See this and bugs is what they need to address instead of new content. New content is cool and all but what's the point in releasing it if the game doesn't function well.

This is only very recent. Not like this issue has been around since last patch. Feels more like they may have changed something in the matchmaking without telling us.

  • Who cares. You can tunnel all you like if you feel like it.

Don't obey made up survivor rules of what you can and can't do. They don't get to dictate how you play.

  • I'm noticing instant lobbies into red ping at the moment.

  • Freddy isn't as bad as people believe he is.

I'm not even an experienced Freddy player.

  • Personally, as a rank 1 killer and survivor, i don't think it needs to be changed. I think it is in a good spot right where it is.

Someone suggested that small game should be buffed to show the remaining totems, and this would be something i could get behind.

The only problem i believe with NOED is not knowing if all totems have been destroyed if your playing solo and getting punished for it.

  • BattleMick. The most boosted survivor/killer in Australia. :)

I'm a rank 1 killer, i can tell you that Noed is not a good perk. Why? Because the game is over before all gens are finished. Survivors will complain about everything because they didn't get to escape.

You will find that the majority of complaints come from lower ranked survivors where killers tend to rely on Noed, but that is exactly the reason those killers are still at low ranks.

All the survivor mains complaining about Noed only play at trash tier levels and expect a free escape.

Or... some of us just think its bad design? And have an opinion on ways to improve bad design?

Some people are just more whiny than others - doesn't make their opinion any less valid. Discussing changes, why or why not someone think a perk needs some, is productive even is this form. Yes, it is. Because regardless its community feedback; although most of it is taken with a grain of salt, we must encourage discussions. Not dismiss them.

I don't really care if they change it or not. I don't run the perk because it's a bad perk.

And no, lets get real here. People don't complain because it's bad design, they complained because the killer gets a free insta down. Don't try and spin it in another direction when what your stating is false.

The only design flaw is the fact that you don't know how many totems are done or how many are left, and this can be done by tweaking other perks.

I forgot to add something! Jee, thank you!

Opinions like yours that degrade people, ARE the ones nobody cares about. I totally just remembered that - thank you!

Not sure how you feel degraded, i'm just stating the facts.

Of the times i have used the perk, I've never had someone complain in the end game chat how badly designed the perk is. I've just had salty survivors talking about it being a crutch perk, or a free insta down. Nothing to do with bad design.

And if you have ever noticed that no-one complained about tier 1 and 2 of the perk until the insta down was added.

@CronaWins you don’t play survivor obviously. People get caught even great survivors get caught gtfo

I play killer and survivor both at rank 1 :)

I've had games where i wasn't see the entire game. However, i had to change my entire play style . If you really don't want to get caught, you won't.

how can you counter a 4 man swf with coms? You can't counter discord lol

SWF's don't instantly make players bad players good at the game. The only time i've ever had problematic games is at red ranks and that's regardless if they are in a SWF or not. Good players will always be good players. Anyone below that is trash regardless if they are on comms or not.

Not everyone wants to play as Billy, and the game shouldn’t have been designed around the only way reaching high level play is with certain killers.

I'm referring to being prepared to vs a good SWF with insta heals. You can play who you want, but your going to be in for a harder time if you can't instantly down a survivor so they can't use it. You need to counter play as killer. That's the entire reason you can see survivor items in the first place.

    @Master said:
They reduce it a little, but that doesnt change the fact that there is a cd

At this point, i'm not going to bother arguing with you because I'm not interested in discussing lower rank plays.

  • Who cares. 'Tunnelling' is a word they use because they got caught. They use the word like it's a rule that you can't chase the same survivor multiple times.

As the killer, do as you please.

  • For Hag: Ruin, M&A, Nurses and MYC

Doctor: Unnerving presence, Distressing, BBQ and Ruin.

I had it happen to me, you are litreally helpless in such a case. Maybe I should uninstall, but since even streamers playing the game for a living have this happen to them, I dont think that Im the problem

That's what happens at rank 10. If you really have trouble, there's addons for a reason.

Streamers get paid to play the game, doesn't mean their good at it.

    Addons for what?

    For cooldown.

  • It's a anti tunnel perk now and the killer can maintain his pressure on the game.

I like it as survivor and killer.

    Survivors must have it hard.

You don't need perks or items to win as it is.

Try playing billy, nurse or spirit. Qutie honestly 4k'ing ever game is boring enough as it is

    Then play other killers?

As a rank 1 survivor main, the game is already easy enough.

  • Survivors must have it hard.

You don't need perks or items to win as it is.

You’re looking at it from one side only. I understand why killers do it. I’m just asking for fairness or to be double blind.

It already is fair, that's why you see items, for counter play.

How is it fair to get gen rushed from 4 toolboxes when i don't know whether to bring Franklin's or not?

Survivors already have it easy. They don't need it easier.

  • @HeroLives said:
Make it where the killer can’t see who the survivors are either. Seems fair, and a lot less likely to disconnect in match and than reset a lobby. Double blind that #########.

Or you know make it so survivors can see which killer we are playing against so we can make our builds accordingly as well. Which also seems fair. I’m just saying if they can bring a mori Bc they see toolboxes and medkits or equip franklins Bc of it. I’d like to know if I’m going against a doctor so I can bring calm spirit yo!

That's whole point of seeing items, and the reason why survivors can't see killers, is so you can counter play.

The reason they dc is because they don't know how to counter play and want to run the generic build instead.

  • End game before 5 gens. Not that hard. Also Enduring. They won't get far.

  • @Master said:

  • Nurse have map presences, ignores a base mechanic of the game; pallets and looping.

She's the easiest killers in the game. She doesn't have a high skill level when people think she does. A few hours playing Nurse and you should have blinking down pat.

  • @Master said:
I didnt get that part, the killer (take billy for example) downs someone, his friends insta heals him up and you say that they are back down. How are they back down? They got fully healed, now they will loop again?

And you say that I dont need to bring all perks you listed, but then I cant counter the stuff you mentioned?

Chainsaw downs in one hit. Insta med in killers face. Chainsaw downed again. Not sure how hard that is to comprehend.

If you can't do that then you should uninstall.

If you rely on perks and addons in the first place, which you don't need, then your bad at the game anyway.

    I've already answered that question.

  • While they have improved in mori animations, i would like to see some of the older mori's changed. However, if they do change them, it may take a little while as there are more pressing matters they need to fix.

And everything i mentioned apart from deadhard and DS was an item right?

If the survivors bring 4 insta-meds you're not going to bring lightborn are you? lul

You do realize that items can be picked up again?

    I didn't say they couldn't be.

Your response to mine was talking about perk slots and that you can't bring all the perks i listed. I pointed out that you don't need to run all perks i listed. I used 4 Insta meds as an example of why you wouldn't bring Lightborn as a perk...

If your going to grasp onto my example, i'll give you an even better example to counter insta meds. Play a killer with an insta down like Billy or Leatherface. If they are down, they can't heal. If their friends heals, they are back down.

Like i said, everything listed is easily counter-able and nothing mentioned is toxic.

Am i the only one that thinks Freddy is a mid tier killer? I don't understand people jumping on the bandwagon. Please explain why he is worse then Clown and why clown is better?

Freddy is better against bad survivors, while Clown is better against good survivors. Freddy is similar to Legion, decent against survivors who have no clue what to do. If they just split up and do gens and loop while chased (basically highlevel gameplay), Freddy is countered and has to wait 7s before a hit. He cant even camp effectively, which is one of the usual gamewinning moments when killers start to lose.

Clown can slow down survivors and cut chases short. And good loopers hate when they're slowed down and their route doesnt work out anymore. So they have to make supoptimal plays, like predropping pallets and not taking windows. Stopping them from playing like good loopers. But other than freddy, clown gets genrushed easily if his chases aren't consistently good. He is overall pretty hard to play, while Freddy can just run around and tag people and has more room for error. Freddy may seem stronger in your everyday game, but when you're against good survivor teams, Clown is better.

Good loopers can loop the Clown :/ Players can easily out loop the clown because cutting a loop short just means they move to the next loop. The clown power makes one less rotation for a loop, i don't see how that is good. His chase power is rubbish. I've never seen a good survivor lose to a Clown.

If you're basing your tier list in chase power then yes, but Freddy isn't about chase, he is about control and his control is better then the Clown's chase.

Freddy has aura reading, information and his ability has the power to slow the game to a crawl, better then the Pig does. I've seen survivors throw pallets early and killers getting free hits.

I'm a red rank player on both killer and survivor and honestly, i've seen Freddy players 4k more consistently then Clown.

    Deadhard? Wait before swinging

Medkits? As stated, Franklin's Demise. Normal metkits? Sloppy butcher.

DS? Enduring or dribble to the hook.

Not sure how anything you mention is even remotely toxic since these are items in game.

    Learn and adapt.

It’s all well and good saying this, except not every player will have all perks unlocked for that level of flexibility. And even if all 4 of these perks are equipped, if the survivors start strategising in an unexpected way making you regret not using an entirely different loadout?

If your not prepared, then dodge the lobby. :)

Add-ons should be used to tweak an already balanced power and not be used to make up for weaknesses in the killers
base kit. This would allow for more choice in what add-ons to bring.

Here are some examples of add-on dependency:

    Trapper: trap carry capacity
    Wraith: movement speed/uncloak
    Huntress: hatchet wind up time
    Hag: teleport range
    Cannibal: chainsaw charge time
    Doctor: shock therapy range
    Clown: effect duration/hindered

*As a side note, having to go through a blood-web after every game/other game just to get certain add-ons makes killers even more grind dependent than it is for perks and hurts killer variety.

All these killers are effective without these addons.

If your relying on any addons, you're doing it wrong.

Multiplayer games are designed to be played with friends.

If you only want a solo game, then go play a single player game.

The game is not exactly a multiplayer bro !
    It's asymetrical 4x1.
    Extremely SWF side.
Your argument is the dumbest in this thread.

5 players is more then 1 player, that makes multiple players, hence why it's a multiplayer game. Being a asymmetrical 4v1 doesn't make it a single player game, so i'm not sure who is dumber at this point before replying to the rest of your comment.

It's not extremely SWF sided, and i believe this as a rank 1 killer main and a rank 1 survivor. No SWF below red ranks is good, and that's because they aren't good players. A team is only as good as it's players, and you will have a hard time at higher ranks regardless if it is a SWF or good solo players.

You notice when you're against a SWF, and you notice when you lose to a SWF, but blaming your loss on the fact that they are in a SWF is an excuse. You lost because they are good players, not because they are playing together.

Besides, removing SWF just means people are going to dodge lobbies more, so they get in lobbies with their friends, like they did before the option to SWF.

  • If you have high ping then leave. You've obviously connected to someone not in your region.

There is no region lock so this should be expected.

No. It’s not i.e. friends. i.e. means ‘in other words’. What you’re looking for is ‘e.g.’, an example.

Playing with friends is an example of multiplayer gaming - it is not the definition of multiplayer gaming.

Yes. Most multiplayer games enable playing with friends. But very few enable a group of 4 friends using voice comms to go up against a solo player. Most multiplayer games that enable playing with friends put you up against other groups of players that also have the ability to use voice communication

Imagine having 12 of the best COD players, splitting them into 2 teams but only allowing 1 team to use voice comms. It’s unbalanced. Just in the same way that having 4 people using voice comms against a solo player in DBD is unbalanced.

It really isn’t that hard to understand.

Being from a smaller community, you tend to know who everyone is. You know who is bad and who is good. The defining moment when i know i'm going to be in for a bad time, is when i have 4 good players in my lobby.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if they are in a SWF, it doesn't matter if they are using voice comms, i'm still going to have a hard time regardless.

Take 4 trash players in a SWF with voice comms and the game is still just as easy as it would be if they solo queued. Just because they are on voice comms doesn't make them any better at the game.

Your COD comparison is referring to the best players. Your always going to have a hard time vs'ing the best players. SWF is talking about players that play in a group. Being in a SWF doesn't mean they are good at the game.

  • @Master said:
Even though they are complete plebs, they still are aware that hes being chased and all worked on gens

Not hard to work on a gen while not in killer radius. Any good solo player will sit on a gen in killers heartbeat regardless if someone is being chased or not so it really doesn't matter that they are in a SWF.

Only bad players hide at the first sign of the killers radius.

No they're not. Multiplayer games are designed to be played with multiple players.

The ability to play with friends is a feature of certain multiplayer games. In Dead By Daylight, playing with friends whilst using voice communication grants an overwhelmingly unbalanced advantage to the survivors, rendering the game far more difficult and unenjoyable for the killer.

    Multiple players, i.e. friends.

I don't know any multiplayer game that doesn't have a group system designed to play with friends.

  • This sounds like your making bloodlust into a perk that requires extra steps.

Theoretically, you could have an increased 4% speed the entire game which would be way to strong as bloodlust isn't needed as it is.

  • Multiplayer games are designed to be played with friends.

If you only want a solo game, then go play a single player game.

  • I don't understand why survivors think they can dictate how a killer is played. You are not in control. You have no say in what the killer wants to do. If you want a say, then play killer yourself.

You as a survivor cannot tell a killer how to play his role. The killers plays as he sees fit. He is not there to be friendly, he is not there to be respectful. He is not there to be fair. The reason they are called killers, is because they are there to kill.

As killer, he can camp and tunnel as he sees fit. If you don't like the way the killer is playing his role, no-one is stopping you from leaving. Don't blame the killer for securing his kill, blame yourself for getting caught.

A killer is not going to tell you how you should play your role, so don't tell them how to play theirs.

  • @TreemanXD said:

  • It's because survivors believe they have a say on how a killer has to play his role, so they make up rules of what your not allowed to do.

They forget that a killer's role is to kill, not give out free hugs.

Nothing feels better then a salty survivor who thinks he can tell me how i should play.
