Just dropping my ideas/suggestions for a way to fix EMPS.
- If a survivor fully charges an EMP and a Biopod or infected survivor isn't detected within 3 seconds, the EMP will disintegrate. When an EMP is disintegrated, survivors would have to grab a new EMP.
- Accelerating printing causes the Oblivious status effect.
- Once an EMP is done printing automatically, survivors will have to open the EMP chest (Would take 3-4 seconds). Opening an EMP chest and leaving the EMP inside will cause the chest to close after a certain amount of time. If a chest closes, survivors would have to reopen it. (So similar to Wesker and Nemesis's healing spray/vaccine chests)
Good idea, but Oblivious would be a risk every survivor would take.
Also, if you could only use the weapon while standing still that would be better.
-
It is OP. You do a long chase and you commit thinking it's just 3%. Then Endurance presents itself. It brings back old DH matches.
-
Why are you referring to it as 7th anniversary when the event will only begin next week?

I got two. Slinger's gun and Claudette's pants.
Weird... got the entire outfit for him. It says 4th anniversary.
-
Let survivors work with the crates all the time. Even if one is working on printing a new item another crate is available for use. While pushing the button is a great idea, I never required to do that as a free EMP was always available somewhere.
I like 2 ideas mentioned above: being stationary while using it and that the distance affects disability.
-
For me Soma's Adept didn't work.
-
I got it for Deathslinger. Is it available only for one day and for one random character?
-
I only miss the music. 😏
-
Thanks for this! I was wondering about this, too.
I miss the noise notification as it helped me while browsing (waiting for a new match) alt-tab back at the right time for the start.
-
Same here. Yesterday, there was a lot of ppl using this killer and we managed to escape (in many cases the entire team). Today, it is completely different. People gave up on learning how to use him - those remained are getting better and better.
-
I use Deja Vu with Hyperfocus. Scavenger to ensure I have a full toolbox and Stake Out for the great skill checks.
-
Report it. Just did that. I was waiting in the main building to save a survivor but she decided to direct the killer to me. Even made video evidence.

I don't get it. We get some cool perks and a neat killer, but everyone's just complaining about it. Did you want a perfect update or something? A lot of y'all are so blinded by your reactionary disappointment that you can't see that we have some fun new toys to play with. There doesn't seem to be anything to warrant such an outcry in this update, it's fine and didn't break the game
In addition to this the feedback from the PTB wasn't this bad. I fear whatever BVHR does next will not be appreciated by many.

How the new killer is way to easy to counter. I infected her with my biopod camera, as soon as I infected her she removed my infection without stopping once. The time it took me to infect her was undone in seconds. That’s what I’m trying to show.
Then we have these guys saying I was outplayed I didn’t use him right. That wasn’t the point it’s to show how easily it is to counter his power!!
So the workaround is to ensure you have to stop to use the device (similarly to a vaccine or spray).
-
By the way he hasn't been killswitched, yet.
-
Met quite a lot yesterday. No Singularity match today.
-
Can you explain what is happening / what we are supposed to see?
For those not having the killer. Just an idea...
-
I refer to him as Johnny 5.
-
I concur. His suffering is pretty funny when running around injured.
I'm also having fun with Scavenger + Stake Out + Deja Vu. Remember Deja Vu has been updated!
-
Hm I see no Borgo mentioned in the 7.0 patch notes so thanks for this. Has the map been reduced at least?
-
Congratulations! I wonder how many times you had 7 minutes for your victim survivors till you reached P100. 😅

Dbd is like Pokemon
Lot of people try to get the same concept
Only one remain immortal
I would compare it to World of Warcraft.
The game is nearing 20 years of age and it is estimated that roughly 1 million people log in daily (!).
Other games tried to dethrone it but never managed to do so. Those successful in the world of MMORPGs can mainly attribute their success to the lore they have (e.g. Knights of The Old Republic).
As for OP: This is very said. I think healthy competition could only make DbD better. VHS I wanted to try (checked a couple of gameplay vids by Otz and it looked interesting) and Evil Dead I have on Epic but it is said to be very toxic...
-
Honestly, I'm fine with them.

Apparently, some players only give hatch if you don't wiggle.
This is the message I was greeted with in the endgame chat by a Skull Merchant.
"Why did you wiggle? I would have given you the hatch."
I asked how I should have known of her intentions to which she replied: "I did a swing."
So, some players only allow you to escape via the hatch by crawling.
Then I explained it to her that some killers do this as a joke since even by swinging their weapon you will not be able to wiggle out by the time they reach the hook.

P100 doesn't automatically makes you good at the game. Putting hours on the game doesn't mean skill.
Of course it does! It is just not the same for everybody. And if it is a P100 Vittorio, not Dwight, I can assume the person has a lot of other characters and while not necessarily level 100 they were also prestiged.
Seeing high prestige definitely confirms different playtimes and the way MMR (wrongly) works.
-
So when is anti-camping coming if not with this chapter / 7.0?

Are you seriously complaining about a situation where Killer don't have a hook near by, you are not letting him carry you to the hook and there is exit gate you can open while he would be trying to hook you? Bruh.
He is far from opening the exit gate - only one bulb is turned on. The only "danger" here is the hatch but the killer could survey the immediate area and close it if found. The screenshot confirms it was an unnecessary slugging.
-
I allow the last survivor to leave via the hatch if there is AFK or DC that already ruins the match for the team.
But DC can occur for 2 people so I let the other 2 finish the gens and exit via the gate.
What I don't like when someone puts down an item "requesting" hatch. Let the decision be made by me.
Not everybody is grateful, though. I let someone go as the gens were done and I was with SM. As I dropped my drones near the exit gates I knew when the last survivor showed up. It was impossible for Jeff to escape but I allowed him to do so. He specifically said he was not grateful because blabla SM blabla. I didn't know the reaction was dependent on which killer I picked...
-
Because they are 100% sure they will be able to leave. And while there is an ongoing chase they want to ensure they get even more BP by cleansing, etc.

Not really, I know garden of joy is horribly designed but its actually my favourite map, however I know people use it to give a horrible experience to killers, so I find it hilarious when I actually enjoy the match and they suddenly do not enjoy the match.
I enjoy the map but only as a survivor. Also, visually I think it's great.
-
I don't think so. Because chases can last long? Killers have to learn to leave them.
The issue is with gen progression / regression at the moment.
But I look forward to see the results of the camp update.
-
What do you use for recording?
I had a survivor using Ashley who didn't want to play. Instead of DC-ing he started dropping the pallets. Most disgusting thing in this game.
Great clip btw! So uploading clips of gameplay are fine as long as names are not visible? Or it's OK on YouTube even with names but here only those can be embedded where they are not visible.
-
Camping but the only smart thing to do in this situation.
-
Thank you kindly!
-
I'm using Haddie with Overzealous and Counterforce these days. This is a great combination of perks as even hex totems get cleansed faster and if it is a hex the applied bonus for gens is 20%. I have added Detective's Hunch just in case. I have found a LOT of hexes recently in my matches.

Oh, thank you for info!
Apologies let me correct myself. Just had a match and got 30K but needed only 17K to reach 2 mil. As the cap I reached it did not go over. So match results do not count!
-
Can it be that due to the upcoming anniversary / chapter there is a surge of players? Including perhaps those returning after a hiatus.
-
Yes, but only because I'm actively playing in another time of the day. I'm experimenting to see when it is the best.

Ready for Chapter! (+ daily logins, + tome challenges) + Rank reset on the same day lol.
Btw don't ask me why the cap is at 2 050 000 and not at 2 000 000 I don't know haha...
You got more BP in the last match and that is why. You can surpass it but only once.

there is a 7th (well for me)
I sometimes go into a match not wanting to kill anyone and sometimes I'll chase someone for a long time. On their end I have no doubt the must think I'm obsessed with them and really bad at chases.
I also do this. I'll bring some streamers to ensure everybody gets a lot of BP. This I usually do with killers I rarely use who I prestiged for the perks (bloody clothing) and I have a lot of streamers / survivor pudding to spare.
-
The two sides do not see each other, unfortunately.
In your example: you survived and the killer got a 3K. Who's to say it was easy for him? The reaction might have been the result of a sweaty match on his end.
Today, we faced a camping Bubba and we managed to do all gens pretty fast and escape. Only one loss which is a rarity in SoloQ as there is always someone trying to do a save even if it includes basement Bubba.
Then Bubba started saying we were trash, "thx for the EZ kill", "noobs", etc. We just laughed out loudly and moved on. In this instance the reaction clearly indicates we were doing good and it was a compliment. He even said "noob looper, I downed him in 20 secs" which means an even shorter time was available for us to do all gens.
Another match I had with Dredge securing 4K in a very exciting match. In the end, a Felix decided not to go look for the hatch immediately but first finish the last gen. I knew where to look for him, chased him, we both found the hatch but I was faster and closed it. I felt like a deserved 4K so while he put down his medkit I decided to down and hook him. He argued for a long time in the chat how he was entitled to leave and explained it to me what putting down an item means - what a killer HAS to do in such situations. Another survivor was observing the chat and came to the rescue saying "he's a killer, it's his decision" and "it was an exciting match".
A community. With all sorts of people.
-
I alternate between Wraith, Doc, Clown and Shape who are all level 8. My survivors range from 4-6 while Ashy Slashy is level 12.

A few reasons I can think of:
1. Anger: not getting that hit can make people see red and everything else is a blur apart from that one individual.
2. Practice: not as common as anger, but some may see a really good survivor as an opportunity to improve their chase.
2. Practice (2): A few killers may actually be survivor mains and when they see someone great, they would chase to learn how they play, so they could integrate it into their play.
4. Ego: as @gnehehe says, some just feel butt-hurt and just chase to "assert domination" over them. They're the least popular of killers.
5. Items: some will chase someone for ages if they see them as a flashlight-saver or believe they have a powerful item. This was especially true when keys were a quick and easy escape.
6. Prejudice: maybe they dislike Neas. Maybe they recognise a name. Maybe they say TTV. They just have a grudge towards those types, over preconceived opinions.
7) Doing the "chase a survivor for XY seconds" challenge. That's me who wants to be done with it as soon as possible. The outcome is mostly zero or one kill. In the end I thank them for the match, the completed challenge in the chat and we all say "glhf next".

Update:
Even with skilled teammates, the doctor is still ridiculous. I’ve played 3 today. 2 sent us to Meat Packing Plant and one was on Raccoon City. I play with 2 other friends and we’ve been playing for over a year on this game.
All 3 doctors did the same things. Had perks that messed with your quick checks, zapped you as you tried to drop pallets and killed all 4 survivors.
I’m really and truly sick of this killer. It is so cheap playing against the doctor who is using and abusing the systems of the game. Maybe it is fun as a killer, but it is NOT fun to play against this kind of doctor as a survivor.
I need a nerf on him. Make it so his power doesn’t impact quick checks. It needs to happen.
Zapping requires well-timed hits only a skilled Doctor can do. Especially in a loop where you run around him and zapping you can still give you time to do another loop and drop the pallet in his face. You mostly were matched with a great player.
I used to have a build with Sloppy, Distressing and Coulrophobia. Because there is an increased emphasis on doing gens and healing has a much lower priority of these 3 I only kept Distressing. I think more people are focusing on gen regression these days but it is not impossible to beat him.
-
Well, at least it happened in the lobby.
This can be dangerous in the endgame chat when people start criticizing each other but leave team for explanation. You start saying your part and it become hashtags you get cuss words in return. Funny and embarrassing at the same time.
-
Thanks for the answer. I'm done with the challenge but this is very useful. I was actually thinking of what else I should equip with him beside Distressing and this gave me an idea. ☺️
-
I used Tenacity, Unbreakable and Flip Flop. But it required some trials and errors. I think it's easiest to do on Eyrie but that map, unfortunately, is not available.
-
Sorry I still make mistakes when it comes to basic attacks.
-
Hmmm it depends on what 2nd chance perks you are referring to. Mostly they are fine but Distortion could have an increase in obtaining a new token. Technician could also get a buff to make it more useful. I voted yes but I'm only thinking of these 2.
-
Interesting. I think Red Herring is unnecessary when you already have Deception.
Diversion can be very useful if timed well.
