I’m just frustrated. I really hate BBQ. I do (or attempt to do) the right things: reach a locker in time, reposition myself on the generator, try to get within BBQ’s blind spot range, get myself near a loop with a pallet ready for the killer.
But quite often I’m quickly screwed or cucked. I’m tired of the idea that somebody ELSE losing their chase punishes other players. And the part where so many killers are putting in zero mental effort to find survivors.
You do realize that it's not for tracking. People only run it for BP. If they switched the BP bonus to a perk like Monstrous Shrine, everyone would be running that instead.

Which is WHY killers already have ACCESS to tracking/hunting tools, even WITHOUT perks.
@MandyTalk or @Peanits can we have clarification? Is it against the game rules to noise notification spam near a team mate simply to attract the killer because they don’t like the way another survivor chooses to play?
None of those do anything against someone who takes hiding really seriously. It's the most boring thing to play against. Maybe I'd crouching could trigger crows, I'd be fine with it.

This would not work how can a guy who can destroy cities with 1 attack lose to pallets and flashlights? Wouldn't make any sense at all
More like a planet sized building, but whatever.
He would, of course, be following Aizens orders to be in the Entities realm. Since he's in the Entities realm, it can nerf him like it did with Freddy. It would be like a mix of Freddy and PH. He, or Aizen, whatever, made a deal with it. Maybe Aizen could use survivors souls to make the Oken. And then the Entity would nerf him as he's WAY too powerful.
It can make a lot of sense if you think about how Aizen operates, what he wants, how that affects Ulquiorra, and the situations of other killers.

I maybe phrased this poorly, Ichigo is the protagonist I was referencing. Ulquiorra is the speed bump. He's just your average very powerful (but not too powerful!) Cool and collected foe for the protag to defeat. Sasuke is a variation in this theme for Naruto.
But then again, maybe things changed at some point. I read the manga up until they defeated Aizen but that was more than a decade ago. I remember the quality taking a huge dip from when it started out.
Although you are right about the speed bump thing, Ulquiorra was still more powerful than most of the Sternritter. He was the most powerful Espada, as well as the character with the most destructive power in the entire Bleachverse. Even more so than Yamamoto. He destroyed Las Noches without even trying with a SINGLE Lanza del Ramlampago. Las Noches is confirmed to be larger than Earth, making him powerful on a planetary level. He also killed Ichigo not once, but twice. Both times, he came back to life were through plot armor. So I think he deserves a better title than speed bump.

Thats the only anime killer I would probably allow in this game lol
Same. Well, maybe Gin or As Nodt would work, but yeah, I agree other than those two.

@YOURFRIEND said:
I appreciate the thought that's gone into this.... But it's just not an interesting character. Just another speed bump on the road to shounen protagonist superiority. All of these dudes are the same character. Nothing interesting about them
He's not a protagonist at all. He's one of the main antagonists for like 13 seasons. The protagonist, however, is complete garbage carried by plot armor, so I can understand this line of thinking. Protagonists are boring.
But antagonists are some of the most interesting and complex characters you'll ever find. Ulquiorra is one of them.

Sandbagging is actively sabotaging a teammate usual to help the killer and/or kill the teammate faster, in which revealing their location to have the killer find them is sabotaging them. Even if they’re hiding, as long as they are doing objectives and being somewhat useful, there is no good reason to do so. Everyone has their own play style and find fun in their own way.
I'm all for playing your own way, but I also feel more compassion for killers who have to deal with their bullshit. Stealth sucks for killers, and I feel bad for them. I still save off of hooks, do gens, etc.

But that’s subjective. It may not be boring to them, or whoever else is in the match.
It is boring to EVERYONE else. I'm pretty sure you mentioned that you play stealthily in another thread. If so, you wouldn't understand how boring it is to others.

Be creative and put thought into your perk, and just have fun making it!
Heres mine: Damaging Goals: Every time you hit 3/2/1 survivor(s) with a basic attack the perk activates, the next survivor that Repairs a Gen, Heals Themselves or Others, Cleansing Totems, Opening Chests, and Opening a Exit Gate will have there aura shown for 4/5/6 seconds.
The perk deactivates after the aura duration is complete.
Pesquisa: After chasing an individual survivor for 60/40/30 seconds, you can see 1/2/3 of their perks for 2/4/6 seconds.
This would work on all survivors.
This perk would come with Ulquiorra Cifer. Pesquisa is an arrancar ability that allows the arrancar to judge an abilities strengths and weaknesses, as well as the level of an enemies reiatsu (spiritual pressure).
Sonido: After getting 7/6/5 hooks, press the active ability button to move at 500/600/700% speed for 2/3/4 seconds.
Sonido is a Hollow ability that allows Hollows to move at the speed of sound. The Hollow equivalent to Hirenkyaku or Shunpo.
Hierro: You can no longer be stunned by pallets. Decreases movement speed by 7/6/5%.
Hierro is an arrancar ability that allows the arrancar to have skin tougher than iron by compressing their reiatsu into their skin.
These would all come with Ulquiorra

Nurse and Blight. I'm naturally good at anything like Nurse, who I can't really tell if I was a natural with her, considering the fact that when she came out, she was super OP.

The reality is he cannot do anything at certain loops that have high walls, and I mean NOTHING. The biggest bandaid fix would be making him 115% so he is atleast viable in those areas.
You leave those chases. You also do this with other killers. Leave a potentially long chase.

Who are you to decide how they should play? You intentionally lead the killer to your teammates using noisy actions, that's sandbagging.
Then they can learn the hard way how it feels to play games where you don't find anyone for the first 5 minutes.
I hate Blendies with a passion. They deserve to get facecamped and tunneled every game.
Unless they don't abuse stealth to genrush. Those guys are fine.

@TheClownIsKing said:

No, it’s definitely a type of sandbagging.
Initiating a chase isn't the definition of sandbagging. Not as I've heard it anyways.
Sandbagging is helping the killer in the chase, as in dropping pallets on the survivor, or bodyblocking

I mean, is that fair though?!
Just because they’re hiding doesn’t mean they’re not doing objectives when not hiding.
This sounds like griefing.
But, they're making the game more boring. I don't give two shits about who wins as long as the majority of the players have fun.
Again, I only do this to people who intentionally make the game more boring.

Congratulations on making soloQ more miserable that it is already. Also, that's formally a bannable offense: sandbagging and cooperating with the killer.
Unfortunately for you, no it's not. I don't affect the actual chase. I make the game more fun.
I'm not cooperating with the killer at all.
No, I'm refusing to cooperate with a boring playstyle.
I only do this to Blendies. They make the game incredibly boring. They know this, and yet they still refuse to play the game like a decent person.

@danielmaster87 said:
Yeah, don't sabotage when you're near the other survivors. That's like fast vaulting or going in and out of a locker near them.
I do this to Blendies. You want to hide? I'll make damn sure you can't.

I am really happy about the second hook being a skill check now. Good for the creators for listening to their audience. I think that makes playing the game more accessible and inclusive for people who couldn’t tap that button that fast to struggle.
I also like how the killer can’t immediately down a survivor fresh off the hook.
Lets give credit where credit is due and comment your favorite updates!

@Zixology said:
When playing Killer or Survivor, what has to happen in game for you to give up? And what do you do in game to signal that you've given up?
Mine for Killer: If the number of gens completed exceeds the number of hooks I've gotten, I will stop what I'm doing and stand at the door and wait to open it.
Mine for Survivor: Two things. Either the killer has gotten more than double the amount of hooks as we have gens done, OR if all of my living survivors are hooked/downed near each other.
If I can tell I'm against a really new team. I don't want to make people stop playing, so I'll act like a baby Nurse and let them bully me.
Otherwise, I don't have one. I always know that if I have a rough start, I can easily slug a 4 man team in a minute and 30 seconds. Only reason I don't do this is because it isn't fun, so I hold back. So none for killer.
As survivor, it's when I face a Trapper, Hag, or Trickster. Not because they're guaranteed the win, but because it's a guaranteed boring match for me.
-
Nope. That makes less variety. So hard no.

DH literally always works if you're smart enough to use it right.

The only way I would think this would be fun is if DS didn’t cancel when performing interactions. Since that happens I really don’t want 60 seconds of being slowed so regardless of what I do I’m useless.
No. You aren't getting tunneled if you're on a gen.
To OP, this is perfect.

I use Sole Survivor a lot.
No. I do NOT want team mates to die.
So why do I use it? Amongst other reasons, the biggest reason is I hate, hate, HATE Myers, Wraith, and Pig’s wall hack add ons. I know they’re rare. I experience them in matches only occasionally. But when I am in a match without using some sort of aura blocking, these add ons drive me CRAZY 🥴
Sole Survivor isn’t a magic ticket in these instances, but 1 token at least reduces the severity of my chances being next to die once the team has been reduced from 4 to 3 survivors.
I almost never take off Visionary anymore. I hate wondering where the last 3 gens are, especially on indoor maps. But a better reason I use it for is to know where I shouldn’t lead chases, in case there are teammates trying to repair it.
Shadowborn on Nurse for the rare moment I get 360d out of a blink.

They could get a manga killer with enough interest...that sounds awesome actually 😎
I'm glad you feel the same way, but most of the community thinks otherwise.
They try to stick to the 5 years old way of thinking that this is a horror game, and say that manga characters don't belong. However, this game is not horror anymore, and a manga killer would be really refreshing from all of the popular horror killers. Anyways, they say that Trickster was the only manga character that should ever be added, and the devs will likely listen. That's why I'm mad about Trickster. He's likely going to be the only manga killer, meaning that he's quite literally just wasted potential.

Yeah but against higher ranks I guarantee you would pick nurse over trickster
No #########. Just because he's viable doesn't make him fun to play.
Not to mention the fact that he's just a manga ripoff. They could've at LEAST contacted Tite Kubo and get Ulquiorra, As Nodt, or Gin Ichimaru in here instead. Even if they weren't strong, I'd have a blast stomping survivors with Lanza del Ramlampago, fear thorns, which could've been a REALLY interesting mechanic, or Kamishini no Yari, which would be an interesting variant to ranged killers. A manga character had so much potential if they had it licenced, but no. They just HAD to go for the dumbass Kpop idol. I'm still mad about this.
Just had to get this off my chest😂

I guess it is easier to win with her than other characters seeing how she avoids everything survivors do(loops, pallets, etc.)
True. But I find her more fun than other killers because of her unique playstyle. I like hag for the same reason, although I don't like her outfits and overall look as much as I do with Nurse.
I love the elegance of Nurse. I just like that theme in general. It's why my only hag outfit is queen of the mire.
I also enjoy chases more than anything else on both sides, which is why I like Oni, Huntress, Blight, and Demogorgon.
All of these contribute to why I love Nurse. Contrary to popular belief, I don't play her as an easy win.

which survivor perks from dead by daylight are true to your abilities in real life?
for me it's probably
- iron will - i don't vocalise when injured. several piercings done and not a peep the whole time
- alert - weirdly, i can tell when the front door of the house gets opened because of the way the air pressure moves. anyone else got something like this?
- up the ante - known for always getting rare drops in video games, rolling high on need/greed. my friends get upset with me when we compete on loot in ffxiv because i always win it lol
- autodidact - i'm a fast learner, rapidly iterating and improving on new skills in a short period of time.
maybe it doesn't have to be only survivor perks. if anyone has a history of spontaneously causing technical difficulties for electrical devices nearby then, by all means, tell me you have surge 😂 i've definitely heard that's a thing for some people.
Sprint Burst. I can run faster than anyone I know-- for about 5 seconds. Then I'm slower than most.
Visionary. Although this isn't necessarily the perk, I can envision multiple scenarios in my head in a short amount of time.
WGLF. No one hurts my friends. Ever.
Calm Spirit. Idk why, but a lot of animals like me.

Terrible idea. I play a game where this is the case, because the Forum-Account is created automatically when someone creates an Account for the game. And while this does not really show the most relevant stats (but those can be seen on third-party sites and the name is obviously the correct one), it shows the winrate. And this can easily be used to shame players.
Now, to be fair, most of the time those players who have bad stats are those who complain most about the game (and you dont get shamed for bad stats, e.g. I am not amazing at said game, but I am not dumb, so I will not complain about stuff and know that I am the problem why I dont win enough, lol), but, this can easily happen here as well.
"You are only Rank 5 Killer? You have no idea what we are tallking about"... It would just give another reason to dismiss peoples opinions.
Also, while this would help with the "You dont play Killer/Survivor"-mentality, seeing the Rank of the person can mean exactly nothing. There are Killer Main-Streamers who really dont play Survivor often and are at Rank 15 or something as Survivor who have more understanding of balance than some other Streamers who are Rank 1 on both sides and claim all the time that they play both sides.
So it would not even be a reliable indicator if someone is experienced in a role or not.
And it would make people not believe baiters like Sluzzy.

I have, i've tried everything, nothing helps Trickster. Survivors just keep looping or Gen rushing because they know Trickster is the easiest to get away from right now, its like they're farming only the killer isn't part of it
And i don't appreciate you saying 'get good' when thats often used as an insult to players doing badly.
I'm a decent killer with others, but Trickster is not in a good place right now. Everyone has bad matches some time, Trickster gets them more because its underpowered. Its slow, its knife throws are inaccurate (meaning you try to throw at the middle, but it just goes left or right) and main event is hardly useful.
If a killer is only good because of what map they're on and is only good against low rank survivors, then its in desperate need of a change
Yes. He needs a buff. Several, in fact. But he's still viable
