I was talking about basekit, not perks:
- Bots were added for survivors, it's a survivor buff, and the lack of bots is still worse. At least they do gens
- Bloodlust buffs help M1 killers more than anyone else, I don't even feel I need to address this. M1 killers are still too underpowered and Bloodlust just helps them not suck against chain-able tiles
- Flashlight clicking is really something you're considering?
- Basekit Lightborn on lockers is anti-bullying, and I really doubt it works because I've had this happen to me multitudes of times.
- Smaller maps is a valid point, that's a big buff. Especially considering that survivors now spawn together
- BNP "nerf" is hardly a nerf. It used to be 15% instant progression, then went to become 10% off the generator charges. It's a 5% "nerf", and a buff if the killer interrupts or regresses your generator.
- The individual killer buffs are all on low tier killers. No one would complain if Calm Spirit got buffed, or if Smash Hit's haste went from 5 seconds to 6 seconds.
- The crows were very good at their job, too good in fact. But now it's practically the way it was before. I had someone in my game literally go afk after being hooked, I eventually saw crows appear and boy, I hooked like 4 more times in between. He was standing still.
I think bloodlust is still not as good as its needed to be for M1 killers, people have too much confidence in looping that it shows bloodlust doesnt help to the point where people are actually scared of chain looping or continuing loops.
The crows were doing a good job but it was aggresive like the initial crow build up, just that.
The revert is horrible now people are back to prolonging games just because they are salty they lost the match with 2 surv left and 3 gens left.
Crows should get a buff to them where on 2nd and 3rd crow there is a initial scream and 3rd one gradually increases screams, and honestly they should make it so just holding repair or clensing totems removes 1 crow per action, value depends what devs decide to go for.
The maps generally have to become smaller in size or they should implement a system where m1 killers will get put in smaller maps and m2 naturally get larger maps by default.

Better yet, it should force a hardware ban so you can never play again 🙃
Tbh you can spoof your HWID pretty easily through BIOS
and also through windows, like you can fully change up your pc wipe clean (but i wont give any tutorial and its only used againts cyberattacks anyways)
But yep for console its not possible

I do not want to play at the sweaty high level, that gets old fast. I also do not want my Dredge, Ghostface, and Nemesis reworked just because they aren't FOR people who want to win super hard and play a Dash Killer. I want them to stay where they are, with the same kits they have, getting fair balanced buffs and tweaks that keep them the same but make them better. I do not want any of these Killers, or anyone else in my roster, reworked into different Killers, because that would kill MY enjoyment of the game. The reason I play THESE killers and not the stronger dash Killers is because I like these ones the way they are. I don't like those stronger Killers.
I can't be alone in this. There is nothing wrong with some Killers being different, weaker, or playing older kits. Killers like Pig, Trapper, and Doctor don't need power reworks - they need to be made more balanced so they can win, with enough skill and time and effort, at any level of play.
If the problem is viability the solution is not a power rework. It's giving them something their kit might lack, such as a slight mobility or more info or something.
Thats what i just said regarding mobility it can come in different forms and shapes.
Doesnt have to be that ghostface (who is a human) gets supernatural powers that would let him teleport or dash.
I was mainly refering to something like a rage passive ability like adrenalin surge flow state that makes m1 killers faster in mobility or just give them info that would also boost their mobility but not in that sense more like a set motion of how likely they can do their rotations compared to m2 killers who use teleport like abilities or dashing/flying.
Like i think honestly people take michael very lightly more of a joke when they verse him because a "good skilled player" can loop an avg myers player with ease until gens pop decent amount.
I think michael lacks some sort of ability similar to mirrored illusion that he can put up as a killer it shouldnt be a perk or an addon, he SHOULD get that because he is baba yaga, boogeyman he is pure evil, he is supposed to be one of those killers that should be able to haunt the entire map and make everyone in lobby experience paranoia, yes he makes streamers and occasional casual squads but the higher u climb as a killer (which is way easier) the tougher opponents that dont play into that they play into looping efficiently.
So i suggest for myers ability like that or at least a passive thing that makes him bloodlusted the more he is in chase with a survivor by default the speed will increase from 4.6+ and rise to certain cap that helps the killer end the loop.
It should be balanced so it wont take too much time off of killer and also not take too little where looping becomes pointless.
It wont change anything because people still play ghoul, spring, vecna.

Oh yeah I was saying I understand & agree with why crosshair apps should be allowed. You can also put some tape on your monitor to simulate a crosshair.
I was meaning to contrast crosshairs with the automated hook timer
Oh that yeah totally
-
@ratcoffee said:
I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that this should probably not be allowed. It likely won't get you banned, because they don't really have any way of detecting it, but I think it goes against the spirit of the game as it is now. (I also think killers should see hook states by default so this program would become unnecessary anyway, but that's a different matter)
Reticles for ranged killers just overlay an image on the screen, they write to the screen but don't read from it. Reading from the screen and using that screen information to automate something that you're supposed to do with your own brain power feels like a fair play violation, as the software is far more involved in the process. How is having the computer keep track of who you hooked to avoid tunneling, or having it count to 10 or to 60 for you to facilitate it, any different from having a program that automatically hits great skill checks for you? Obviously the skill check program shouldn't be allowed, why would the hook counter/timer be different?
Just saying most modern monitors such as gigabyte, aorus, msi, asus have OSD settings to make custom crosshair for you.
Its not detectable at all and monitor companies dont care if it promotes unfair advantage.
Same goes for stuff like XIM, cronus zen and such
Also this user probably used a program i forgot the name but its used in apex legends to hotswap your gun based off of recoil patter, color of gun, ammount of bullets, vibration and such

But unplugging the internet *does* give you a penalty. And I think changing the DC penalty decay was a mistake, because it actually forces them to play more to get rid of their penalty points, rather than forcing them to take a break.
Thats so odd since lately they have been doing DC Method via unplugging internet access.
But yeah there needs to be a thing that kinda shows okay this is not right behavior take a time out if it happens you cant just play 20 matches, maybe if stakes are higher where they need to actually have some worth in those 20 matches, but if one of those matches they spend time afk-ing then the timer resets for them
-
@PetTheDoggo said:
Just increase DC penalty, so players think a little bit more about quiting.
The amount of players I have seen to DC, when they are about to be sacrificed is pathetic. Like you are about to be done in 10 seconds, why the hell would you DC?
Those players clearly don't enjoy DBD, so simply force them to take a break…I think dc penalty has to be more serious where it fully stuns BP growth, player level growth so no more of those shards that unlock characters or skins or perks.
People are taking it to lightly and also they have been doing a weird trick with unplugging their internet lately which doesnt give them a penalty because their internet cut off they didnt press abandon.

You’ve made thread after thread asking for buffs — whether it’s M1 killers, slowdown perks, nerfs to SWF, or even old Myers audio. That’s fine, but at some point, it’s not about balance anymore — it’s just asking for more and more until the game hands you wins.
Saying people are “toxic” just because they don’t agree with you doesn’t make your argument stronger. A lot of us like the effort it takes to get value out of M1 killers. It’s called challenge — not everything needs to be high-mobility or free pressure.
If you're always demanding the game be made easier instead of adapting like the rest of us had to, maybe the issue isn’t the killers — it’s the mindset.
Not sure how old are you but i dont plan to quit my job to play 10 hours a day and buy a gaming pc with 240-360hz monitor with lowest input lag ever just to be able to enjoy my life in dead by daylight.
Yes you are right its about mindset but how can i be in a mindset when i have a 6 to 6 job, i have other life priorities outside of gaming unlike before when i was younger and actually sweaty at video games.
But yeah no sorry i dont agree with you at all lol on that one where m1 is fine needing to be more challenging, just because the team decided to grab a license for lets say myers and turn him into m1 and not give him m2 abilities like vecna or ghoul that can fly across the map in less than 5 seconds doesnt mean i should avoid myers and go ahead and play m2 killers because none of them i do like and i love myers because i grew up with that as a kid.
If you plan to talk and call me out on me having a job and having to support my family not everyone is privilaged in life so yeah im sorry for not having time in life, i have around 1h max or less to do few matches of Dbd that being survivor or killer.
Other than that i have other places to be in life and not infront of a screen learning patterns getting better at making 0% mistakes just to be "challenged"

For me, if the Ghoul was solely having the ability to slingshot around the map with a cooldown, that would have made him actually rather fun to face. Like Wesker, but without the grab, but much more distance.
Unfortunately, he's got too many strengths in his favour. The attack whereby he latches on to a survivor is badly implimented and often it feels like I don't know how I got hit at all. Alongside the generous length of time he gets to be in power once latched and very little slowdown, and he's just horribly frustrating.
A simpler solution would have been far better. Grappling would have been fun to cover distances in exchange for recovery, and he'd probably be a lot more enjoyable to face, whilst still being a menace.
I mean his slingshot really needs to be toned down where he cant just bounce off of walls and rocks around map to curve around and hit you, when a player really locks in he is relentless you cant really escape chase unless you make 0% mistakes as a survivor.
That to me particulary is not fun at all nor fair as a survivor, i do struggle againts wesker but what helps me againts him is that he cant juse gain advantage by bouncing off of walls.
Then talking about other abilities he does to support his gameplay thats like a bit too much of an advantage.
Like the state of forums is chaotic at best but also in game is ridicilous where people literally afk even before being hooked, they go in corners of map or hide in lockers.
Then the amount of DC users its insane.
I am also annoyed by ghoul to the extent they are but i still go through the match.
But this has to stop he needs to be toned down a lot maybe not the treatment of skull merchant but damn.

There are a lot of factors that are taken into consideration with feedback; the Forums is not the only place we visit and read posts. We see everything.
Mandy is correct; MMR is not rigged. I am happy to also confirm that! She is in the same position we are all in. Some information is just not player facing. However, I hope later this year when we address MMR in a QOL update that you will be pleased with the changes!
I actually appreciate the wholesome quality reply that i was seeking for almost a month.
I hope i did not offend anyone!
It was more like NDA related stuff since i know other game devs and staff members in charge for community managment is usually hand cuffed by the publishers and license holders.
Just to clarify it a bit further i did not want beef just wanted some quality answer related to QoL.
Cheers!

So there is seriously no talk behind the scenes about any actions taken againts ghoul.
I mean hey :P ive been warned for tagging, but i was never told i cant "quote" a staff member lol.
Plus you were the only one who actually replied to me quoting staff members while others ignore and refuse to elaborate in these forums.

I'm killer main, and I was hard defending the urge to put on pressure when the game is not going in your favor. But as there is ongoing event and I swapped to survivor role, mainly due to queue times I must say that I never ever suffered such a frustration playing survivor. I don't mind killers bringing meta perks (dms, pain res, corrupt, surge…) those are competitive perks but everyone wants to win and brings the best they can (not me clearly as a big dms hater) but the behaviour of killers within 90 % games was pure toxicity. Not only that they hard tunneled or camped every game but it was the same over and over again, mainly:
- Yamori mask, dms Kanekis, tunneling hard (forgot about Rizes, she's cute)
- Scamper legions (iri button, bamboozle, spirit fury, enduring, canceling all the time… again ahrd tunnel at 5 gens for absolutely no reason)
- Weskers, while they haven't really camped but mainly tunneled I don't understand how all of them keep bming survivors.
- Springtraps with blood favor, iri pallet blocking perks and pain dms.
Those were most of killers, but let's shift further… while there are quite a lot maps top 5 maps were:
- Haddonfield
- Forgotten Ruin
- Coal Tower
- Azarov's Wresting Place
- Toba/Nostromo
9/10 games one of those maps.
As I mentioned I changed my mind. I always defend killers at higher mmr, but from the lately playing survivor role facing killers that behave extremely toxic because they can (those were 100+ games, not whining about 3 people) I think the antislug and antitunnel is a good way, not for the killers that don't play this was, it will be punishment for people who do. And as I said that conviction might cause some problems, counting games where killers attended event mode to slug at 5 gens the entire team untill they abandon… yeah changed my mind. And beg my fellow killer players to not behave toxic. The more this happens the more you punish killers like me who don't do that.
I play on eu servers on ps5 with crossplay on, iri maxed out on both surv and killer.
Im not defending anyone with this statement but when i grind BP hardcore i do survivor and when i generally feel in the mood i play killer, anyways so my WR with myers is 82%
With survivor i have 54%
When i play survivor i rarely (and i mean rarely) in like 1/7 games i get a killer that will tunnel but when i play killer almost ever second match i end up with people that are playing to provoke and bully a killer when they are not meta killers.
In short in my matches i dont see people tunneling that badly only when the gen rush is almost or already done like 1gen left or gate opening while 1 survivor on hook.
That is most common what i experienced as a survivor and when i play as a killer i experience usually 1 or 2 people max do it, while rest do gen rush and then they usually hold hostage not opening gates.

I don't think everyone is against this but I personally dislike the idea of buffing everything to the same level, be that killer or perks.
Not every killer can be S tier and not every perk can or should be popular or meta and I think them constantly trying to buff everything is a mistake, as it just creates an absolute mess of new metas and unexpected new ways to create misery for the other side.
My bad i meant to say meeting killers at middleground instead of making m1 like m2 and m2 like m1.
Either way give m1 killers a unique ability that makes them still be m1 but have some sort of mobility that being something that they can place around maps that helps them get notified of activities and such

I agree. It's a better investment of time than the new maps we get as well, which are less than ideal let's say lol
Would be really nice for m1 killers to get like small + indoor maps to somewhat avg maps but never large ones, and same goes for m2 to get large and outdoors and rarely indoors or small
That would really reward players honestly

BHVR really should have made map size dependent on the Killer or class of Killer. Killers with high mobility needs larger maps and Killers with next to zero mobility need smaller maps. The game will never be balanced having the same map sizes for Blight/Nurse/Kaneki and Trapper/Doctor/Really any M1 Killer.
Yeah i am also up for that +1
As you probably know i just main myers, scratched mirror jumpscare build and it feels very rewarding on indoor and small maps but its like pain not fun at all on large so making it map dependant would be a big plus, plus if devs do remove tunnelling and proxy camping from game then this would be good idea to implement for people!
-
I would still prefer michael having ability that lets him place shimmers or a ghost projection of him that remain in EW 1, they dont injure just slowly walk up to the survivor making them scream and get fatigued slowed down briefly maybe even exposed for real michael to know their position if across map

Here's where I have an issue though. I think the current S teir should be removed from the game in their current state and A teirs are still a bit too strong. So many killers have been powercrept in this game and I don't think it's particularly healthy to just say we should buff the c#ap out of 90% of killers to make them all as strong as top tier killers.
I am very much up for S tier to be removed from basically securing you S tier out of the box.
I think meeting in middle ground with majority of them being A Tier potentially being S tier in the right hands by utilizing perks as well only should still be viable, after all you still need skill to use perks in your favor.
My question for you right now is and for @thrawn3054 to check out my post for myers rework, it keeps his current ability by making it more of a passive stage phase ability rather than his ability ability, and then adds ability that doesnt really give him capacity to make him overboard lethal rather so it gives him that boogeyman vibe going on like in movies, he is being slept on his potential honestly.
-
I am also very unsure why myers still has only one viable lethal play in his disposal which is as we all know permanent ew 3 + kill one tap potential but that is honestly unfair for him to have only that (not as in he should have more options to insta kill) but more like making his mirror addons viable, giving him an actual ability that haunts the entire map

Would you be okay if the devs re-worked the broken high end killers like ghoul, nurse, and blight first or do you want to just bring m1 killers up to the broken level other killers are at?
Thought i made a pretty clear view how i see ghoul as, when it comes to nurse and blight, i had my fair shares of outplaying them on a avg scale of my matches that i played againts them they cant compare to my loss streak againts ghoul.
I think if you ask me and my statement is pretty bold and i will be asking for too much by saying this and its to bring m1 and m2 closer to one another and not like one side has to match other?
Not sure if that makes sense but the devs should make them meet a middle ground to the point where majority of killers can be A tier (even in wrong hands) but can still be outplayed if in wrong hands.
Again i will try not to get the post shut down by a mod because i am talking about ghoul since there is many posts but i do not like him as a killer at all, hes given every tool and mechanic at hand.

I do understand the immediate way you can rule out what killer you're up against depending on which map, but to be honest this can happen in so many different ways and is often "spoiled" almost immediately with a first injury. The box if its pinhead, clocks if its Freddy, Traps if its pig, Traps on the ground if its Trapper, Kagune mark for Ghoul, Infection for Plauge, Mend for Legion etc.
And while true, it would give you an immediate indication of wether or not this killer is a mobility one or not, that's still a massive ammount of killers it could be, before they're revealed by the first injury, terror radius, secondary objectives etc. There's 40 different killers in the game, and 49 maps, 20 realms so, I feel we have enough killer variety and enough map variety that it wouldn't be too much of an issue. The game at its core is extremely repeditive anyway, to be honest. I believe that variety is relient on perks, as the game will always feel the same if you always play with the same things.
Just my personal opinion, but I don't think there's any good reasons why killers or survivors should be automatically put at an advantage or disadvantage by maps. Maps should be an even playing ground that keeps in minds that killers limitations, counters, and strengths. Especially when we have this many, and the number is only getting bigger. In any case, thanks for opening up your discussion and sharing your thoughts :)
Cheers, i appreciate your time for writting your own thoughts and takes on this too!
I do agree that the player count grows larger, a lot of players filter out in and out, many new different playing styles too from new people too.
I myself bought the game ages ago in 2018, i also played when freddy got first released and that was very scary experience, blood pumping and the cold feel that he can see you but you cant see him until you fall asleep and such.
I do wish we get reworks that will bring the og feeling of how game changing killers can be if given them a power role (in a good way not ghoul way)
I will also love to test out if they do make maps dependant on killers, there was also a post about selecting map selection which maps you would want to be placed in the most and which ones not.
Rocket league has a similar system where you can dislike and like maps you enjoy playing, this can be implemented as well for users but it will obviously increase Q time.

From what we've seen lately, giving killers multipowers end up in a hard ballancing.
Well not obviously game breaking abilities and not to all killers, mainly like michael, maybe trapper, maybe wraith but he holds his ground pretty well.

@hermitkermit said:
I'm sure that if killrates begin to suffer for any killer, M1 or not, adjustments and buffs will be made as they have been for quite a few killers for awhile now. But everyone's idea of a "rework/buff" is also very different. Some people only consider mobility a worthwhile buff, others lethality, or full stealth etc. There's also the case of the killers identity being massively changed for the sake of a rework too. I mean, Freddy just got a rework not too long ago, but many are still not too happy with it, so reworks are quite a tricky thing to pull off especially when eveyrone has their own idea of what a rework *should* be.
I personally think we have enough maps in the game now that instead of limiting or trying to rework killers, that the maps are tied to certain killers depending on their mobility and strengths/counters. I don't believe that most of the roster of m1 killers would struggle if the maps were an appropriate size for their distance (and I believe the stats reflect this as well). Maps have a huge impact even with certain killer powers that are restricted/counter relient. Like if Blight gets put on Lerry's, that puts him at a significant disadvantage. Or if Trickster is put on Coldwind, where counterplay against him is heavily relient on RNG with having tall structures. I think maps could be the key to good balance, both for killer quality of life and survivors. Put the hunter in the right biome you know? A cheetah isn't gonna be as lethal in the mountains as it is in the savannah, but that doesn't mean the cheetah isn't strong.
Very true, to high extent it is the map variety that matters a lot, the maps should be way more linked to a killer and their playstyle but then you will probably get handful of players saying that makes the matches way too obvious its a mobility teleport killer if you get large maps, and for m1 killers that get indoor or smaller maps.
There is way too many variables where you kinda come to a point and realize you need to either match m2 killers to m1 capabilities or match m1 killers to m2 killers to reach optimal balance.
As much as it would be fun to have ghoul on largest possible maps and spread out gens, it will get repetitive and you can always guess if its dredge, ghoul, springtrap or other killers.
Again its up to discussion thats why we are here, my take on it is that we should fight for awareness to try and match m1 killers to m2 capabilities not with giving them dash or teleport rather something to give them a hybrid edge like give them something to fear againts not go like "oh here comes michael lets run it back to a loop"
Freddy used to be one of most feared killers he literally gave you adrenalin out of fear

I would say legion is pretty decent for me im really happy with what i can accomplish in a match no matter if i draw or win its always fun chaotic i manage to hit high grades have decent performance almost always.
Wraith is wraith i personally dont run him much, he could probably get a rework to make him feared more due to his cloaking make it so his ability throws off all users across the map by thinking the shimmer is him but its not (im just doing brainstorming rn for him)
Clown has been worked on, honestly playing him was pretty balanced but did not try newest changes due to being on ps5.
Now freddy, oh boy, freddy, back in the day he was one of those killers that you would clench 24/7 but now devs made him be more seen by playees than before where he would be lore accurate to movies and appear in dreams.

I'm not against it per se. But i think that at a systemic level, it needs to be adressed that like, half the killer roster is just unviable, with only like 3-4 viable at the highest level.
I don't think you need to just "buff m1 killers" you need to basically buff killers as a whole, while nerfing the top tier killers that will benefit most from those nerfs.
That is my point, and i think we can all here agree we are living in "fear" of some sort that devs might ruin them even more, but if we dont try to spread awareness whats the point it will always remain 3 or 4 killers at high level, and in casual levels people will just stick to mostly ONE certain playstyle with them to get a win because again this will loop around everything thats wrong with the game like how people feel rewarded by playing the games, match queue times etc.
What is really needed is some sort of voice as a whole to have a period of time where devs as a whole connect with us in real time spend like full week on forums giving advice and their POV's and feedback their thoughts.
Right now we have surveys which are not really 1 to 1 experience we really need.
I would say as game has in game events there has to be some sort of event or time period every month or anually where devs + community teams + users sit down and talk (not literally) but in a form of constant attention a break period of their vision.

i'm fine with there being some m1 killers w/o mobility but for example pig they destroyed her traps to make her more chase oriented so all that tells me is we deserve dash killers
Yeah im very sad to see what they have done to the pig, its honestly my 2nd played killer due to how fun and chaotic you can be with torturing the survivors by just ambushing them with traps.
The whole dash thing is a no no.
I made a myers rework which would make him be like omnipresent evil that lurks all across the map as he does in movies he is always there somewhere and can ambush you from anywhere
But to get back to the topic i would want us to work together to spread awareness about not being scared and fight for whats right and asymmetrical for the game and playstyles

I agree that more variables should change depending on who the killer is. Like hey, if we want to keep the current ghoul we could totally keep him if we make it that gens all take like forty seconds to fix.
I mean yeah but we are entering an area of balancing which needs a total rework of killers again, because just touching one side of the game will break the other side thats how bugs and fears come true for players that are in fear of devs ruining the fun in majority of killers because harsh reality is YES they function as intended and they are viable to play only the set of addons to make them lethal lets keep it at that, but that is just so wrong when a killer can be played in a different way like myers for example.

if every killer gets teleports and map mobility we can revert to old map sizes instead of trying to shove 7 gens in the wendy's parking lot, right? because the whole rationale for making maps tiny and terrible was "muh m1 killers".
Funny you mention teleporting, i never mentioned devs to rework m1 killers with teleport ability?
There are some high quality rework suggestions that get downvoted but are really mind blowing and would make the game much more asymmetrical than the current design for killers.
Giving teleport ability to m1 killers wont fix anything, but actually giving them a hybrid unique ability which still makes them primarly M1 killers.

I still think he should get an ability power to create a shape of him i made a post about it, his ability would be called something like manifest evil so either 1 or 2 shimmers mirages of him that lurk in shadows stick to the corners and slowly stalk the survivor but they wont damage just make them scream and slow them down

I see that Myers use tombstones 24/7 and every game i go against Myers they have tombstone piece add on
If it's so popular, it might easily become basekit. Myers is allowed to kill 4 survivors total, he used to be able to kill 2 max. So 3 tombstone kills basekit would be fine.

bhvr, can you please give us the option to have 2 different buttons to pick up or search the locker? Let me give you an example.
i played against 4 survivors with 4 flashlights i don't have any issues with flashlights at all… but
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4UG9S2MZLGGO/87678.png
but when i downed one of them, i couldn't pick the survivor up because she was facing the locker, but if this QoL was in the game, then i could press the shift keybind or whatever to pick up that survivor without opening the locker.

Thank you for reading.
Apperently the recent patch note says they fixed priority for picking up downed survivor facing locker, but apperently not since its not fixed at all.

I do like the gen rework idea where skill checks are smaller when working together and penalty for it, and reverting back from 90 -> 100.
This will make players especially casuals spread out more how its intended, if the team still feels ballsy to do same gen they can go ahead but will be met with close to great skill checks only making it high risk high reward.
Then for the rest of rework i like but again we have to wait and see what devs will reveal at the end of 2025 for us since they did say guaranted QoL

I'm a killer main, fam. I just wanted to point out how ridiculous your statement was.
Not sure if you are employed or unemployed, playing on console or pc with mnk, but i still stand by what i said.
If we go by the ideology you said then tunneling should be allowed if its a method killers use when desperate to put some pressure to get a kill or two and feel rewarded for their 15 minute q times.
On top of that i have a ps5 and play controller to relax after work.
Again if you are unemployed or never worked a single job in your life then you cant possibly know how annoying and unfair it is to use your free time after work to play few matches as a killer who ends up getting with 3 to 4 stacked teams that finish a match in 5 minutes and make you feel powerless because everywhere you rotate they pop the gen you just came from just because of their comms.
The only thing that feels rewarding againts those players is to tunnel them nothing else, if they are friendly i am friendly we grind BP together and XP.
Simple as it is im not a monster but i can be if other people are too.

"Don't have friends and stop playing the objective"
Using your ideology, then my objective is to tunnel to prevent your objective :)
So no! I will continue doing my objective!

I know there's some update coming out in the future, but if it came out yesterday, it is still horribly long overdue.
90% of games, someone is getting tunneled out or proxy camped. And probably around a third of these games, it's just a hard tunnel right off of hook. This is absolutely insane. These jerk killer players are KILLING THIS GAME.
To everyone who says "tunneling is a valid strategy" … no, it's not. That is a circular argument. This is only a valid strategy so long as the devs leave it untouched. The minute they put their foot down and say no more and put in a meaningful change to stop this nonsense from happening every other game, then it will no longer be a valid strategy.
A simple thing that can be done is doubling the anti-camp radius. And you can also increase the duration of endurance and haste off of hook based off of how many more hook states a survivor has compared to all the other survivors.
Then stop playing in a 4 stack party with vc and gen rushing!

Because it doesn't match his appearence in the movies at all, would overcomplicate him, make him less unique, and changes his playstyle into going for Knight-esque Sandwiches
If you really watched the original movie + other movies this is exactly what he does, appears in people visions, dreams, mirrors, windows.
Plus there are many other licensed characters that strive away from their actual capabilities from movies.
IF anything this will give him somewhat realistic approach to being a killer that is not to be slept on.
He would have his own unique playstyle which jumpscares people and unlike knight that chases u across the map and can injure and down you, michael one wont do that just make u scream and ping

@VibranToucan said:
So you want to completely change how a character with a solid playerbase works, and turn him into a knock off Knight? That seems like a bad idea.
No I want him to keep his same abilities but have an extra one which will be a hybrid knight, unknown, doctor version but not the same and way slower and only for jumpscare, info, mobility, map control.
After all every killer has been getting a rework so why not michael the og killer that evolved the current mechanic for other killers.
Also this would rework his basekit + devs should really rework the singular playstyle everyone says that he is only viable as a killer and apperently its the tombstone.

The manifestation will always remain undetectable in tier 1.
The terror radius will remain what it is for the killer at EW 1.
Current perks will still show the real killer no matter what.

Purposely choosing advantageous maps is an issue, but letting people effectively 'soft ban' killers is so so so sooo much worse of an idea its insane and i dunno why people keep suggesting it, other than again, seeking advantages and introduces a whole host of issues with it.
As for MMR, well unfortunately people want faster and decent matching times (fair tbh) so it has to come at the cost of widening the MMR search parameters the longer someone is searching (mostly killer as survivor queues are quick). We'll have to wait and see what BHVR have planned for MMR changes, but there isnt really an easy "fix" apart from making people wait longer for a better matched game (if thats really possible with the disparity between general survivor skill levels and killer skill levels). But also consider this isnt a competitive game (in the sense that its not ranked not that its PvP), and that strict matching isnt wholly necessary all of the time.
There's too many variables to account for to really aim for constant "fair and equal matches" all the time imo.
I agree, i think map offerings should stay rng to make it fair, mmr wise i hope they have something in plan for the entire system since they did reveal its coming
-
@Shinkiro said:
NO, people need to STOP thinking up and suggesting ways to manipulate matchmaking for their own benefit(while destroying queue times). If you don't want to play the match you're given for whatever reason then simply leave the game.
Yeah and end up searching for 15mins for a new match lol good job.
The entire MMR matchmaking is rigged and absolutely broken it doesnt account for players with experience + players playing with friends.
I honestly think its not even maps fault as much as matchmaking balance.
Matching new players that had couple of good games back to back with high playtime users?
Where is the logic and fairness in that
