed.
I believe he is still capable of posting in existing topics.

It's sad how some people really want to die on the hill for allowing dcs. Like if you don't want to play dbd that badly just go play something else. Leave the adults who actually want to play the game alone.

Oh, wow, really? I thought you would still gain points in the background it just would not visually show up. That is pretty annoying. I am just going through the killer track on this one. I ain't touching that challenge.
I went through a game where I was capped, stun the killer twice and got rewarded with more void energy, gave 0 credit.
-
@LylakLavender said:
Now I'm getting confused. 3 different people are saying what you need to do and that's confusing. So you do need the energy from the killer or you don't? Some are saying they get it when they don't have the energy. Either way BHVR rushed this event. Some of these challenges are hard.
So the killer has to have void energy in order to steal any from stuns.
You also need to not be carrying the max of 15 void energy or have already gotten 30 void energy in order for it count as stealing.
-
Eruption is certainly problematic atm. It basically makes any 3 gen situation nearly impossible to break. Don't get me wrong it should be hard to break a 3 gen, but Eruption adds an entirely new layer of difficulty to it.

How is hook trading and doing gens not the correct response to a 'down one then camp' Killer if you want a 3E or 4E? What kills survivors in that scenario is the hiding in bushes by the hook or the unhooking too soon.
Go do gens, when a full hook stage is almost expended hook trade, repeat, have 3 to 4 survivors make it through the exit gate. If a Killer is staying by the hook, you punish them by doing gens.
Yup. If survivors time hook trades so they happen bet right before the next hook state, the killer won't be able to get a kill before all gens are done. Survivors would have to take longer than 8 minutes for that to result in a kill.

So, technically, flashbang and bomb gen also?
Flashbang isn't a stun
-
Pretty sure the killer has to have void energy to steal and since the only way for killers to get void energy is by kicking pumpkins, downing a survivor, and hooking a survivor. You basically have to wait for them to catch someone first and then try to stun them before they can secure that energy.
-
@JustAnotherNewbie said:
They should just make camping more skill-based if that is even possible, so that bad killers can't benefit from it but good killers can.
That will solve a great many problems, like bad killers skipping the whole chasing part of the game.
I didn't realize survivors can start out on a hook.

I have never seen such a DC epidemic in any other game I have played, ever. I highly doubt 100% of this massive DC movement are just unreasonable crybabies. I think a decent portion of the people who DC are just tired and fed up.
Anyone who is actually tired or fed up with the game is just going to stop playing. People who are mass DCing are crybabies, because they can't handle the game not going how they want it to go.
-
I don't see a point to making this change. The point of a perk like sloppy butcher is to make healing take longer and force survivors to have to commit.

You can round to the nearest 10 as much as you can round to the nearest whole number x
We could round to the nearest 100s and now every killer has a 100% kill rate.
We could round to the nearest 1000s and now every killer has a 0% kill rate.
There's no reason to do those roundings unless you want to be intentionally misleading.
If we look at the dataset, the difference between kill rate from the highest to lowest is around 9%. There's really no reason to round to the nearest 10s, because it's ultimately not going to show any major differences for practically the entire dataset. All you are doing is being intentionally misleading for whatever reason.
This is my final comment on this matter. You haven't shown any sort of reasoning besides "I can" therefore there's no more discussion that can take place.

"I want you to justify rounding 65% to 70%". Sure. If a number ends in 5, you round upwards. As I was rounding to the nearest 10, I rounded 65 to 70.
You're not showing why we should be rounding to the 10s. 65% is already a number rounded to the 1s.
If we go by let's round killers to the 10s, then Wesker has 70% kill rate and every other killer has 60% kill rate. Which is just a pointless thing to do. You are only taking away by rounding this way.
-
@Roaroftime said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3235765#Comment_3235765
It depends what you're rounding too, so you can round say 1.1 to 1.0 so the nearest 1 or you can round 47 to 50 or 44 to 40 (The nearest 10) as examples. If the number ends in 1,2,3,4 you round down, if it ends in 5,6,7,8 or 9 you round up! Happy to help.
But why are we rounding whole numbers? I don't need an explanation on how to round, I want you to justify rounding 65% to 70%.
Because as far as I see, there's no reason to other than to make a specific killer's kill rate seem worse than it is.

Why are you rounding whole numbers?

@Hawk81584 said:
agree op.....3/10 matches is wesker for me and his ability to hit you thru a pallet and then all of a sudden you are back on the other side of the pallet you threw from the other side is downright sickening
That sounds like a latency issue rather than a Wesker issue.
-
I've seen Wesker like once or twice over the past couple days I played. He's not really that common anymore. Ghostface has tome challenges so that's probably why you are seeing him more atm.
I also wouldn't really take the kill rate posted as his actual kill rate given that it was inflated by him being a new killer at the beginning of the month.
-
I wouldn't say he's doing well. He's right in the center for kill rate at top 5% mmr. His pick rate is 1.5% in top 5% MMR. Seems a few dedicated Freddy mains are keeping him alive. He's a M1 killer with a teleport. That's something at least. Really hard to mess him up, but no real reward for playing him well.
-
Are the perk icons turning off?
Resilience + Deja Vu is only 14% action speed and co-op action is a 15% action speed penalty so the bar would still show up red.

To be fair, there are people who make entire careers out of their skill in games. From dedicated content creators to tournament players who travel the world for various tournaments, there is potential to take pride in one's skill in a game. This ain't it tho, you're right about that.
Those people are also actually showing off their skills to the world. Whereas this guy refuses to show off anything.

Have fun, I guess. I thought he was joking the whole time, but it seems like he is serious with all these posts. Maybe he is stuck somewhere in the MMR area for beginners. Otherwise, a 99% win rate is impossible. From the way he sees things, I honestly expect a awful killer, but I could be wrong.
Especially when you remember a 2K is considered a draw to most people and even for the best players sometimes a 2K is the only thing they can manage due to bad map rng. 99% falls apart really quickly if he ever gets multiple games of 2K or less.
-
You want to challenge people to a 1v1 now? This is a literal meme.
-
Personally I don't think being able to hold multiple flashbangs is the right solution.
I think the perk just needs to hold an extra charge so you don't need to constantly hop off a gen to create a flashbang or drop existing flashbangs to create new ones. This way you still have to go back to a locker after throwing a flashbang to make a new one.

The numbers you guys collected were not accurate then, because the reality in my games and everyone know was different.
Also dbd was very buggy and random crashes happened much more often which also counts as DC.
Imagine telling a BHVR employee that the numbers they collect are not accurate

There absolutely was. In the year before dc penalties got introduced it was a nightmare trying to have a legit game.

Every time I've used a group BP offering, it's been consumed and I don't get it back.
They should definitely be killswitched.
I assumed "not being burnt" meant they weren't consumed. Then yeah they most certainly should then.

They should probably be kill switched, but at least they aren't getting burnt.

This is referring specifically to things like Bloody Party Streamers and not the current Event offerings that you can obtain in your bloodwebs
Thanks for the clarification

Besides Terminus, if you were in deep wounds Adrenaline would only heal the deep wounds leaving you injured.
-
The pick rate data that got shared has him at 2% pick rate. So he's not meta. Likely just has some really dedicated players.

There was just a lot of frustration build up in the (solo Q) community. They finally can DC without consequence, That's why some people saw a lot of DCs. Give it 1 week and it would normalise
yeah no. I know from personal experience the hell when dc penalties didn't exist. It will never normalize and we shouldn't be catering towards babies who rage quit.
-
You mean the stats that only reflect the month of September and Wesker was released August 30th. Every new killer seems OP, because everyone tries to figure out how to play against them.
Let's not use month 1 stats to determine if Wesker is OP or not.
-
@Roaroftime said:
Why does Wesker having those absurdly high win rates not warrant a nerf?
The stats are from the month of September. Wesker was released on August 30th.
The stats are highly inflated from everyone playing Wesker the first week and people trying to figure out the best way to play against him thus artificially increasing both his pick rate and kill rate.
-
Realistically you don't, but I had a single game where I perfectly timed avoid an Eruption proc.
https://clips.twitch.tv/ArborealNiceSmoothieKreygasm-t68BtNZJfS4Hui-9Honestly the perk as it is, is just poorly thought out. At least Pain Res you can reasonably avoid it by letting go when the killer has picked up the survivor.
-
First game and I got a feng who decided to actively throw, because they didn't want to play. Not sure what's worse d/cing or the people who make it a point to throw the game.
-
I'm all for this, but we should also get more charm slots so we can put more crows on hooks.
-
@MrPenguin said:
Well, at least we can put to rest that GF is a weaker Myers and that Myers is nowhere near the worst killer in the game.
Myers has an addon that allows him to instant kill survivors without needing to hook or down them.
As long as tombstone piece exist it's going to be hard for him to be the absolute worse killer.
-
@Malkhrim said:
I knew Wesker was being played a lot recently, but...
Holy shoot, 25% pick rate at top MMR. That's a huge lot.
This is data for all of September. He was realeased 30th of August.
His pick rate is definitely a lot lower now.
-
People DC, because they get upset that something in the game isn't going the way they want it to. It has and never will be an indicator of unbalance.

@GrimoireWeiss said:
Just shows how meaningless tier lists are overall.
idk if I would say they are meaningless.
There's still some truth in the tier lists people make, but people can easily underestimate or overestimate the power of things when making a tier list.
