I liked the idea of all survivors getting a onesie.

There is skill to it, though. If you pit a rank 10's preformance against a rank 1, the rank 1 will often take corners better and have a better understanding on how to play the game. They're generally pretty decent with tracking. Compare either with say a rank 15 and there's a huge difference. We can also compare it with the time spent in the game, though skill level generally caps at a point. Nurse is one of the hardest killers to learn in the game, though, and I don't just see those two in higher ranks. I see all kinds of killers, just not the weak ones who need a buff like Freddy.That's not skill. A rank 10's performance is still based on how many mistakes they make. This still applies at rank 1, it's just players at rank 1 make less mistakes. You can learn how to play better just by watching youtube videos.
Not to mention rank means nothing. I've seen great rank 10 killers/survivors and trash rank 1 killers/survivors.
Nurse is only hard in the first few hours. You learn her blink and shes the easiest because you don't have to deal with a mechanic of the game that every other killer does; looping and pallets.
Freddy is not even weak by the way. He gives so much information with his ability and can slow the game down to a crawl. Clown has the weakest ability in the game currently, as it literally does nothing. People who think Freddy is the worse killer are people just jumping on the bandwagon, or just don't know how to play him.

Not only does the survivor get a free escape, the real problem is that the killer instantly loses any pressure on the game his playing.
Why do so many survivors hate Legion? Same reason all killers hate DS. There is no counter play.

I'm saying that if you're doing something that takes skill, you should be rewarded for it. A doctor standing next to someone with his hand out isn't really skilled play. Someone hanging around nearby just to immediately down the person if they're unhooked isn't really skilled play, either. I'm not saying there isn't times that call for such methods. I'm just saying it's boring. I'd get bored if I did that as killer.
Why do you only take a portion of what I post and omit the rest of it btw? Genuinely wondering.This isn't a skill based game. This game relies on players to make mistakes. You're playing the wrong game if you want something skill based. Why do you think most players, especially in the higher ranks, play Billy or Nurse? It's not because they take skill, it's because they are easiest killers to win with.
I'm replying to a part of your post because the rest is irrelevant to my reply.

Alternatively, I should ask. Why should killers be given the chance to catch survivors?Probably because it's the objective of the game. All survivors get caught because of there own errors, not because the game let them.
The killers job is to kill. Not to let you have a free escape because it's 'fair'.

"Survivor Handbook" 'cause the only one wanting the game to play out a certain way is survivors. Killers have just about as much control of survivors and tell me why exactly killers should get buffs if they're just going to camp anyway? 'Cause it's easy and brain dead and rewarding to do so. Also part of the survivor handbook: no teabagging, ds, don't loop strong spots, etc. Since, y'know. Survivors are clearly the only one who make rules to play nicely with each other, right?
All I'm saying is brain dead/lazy methods shouldn't be more rewarding than methods that are actually challenging and take talent. c: That's all. Doesn't matter what kind of main you are, that much should be apparent.I don't main anything. I play both killer and survivor at rank 1. At the end of the day, the killer is going to play how he wants and survivors can't tell a killer how to play his role. The killers role is to 'kill', not let you get away or give you a chance. Your 'fair play' means i have to let you go. No, that is not a killers role.
As a survivor, i don't care if i get facecamped or tunnelled. I'm a good enough looper to make the killer lose the game for chasing me. i don't fault a killer if he wants to secure his kill. That's his job. I move onto my next game and don't let it bother me. I don't even remember the killers name.
It's not a good strategy, but there are no 'survivor rules' to say he can't play how he wants. Tunnelling and camping are legitimate strategies to secure a kill.

Can I just say how beautiful PC looks on this game. Everything is just so much smoother! I’ve hit so much more great skill checks than on console. (It’s actually a lot more easier). Lagging wasn’t so bad either and the framerates. UGH it’s beautiful.I played it on my bf’s pc because he’s had it purchased from a long time ago and just wow. I’m actually amazed.
Super jealous with everything honestly! I noticed that as soon as I search for a lobby on pc it would immediately put me in one (for both killer and survivor) but when I do that on PS4 it takes me 5-10 minutes or more sometimes.
Can’t move to PC because I have a laptop and that’s not really fitting for games. Plus I have lots of time, cosmetics, and I’ve spent money on console. I’m pretty sure there’s no way to transfer your data onto PC.
Feels super sad man.
Really? I have to play on low with a beast PC because the game is poorly optimised.

Need to stop rewarding tokens for removing someone off a hook.Tokens should only be rewarded for a safe unhook. Please don't reward bad behavior with bonus points.
Did you check if the killer and survivor were friends because it looks like they were working together, which is bannable.

@fluffybunny said:
Like I said before, I wish they rewarded "fair" play more and tunneling and camping less.'Playing fair' is a rule in the Survivors Handbook of Made-up Rules.
Killers have all the power and they dictate how the game is going to play out, not the survivors, and they need to understand that. Too many survivors think they control the game when they don't. If you get caught, the only person you can blame is yourself, not the killer.

Nurse and Billy i don't like vs'ing, because there is an overabundance of them at red ranks.
Love vs'ing Pig. Her pallet stun noise is the best.

The frustration is in how many killers and survivors are acting. I can't tell you how many killers have flat out said they only care about denying survivors points. They'll camp, tunnel, mori, do whatever to stop them from geting them. I've never seen so many insidious campers in a 48 hr period. Add in the survivors that are sandbagging and avoiding gens in order to play for hatch...this event is horrid.I see this on a daily basis. No different from an event. It's that you notice it more because your grinding for something and someone is denying you of that.
I'll mori, slug, tunnel and camp if it comes to that for the 4K. Has nothing to do with the event.

Dead by Daylight has the worst events I've ever seen, and consistently.When I'm looking at what game to play for the day I remember that dbd has the event going and I'm like, no thanks.
Why do they make them so frustrating?
Why is this event frustrating? Do gens and leave, get points. Hook people as killer, get points.
This event isn't even an effort. You're doing the exactly the same thing when playing normally.
Too many people are used to farming with the killer during events. Now that they want to play normally during an event, it's toxic.

@Chicken said:
its not the communication, but its knowing who they are and what they do when X happens...
THAT IS COMMUNICATION.Well its not. That's just playing with good survivors that know what they are doing.
-
I play both sides.
You shouldn't even be worried about SWF's at rank 15 until your higher ranks. SWF's mean squat at that rank. Communication doesn't help their bad plays.
What does it achieve knowing who is in a SWF? So you can tunnel a guy and hope his friend gives up? So you can just dodge games because your too scared to lose?
Not to mention, not all SWF's communicate, they might just play together like most of my friends on Steam.
It's not going to be the communication that's going to destroys you, it's about knowing you can rely on your teammates, because you know how they play, instead of randoms. A good SWF doesn't need coms.
And no, blocking out perks will just make the game less fun.
I don't like vs'ing Billys, so do you think it's okay to deny them perks, just because i don't want to vs them?

@Damarus said:
While the idea of an event in itself is nice, the way it was designed is astonishgly lackingThey received a lot of backlash from their last event, adding another objective was not they way to go, so they tied it in with the main objective, like it was suggested. That is why it is as simple as it is.
@Damarus said:
Killers get many less points than survivors, resulting in almost every killer playing the survivor role, increasing waiting times for a lobby. Points needed to get a coin increase for every single coin you already got, making it an endless grind, rather than something you play because you have fun.It's not even a grind. The event goes for 13 days. I've got 6 coins in 2 days playing normally, that is both killer and survivor. Stop pretending it's a grind when you can obtain all skins playing normal.
@Damarus said:
Not to mention the absurd amount of sweaty killers this event has brought, effectively increasing tunneling even more (and I didn't think ot was even possible). Am seeing NOEDs, tunneling, camping, Ruin, Nurse's and BBQ in EVERY SINGLE MATCH since the start of this event.Why are you even surprised anymore? This happens EVERY event.

-
@ToxicFengM1n said:
this is a broken af add-on that allows exposed status effect for the entire match that can be easily used with add-ons increasing stalk speed, exactly why does it exist and where is the balance with that?You know Billy has an Instadown all game right? Yet your complaining about an infinite teir 3? Myers at least has to do something to get his and unless someone feeds him, you are fine. At the end of the day, he can still be looped like every killer (except Nurse).
-
His ultra rare auto-set traps should be built in. I think this is really the only addon that makes him viable to play.
It's not fun picking up a trap and setting it exactly where you picked it up and getting disarmed again because someone seen you.
Not to mention, they STILL haven't fixed the darken trap addons yet so they are as clear as day to see.
Different traps does sound fun though.

My idea is for a perk that once gates power, 2/3/4 survivors get a token. Healing from injured state to healthy state does not heal you, it instead removes token and resets the healing bar to zero.No. But Adrenaline shouldn't heal you or give you the speed bonus if you have just been unhooked though. It's a bit silly for a perk to activate when you have been unhooked.
Noed is a direct counter to adrenaline.

I thought they pulled it out because they had problems with it?
Just like Freddy and DS rework. So it will be completely ignored now.
-
Just play like normal and you will finish the event. Why people think its a grind when they don't have all cosmetics in the first 2 days is beyond me.
-
You don't even need to touch gens to get points so i'm just playing like normal and grabbing a lantern if i seen one. Not avoiding the game just because an event -_-
-
The title of the post is misleading. Blocking both exit gates so no-one can leave is bannable as it's considered as taking the game hostage. Both players should of been reported.
-
Bodyblocking is fine. Taking the game hostage is bannable.

@Tsulan said:
Yeah sure... nurse is easy to play.
The reason why you only see those killers is because others are simply not viable on those ranks.
Want endless survivor queues on rank 1? Just nerf those killers.There not viable because they have to deal with a mechanic of the game; Looping.
And no other killer has that kind of map pressure except Billy.

CronaWins said:I avoid Nurse and Billy every game and just DC. Games are just boring vs'ing the same 2 killers over and over again when there are 14 killers in total.
Unfortunately, Billy and Nurse are way to high of tier and are unbalanced compared to every other killer, not to mention they are the easiest killers in game and take absolutely no skill to play.
Please don't bait.
Don't bait what?
I play both killer and survivor at rank 1 (before anyone jumps on the survivor main bandwagon). I know how strong these killers are from both sides and i know how easy they are to play. I can efficiently 4K mid-game compared to every other killer. It's really the insane map pressure they have compared to every other killer that makes them able to dominate so easily.
So yeah, when the player base isn't as large and you get the same killers over and over again. The game becomes stale and boring. There is a reason they are the most played killers at rank 1, and it's not because their hard to play.
-
Haven't you read the Book of Survivors made-up rules for Dead By Daylight?
My favourite one is "Can't camp a survivor on hook to secure the kill when exit gates are open. You have to give them to chance to escape".

What it's like to vs Australian survivors everyday WITH perks. Ruin? Sit on gen. Injured? Sit on gen. In heartbeat? Sit on gen.
We don't even bother running self-care because you're wasting gen time healing.
This is what it is like to vs GOOD survivors, instead of the trash that he gets in his lobbies the majority of the time.

So your saying a dc is deserved because; you and the team were overconfident with a bad chaser, to focused on gens to break totems, didn't leave immediately when possible, or just rage when you lose. Yeah, totally sounds like the killer's fault a HEX actually came into effect after (however long the match was).Take accountability for a survivor failure, it only activates due to negligence.Let me put it this way. If i have to run the entire match (i can't do gens or totems if i'm being chased) because of a bad killer who doesn't know when they should leave a chase, and the only way he can catch me is to use NOED, giving him speed, reduced cooldowns and a insta down, why should i be punished for his bad plays and why should i allow him to kill me when he relied on a single perk? Why should i be punished if my team that i cannot talk to did not break any totems?
The ONLY reason people run NOED is because they are bad. Same goes with survivors that have to run DS to survive.

NOED is a clutch perk given to inexperienced/bad killers for free kills when they got outplayed.I would rather give a killer DC bloodpoints then free kills.
How is it a "free kill2 with Noed?
The killer prepared for the endgame by picking a perk.
Running most of the game with a useless perkslot.
The survivor did not cleanse totem and failed to prepare for that endgame.
The killer still had to find, chase and hit the targets.
And still you come here and call it "free kill"?
The game ends if the survivor escape, not when they done the gens.
They "outplay" the killer when they escaped.
If someone gets tombstoned by a Myers in front of the open gates, he has not "outplayed" him.If i run a killer for 5 gens because they are too incompetent to play the game, they don't deserve a free kill. I'm not going allow a killer to hook me and camp my face.
I will forgive killers like Trapper for running it because they don't have the early game.
But if your whole game relies on that one perk for you to win or get your first hook, then you deserve me to DC in your face.
-
Teabagging is a viable tactic for your teammates survival. If you can force a killer to tunnel you for 5 gens and face camp you, so your friends can escape, the killer loses the game (although killer will think they are the real winner).
-

Killing the 3rd last survivor and are allowing hatch to open is your fault. You are allowing the hatch escape.
If you don't want a stand off, then don't allow hatch to spawn.
If you want to 4k then slug and deny hatch. ez.
-
You do realise why we teabag right? We want you to chase us. We want to tunnel us. We want you to camp us. We want you to throw the game for us. That is a win. That is the whole point.
Stop being so thin skinned that someone spamming ctrl on a keyboard can even annoy you.
Some of us have thousands of hours that we don't even bother touching a gen anymore, or care if we escape. Face camping is only your loss. Not mine.

I've already spent over 2 mil on Kate and still only have 3 spooky medkits. Are these items meant to be this rare? I was expecting to get items i could actually use, not sit in my inventory because of the rarity.
