"close to 75%" is not 3 kills. It's still an average of 2 kills as we're talking about players so rounding up is not correct. It's still a 2k average with a high tendency for a 3k. There's not "half a survivor" afterall.

Also no killer even had a 75% kill rate (at least not across ALL ranks which is more relevant than only red ranks when talking about advertising a game). Even on red ranks only Freddy, Spirit and Hillbilly were either at or above 75%. That's literally only 3 killers out of 20 and one of them just got nerfed.

On top of that the kill rates themselves aren't even relevant anymore as they were recorded BEFORE THE RUIN CHANGE.

And even when they were released the devs themselves told everyone to take the stats with a grain of salt as they included afk survivors, survivors that suicided on hooks, disconnects etc.

Yet people are still using these (outdated) stats from 2019. Unbelieveable.

Im pretty sure they said they dont count disconnects in their stats.

Not sure about afk survivors but thats balanced out by all the deranking afk wraiths or killers that give hatch or killers that farm and let everyone go

  • And? Put the penalties back in and you get a return to 1st hook suicides or killers just giving up and facecamping.

He may have a point. Unrelenting is MVP. It didn't save timestamp, skip to 5:20 for the game.

  • Otzdarva made a good point. A number of "gen rush" videos take place on this map. It is commonly the safest map whenever the stats are posted. It's like the opposite of Hawkins.

  • reason #256 why dc penalties shouldn't exist. I had a 2 man swf the other day trying to force the killer to farm me, and the killer was all too willing to co-operate.

  • BBQ is fine. It promotes not camping. Now that Billys been nerfed the perk is fine.

Spine chill would be worthless at 20m. It's pretty much needed against GF anyway otherwise he comes at a blind spot and has no penalty to attacking. He was designed with an audio warning in mind but obviously people cried so the devs just gave him none. How fair.

  • Lol you can tell he doesnt actually play solo survivor.

The only ones asking for Doc to be nerfed are those who aren't that good at survivor, really. He's only B tier, lol

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1470921#Comment_1470921

Also - go tell Archdruid Drey they Doctor is easy. By saying that, you're saying he requires very little skill and timing. Doc is all about timing. You just have an issue with any killer that says "no, you can't just run in a circle and hur dur drop a pallet to loop me". Judging by your post history.

Nope, learning new things is no bueno.

Lol look at the salt in that post at the mere thought of a change.

When you go up against a killer and notice you’re losing time and time and time again....that’s when you start to realize that maybe something is a little overpowered because on average this should even out. Its not that the Doctor is massively overpowered but he’s perhaps a little bit too strong for how easy he can be to pick up and play.

But judging by your post history Im guessing its a case of “I just want to pick a good killer who lets me win the ez 4k hurr durr why should I have to put in time at getting good at the game”

  • This and Hawkins are garbage. They actually ruin the game. Hawkins especially. Its completely unbalanced and no fun to play when its so hard to find objectives.

Just admit the maps are awful and rework them. Everybody likes the classic maps where you can clearly your objectives and move towards them, have multiple routes to said objective and aren’t filtered down long corridors, and where chases are more than just holding forward. This kind of map design is terrible.

  • He seems a little too easy to use imo. Like when I go against a Doc in solo I know for sure we arent winning, even if the killer is mediocre.

He’s not as bad as Billy in that regard but I do think its a tad too easy for an average Doctor to be able to beat a team of average survivors. You really need a solid team to win.

  • The more you play Spirit, the more you learn to tell when she’s faking it. Also you learn the best locations to stand at.

  • True. Its always the medicore survivors that tbag the most.

I see so many run Blendette with sprint burst. They pick the character the killer wont spot, and if they do get caught they have a free escape. Its such a no skill playstyle yet they all think they’re gods.

  • Outside of insidious memes which are extremely rare I barely see any learherface campers.

Its always the stealth killers or low terror radius. Wraith, Ghostface, Deathslinger, and to a lesser extent these days Pig.

Good luck ever seeing a Ghostface or Deathslinger leave the hook.

  • NOED needs to stop rewarding bad players. You see so many bad Wraiths/Spirits/any killer really commit to multiple gen chases in an effort to tunnel one survivor because they know they have NOED coming along to help them out at the end. I’d make NOED something that rewards hooking each survivor.

Dead hard - the distance needs to go. You shouldnt be able to add so much extra time on to a chase just with the press of a button, which you can easily with dead hard depending on what kind of safe zone you make it to. For people like myself who learned how to keep the killer going without perks and without any mistakes I wonder why I bother when I could just take this and make up for any misplay.

Sprint burst - Just needs to go. Its between this and NOED for the biggest crutch in the game. Just urban evade around the map as P3 claudette all game, and if you do get spotted here’s a perk that grants you a free pallet/jungle gym and add so much time to the chase just by holding forwards.

As a solo player you are forced to check every single totem spawn on the map to be sure all of them are broken. You can't trust your team to have done them. It's not exactly enjoyable to get smacked at the end of the game for a surprise one hit.

I also think it inflates kill numbers for killers, making them look more lethal than they really are.

It really does inflate kill counts. I see so many games where NOED can secure an extra kill or two all by itself.

But when you mention this to killer mains it goes over their head and they refuse to see any changes to the biggest crutch on the killer side.

  • NOED is highly overpowered against solos and mostly useless against a 4 man swf. It enables the worst kind of players to tunnel/camp all game too knowing they will get their endgame crutch.

    It needs a rework.

  • Everybody knows you don’t see good players with NOED but you’ll always see bad players with NOED.

    It really is “training wheels”.

  • Hes barely been nerfed though. They caved in to all the pressure.

So again Billy will be holding back all the other M1 killers

Hackers/Cheaters are ultra rare + you can NEVER completely get rid of them.

True but they have been increasing the past few months and Behaviour doesnt appear tk have done much about it.

You know what isnt rare though? Trolls. People that have no intention of playing normally, or working with the killer, or sandbagging.

DC penalties should go once bots are in so that people that want to rage quit at least leave everyone else with a bot.

Thrilling, Sloppy, STBFL and Pop are what I use most often on him.

He doesn't have any map pressure so thrilling and pop can give him some. Sloppy also makes survivors heal longer which is good for wasting time but you could also swap this with Ruin.

Stbfl is just an amazing perk on any killer.

Really? I notice a lot of hits come from his M2 thats why I was unsure about sloppy. With STBFL do you lose tokens on the obsession kr try to M2 them everytime?

Pop I was 50\50 on due to caging but yeah I noticed that im hooking way more than caging.

At the moment im trying different perks but Infectious seems pretty good on him.

  • Alert is one of those perks that’s really really good and you want to take it but something happens in your games and you have to resort to meta perks or other perks.

Its the problem with introducing perks to fix design flaws in the game

Ive been trying it on and off the past few weeks though and I forgot how good it was.

  • I’d be annoyed if they nerfed her again after they caved in to pressure and reverted the Billy balance patch.

  • My first game of the day trolls that work with the killer to farm other players.

Until BHVR fix this (lets be honest they never will) I’d rather they didnt bring them back. I’ll go back to not touching survivor once the penalties are in.

  • Yeah this was obvious to me week one, but as soon as you point it out they accuse you of being a “survivor main”. You can’t win and many of them cant see their own bias

First he was my last bbq stack and he had a key so they is a reason...

Secound no it was not the main reason I picked this killer (I never touched her before and I relly want to play with all killers)

And last no I don't try to "troll" people why do you think that?

Cus reading your original post you mentioned all of that and then laughed about it.

I still dont get why you left him on the ground?

  • Yeah in optimal settings she’s a beast. Shame that some maps limit her potential.

  • So you pick a killer because you heard they’re unfun to go against, leave a guy on the ground for no reason? And then give it the “ezay” post game.....are you just trying to troll people and get a reaction?

  • He’s not great. Survivors splitting up and large maps hurts him.

  • Every survivor taking Dead hard makes her unfun to play too. Blink towards survivors area, blink at the survivor, survivor dead hards, nothing you can do but eat the fatigue even if you predict it and dont swing. Wait for recharge and then blink blink again. It just makes her slow.

I worry this will happen to Huntress too when they get rid of her exhaustion add ins. Nothing better than lining up a perfect one in a million shot just for someone to press E and render it null and void.

  • Rotten fields.

I’d like to imagine the corn has been balanced a bit, but sadly I imagine its going to be thicker than ever before

  • For balance. Makes it easier to balance with existing killers and new killers going forwards.

Just be glad that infectious fight doesnt have that requirement yet

  • yes please delete. Get rid of Legion too while you’re at it.

  • Yeah you try to lunge around a corner and you feel the game pull your weapon towards a barrel or something.

I also have a feeling this “aim-dressing” is a reason why 360s seem to work better than they used to.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1465918#Comment_1465918

Well let's put it like this. Tunneling how most people view it in a real scenario is when you have a choice between a fresh hook and a death hook after playing normally. Chances are you're going to take the death hook just to relieve map pressure to enable you more chances to hook other survivors. Some situations could call for other actions though but that is the most favorable outcome.

Most of us know that just doubling back to hook each time someone is unhooked usually loses you the game.

If you have 2 gens left and see two survivors at equal distance, one on death hook and the other has only been hook once then by all means o for the death hook guy. It sucks when that happens but its understandable for most players.

People just hate when the killer goes out of their way i.e proxy camping the hook to chase the survivor down the moment they’re unhooked, or seeing two survivors like above but the guy on a 1st hook is right next to you, the one on death hook is in an incredibly safe area and you just walk past all other survivors and ignore them to commit to a 3 minute chase just to try and get one guy out.

  • Like @anarchy753 said, take Bond. You can see a survivor coming and its easy to tell based on their movement if they’re being chased.

Also I’m sure most players arent doing it on purpose unless they are playing Claudette. From experience claudette players will purposefully lead the killer to you to save themselves.

I love threads like that. There are many people out there that state the solo Q is so bad because the teammates are potatoes.... Strange that they never play with each other...

What i am trying to say. Solo Q is just harder. you cannot rely on others, you have to be more aware of the killers whereabouts and stuff. But yeah, sometimes there is somebody that is not helping, but honestly i think Solo Q is absolutely legit. Just my opinion.

I see what you’re saying but honestly its definitely potatoes.

How is it I can last so long in a chase but everyone else seems to go down in about 10 seconds?

Why do they make the same mistakes that green ranks make? I.e running into the basement while injured, even against killers like Hag? Or they unhook in front of the killer with no borrowed time

and if you take Bond or Empathy, you can see exactly what they do and they are not red rank material.

You click their profile and some have 100-200 hours on the game. When people say red rank they assume those with way more. Changing rank reset definitely watered down red ranks that is undebatable. The game is not matching players of similar skill levels.

But its funny when I play killer and now all of a sudden all the survivor profiles have around 3,500 hours. Wish I was joking with that last part but the 3,500 number I’ve seen so much the past week. Seems all the good players have gone swf.

  • Yup. Solo queue is awful. There are so many trolls, and I feel like the worse solo queue gets the less people want to actually play normally so they just go on to mess about.

You either get trolls or potatoes. I’ve been watching Tru3 and stream and between that and threads like these it’s a relief to know I’m not the only one having a miserable experience, especially on the EU servers.

Killer often wins with only 2 gens done, and you often die on your first hook. Not only that but you often lose to mediocre players too. Seeing hard tunneling freddys/spirits/legions be given an easy win on a plate pains me. Back in the day these guys would have been shredded at red rank solo.

All we can do is hope that MMR actually works otherwise I wont be going back to solo survivor.

  • Well this thread didnt work out.

Since ive been playing, probably just after vac pallets went (lucky I never got to experience those) I think I’d call the map reworks the most significant change they’ve made to the game. Having Ironworks, abbatoir, wretched shop and others not be unplayable and have the entire game play out around one window on the map is HUGE.

  • Spirit please. Even though 50% of killers play Spirit I think most survivors would take another Spirit over another Legion.

Also Spirit is fun to play and strong, Legion is neither.

  • in terms of difficulty....

Solo survivor -> Killer -> swf

People may disagree with me putting survivor as the hardest but with how watered down ranks are now in solo survivor you’re expected to carry an entire team and babysit new players. Trying to do gens while the rank 20 keeps missing skillchecks and setting back your progress. Having your entire team go down in the shack and then you have to rescue them all from the basement. Getting healed and having them miss the skillcheck and bring the killer over. Basically everytime they screw up it’s up to you to bail them out. Give me killer anyday.

kinda, but billy got nerfed too much, spirit or freddy really need a look at.

Probably this is a map problem, a good solo team will be able to do this

Maybe it’s just me but I always saw Billy as a bigger problem than Spirit.

Freddy aint that bad hes just dull and needs a few tweaks.

Bro, Billy and Nurse are dead and no one will use them anymore. So they don't count anymore

Nurse.....is awkward but theres no denying that someone with a lot of hours on Nurse could come back. So long as they dont have corn blindness.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1465482#Comment_1465482

######### dude you were complaining about billy and now you think billy is the only killer able to do a comeback on this situation?

Why the change of heart? did you got called survivor main and want to change your reputation here? 😂

This was a case of “killer was kind of screwed in this situation”.

Sometimes the killer just makes a really bad play and they dont deserve to come back. but Billy always can, and he has that insane snowball potential from the beginning of the game.

Basically I feel this is more of an issue with this map and I would guess likely swf. Solos dont separate on gens like that.

  • Lol this is basically what I posted a few hours back so I’m glad someone else can understand this.

If players are penalized for quitting, they will go out via hook suicides which means no bots for anyone left in the game.

I’d rather have bots. If someone hook suicides you can’t resurrect them into a bot.

  • Lol knew it would be this game from earlier before I opened the thread.

Actual gameplay starts 4 seconds in, 3rd gen pops at 1:44 so 1 minute and 40 seconds for 3 gens. That means the extra 20 seconds were likely the survivors running to seperate generators.

Its not good. I feel the map is part of the problem. Rotten Fields has never been a good map. I thought they were shrinking it? It seems just as big as ever. Anyway so you have a huge map where the gens are spread out and then you have corn everywhere so you can’t see what gens are being worked on from a distance.

I don’t get why some people turn their nose up at Corrupt Intervention. That would have massively helped here. Based on how quick that went I would guess survivors started on the far gens, corrupt would have locked them off and forced the survivors inwards, which I feel would have changed the start of this game a lot.

Yeah the devs say they expect early gens to go fast but losing gens like this theres only really Billy or Nurse that can come back from that or a strong campy Hag game.

  • They wont be as effective no but 3 survivors and a bot is better than 3 survivors, and a Killer being taken over by a bot so you can open the gates and escape is better than the game ending when the killer rage quits once the last gen is done

  • DS and BT. They’re almost mandatory.

I took them off today and so far fingers crossed the games have been ok. I’m sure there will be a bad run tomorrow though that makes me out them back on.

Anyway I’ve been trying out a few builds tonight and it turns out I love a Bond and Alert combo. You get so much information. With Bond you can find teammates to heal you, teammates who need healing, see which gens are being worked on, know if someone is being chased towards you or if you’re being chased and running towards other survivors on a generator. Alert lets you know where the killer is, which areas are gonna be deadzones, and which direction the killer is heading after kicking something. I’ve been pairing it with Inner Strength for self-sufficient healing and to get the totem count down and Repressed alliance? The one that blocks off gens to delay Pop.

If you want to go stealth try Alert, Iron will, spine chill and then maybe something like Urban evasion, fixated, or that perk of Jeffs I forgot the name but it blocks aura reading.
