Yep. No longer activates if you are unhooked
That wasn't in the patch notes though and it still says in the perk description it was supposed to activate. So they either need to fix the bug or they need to update the perk description.

Nope. I just stay injured

Yeah, but it doesn't at the current moment. That is my point. Adrenaline has had multiple instances where it just never went off

I feel the same way. Each killer is supposed to have their own skill level from what I have heard, but even with the killers I get my ass kicked with I still end up against survivors who are the equivalent of SEAL Team Six. I am restricted to a certain group of killers and as them I have to sweat super hard to even do remotely well. It isn't getting any better either and makes me not wanna play killer.
Survivor on the other hand I am being queued with killers of my skill level, but the survivors I am with are idiots. They don't assist in the slightest and I am almost positive they are newer (white rank) players who don't understand the game. I don't have people to play survivor with so I solo queue and it makes me not wanna play survivor either.
Truthfully this game has not been truly fun for me in a long time. This game has slowly been getting more boring as time goes on and I believe it is a mixture of devs not keeping things fresh and me having played for so long before. I had a bit of fun one night recently where I had a full 4 man SWF and we just messed around, but apart from that I haven't enjoyed this game at all. I get online trying to have fun and it feels as if this game sucks that fun away from me. I hope something changes, but I'm not banking on it

My match size is smaller but I feel like I get alot of the same. I would agree I get a lot of coldwind with her which is not as bad as it was with the old corn blindness. Its funny I play maybe 20 a week on a good week but I swear I see alot of lerys as well and spirits level
I get the Yamoaka Estate with many killers but Huntress is never one of them. I think I tend to get that map more as survivor
-
This. Always better to take the precaution then to end up getting screwed in the end

@Gamedozer7 said:
lve wanted to play like 100 games as huntress and see the number of times I get certain maps but I really suck at huntress
I've played probably about 50-70 this week as her. I have seen Macmillan about 3 or 4 times, Autohaven 2 or 3 times, Coldwind 10-12 times, the Asylum twice, Badham twice, Haddonfield once, Ormond 5 times, Red Forest 5 or 6 times and the rest of the time it was Midwich or Hawkins

@Anniehere said:
Use your map offerings when you play with a specific killer like Huntress. problem solved?
My RNG is broken as well and i decided to use my map offerings. 50% of the time other players are not bringing one and it doesn't go to waste.
Point is that I shouldn't always have to use a map offering to avoid being screwed. Map rotation should be random.

To be fair it's not my original idea but when someone mentioned it it made perfect sense and I've been championing it since. There are something like 36 maps in this game with more than 20 of them just being slight variants of the same realm. So, basically, we've got about 15 or 16 realms (or thereabouts). I have no idea why they can't set the rotation to go through each realm once, and only once, before restarting the shuffle. It's incredibly lame that the people who hate Hawkins or Midwich have to play through it several times a day. It's incredibly lame that people who are tired of Macmillan or Coldwind have to go through 7 of their ten variants before something else shows up. This is definitely something that I wish they'd address.
Me too. I've noticed as survivor I get the same maps a lot too. And to be honest if I see the Wretched Shop of Autohave or any Autohaven map for that matter pop up again before the end of this week as survivor I will lose it! I have totaled it to be 12 times this week I have gotten this map. That exact variant.
-
@miketheratguy said:

I've also noticed that the character I choose sometimes seems to change the rotation. Again, it could be confirmation bias, but if I'm noticing changes when I play as a different character, that suggests to me that SOMETHING may be up.
If someone has the time and inclination - and I may do this myself at some point - it would be interesting to play ten matches each using a series of different characters and see if there's any pattern. Of course ten matches is a very small sample, but if for example Hawkins only shows up for someone like Huntress, as you said, whereas Macmillan keeps showing up for Doctor, like me, it might be worth some conversation. I don't want to get conspiratorial or anything but I've had the "map rotation sucks" conversation several times before and it always turns out that the maps that one person keeps getting and the maps that the other person is never getting. I mean look at us, same thing. I WANT Hawkins. I WANT Lery's. I WANT Midwich. I WANT The Game. Is it a coincidence then that I get a combination of maybe two of any of them over the course of ten hours of gameplay?
Gamedozer7 said that he feels that there's map priority based on who you choose and to be honest I think that there's a very strong chance that this is true.
I agree. Like it is setting you up for failure in advance
-
Billy was because of his map pressure while having the ability to Instadown someone when in the right hands. I'm sad they changed his base kit. The base kit never needed to be changed.
As for survivor, I started out not knowing about teachable perks so I picked Ace cause I thought he looked cool. A year into the game's release on console I had Ace prestige one and noticed he was a rare main so I enjoyed the fact I had a rare prestige.
-
Because on smaller maps Wraith will destroy with his cloak speed. Add that to the fact that every Wraith I see seems to have a silent bell with a purple All-Seeing add-on and it can get super annoying super quick

@miketheratguy said:
"Allow me to explain".
Dude, not even slightly necessary. I was with you right from the title alone. I love this game - I truly genuinely love it, despite its issues - but the map "rotation" or whatever they choose to call it is absolutely abysmal. I don't see any rotation at all. What I see is an utterly random shuffling that heavily favors a handful of the same maps. I don't see any kind of system in place that ensures that every map will get a run before the cycle shuffles again. I don't see anything in place that balances the weight of a realm that has 1 unique map as opposed to a realm that has 5 nearly identical ones. A few months ago I was getting so annoyed with getting the same 5-6 maps all day that I literally thought it was a bug and contacted BHVR about it. They said that they'd look into it but that at that time the maps were set to be randomized. I'm sorry but if I set my music playlist to random and it keeps playing the same ten songs out of fifty, either it's not random or it's broken.
Strangely I've noticed that the clump of maps that people get seem to differ from person to person. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people saying that kept getting maps that I hadn't seen all week, and vice versa. And it also seems to change. There was a while when I was getting Coldwind NONSTOP. Then last week or so it was Macmillan after Macmillan after Macmillan. Now it seems like it's nothing but Macmillan, Ormond, Coldwind, Yamaoka and Crotus. It's been at lest 2 weeks or more since I've seen Hawkins, The Game (to be fair I hear that this one is still disabled for no explained reason), Dead Dawg, or RCPD.
I know that there's a bit of placebo / confirmation bias to this. I understand that maps that people hate will stand out more, and maps that people love will feel underused. But there's legit truth to the fact that these maps are NOT evenly spaced as they should be, absolutely 100 percent NOT given the same equal chance to appear (and, again, given that some maps are unique and some are needlessly repeated five times over, they shouldn't be - every REALM should have an exactly equal chance of spawning a map, and those realms should then NOT show up again until all the other realms have had the chance to spawn a map of theirs as well. THEN it should cycle back around. I don't know what the system is now, but that isn't it.
The saloon is still disabled. And yeah I agree, it is more noticeable since I dislike the maps, but as killer this week I think I have gotten Autohaven and MacMillan both once or twice, but I know for a fact I have seen both Midwich and Hawkins at least 5 times since Monday. Honestly it is ridiculous and makes me wanna play people like Clown so I can't get screwed over by map choice. The map selection has made killer genuinely unfun to play this past week and more often than not I found myself getting frustrated just upon loading into the game knowing the headache that would ensue. There definitely needs to be a system in place like you said. I feel like I don't see half of the maps anymore unless an offering is used.

I swear I feel the same way like there is a map priority for certain killer.
Honestly I wonder if survivors notice the same like do they get huntress 60% of the time there on lerys?
I've noticed most of my games on Hawkins have been for killers who aren't great on that map when playing survivor. It is usually a Trapper (no cover for traps) a Huntress (too many walls) or a Deathslinger (same as Huntress)
-
These are mine in no particular order
- BBQ and Chili: The bloodpoint bonus automatically puts this on the list. But the ability to see survivors is also another reason for bringing it on a lot of killers. It helps you with map pressure and finding people on gens which is essential.
- Ruin: I've said before it doesn't make a difference, but not having to kick a generator every time is really helpful and saves a lot of time even if you don't realize it.
- Pop Goes the Weasel: Don't typically run this because of Ruin, but when paired with something like BBQ and Chili it works wonders
- Nurse's Calling: You would be surprised just how many survivors at red rank like to heal right next to the killer. This teaches them a lesson, or at the very least tells me that there is one less person on a gen.
- Corrupt Intervention: Saves time on checking gens in the beginning allowing you to find survivors quicker. Plus sets up a 3 gen for you if that is your thing.
- Dying Light: This is more powerful than anyone realizes so long as you get hooks quick enough.
- Franklin's Demise: Pretty self explanatory. Getting tired of flashlights and keys.
Honorable mentions
No One Escapes Death: Been running this more lately because if survivors wanna be ######### then I will too. But I don't like running it and don't believe any killer should need this.
Haunted Grounds: Good, but not when being ran with other hex perks. Doesn't get cleansed half the time, and if cleansed at a bad time makes the perk useless.
Tinkerer: Only beneficial on certain killers
-
Because when used correctly to prolong a loop, it becomes really good (and really obnoxious if you are the killer). When being used just to avoid a hit it is essentially useless as the killer will just swing again like many others have said. Only exception being running to the exit gate. Typically when not being used for distance it doesn't work because either they were in a deadzone with no real plan as a I said before or because the killer expected it and just didn't swing.

Good cause I hate them both. Can we make this permanent and add Midwich into the mix?
Midwich can honestly suck it. I never get it except when I play Huntress, Trickster or Billy. All killers that get exceptionally screwed by that map. And it is the map I get 80 percent of the time as those killers

Actually without the cakes I've noticed it is non-intentional or due to stupidity. This event however is causing people to do it intentionally, with them making it very obvious they are giving you away with no intention of rescuing you.

Literally, I had three games in a row with NOED, so I'm like "######### it" and put on detectives and now if they're playing funny I'm like "this guy has NOED" but...of course NO ONE USES IT now that I have detectives
Bro I honestly feel that one! Now that I'm running small game nobody has NOED. I try taking it off, boom. Hit with NOED.

Yes there has been an increase in NOED I have noticed it in red ranks. That is why I run detective hunch's and destroy all totems if the killer is performing bad. But if not I always keep a mental note of where all the totems are located at. But even the stats showed NOED was the 3 most popular perk for killers. So always destroy dull totems.
Trust me I do. I started running Inner Strength and Small Game religiously. As long as I have time, I break any totem I see

This is one reason why it is a terrible designed Perk. There is no way for Survivors to do all Gens AND all Totems while one person is camped on the Hook. A camping Killer with NOED is basically guaranteed to get 2 Kills.
That is true. Even with small game I feel that in order to punish a killer who is camping I have to ignore my small game to do gens. Doesn't help that they made all tiers one hit down so now it is even more common. Honestly I wouldn't mind the effect of NOED as much if you had to work for it and maybe earn tokens for it
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Camping and NOED usually go hand in hand.
Yeah I've noticed that. Most of the time they don't get a chance to camp till late game anyway cause they can't catch anyone
-
People get mad about this. Really? If a killer is gonna camp, they are gonna camp. I just laugh when I see it. 95 percent of the time you will die by the end of my match anyway
-
I've seen a few posts like this before. The short answer? Probably not. I've been playing since the game first came out on console back when items in the bloodweb had prices based of where they were located, not rarity. And when you only ever got two perks in the bloodweb. That grind back then was horrendous compared to now and we never got anything special so doubt they will start now. It would be nice, but I'm not gonna hold my breath

they did, now all I hooe is that they will make it playable again at least for some days.
Ofc it would have been better to actually fix the game before extending the event, they cah extend it for afes but if they don't fix the game, it is pointless cos it is impossible to play anyways.
Lately I am only farming as a killer because having a real and competitive match is utopistic with those frame drops.
Yeah you would think they would fix the game first so console can experience the event. Guess not

Yeah, or the BHVR will cave to complaints, like with allowing Hooks to respawn.
To be fair, I disagreed with having the hooks respawn without the old variant of Hangman's Trick. It was a change that wasn't needed and made the killer think before they hooked somebody. I think the hooks should have better spawns though so you don't get stuck in a corner of the map without one.
-
There is people who will never accept that others can play the way they want (so long as they aren't actually cheating obviously). At the end of the day everyone paid money for the game and everyone will play the way that they see fit. Sure you will find people who have playstyles you don't like, but that is life. Move on to the next match.
-
@Shaped said:
I don't need a compensation. I just wish that some of us can play the game again without severe issues.
I know the state the game is in. I feel sorry for everyone affected. The reason I (and from what I have seen) and many others want compensation is because this was a major blunder. The issues should not have ever gotten this bad and certain issues should not be going this long without a fix.
-
Eh. Kinda feel like this would lead to survivors not playing. We already see the same perks used over and over, especially in high rank. The only real reason for variety is that there is only 4 slots and some people see more value in one perk than another. Adding two extra slots would contribute to seeing the same perks every game. Plus 6 slowdown perks would make the game super boring and tedious for survivor. Not to mention be dull to play with as killer

As killer? because that's what's happening, because survivor queues are instant.
Everyone is playing killer.
Wednesday night was survivor. Thursday night was killer. I'm sure the matchmaking is fine for right now. They managed to fix it. Again. The real test will be in a few hours to see if it goes down again like it has the past two days
-
I think it should have some minor changes. Should definitely have two uses per game to make it more anti-tunnel. Issue here is then a slug meta will kick in. Other thing is that survivors are still playing offensively with it when it is not meant for that.
-
@Nicholas said:
They should offer an exclusive charm for things like this, target players within the window of the problem. This is what we see in other games in addition to the in-game currency being offered.
They should, but seeing as who the devs are I doubt it. All they did was extend the event. I doubt we are getting more then that.
-
@Seraphor said:
But matchmaking has always been broken. This isn't some new problem that has manifested with the event, it's due to the players who are playing at the time.
This is like saying "and killers keep camping and tunnelling."
No, this is different. Even when there is a lower number of players, you still find matches fairly quick (maximum of 20 minutes). This is due to the matchmaking expanding the rank gap between players as well as matchmaking with other regions. But I sat in a lobby for two and a half hours Wednesday night and an hour and a half Thursday night and did not find a match whatsoever. That is broken matchmaking.
-
Like many others have said, his base kit never needed a nerf. But the issue is also that when survivors see and killer that is good they complain and get it nerfed because they want easy wins. Unfortunately those people are more vocal in the community then the players who just play and counter the killer. So they typically get what they want.
-
This is really the type of crap yall are complaining about right now? Really? The fact that a male killer is not sexy enough for you in a survival horror game? They are supposed to look scary and terrifying. There is no killer that doesn't (apart from trickster). If you want looks on fictionalized characters then go play another game like a dating sim or go watch some anime.

don't expect an answer, as you could see, they only comment unimportant posts, and prefer to avoid the issues...
Yeah. Honestly kinda surprised they haven't removed my thread for pointing out the issues for all to see. I find it funny how they extend the event, but console still can't play and there is abundant disconnects.
-
My only issue with the perk is that it makes you immune to bear traps. I think that feature is a little too busted. Trapper already loses enough time setting up his traps. If you run into a trapped pallet you shouldn't get a free pass
-
Depends honestly. If the killer is newer and he is going after everyone/really struggling then kinda. I won't tbag or flashlight click or blind him at pallets, etc. Once the camping and stuff breaks out though where the new killer is actively trying to ruin everyone else's fun I play seriously. I will loop them to no end if I have to. The last thing we need is toxicity in this game and if new people wanna be toxic they get what they deserve from me.
-
It's funny to see survivors complain about this. You complain about tunnelling, yet most survivors taunt or play offensively in some way after being unhooked (baiting a chase with decisive, body blocking with borrowed time, etc.). You get mad at the killer for playing their role optimally just the same as you do yours. If one person is healthy and one person is injured, I will capitalize on your mistakes as a team. Blame your idiot teammates who unhook you right in front of the killer. Blame your teammates who will refuse to take aggro from you. If you can't rely on your team then I guess you better get even better at running so you don't go down at all because one thing is for sure, nobody is gonna cater to you and what you consider fun. They are going to play the game optimally and do what is fun for them.
-
The answers you will get here will vary. Everyone has a different idea of what is fun. I know people who don't have fun unless they survive the match, I know people have fun just by being the gen jockey, I know people who have fun just assisting the team and making sure everyone else lives. Personally I am a runner and my enjoyment as survivor comes from a good chase. I'm not talking about one that is cut short by a hatchet throw that didn't hit visibly, bear traps at every pallet or even a teammate sandbagging me.
I enjoy games the most when my team can work together to stand a chance and the killer isn't just focusing on one person to eliminate them as soon as possible.
