Killer is less stressful than solo survivor. As killer if I lose then often its because I used a mediocre killer and went against good players. As survivor you go against bad players who cant chase very well but sit around the hook and still get to win because the survivors you get put with are empty-headed.
If its a toxic swf tbagging OoO group then just camp, slug and tunnel and play toxic. The idea there isnt to win, its just about trying to ruin the game for them as much as they’re trying to ruin it for you. The salt you get post game lets you know you’ve done a good job.
Only thing that bugs me as killer is when it feels like I’m playing against perks rather than good survivors. I see so many mediocre survivors these days, they cant perform well in a chase and are easily mindgamed but its ok their exhaustion perks extend the chase for them. They’re a swf but not very organised oh but it doesnt matter because perks like Unbreakable allow them to be self-sufficient. They cant stealth or correctly time an unhook oh but its ok they can just hookbomb with borrowed time.
Its starting to feel like im going against perks rather than good survivors. Its always the most carried players that like to brag too
-
Lol he needs a nerf not a buff. Hes awful to play against. Id rather go against Legion and that’s saying something
-
First time I’ve seen that. I really hope its not darker all around, not unless they nerf Blendette and certain other cosmetics.
-
It’s a Deathslinger, what else were you expecting?
I wouldnt even bother trying to unhook anymore against them. Just rush gens and hope the other survivors are doing the same.
What a dull killer. And they wonder why survivors rage quit so much.
-
Survivor Claudette by far.
Makes sense. Its often the Blendette types. These kinds of players dont want to be seen, unlike the toxic megs and nea players in bright colours. Which explains why the claudettes have the most rage and salt when caught.
As for killers, wraiths, learherfaces or nurses.
Nurse makes sense. Shes known as the strongest so all the tryhard and entitled players go for her, when they realize they cant play her they often become the saltiest killers.
-
They see a genrush game and run to the forums but ignore the games where these same streamers get a 4k before the survivors can barely do anything
-
It was likey a swf, and they likely stopped to do totems....which is the second objective you asked for.

What harm would it do to have DS deactivate when a survivor works on a gen? Clearly, that survivor does not have the killer on them anymore, they're not being tunneled. The only thing this change could possibly do is make it so that survivors can't abuse their immunity by doing gens in the killer's face.
I cant think of many situations where that would be a problem however it wouldn’t fix anything.
I can guarantee you they could patch that in tomorrow and within the hour killers would still come in and say it’s not enough, especially for endgame where there is no gens left. What next? It has to deactivate when touching an exit gate? Or it has to deactivate if the survivor is in the exit gate area?

Again, nobody is asking to remove it as an anti tunnel perk. It prevents a killer from completing their objective, and so it should prevent a survivor from doing theirs, if they want the full 60 seconds.
You are not being tunnelled if you are working on a gen
You are not being tunnelled if you are in a corner healing yourself.
Top one under most circumstances is true. Bottom one is not true. You could be unhooked, run to what appears to be a safe area to heal but the killer is looking all around to tunnel you down. Hell if you jump in a locker and heal with inner strength you could still have some Ghostface playing chump searching high and low for the tunnel.
-
Did they actually play well?
i find its often the medicore players that do this. If I play survivor I often see the one who did the least in the game be the one that stands at the exit gates tbagging.
Same for killers, its the ones that tunnel out baby survivors and NOED their way to victory that spam “ez”.

You do realize NOED can only realistically secure 1 kill, its on the survivors to not troll, they can easily split up open one of two gates and escape.
1 kill for 1 perk. Sounds powerful.
Meanwhile lets complain about a 5 second stun which is easy to play around.

It does need a nerf, it needs limitations so survivors can't do what they want if they want to be protected.
NOED needs a nerfs too then. All the crappy campers and tunnelers take this and it encourages their awful playstyle because they know they’re getting a huge crutch at the end.
It enables them to chase 1 survivor for 5 gens because they know they might be able to get a few more in the endgame.
-
In my honest opinion some of you need to look at the way you play..
I hated old DS. Absolutely hated it. Hands down the worst and dumbest perk I’ve ever seen in a videogame.
Meanwhile I play around new DS just fine. I rarely ever get hit by new DS. If I feel a survivor may have it and they run into me then I leave them on the ground. Sure they can use unbreakable but then thats another meta perk they need to drop for that combo.
The game is constantly putting me with noobs as survivor. You know what really sucks? Seeing the killer hard tunnel one survivor out of the game in record time. 4 gens to go and 1 survivor dead yeah what fun. As soon as the survivor is down they’re hit and hooked. Once the killer knows you dont have DS they’ll do it again.
You see most killers try to tunnel anyway. They’re willing to eat the DS to hard tunnel one survivor. Its this that makes me think all these complaints about DS are people bringing it on themselves. Know what else is funny? These killers in postgame chat seem oblivious to the fact that they tunneled but to me watching the action is was extremely obvious.
DS isn’t perfect no and yes there are times it can feel unfair nobody is denying that but for me if you’re getting hit by it game after game after game then you need to reflect on how you’re playing because it doesn’t happen to me.
If I had to have any survivor perks changed it would be adrenaline which encourages killers to bring NOED for the adrenaline swf groups, or exhaustion perks as I have no doubt in my mind that these are contributing towards the boosted players in red ranks. I see so many exhaustion perks carry mediocre players, helping them last far longer in chases than they would be able to last without them.
-
SWF have a huge advantage. Everyone knows this. They genrush all game and then go down to a camping killer due to being overly altruistic so I guess somehow that balances it out. 🙄

I dont think they want to get too silly with cosmetics. Swimsuits make sense for a summer camp. Not so much for a game like this. That's one reason they never gave anyone Halloween costumes.

Have you read the
"Nerf DS Threads?"
If you haven't, go take a look, your opinion will change.
A lot of survivors dont usually comment that much though. Tbh I think it’s the negative attitude from the killer clique that makes the atmosphere oppressive.
-
DS should not deactivate when someone else is hooked.
I see killers proxy camping all the time. Say someone runs in and yanks you off the hook, killer hits them down as they’re unhooking you, then turns around and hits you before you can get away. Well the killer has the option to disable your DS right then and there by hooking in the right order. How is that fair?

Then why was 70% of the votes for it to be nerfed? Why is it constantly being talked about in the context of being too powerful?
Same applies to NOED, it’s always talked about and nerfs are always requested.
-
I challenge any killer main to play a few games against Deathslinger and you will see why DS exists.
-
Its up to you. Just depends if you want to use the add on slot for this or the perk slot for sloppy.
-
Verify files. I have this sometimes after reinstalling the game coming off the ptb. For some reason when you download the live version it doesnt do all files correctly
-
Op after they got genrushed by a SWF
-
Of course they can be. I went against a bad Nurse the other day. They rage quit when all the gens were done. They didnt manage to hook anyone then complained about genrush.....like what else are survivors meant to do?
The worst part? All the survivors were being nice in the endgame chat and offering advice and tips and this nurse was being incredibly toxic. It was surprising.
-
2 gens in 2 minutes isnt bad at all.
-
OP
-
DS is fine. It’s your only defence against tunneling, especially solo where you can’t rely on people to have BT.
Adrenaline needs to go along with NOED. Its more of a swf perk. They rush gens injured knowing that everyone is getting an instaheal at endgame.
-
Legion with Sloppy and Thanat is awful. Absolutely awful.
Then removing sloppy off his frenzy was the best thing they ever did.

You say this like survivors dont wait at the gate until the very end of the egc?
What planet do you live on?
So that makes it ok and justifiable to leave people on the ground?
Survivors DID wait at the exit gates tbagging. Guess what happened next? EGC was added. 2 mins is all they get.
When you’re slugged its 4 mins, when you’re slugged in EGC the timer slows down. All we’re saying is there should be a way to shorten that timer.

Giving survivors an option to instantly bleed out (after a set period of time of about 50% blood similar to giving up on hook in 2nd stage) would be a plain QoL change. Not sure why anyone would speak against it.
Because everytime its brought up, some people object due to their need to slug for the 4k.
I proposed an idea that a slugged survivor should be able to bleed out at 2 x speed. However doing this would show their aura to the killer. That way they only have to wait 2 minutes before they can leave the game, the killer still gets 2 mins to find the last survivor, if not they know where the slugged survivor is so they can hook them before they bleed out.
-
What do you expect? It’s the most powerful combo in the game. You can instantly kill Ny healthy survivor just by walking up to them and tapping a button. Of course it’s going to be hard to pull off.
-
All survivors need to start running Borrowed Time. It will be mandatory.
-
Everyone will just have the dummys stand watch around hooks to camp them. This kind of idea of clones has been floated around before but this is always the problem with it
-
I wish people would stop complaining about Spirit. She’s not the biggest problem in the game.
-
The mechanics of the game allow people to be toxic, and then they wonder why their community is full of salty survivors that rage quit. Tru3 was right when he says these devs often fix the effect but not the cause. That was said in context to gen speeds but its true for disconnects too. They slap on a penalty but dont address reasons why people quit.
Survivors should have a bleed out option. Nobody wants to wait an extra few minutes so some toxic troll can have his fun.
-
Why is it these killers always come up in the no counterplay discussion? Yet nobody talks about Legion?
It doesn’t matter if he can’t down you with his power, it’s the one that truly has no counterplay and he really is by far the most boring killer in the game.
Spirit, pyramid head, even deathslinger who I hate.....all are nothing in comparison to Legion, the killer that the community almost universally agrees ruins the game and needs a rework

Oh I was going to say loading into a game already asleep with swing chains.
That’s a good one. That’s a real good one.
For me its loading into the game and within 30 seconds seeing the deep wounds timer on a survivor.
-
The bugs will pile up to such a point that the game refuses to boot I imagine.
-
Hard to say without knowing full details of backwards compatibility.
They said they want to keep this game going for the next few years at least so I’d expect it on there but be mindful it may not have all dlc. I think Switch still doesn’t have Freddy due to licensing so I imagine PS5 won’t either. Whether thats good or bad depends on whether you’re playing killer or survivor 😂
-
Myers is overrated. I don’t think he’s high tier.
Also Clown is a fun killer, both to play as and against.
-
Nice. These kind of experiments are the best for helping you learn what works/doesn’t work in the game.
I’m tempted to do the same and test out some things. I keep getting sweatlord swf though lol so I keep leaning on the meta perks.

Yup, DS IS awful, it does almost nothing for survivors who would need every extra edge they could use and pushes survivors who are great at the game to unbeatable levels unless you play scummy too.
NOED amounts to 1 kill unless the survivors are overly altruistic while DS amounts to up to 120 seconds of not getting hooked as a survivor which is ridiculously much or into a hookstage. Mind you that killer perks SHOULD be either as powerful as survivor perks OR more powerful yet not many perks in the killer roster come close to dead hard, DS or BT. NOED is still better because as a solo I'm mostly unaffected by it and it only pisses me off because my SWF friends won't just leave and give the killer that 1k and instead turn it into a 3k with moí even tho I'm such a swell guy not being played with after because I "just left" instead of going for a trade when we couldnt find noed anyways.
There's no point in discussing with me tho, I'm way to smart for you but that's okay, I often donate to people who are not as gifted as myself.
Even if you take it as that, that NOED = 1 kill. Thats 1 perk for 1 kill. Imagine if killers had 4 perks that powerful, 4 perks for the 4k every game based on perks alone. Sounds balanced.
As for DS, 120 seconds? Are you just tunneling survivors off hook twice in a row? Take BBQ and go find other survivors and DS isnt an issue. Just a thought.

If you don't find all 5 totems the perk goes off, more often than not you can find them in most maps, if it truely bothers you then you have perks to find totems for you that also counter certain killers ontop of it as a nice bonus...oh wait that would mean you can't equip the other easymode perks that invaluate 90% of the other survivor perks because they amount to extra-healthstates.
if you can't find it in endgame accept the death of your teammate and move on. If you want to play overly altruistic then you're playing for fun while the killer is sweating and only have yourself to blame for dieing to NOED. There's a reason why I mostly dont have people playing with me, because I will leave them for dead if there's a NOED that I cannot find but then again I have fun playing effective instead of for some reason finding it funny dieing in a hopeless situation for that 1 in a thousand play.
Lol and there we go, the side rant into survivor perks. Your bias is showing.
NOED is fine but DS is awful.....the best way to spot a biased killer main from a mile away.
-
New user points out forum is killer biased, as others have done before.
Killer mains immediately go into the persecution complex, tell us how they’re all unbiased but their side is extremely underpowered and the game is one sided
Again, zero self-awareness.

5% speedbuff is godmode now. Oh wait, it's the onehit down but that doesn't matter since mostly survivors in a well balanced game will be injured by endgame most of the time anywa...oh wait there's adrenaline which either heals you up or picks you up in addition to giving you a sprintburst.
Not picking up a survivor for 60 seconds, great counter, now this survivor doesn't work on a gen while I can pressure another survivor off a gen, luckily there isn't 2 other survivors in the game...oh wait....
Well I could just tunnel 1 out of the game...oh wait that's not fun for survivors and now I'm a garbage baby killer.
You're well known for being biased as ######### and that's coming from somebody who is a 50/50 player with 100% achievements in this game.
And running around a huge map looking for 5 little totems is perfectly fine? Especially if I do 4 and waste 5 minutes looking for the last just to find out the reason I didn’t see it is because someone else did it?
Are “just dont get caught” or “just dont get seen” reasonable suggestions?
This forum is well known as being killer biased and anyone who joins here can quickly tell that so I couldn’t care less what your opinion is of me.
-
No thanks I’d rather go against insidious basement Bubba. There’s just as much camping but at least one can be a funny meme.
-
I wouldn’t pay attention to any of the killer mains on here talking about counter play. They think that running around looking for 5 little totems for a few minutes with no information on what other players have done is perfectly fine counterplay to stop the killer from activating god mode but ask them to not pick up a survivor within 60 seconds of them being unhooked and they flip their lid.
Basically to them everything on the killer side has counter play no matter how small but everything on the survivor side is expected to have huge and easy counter play.
These are the same people whose answer to anything is often “don’t get caught” or “dont get seen”.

People who say they shouldn't exist tend to abuse them themselves
Here we go with the accusations.
I’m sorry but if someone disconnects or 1st hook suicides 60 seconds into the game ruining it for me then I dont see why I should be punished and forced to stay in the game when I did nothing wrong. I’d rather quit and move on to a new game. With the penalties its the people who stay in the game who get punished the most. They get a 5 minute time out, I’ve had games where 2 disconnect and I seek out the killer to end it and as expected try hard sad case slugs for the 4k and pick up and slug and it went on over 5 minutes. That was me being punished through no fault of my own because the mechanics in this game are easily abusable which leads to so many disconnects in the first place.
Likewise is a swf farms with the killer against my will, if Im just a playtoy for a toxic swf teaming with the killer why should I sit there and put up with it? People who defend this often do it themselves am I right?
I need to sit there and be trolled for 5 minutes while the toxic troll players have their fun. Then its on me to record a video, waste time uploading it to youtube, waste time submitting a report just to get a generic “Hi we will look into it” response from the support site and never an update.
Behaviours support is shocking. The number of trolls out to ruin everyone else games is shocking. Behaviour as always does nothing about it because they couldnt care less.
-
Ghostface - I’d make him more like the original build.
Increase the distance from where you can hear him. Right now you don’t hear him unless it’s too late, coupled with gens that have blind spots and it’s just a free hit for him. Wraith needs an iridescent add on to have that kind of stealth.
Maybe the original noise and 16m was a little too loud, so either 16m with a quieter sound or 12m with the original noise.
I’d also make his reveal mechanic actually work consistently. Not as easy as it was the first time but not as wonky as it is now.
Also if the survivor reveals him then that survivor should be able to reset their own stalk progress.

Only bad PH do stuff like this. Good ones just wait until youre in animation and then throw it. Otherwise, they just walk up to you and m1. No counerplay involved.
Im pretty sure this isnt possible. I was doing this when I first started playing him and missed. You need to have that sword in the ground already to get the hit if a survivor vaults otherwise due to the delay the attack will miss unless they run forwards.
-
The Game isn’t as bad as I intially used to think when i first started playing. New Lerys isnt too bad but it can be a pain to find gens/totems sometimes.
Those are old designs though. Their new indoor map designs (hawkins, midwich) have been terrible. I’d rather they just made some new maps that played like macmillan or autohaven, classic dbd
