Trap all the drop zones. Those will work. Another good spot is the loop with the 2 pallets right above the basement

I don't think they're ignoring it at all, it's not something that'd be super simple to do either given that it's more than just tweaking things like you suggest. I really wish people would get off of the conspiracy bandwagon when these types of things come up.
I just wish they gave it the proper attention. About difficulty implementing it, we've all seen how easily they change hook aura colors (even during the game), and gen auras were a different color before the July patch.

No. Please leave Nurse alone.

I mean, come on. Now you have an AI so you just can get us an basic Singeplayer. Even if its just to Practice Nurse blinks, instead of getting ######### in a normal Game, or needing another Friend. What if you create a smurf account to learn a new killer? Just resist the urge to destroy new survivors.

Not something to change the values and balancing, but helpful tools would be nice. A crosshair for Huntress on console would be nice, especially considering her skill cap for a controllerA small piece of a post-it will do the trick. I don't see them implementing a crosshair any time soon.

I appreciate the constructive comment some didn't give that at all. I think I just have bad luck on when I try to use it but I overall just won't ever use it again. There's better perks that do much more than just a potential save.
That's the idea of posting, I'm glad you will consider my opinion. Yes there are better perks depending on the build you're aiming for. Just in case, I've seen that Boil Over works the best in Lery's. It makes killers bump into everything and waste a lot of time. Haddonfield would come second IMO.

How do you know there is a tombstone in his build?
If he's killing people without dropping them beforehand. Unless you're the first one, of course.
If you need to kill them that bad and you've already downed them, you can try carrying them with no intention of hooking them. Most of the time, a survivor will struggle and eventually break free. There you have your 2nd chance at them.
If you note no struggle, pick up/drop as many times needed.

Using it never results in a save. It's always well it almost saved me or it was almost useful. Needs a buff or a rework because it's especially useless if the killer has iron grasp due to the perks just nearly cancelling out and wiggling off a killer is only possible when survivors body block and the killer doesn't have iron grasp or if the killer is really far from a hook. The small 2% you get to wiggle free might as well not be there because you will almost never save yourself using this perk you're better off with just about anything else.As a killer main I can tell you it does work when you are carrying people and need to walk through narrow spaces or doors in some maps, and also when you have to walk long distances. It works even better when coupled with teammates bodyblocking.
Iron Grasp kinda counters it, but Agitation is a much better perk and makes IG obsolete, so most killers will prefer Agitation. I have dropped several survivors with Boil Over in my games (or they wiggled out, should I say)

i mean everyone did this with leatherface. Barbecue and Chili is the only perk people run from him, plus he isn't ran at all in high ranks.
I main Billy and Huntress but also play regularly with Leatherface, as well as Myers and Trapper in the red ranks. These last 3 are really dependent on add-ons to be competitive there though, in my opinion.

I think it's great!

@Condorloco_26 Wouldn't a simple filter be enough to help colorblind players? If you have the option, try using NVidia's Geforce Experience to add color filters onto the game until the devs can address this. I know it depends heavily on what type of colorblindness you have, but you get what I mean. That's a good option for PC players. Has anyone tested it yet, does it work? Hopefully it makes a difference.
I'm on PS4 though, and I wish we console users had similar options. Thanks for your comment,

I have color blindness and I can read them. I think most people can, too.

I believe that if a killer downs you and leaves for someone else, and you happen to have a medkit handy, you should should be able to at least recover to first hit state. You can just equip the Unbreakable perk, it does exactly that

Rank is only an indication of time played. Nothing more. And kinda being able to perform basic tasks in the game with a degree of proficiency too. I think it shows some consistency at least. If you play a lot of games as a killer and get 0 kills always, not being able to find, hit, surprise, interrupt survivors or use your power effectively, you won't rank up ever, no matter if you put 1000 hours into it. Same goes for survivor, if you hide the whole game you may survive, but you need to repair, save, heal, get away in chases, etc. to rank up.
For sure the ranking system has a lot of room for improvement, mainly by incorporating statistics, I would suggest.

Guys you posted about this some time ago too @StalwartXX @Daddy_Doctor

Bump
Hey man @jejones you might be interested in posting a comment here. Let's try to bring attention to the subject.

Yes I posted about this issue in that section before creating this thread. It's quite a colorful post too, so it can stand out. Lol.
Thanks a lot to all you who are helping to bring more people's attention to this subject.

I forgot about the aura reading perks, such as BBQ and Bitter Murmur, and when a survivor equips Object of Obsession playing as a killer. They all are greatly ineffective because they are red. In contrast, the aura that is shown when Kindred, Alert, Dark Sense or Object of obsession (as a survivor) are active, are 100% visible in any map
-
Please consider adding this mode in the future, it will be 100% appreciated

As a colorblind killer, these are some examples of stuff we need to put up with every game:
1. Not seeing gen auras at all in some maps like Haddonfield or any of the Autowreckers variations. I find them because I kinda know where do they spawn, or people are working on them.
2. Not being able to follow bloodtrails or scratch marks in any map, except for the Gideon Meat Plant, where the contrast actually makes it possible. I rely on a good headset instead to locate injured survivors, but recent changes to Iron Will / Calm Spirit, make it almost impossible.
3. Not being able to see where your Hex Totem is at all, in most maps except for the McMillan ones.
4. Playing as a trapper you have to run into your traps and pay attention to the R1 (M2) notification to find them in the first place, because you can't see them LOL
5. And the cherry on top is, being unable to see hook auras when carrying a survivor in most of the maps (except for the McMillan ones).Playing as a survivor also has its difficulties, as you can not see crawling teammates and most of the times you don't know where are they hooked. You'd better remember where did the circle and sound come from. Like playing under the Knockout and Third Seal effects all the time.

Thanks for the effort
-
Here it is, hopefully it gets some views soon

I agree with your idea, it would be a cool mode to play. Removing SWF, that is.
You already have a semi-hardcore mode now, though. Try playing Wraith in the red ranks >_<

Colorblind mode
Colorblind mode please
Colorblind mode please, it's 100% possible after seeing how easy you changed hook colors (even switching them during a game) -

Since most survivors are determined to keep the hatch as a mechanic I propose we add a special timer/effect. The last survivor will be given a full minute to escape via hatch. After this timer expires the survivor's aura will be revealed and they will have the exposed status effect. Right before their aura is revealed the Entity will appear in the sky and "roar", as a notification for the survivor that they should get out ASAP.The goal here is to spice up the end game. By having their aura revealed and by being exposed survivors will experience fear disguised as tension. Those first 60 seconds after the 3rd survivor dies will greatly pressure whoever is left to leave. What are your thoughts on this?
I think this is a good idea. But maybe 1 minute it's too short of a time, perhaps 2 minutes would work better?
Or combine it with the "find a token/charm/key first", and THEN the timer starts

Have you thought about adding colorblind mode? Now after playing the BBQ event it's a fact you can change hook colors, so it would be nice to let us color blindness affected killers choose our own colors for gens, hooks, totems, tracks. Thanks

Hi fellow colorblind killer friends (or is it colourblind?), I'm here to resurrect these and other similar posts to bring awareness to our problem. After playing for some days, enjoying the summer BBQ event, and after 100% being sure that we CAN have different colors for hooks after all, I would like to formally and kindly ask the devs for the option to choose our own color for hooks, totems, blood, tracks and gens. Some maps are just insanely difficult for colorblind killers.
Thank you so much in advance

Just ignore them and keep playing a proper game. They want to feel special. Don't give them that.
OR... if it REALLY, REEEEALLY bothers you that much, and absolutely can not look past it, go ahead and kill them. Tunnel and camp them if you want. Keep smacking them while on the hook. Other options are slugging them, nodding your head and doing little celebration dances in front of their crawling bodies while they bleed out, let them be healed on purpose to drop them again immediately, rinse and repeat as many times you want until they DC or give up. The Pig can even Tbag them back, you know? If you happen to find a known offender on a lobby, choose to play as Impossible Skill Check Doctor and throw a jigsaw piece offering. Watch him cry and/or give up during the game. You can text them after it ends too. All these options will become available as you keep improving and gain more experience and confidence playing killer. Keep in mind that you will effectively throw the game if you choose to go after one of those guys, and you will look even worse if you fail to catch them.
Never be the first one to show bad manners or toxic behaviour, though. Always respect the players you go against. Just be the one who chooses to ignore bad manners, or respond adequately.
-
I'm all in favor of adding an objective at least.
As many people have mentioned before, I think a very good idea would be having survivors start the game by looking for a special toolbox (one per survivor), token or charm that is randomly spawned in the map that enables them to repair generators. If they don't find it or just don't want to look for it, they can still play as designated runners, baiters, unhookers, healers, etc, especially in SWF 4 man teams.
Another idea (that I ignore if anyone has mentioned before) would be making survivors perform repairs on both exit gates to enable them to be opened. These repairs can be done anytime during the game (as long as they have the special toolbox/token/charm). They can choose to repair any of them, or both.
I think these band-aid changes would take little work as opposed to reworking maps, which I think is one of the root problems of the game, as it leads to looping, bad hex totem placement, infinites, etc.

Neither the last survivor deserves a free escape, nor the killer deserves a free last kill. These are some ideas to fix the hatch thing:
Scenario where Killer is able to close hatch:
1. Survivor can open it with an action similar to cleansing a totem (only faster), or survivor can open it hitting 1 DS type skill check
2. Survivor can power 1 super fast gen and this enables opening ONLY one of the exit gates, plus opens the hatch, allowing for different strategies to come into play for both sides. If the repairs were done on the last gen left, BOTH exit gates are powered, obviously.
3. Points 1 and 2 togetherScenario where Killer is NOT able to close it:
1. Survivor automatically gets the EXPOSED status when hatch spawns, this way if killer finds hatch or survivor first he has effectively won the game, but if survivor finds it first he is encouraged to just leave and not play around. Plus, survivor still has a chance to escape if both players find the hatch at the same time.
2. Survivor is not exposed, but must find first some kind of token or charm in a chest spawned at the same time to be able to jump through the hatch. Make the token or charm an offering too, so survivor can choose whether bringing it to the trial or not. Survivor still can jump through hatch if killer is blocking it.
3. Survivor is not exposed, but can not jump through the hatch if killer is blocking it (meaning killer found it first), and must accept this fate. -

Next time you post on this you can drop the PS4.. It is a problem that effects all platforms I am sure.. (not colorblind, but I can appreciate the problems). Also make sure you posted this in the wishlist section. (to lazy to search for the posts, but... just trying to be helpful)
Thanks for the observation man, you're right as it affects all platforms the same. At the time I mentioned PS4 because I was not sure PC players were in the same situation, since I read "somewhere" that they could make some adjustments via their graphic cards and the problem would be somewhat lessened, as several players giving their testimony asserted.
The statement about the devs saying they won't look into it is true though. I found it somewhere in the Q&A section of this forum. Man I wish at the very least we could make those same colors brighter...

I have posted about this a couple of times, I don't know how to paste links here, but search for these topics:
Colorblind killers, again...PS4
Red gen auras give trouble to colorblind players. PS4
In one of those threads someone said the developers once talked about it, unluckily stating there are no plans on doing anything.
You can try tweaking settings on your screen or monitor, it helps a bit. There are maps where I can't locate a single gen though... -

oh now it works -

Nea needs more love. More costumes. More hair!!!But no moving hair. The moving hairs are a laughing stock that need fixed. Seeing them glitch about everywhere is too funny.
Also, Nea has a particular style (which most Americans don't seem to get as it's based on European trends). "Night out Nea" don't really fit her back story. BUT! If they did, smokey makeup is NOT the way to go. She needs some of that rave getup. Bright colours, neon, and the sweet sounds of German dubstep.
But i like the moving hair xD & youre right, i dont get her particular style but i do get my own connection to her. I can relate to her back story. I have my own American ideas of her, and i think they should consider incorporating something like that as well. Night out nea make-up makes her face look amazing xD i like the lip piercing too. I just want more variety of clothes and hair that are not so butch & Grimey looking.
She NEEDS more clothes and hair. Absolutely.
What I was saying about the hair is that it is prone to glitching out. ESPECIALLY when you sprint Your pretty long locks get splayed everywhere like jagged barb wire
It needs fixed first, yes lol but its funny to me when im killing, Bbq procs & I see some hellicopter hair xD lmaoo
This + 1
And even when not using BBQ it's funny how Kates give away their position with that windmill hair flying around.

Then I would appreciate if anyone knew something about tweaking TV screen settings that would potentially help.
Thanks

I guess I had to adapt playing without following scratch marks in most of the maps (except the meat plant where I can see them) relying instead on a good headset to track close survivors, but being able to track gens is the central issue of the whole game as a killer.Khalednazari said:I heard McCote say in one of the streams long ago that they don't plan to change things for colourblind folks. In the stream, someone had then pointed out that they had a hard time tracking survivors by following scratch marks due to colourblindness. It's really sad that this game doesn't offer variations for colourblind folks. I really hope that the devs reconsider this request.
I would really appreciate the option of changing the colors in the settings menu. I always change the crosshair colors in the shooters that allow it. -
Well I don't understand why isn't there an option, given that most games today take color blindness into consideration. For me it means no more fun playing killer, no longer able to think of an strategy, cut lanes and just be limited to chase people like in the cartoons
