I wouldn't go as far as to call them the 'hardest killer' personally. I think people underrate the idea of having the first hit of a chase basically be 100% guaranteed and unavoidable.
But yeah having to get that last hit as a pure M1 90% of the time did make them quite a challenge against really good survivors.
Yeah the "hardest killer" title was given to me when I won a match and someone told me not to play legion as the killer is hard to play so maybe they were exaggerating
-
Without mural sketch:
If you hit all 4:
you'd have 5.56/mps
With mural sketch:
if you hit all 4:
you'd have 5.68/mps
which is all I feel like calculating so basically a lot -

What's there to say?
For a slight nerf to deep-wound, Legion gets a pure numbers buff in basically every category. Unless the addons got butchered which is highly unlikely this is just a pure buff with no real downside other than the deep wound change but that affects the whole game since deep wound is a global mechanic not exclusive to Legion
The best part is the lower fatigue time and the extra chained hit speed though.
Yes and I'm so excited this is killer deserved love after so long of be deemed "hardest killer"
-
Still wish for base movement speed for legion to get a slight buff as well but this is amazing

Those Legion changes look pretty good! Making them less reliant on Slowdown and more effective in their power is what I've wanted to see for a while.

and if you really think about it lowering mending times is really a buff for legion because it will encourage people to actually mend during frenzy without knowing -

Think of his size as like another special ability he has which is most likely intended

That doesn't make sense, killer size shouldn't determine the Terror Radius. As he already makes a lot of sound effects in game which already blows his cover for survivors listening and paying attention, never mind with his illusionary footprints.
If this was the case, The Hag who was the shortest killer before Chucky would also have a bigger terror radius, but doesn't, it's also 24m. Chucky’s ability completely removes his TR, so a 32m base TR might be a way to make sure survivors have more warning when he’s not in stealth. But still, with Pig, Ghost Face, and Skull Merchant getting 24m, it does seem inconsistent.
Not necessarily the point of stealth is to catch them off guard and, to be honest I barely hear him when he's in stealth or not, just like how ghostface has stealth mode but you can clearly see him if you look around. the thing about chucky is he does not have this issue he is overstimulating because, of the false foot steps, and constant sound effects you would barely notice him if he were to walk even in plain sight with grass covering him. so I feel like the terror radius outside of stealth mode would be reasonable due to the fact you would barely see him otherwise.
Completely disregarding the fake footsteps doesn't make any sense because, it does play a big part in applying pressure, and hiding where you could be or could not be.
The hag argument is…not to be rude but not the smartest comparison as the size difference between hag, and chucky are drastic. hag isn't even nearly as close to the size of chucky; chucky is well a doll and very not spotable as for, what it would be for hag I don't think it's about the fact he's the shortest killer it's about the fact that he is so short you wouldn't be able to spot him unless you really look for him which hence; why he is a stealth killer a killer who should catch you off guard when you aren't paying attention not when you are practically looking for him.
In conclusion: my punctuation sucks and he's a short killer -

I've noticed a good number of conversations have come up about this across the net. I wouldn't personally use a flag, but a lot of people, especially those who are patriotic, would love this addition implemented into DBD. I do think sporting a charm or Banner/PFP with a person's main of that country would look pretty clean; there's many other games that have country representation and the controversial flags could be simply removed as not to spark an unnecessary heated discussion. As a buddy said before "LGBT or country, a flag represents its people".
YESSS, I'd love a way to represent my people more :D

Though my wife (who loves to watch me play) hates Trickster with a passion. She doesn't even play and when she sees him she's like "oh great, it's that &*^$%^%^&*" or if I use him for a daily she's like "eew, why are you playing him?" She doesn't care one way or another about any other characters in DBD, but she loathes Trickster.
Not significant, just seems like he is particularly triggering for some people.

It wouldn't encourage people to swap Survivors, it would encourage them to only play the Survivor with the best passive.
Even if the effects are minor, there are a lot of people interested in optimising their builds to be as effective as possible.
While I can agree some people would think that way but what if the passives are more situational than relatively constant helpfulness do you think that could make it fit more or would it have the same issue?

Title. I'm a Killer main, giving myself a mini-resolution to play more Survivor in the future. I was reading up some videos that highly recommended having Exhaustion in your builds (saying it's a mistake to NOT have one), but it was a year or so old.
Like, even if I was focusing on Gen repair or being the Medic for the game, is it still important to have some Exhaustion perk regardless?
Rarely use them as of now because I find it more fun to see how I can escape the grasp of the killer without I don't think it's very important if you are skilled enough I think it's actually Better if a new player doesn't start off using exhaustion perks because then they will start to depend on it and will be scared to take them off

You match my energy so well! :D
But besides that I think you should run like more fun builds and not go for things like meta wise like Chemical trap a frequently used perk I like to use for fun and maybe like joke builds with no mither and unbreakable and plot twist etc making it fun and not making the goal to just win
if you play killer maybe try a build a where it just repeats a status effect over and over again without actually trying to prevent gens just making it funny I don't know what else I can say to use because I don't know much about perks as of now but I hope you find something that can make the game more tolerable for you

sometimes I like to do an old man bill meme, I’ll just walk around really slow and do everything walking, it usually results in death, but sometimes killers play along and we do a slow motion chase, with slow motion vaults, pallet drops, and what not. He’s old man, he’s got old body and doing his best, all that smoking has really affected his cardio. I imagine sometimes killers are like do they not know how to run? Bill can’t run, he’s old!!!
OMG I DID THIS BEFORE

I wish people would stop equating "this killer sucks to play against and is boring" to "this killer is OP"
That being said, there are some Trickster mains that are genuinely really skilled and I think, despite them maining one of the most annoying killers in the game, they still deserve recognition for that skill.

Its an underused perk compared to Blast Mine and is, I would argue more obnoxious than Blast Mine. You put it on a god pallet the killer HAS to kick and congrats, you just got to your next loop for free, extending the chase by at least another 20-30 seconds if you dont screw it up.
Exactly and rewards them for actually doing the objective I love perks like that even though it's sort of a bad thing for being killer

It's such a beautiful perk, I'm glad I changed the buttons and I usually only put it on very strong loops where the killer and I have to either mind game or they eat the Chem Trap. I'm surprised I don't see it more often. @HeroLives , see, the people love Chem Trap. 😋

What are some of your favorite Survivor descriptions? The introduction text on the Survivor select screen makes them sound so legendary, it’s incredible.
Like for Cheryl it’s, “Cheryl Mason is a young veteran of terror, emboldening both herself and her team.” Wow, that inspires deep respect right off the bat.
Or Vittorio, “Vittorio has endlessly wandered through the fog attempting to learn its secrets, for ages.” I just imagine this mystical traveler emerging from mist. It’s like stuff of legends.
Haddie, “Haddie is a brave and determined podcaster with the ability to see and feel places of great suffering she calls Overlaps” To be this in-tune and clued in to actually see supernatural stuff while retaining your bravery blows my mind.
These descriptions make the Survivors sound like superheroes. It’s phenomenal.
It’s easy to fall in love with Killer design, story, essence etc. but these Survivor descriptions almost exalt (some of them) as agents of light. I just really love how Behavior gives Survivors their own fulfilling showcase.
What descriptions resonate with you? Which are your favorite? And why?

Probably something like Deja Vu, just to get that gen progress requirement up faster. That's what all these perks are based on. Or have Chemical Trap for a 4th trap.
But I don't recommend a build like this. There's way better perks, although Blast Mine and Wire Tap can be instrumental in you winning, with the slowdown and info they provide respectively.
all for fun winning isn't really my goal I'd prefer I just get hooked at the end anyways as its just a way to say sorry if it felt like bullying

Based on their stats the escape rate was 45%, which made it much more enjoyable than 1v4 as solo survivor. Then the devs decided to gut survivor classes and add bots which is another massive nerf. Why do the devs want the game to be so easy for killers when survivors are the majority of the playerbase?
what you haven't came to realization was the fact that killers have the same nerf which they have to oblige to using classes as well
your argument doesn't make sense as its also a nerf for both sides and is not one sided as for bots that's an issue for matchmaking not balancing therefore not a nerf to survivors just a all around issue in general -

A general tip first, if you're spending cash, spend it on licensed survivors. Otherwise, buy characters with shards if you have them available. The Shrine of Secrets is not worth it, much smarter to just buy characters and prestige them. Spending shards on characters is one of the most efficient ways to spend them, and will save you tons of cash in the long run. At least if you want the most bang for your buck.
As for what characters to buy, I'll assume you don't have any unlocked outside of the free ones. Try going for these ones first as you also prestige your other survivors to P1 at least. I'd start with Kate and Feng. They've very cheap and have good perks:
- Kate for Windows of Opportunity
- Feng for Lithe and Alert
- Laurie (Licensed) for Decisive Strike
- Zarina for Off the Record
With just these characters you'll have a great selection of perks. And don't forget to level the free characters to at least P1, there's tons of extremely good free character perks like Adrenaline, Unbreakable, Sprint Burst, Iron Will, and general perks too.
If you wanna know what's popular/good, check this list: https://nightlight.gg/perks
You'll notice lots of general and free character perks there too, which can give you some inspiration on who to prestige first. All I need is zarina now thanks man

It's just another SWF bully perk. Unorganized solos who don't even do gens will never use this perk. It's just a "win more" perk. Something as simple as breaking a pallet, which every killer bar Nurse has to do, you get punished for doing with this perk. Ironically, it's the perfect tool against catch-up killers like Hillbilly, Blight, and Wesker (breaking the pallet and still having a chance to get you before you reach the next loop). But people never mention the perk, and just complain about the killer's speed.
i've tried using it in some of my own rare occasion survivor matches I've been able to use it very efficiently as a solo survivor but I think that's because I actually do gens lmfao but yeah good take man

Which one do you think is better/gets more value in matches? Which one do you prefer? I personally prefer ds because it gives the killer more of a chance thinking they can hook you and wastes more time than just a weapon wipe and on hit burst like how otr is. But I personally think OTR is better since it lasts 20 seconds longer and can be used 2 times AND 66% of the perk stays active for the whole 80 seconds even if performing a conspicuous action. Recently I’ve seen a lot more ds over otr players I’ve gone against, what do you think? Is DS the better choice over OTR these days?
Edit: I think what makes ds more of a widespread popular pick is its synergy with dead hard. Almost every time I see a survivor use ds they 90% of the time have DH to back it up.
What do these even mean

I watched her first kill and there was no terror radius, no red stain - it shocked everyone because it was sudden. The second killer wasn't nearby. There was never a period where it transferred to the other killer, the huntress even when they were near each other and the huntress wounded or downed someone also true for the legion doing the same thing close to the other killer. Watched as spectator and killer never had a terror radius either. Bug?!? Cheat?!?

I think a lot of players, on both sides, have complaints about balancing changes, because they dont realize they have been MMR boosted and facing opponents they shouldnt have been able to face in the first place. I'm taking killer specifically for this post due to current changes affecting them the most, but its also true for survivors when medkits were being changed, or when MFT got changed (people saying they now needed to genrush to compete with the killers they were facing, like, duh, you boosted yourself and now you have to deal with the consequences of that).
Think about it, for killers claiming that its impossible to win without slugging, in the past 4 years the following things happened:
Gens have been increased by 10 seconds.
Mapsizes have been reduced.
Basekit generator kicking applies 5% damage and the gen keeps regressing untill the survivor fixed the 5%.
Chase related interactions are 10% shorter for killers, and survivors received a 10% nerf in boost duration.
DS has been nerfed to a point its rarely being used.
Killers in general have been upped in strength.
Less pallets on average.
Less windows on average.
More hooks per square meter of map so less time carrying survivors to hooks.
And sure, BT has been made basekit, sure, hook timers have been increased by 10 seconds. But how often does basekit BT actually trigger unless you tunnel? How often do survivors stay on hook for longer than 60 seconds?
All in all, the game should have been easier for killers in general to the point where they didnt need to rely on slugging, tunnelling and 4 gen regression perks. But yet people did. And now they face survivors who are basically out of their league to the point that they have to keep relying on the things that boosted them to those brackets in the first place.
And while I think there are some valid points, I am also 100% convinced that the vast majority of players have accidentally MMR boosted themselves and now simply have to deal with the consequences untill their MMR lowers to more realistic numbers.
The game has objectively been getting easier for killers, yet you claim its harder than ever. Then maybe the conclusion should be that you're facing opponents that are out of your league.Thought this was gonna be a bit more unbiased but as I read it got more lenient towards survivors have it worse but while In 90% agree with all facts it's also bad for killers as well it's not just survivor or killer I think it's better if they help both sides of the player base as both are in need of work I love the use of actual information on the game I glad you covered the MMR issue as well but believe with both killers and survivors with the right perks or addons the game could be really hell for both sides and even in base game there are killers that are highly map dependent and the decrease of map size isn't the solution to the fact that the killer is unable to to manage to keep up with the 1v4 because of the map and not because of skill and I also believe there are a lot of issues involving slugging as well as if you are killer you can (if you even manage to) knock everyone while not hooking because the survivor is unable to do anything because they are slugged but all in all good take but I prefer if it was more less biased and involved both side's issues

Personally, I would like 2 extra seconds of Frenzy. In other words, for Mischief List to be made base-kit. I hate that Survivors can simply run out my power and I feel like it's a mandatory add-on if you want to have any hope of chaining hits consistently against split up Survivors. You don't really have a power unless the Survivors group up together. Mischief List wouldn't need changing imho, but I guess they could nerf it to 1 second.
I would also like to see Joey's mix-tape give Legion the ability to see pools of blood while in Frenzy. In addition, blood pools should appear in bright red for extra tracking abilities. Currently, there's no good reason to run this add-on other than for the vibes (it sounds great paired with Julie's, Susie's and Fuming mix-tapes, btw).
I know some want to see a shorter cooldown for exiting power and a faster movement speed in fatuigue, but I don't really think Legion should be made into a better 1V1 Killer (at least not as base-kit). I think a majority of Survivors would hate that, just like they hated OG Chucky who was essentially just a 1V1 Legion.
Least controversial would be for Frank's mix-tape to be made base-kit. Its effect is so incredibly weak, especially for a purple add-on. I think Legion mains near universally agree with this change. Frank's Mix-Tape could then be reworked into a vaulting speed add-on, which I think most Legion players would also like to see. Especially since BHVR don't seem to want to allow perks to increase the Legion's Frenzy vaults.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3887645#Comment_3887645
Fire Up does in fact currently increase window Frenzy vaults and has done for a while, although I'm unsure if this an intended effect or not. Undocumented change or just a bug?

@DragonMasterDarren said:
I will admit I was a bit iffy on Legion in 2v8 at first, I thought it was going to end in one of two ways
- Legion will be comically overpowered and keep the entire team injured and mending the entire match
- In order to avoid conclusion 1 BHVR would basically Skull Merchant Legion to make sure that a killer designed to run fast and chain hits wouldn't be able to run fast and chain hits very often
To my surprise, BHVR actually managed to keep Legion fairly balanced, and, more importantly, fun as hell. Legion in 2v8 works like this
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BC1PV9786QJF/image.png
What this doesn't mention is that Legion's bonus speed from chaining Frenzy hits isn't capped, at all, meaning that Legion's max running speed goes up from 6.0 m/s with 4 hits, to a staggering 6.8 m/s at 8 hits. I don't really know how to explain how it feels chaining hit after hit after hit with Frenzy, going faster and faster and faster until you reach a point where Survivors can't outrun you even with Escapist's Sprint Burst…it just feels really, really fun. Plus this fun factor has practical benefits, Legion, in the perfect scenario, can keep a entire 8 team of survivors injured the entire match, and while this doesn't help them that much in the 1v4, in 2v8 it turns them into my favourite kind of Support character, the kind of Support character that can actually DO something beyond helping your teammates hog all the damage numbers (Can you tell I've been playing a lot of Marvel Rivals and been playing almost nothing but Invisible Woman and Mantis whenever I play Support?) Legion both helps your teammate secure downs by helping them deal with the first health state, while also providing minor slowdown, underrated tracking if you have comms, and can also get downs both on that glorious 9th Frenzy hit and with just basic m1s. Legion is the reasons why I love Deathslinger in 2v8 cranked up to 11, being able to both work well with your teammate as well as kick no small amount of ass on your own just feels really nice.
Now, with my reasons for why I find Legion fun in mind, and after seeing the general consensus on Legion somehow "Ruining" 2v8, here's where I have to explain why I find Legion balanced, I won't deny Legion in 2v8 is annoying, but that's because Legion in the base game is annoying, nothing fundamentally changed about why they're annoying, the reasons why they're annoying of going faster then you and keeping you in Deep Wound half the match has just been amplified by doubling the survivors in play. Annoying? Sure, but Overpowered or "A problem"? Not even close, Legion in 2v8 isn't some miracle worker that guarantees the killers win, sure it makes it easier because they are without a doubt a S tier Support character, but they're just that, a Support.
If the Legion's teammate isn't very good, there's no one to capitalise on Legion's pressure, if they want to commit to a down they either have to get 8 hits with Frenzy before they reach you, which, while easy, can be made more challenging by survivors splitting up as well as what map you get (Good luck getting 9 hits on RCPD that's all I'm saying), or turn their power off and commit to you as a standard 115% with whatever Class they picked. Plus there is plenty of counterplay even to a good Legion.
- What works against Legion in 1v4 does still work against Legion in 2v8, camping pallets, splitting up, not immediately recovering the Deep Wound, and bodyblocking while in Deep Wound all work, and while it's less effective because Legion can run so much faster, Escapist's Sprint Burst and holding W does still work against Legion to a degree.
- I really don't know why I have to say this, but some of you need to hear it, Pay Attention, that's it, that's one of Legion's biggest counters, keeping your head on a swivel and knowing when they're in Frenzy will help you deal with them a lot easier, once the Deep Wounds start piling up you should make it a priority to know where Legion is and get as far away from them as humanly possible, Legion runs very fast but it only lasts for 12 seconds, you don't even need to do what I do and keep a count in your head for how long they've been off cooldown so you can know when they might Frenzy again, just track the Deep Wounds and Run away.
- Want to counter Legion's existence entirely? Get off of Escapist and Guide for once in your life and play Medic, hell get some of your friends to play Medic, even having one good Medic on the Survivor team can cut a Legion's effectiveness by half, the best way to counter quick injuries is quick heals, and nothing does that better then Medics, seriously, Medic is a underrated class in 2v8, if more people played that instead of clinging to Escapist and Guide because "Muh Sprint Burst" and Youtubers showing off really quick gen completion that one time maybe Legion wouldn't be kicking your teeth in as frequently.
I think the main issue people have with Legion is the same they had with pre-butchering Skull Merchant, that being that your teammates being idiots and feeding the Legion, meaning you have less options to counter them when they start going for you, I have had so many clips of people just standing still and letting me get free Frenzy hits, and then that translating to me getting a free down with Frenzy on some poor shmuck on the other side of the map, all because their teammate gave me a hit that let me run at Sprint Burst speed and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. This does not make Legion overpowered, this makes their power rely almost entirely on Survivors being idiots, which, in 2v8, is extremely common. But that doesn't make Legion overpowered, that makes your teammates idiots, or you look like a idiot because you're the one not doing anything and feeding the Legion, or jumping into a locker because you have no idea how Killer Instinct works, or just standing still and hoping the Legion kills you because for some reason you feel the need to go next in a limited time game mode. That's not a Killer problem, that's a Survivor problem, don't blame the Killer for your teammates not knowing how Legion works, blame BHVR for not having tutorials for how the killers work.
Now with that rant out of the way, here's some other random stuff, beginning with a tierlist for the other killers based on how well they synergise with Legion

Spirit is a instant S tier, A good Legion paired with a good Spirit is a nightmare to go against, Spirit's primary counter is staying healthy and quiet, Legion makes survivors injured quickly and often, and since there's barely any Stealth perks in 2v8 a good Spirit can easily capitalise on Legions injuries and have a field day.
All of the killers in A and B tier are fairly self explanatory, A tier has the mobility killers and B has the non-mobility killers, Deathslinger is in C tier for a simple reason, he's the only killer that inflicts Deep Wound besides Legion, and since Deep Wounds can't stack there is a non-zero chance your teammate can actively screw you over, it's happened to me a grand total of once and communicating with your teammate in the pre-game lobby helps a ton in ensuring it doesn't happen, but it can still happen, and finally there's Hillbilly in D tier for another simple reason, he's a high mobility killer with a insta-down, he doesn't care about people being injured versus healthy because he can down them regardless and take away targets for you to stab, Hillbilly won't completely screw you over but he definitely does not work well with Legion compared to everyone else.
Next, what Classes you should play, unironically I have found the best results with Shadow, the Undetectable on one of the most human killers while your teammate is distracting people leads to very funny and cheesy hits, plus there's a unsung bonus, if you pick Shadow and are constantly giving away the Undetectable to your teammate, that means your teammate can't also pick Shadow and give YOU the Undetectable, which is a massive benefit since Undetectable completely cuts off your Killer Instinct, which has cost me Frenzy chains more frequently then I care to admit.
And with that, I'm done, I like Legion in 2v8, I like them a lot, I like running fast and stabbing, I just wish I didn't have to listen to the default chase music and had Legion's instead, that would make the experience way more fun.
Anyway, I've got more running and stabbing to do, g'night
Im glad legion isnt being hated for once

I've played between 2018-2020, stopped than returned early 2024, with around 1.1K hours, give or take. I'm a killer main, however, every once in a while, I dabble in some survivor.
Killer feels a lot more fun to me
