i tried many different ways to achieve it, but its doesnt work.
pc, steam
You have to hit it with a snowskull. Just go around the map and hit all the snowmen from a short distance.
It doesn't work if they have already revealed themselves. You just keep hitting snowmen and it'll work. But, don't get so close that they reveal that they are decoys.

No, but I do know that M1 means basic attack.
I honestly don't know a lot of DBD lingo that I should with my hours in the game (4,285).
Sorry if it's a stupid question.
I'm learning a lot since joining the forums (I'm kind of new here).
This post is a great example of me learning about God pallets and I'm glad Mandy weighed in.
Her information was helpful and I've been applying it in my Survivor games today.

An average of both MMRs. There is also special rules applied for winning or losing MMR when you are in a SWF:
Team-based MMR
If Survivors queue up together with friends, playing as a group (Survive with Friends), their final MMR score is influenced by what happened to the other Survivors queueing up with them:
- For each team mate that escapes:
- Increased gains towards MMR upon escaping.
- Reduced losses towards MMR upon dying.
- For each team mate that dies:
- Reduced gains towards MMR upon escaping.
- Increased losses towards MMR upon dying.
This was implemented to counter situations in which team mates sacrificed themselves for the survival of the others and were punished for their altruism by the Skill-Based Matchmaking Rating.
More info in the wiki: https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Skill-Based_Matchmaking_Rating
Thanks so much for the information! I'm referred to the wiki a lot. Do you know if the Devs contribute to or endorse it as a reliable source of information? Thanks!

There is no one else to level up. And those Bloodpoints have to go somewhere.
My man!!! I don't put much in him because I don't use his add-ons. What prestige do you have him at?

If you're just dropping pallets and running away, you are not wasting the killers time.
That's just factually wrong. It may not be the optimal way to run a loop, but if you're being chased and you drop most pallets, it's going to waste the killer's time. This is especially true for god pallets. If you drop the shack pallet while the killer is in try shack, they need to break it, catch up with you, or find someone else. It wastes a bunch of time. There are also a bunch of killers where pre-dropping a pallet and holding w is the best option.
It's also not great advice to tell newish survivors to greed pallets. It takes a long time to internalize how long it'll take you to run the loop again or get somewhere safe versus how long it'll take the killer. It wastes more of the killer's time dropping a pallet early and running away than greeding the pallet and going down.
I play on Nintendo Switch, what does "hold W" mean in the Nintendo language?

Are you going to be leveling up Freddy?!

Pallets are not an infinite resource like windows are.
Part of learning how to play survivor is understanding the strength of each pallet and the loop it creates, for example that particular pallet in midwich room is next to unplayable when upright, not even looping it really helps, but is super strong when dropped. (room upstairs with a gen in, library I believe it is) That's a rare pallet though, most strong pallets you should loop to the maximum to avoid dropping them especially early in the game where survivors are already at their strongest.
Seeing someone dropping a god pallet casually in the early part of a match hurts my soul especially as they go down a couple of seconds later anyway.
Thanks for the tips! I'll try to loop better although it is my greatest weakness. I'm embarrassingly awful at it, with or without pallets.
Maybe we could flip the BP award?
Like, isn't it more bold not to drop?
Just a thought. Also, there are challenges that say things like "Drop 6 pallets while being chased" so I kind of thought it was a good move.

God Pallets: The pallets killer must break(except for the nurse) to keep chasing survivors because the pallet is blocking the whole path.
But then why would I not drop it? I want the killers path blocked. If I don't, I'll go down. I don't understand the concept of saving them. Save them for what? If I'm in danger, I have to protect myself.
-
Can anybody define God pallets? Or explain why you're literally rewarded BP for dropping them? They do slow down the killers as they have to break them!

Also. I'm just gonna ignore the pig statement. For now...
No, it is sincerely my favorite map. I love it in either role.
No problem getting a 4k on that map for me as Freddy or Myers and I love the house and sky.
The sky especially is gorgeous! It's the most beautiful map.
The overall size is nothing shy of perfect for a 12 to 15 minute match as opposed to an hour long Gideon or Midwitch map.
I ❤️ it

Sad but true.
This is the best map in the game! The only thing that can ruin it is The Pig scaring Survivors by using stealth and growing.

Because you will wait around the hatch while the second to last survivor dies. You escape before the killer even has the chance to close it.
This. If you're healthy and the killer shows up, you can afford to take a hit and escape via hatch while their attack is on cooldown.

It being a party game are the developers words…
Lol. A game rated M for Mature, with this much violence, and a rank system that resets every month is not a party game.
This is a PvP multiplayer, horror game. Check out the DbD website. Does it mention "party game" there? How about in the marketing on their socials? Twitter description?
If you want a party game, Mario Party is a great start 👌

Hey CountOfTheFog,
I wanted to get some information regarding this issue. Did you use any add-ons, such as Iridescent Queen, to try and shock Survivors from outside the 48 meter range? Or Dark Devotion, where you can hit the Obsession, let them run out of range, and use the Static Blast (as it will be attached to that Survivor)?
Thank you!
Nope. I have not played Doctor since so this was my last loadout with perks and add-ons.

This happens when I'm searching for a Killer match at night. Never during gameplay thankfully.

Maybe it's an old DBD thing but if you wave your arms like that (or faster) it meant the Killer was camping.
That's what I use it for.
I use Kindred and people do that all the time even when I can clearly see the killer is not camping.
I know that was an old thing, I had never heard that expression though.
Also, Steve is one of the most suicidal players lol.
I hate saying that because he's my 2nd highest Prestige character, but yeah, Steve, Laurie, Leon and David are most likely to give up on 1st hook.

C'mon, you have how many thousands of hours in this game?
Laurie served you on a silver platter, farmed like a big fat pumpkin.
Could he have let you go? Of course. But, you cannot expect the killer to play nice and stupid at the same time. This one is 100% your teams fault, mostly Laurie's. As soon as you got hooked, all three left their gens and ran towards the hook, even continued while getting chased.
For the other videos... yeah, getting tunneled sucks but this is sadly the state of the game now. Also, when will people stop healing under the hook with no healing boosts, especially now that you can see, the killer is not chasing anybody? When will people learn to not unhook in the first ten seconds. People play stupid and expect not getting punished for it.
I'm giving Laurie a pass. Steve imitated killing himself on hook. I consider those suicide threats and unhook them before they do. I love OP, but any gesture like that on the hook is interpreted that way.

Sorry for wanting to have fun playing a fun video game, I guess? I don't know how it is for your games, but consistent escapes and decent teammates are in short supply in mine. Sometimes you've got to find your own amusement in this game as Survivor, because most of the time you're not going to be winning.
Personally, I'd take any player with a silly build, so long as they still touch gens and try to make altruistic plays. I've seen plenty of "serious" meta gamers hide as soon as the match starts to go bad to preserve their MMR and maybe get a hatch escape. Even in games that I felt were still winnable. The build a player is running doesn't necessarily determine how much of a team player they'll be in the trial.
Nothing wrong with it, that's why you should let them dodge. Again, you're going to be more likely to get similar teammates and have fun.
People who want to only play seriously can play with each other. Everyone wins.

I also don't want to be able to see Survivor perks in the lobby. As someone that frequently uses low prestige Survivors and the anonymous mode, I don't need other Survivors to have yet another reason to dodge my lobbies and mess up the matchmaking.
And I don't think players should feel pressured into running meta builds just to avoid being dodged. What if I want to run a silly locker build sometimes? I think this could result in less perk variety overall, because players would feel judged on their load outs and may feel like they have less freedom of choice.
If you want to run silly builds then let people dodge. You will eventually get players running silly builds and you can all have fun together.
-
I can't read your whole post because it's too long, not enough paragraphs.
But, I think I get the jist of your question. My advice would be wait for the Hatch.
-
Luck is more likely to get you killed than anything.
All luck offerings should be removed and players refunded bloodpoints.
Perks like up the ante need a completely new use created.
-
Prove Thyself 15% Repair and 100% Bloodpoints for cooperative actions.
-
I can't answer this question honestly because my answer changes based on my mood and day to day experience.
For example, I got tired of Chucky and now I miss him because I'm getting too many doctors.

I think with Brutal it's one of those perks that when you're running it, you don't really notice it. But it's when you take it off the next game, then you notice it. (at least that's what happens with me, I had to wean myself off my Brutal Strength addiction)
Facts!

This is about the weird and quirky perks.
What perks do you guys like. Not only because they are strong or useful in every situation. Perks that have niche but fun effects. Perks, you use despite others telling you: "wow, really? THAT perk?".
Ive seen a lot of people using rapid brutality the last few days, therefore the idea for this post.
My personal favourite is huntress lullaby. Its an hilariously bad perk that is even more funny when it works. Cant keep myself from using it.
That is actually a damn good perk. Just went against a Dredge using it on Lery's. Took me probably 10 minutes just to find and destroy it.

Warner Bros. Never allows the Freddy we all love in video games. Hell, even years ago when they put him in Mortal Kombat, it was the remake Freddy that we have in DBD.We got two Nightmare on Elm Street games in 1989. Just bust out your Commodore 64 or NES and have a go.
I do have the NES game. What a Diamond 💎 in the rough 👏

Maybe Predator? I've been struggling to follow scratch marks since a few updates back, though I'm not entirely sure why.
It's a pretty weak perk, so adding it as base-kit probably wouldn't make a game breaking difference and I don't think I've ever seen anyone use it anyway.
Aside from Nowhere to Hide, I'm not so into using Killer aura perks to be honest and in some respects I don't think they're totally healthy for the game. I tend to just patrol gens to find Survivors or use my Killer Instinct. Or I use perks that can't be countered by Distortion (like Surveillance, Tinkerer or Discordance).
Something to combat excessive hiding and game stalling if no-one has progressed a gen for a few minutes might be welcome, though. Something similar to the object of obsession aura reveal mechanic, maybe.
I'm having a horrible time following scratchmarks too for some reason, it's driving me crazy!

Grim Embrace basekit to not encourage tunnelling is a fallacy, just like people said how old BBQ and Chilli was doing the same thing.
You can still tunnel the first survivor out, than hook the remaining 3 survivors and activate Grim Embrace, which makes it extremely oppressive . With old BBQ and Chilli was even worse, you could tunnel survivors back to back and still hook all 4 survivors and get the extra BP in the end.
Basekit perks do not discourage tunneling and never will.
What changed about BBQ other than the BP incentive? I'm not familiar with old BBQ.

At least during events. My wife was able to play for the first time since the event. We got in two games before we quit because killers had to finish off the matches as soon as possible.
She was able to hop into one snow man though, so that was mildly fun for her.
What's the point of having these events when you can't even enjoy them? Killers. Read the room. Jesus.
I hear ya, but killers have event challenges they really want to get through asap as well. Last night I was a little rough, but now I've completed the 1st page and can relax.

@Xendritch said:
I don't think any killer info perks should be basekit finding survivors should be part of the killers skill set.
That being said I could see an argument for bloodhound being basekit but I don't think anyone would care. For something more exciting make grim embrace basekit to encourage people not to tunnel.
I play both sides and am sympathetic to both. Fair is fair, they need something, even if it's a "perk" that hasn't been invented yet!

Think about it like this:
- The 200+ Flashlights I have become useable across all characters... BUT there is less of an incentive to play different characters and it will reduce Survivor variety.
I know some person is going to bring up DBD Mobile having this mechanic but DBD Mobile is functionally different since getting items is more difficult than in normal DBD.
I'm lost. I don't play the mobile game but to your main point - I think it would increase diversity, that's why I want it.
For example, I really want to play Gabriel Soma tonight, but he's out of stuff.
If I could use offerings that I have on my high prestige characters, I would play him tonight.
Could you explain why you think it would decrease diversity?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just wondered if you could clarify or rephrase.
I don't get what flashlights have to do with it.
Sorry, I'm slow sometimes 😔

@Seraphor said:
Offerings should potentially be shareable, for survivors and killers. Mainly due to event offerings and being limited to spending BP during events only on the characters you intend to use in the future.
Items are a little more questionable. You'd have most players suddenly have acces to near infinite Commodious Toolboxes and the likes. Item rarity would be pointless, browns and yellows would be worthless.
Yes! Offerings should also be shared across killers, I hadn't thought about that!
