No.
It's there to punish gen rushers and it's easily counterable.
Break 5 totems before it's active. Break one totem when it's active.
You can also open the gates and leave.
-
Over 2k hours playing both killer and survivor.
Billy is the most balanced killer in the game.
-
Done.
-
This doesn't clear anything up for me. Is this considered a hostage situation and bannable or not?
Am i risking my account being banned?
-
I think Freddy is a great killer.
Built in aura reading; BBQ and Deerstalker (which i assume will be taken away with rework).
Ability to slow the game to a crawl.
The 'can't hit a survivor for 7 seconds' that everyone complained about, usually results in a free hit or free pallet, because players don't preemptively run away from Freddy, which actually results in a shorter chase.
Playing Freddy usually results in a 4k (for me anyway) compared to other M1 killers due to the mix of abilities listed.
With certain perk builds and addons, he is pretty unstoppable.
Personally for me, not looking forward to the rework.

And who exactly told you that DBD would be getting a new vanilla no perks mode?
This.
Also why would anyone want to play a no perk killer against experienced survivors? Take away everyones perks and the game is even more survivor sided even without survivor perks.
-
I am familiar with what you are talking about which feels like an auto lock on survivors hit boxes, making you hit stuff that you were not swinging at.
-
No.
-
I've been locked in the grab animation while the survivor ran away without being hit.

Really?
Do Killah Mainz not ######### about ANYTHING these days?
The game has literally been tilted in their favor by over 70% in these last 10 months.
Goodness gracious, the bitching never stops!
Really dude? :/

@CallMeSpidey I highly doubt they intentionally meant to leak it. It would get more traction as a formal announcement rather than a leak.
Are you telling me that the Dev team are that incompetent that they didn't even check what build the PTB was before giving it to players?
Surely you would check what build you are uploading. It's not like they close their eyes and point to a random build and say, "Yep, let's upload this one."
No. It was intentional.
-
Highly doubt these leaks are 'accidental'.
-
I don't give survivors extra BP.
Survivor pudding all the way.
-
Thanks guys. Appreciated.
-
Like that. I'm the one in red up on the other side of the window. The killer comes from the ramp, slides along the hay and hits me at the window.
-
Strange. After 2k hours, i've never seen this done before.
-
Yes. I buy all the characters.

It's just one more hit! And Billy and Leatherface counter it completely, same way wraith and Michael counter Borrowed Time... Stop whinging and git gud whilst you walk around with RUIN and NOED! I'm a killer main (Mikey) and MoM does nothing but make a chase slightly longer which give everyone a tad bit longer to repair, but you can always chase them to a gen or hook after MoM or during general chase if you know they run MoM...
Don't nerf
Don't remove
Just adapt
Billy and Leatherface are not a counter. You are still forced to use your M1 the majority of the time. You should have to be forced to play a certain killer for a single perk.
One more hit means you lose much need pressure. One more hit means they can get to another pallet or another loop.
Ruin and noed are easily counterable. You can work through ruin and hit skill checks. Just break the totem. The argument that noed is on the same level as MoM is invalid. Noed is a mediocre perk and can be counter before a single gen is done and after it is active. You cannot counter MoM, you just have to 'deal with it'.

Need to delete SWF from game. Only solo.Survivors and killers.Full random,
This wouldn't do anything. People will just do what they did before SWF, and just queue up at the same time till they get in each others lobbies.

No.
But Jeff in a bikini? Sign me up.

I would say 50/50.

M&A in my opinion is a top tier killer perk.

Fine, then nerf MoM. I don't use NOED. I hate MoM As much as you probably hate NOED. So let's just remove them both from the game.
I'm happy with that. Noed is weak af compared to MoM.
-
Why would Dev's give you proof?
I believe there should be a punishment for a single disconnect however which most games do have.
-
It's not a rage quit, it's a disconnect.
Disconnecting from games is already punishable.

It's not a gabage title though, cause it really seems like they hate killers.
I believe most, if not all BHVR Devs are survivor mains.
-
I got excited for Pig cosmetics.
Unfortunately, i won't be purchasing them because of MoM unless i can for shards.
After 2k hours from a player that plays at red ranks as survivor and killer, no other perk as steered me away from playing killer.
So yes, i have been bringing my mori all day and enjoying the salt.
-
This end game is soooo such a joke. FThe killer can close the hatch.... Well why not...
It's meant to be a race to the hatch. You are meant to lose if the killer finds it first. That's the whole point.
Having the doors as an option is so you do have a chance, even if the killer finds it first.
-
The solution to camping is to rush gens, instead of all crouching near the hook like a bunch of idiots.
-
I have the same problem with Hag.
Hag played properly is a control killer, not a chase killer.
I get punished for not chasing.
The ranking system needs a proper rework.
-
Killer just idn't fun any more with all the perks that let survivors get a free escape which negate anything you do.
Don't worry. I have 2k hours in the game and play both killer and survivor at red ranks. I know how frustrating it is to have your pressure negated by a single perk and being punished by doing your objective.
And yes, while i play killer, i have stopped playing those that require a M1 to down or injure apart from Nurse.
-
I can deal with iridescent hatchets, turning addons, and the other "fun" to play addons for killer, but the most annoying thing to play against is anything that automatically puts you into the exhausted state.
No. You shouldn't be relying on perks in the first place.
-
I'm sick of losing to a single perk called MoM.
Rework of DS and we get DS 2.0 a month later.
Clearly shows how much they care about the community when they bring out a paid DLC featuring this perk because they know it's broken and will sell.
I want cosmetics, not P2W content.

@Ô_boro said:
You mean "Legion" right?
He was not nerfed, he was reworked, no compensation is expected for you I'm afraid. Steam can refund DLC's but only if you played it for less than 2h.
Unless you're from Australia :)

theres already a perk that punishes survivors for doing their objective, its called No One Escapes Death.
Noed can be countered before it activates. It can be countered after it activates. It is only active when the game is coming to a close. Survivor have already won.
MoM can't be countered before it activates. MoM can't be countered when it activates. Can become active throughout the game causing loss of pressure. Can be a game losing perk for killer.
Yeah. Seems fair.

Hes asking if an obsession is chosen by random when the match starts, not just by the person who has DS but if out of all 4 of them is one chosen from random because someone has DS equipped.
He isn't asking if the Obsession is tossed from each survivor when DS is activated.
Yes, this is what i am asking. Finally someone with a brain.
@Kaelum said:
If there is an Obsession perk in play, any survivor can now be the Obsession. It doesn’t matter if you are running an Obsession perk or not, you can be the Obsession. If you are running an Obsession perk, you only have a higher chance of the being the Obsession, even if you are the only player running one. This was done the prevent the killer from knowing who is running and Obsession perk.
Thank you. This is what i am after.

There's one person not understanding what they're talking about here, and it ain't me.
Everything you linked is about obsession switching from one player to another. This does not explain why someone running no obsession perks is assign obsession at the start of the game.
You said 'New DS rework assigns the obsession status to someone else'. That is not how DS works. Read the description. DS increases your chances of obsession. How is it increasing your chances if it assigns it to someone else? What?
Sorry but your not talking about the same thing i am.
-
"The trade-off for using Decisive Strike comes at the risk of suddenly becoming the Killer’s latest obsession."
This just means the obsession can be passed by using DS. This doesn't mean DS forces someone else to be the obsession at the start of the game.
"After successfully using Decisive Strike, you will immediately become the obsession. This will remove the obsession from any other player, and any perks that refer to the obsession will now refer to you."
Again, this is passing on the obsession, not DS forcing another player to be the obsession at the start of the game.
I'm not taking about an obsession switch. I'm taking about a survivor being the obsession without an obsession perk. DS does not force someone else to be the obsession like your suggesting, and everything you've linked does not indicate that.
If the perk states that it increases your chances to be obsession, why would it be forced onto someone else?
You're clearly not understanding what i'm talking about.

Seriously, just quit while you're behind.
Sorry but i'm still not seeing where DS assigns another player as obsession.

Yeah, i get that, but why are my chances increased when someone else is increasing theirs with a perk?
My chances of being obsession should remain 0% with or without someone else running an obsession perk.
Looking through the patch notes on DS and the description in game, i cannot find anything that suggests DS assigns someone else as the obsession, as it clearly states on the perk that it increases that players chances of becoming the obsession, not someone else.
if multiple people are running DS or an obsession perk, this could assign to a different player, but it shouldn't be assigning it to someone without a perk that increases its chances, as the chances should remain 0%, like they do in a game without an obsession perk.
So no, i do not have an answer.

Was one of your teammates running DS? New DS rework assigns the obsession status to someone else until the perk is used. Once the perk is used, the obsession changes to that person (if I understood the rework correctly)
Yeah, i get that, but why are my chances increased when someone else is increasing theirs with a perk?
My chances of being obsession should remain 0% with or without someone else running an obsession perk.

They keep saying they fix totem spawns but I'm still spawning near hex totems i find within the first 10 seconds of the game.
-
Yeah, you get hard tunnelled, face camped and noded at with Leatherface in my games.
Your $10 goes toward my entertainment. :)
-
Sloppy + Thana is tasty now that they are forced to heal because Legion moves at full speed.

@MegsAreEvil said:
GitGud as those killers who can still perform well.
I play all killers, but i shouldn't be forced to play a certain way or a certain killer due to a single survivor perk.
-
After 2k hours, do you play both sides or just survivor?
The EGC hatch play is meant to be a race to the hatch instead of a hatch stand off. Whoever gets to the hatch first wins instead of both standing there like idiots for 10 minutes. You are meant to lose after the hatch is closed. That is the point.
Blood Warden can be played around exactly the same as it has always been. 99% gates. If killer gets someone with gates open, then leave. Easily played around.
Noed is a mediocre perk at best. Any killer or survivor who thinks this perk is good is delusional. Easily countered and can be played around also by leaving and/or breaking the totem.
You can only blame yourself if you want to stick around. The game is about survival, not about saving your friends.
-
My Opinion: No.
-
There seem to be windows that you can keep jumping through without blocking and ones that instantly block before you even jump through it.
-
As a killer: survivors see you bring survivor pudding, they disconnect. Also high rank survivors SWF with lower rank for easy points.
Interesting. Haven't had an issue yet with killer at all.
Only problem i had with survivor is having Nurse 11 times in a row.
Apart from that i haven't had a single problem.
