So, as you guys know, there is a in-game chat feature for PC. It’s one of the most useful features in DBD. You can tell your plan to your team before the match begins, give tips to your teammates after the match, chat with your friends, etc. I think that this feature should be added to console as well. It’s not fair of PC can have it but console not.

I higly contest that the pre / after game chat is "the most useful feature"!

Let me tell you as a PC player, like in 80% of pre game lobbies no one writes anything, 15% something like "gl hf", 4,9% unrelated chatting ("gl hf", gossip, ppl being silly), and the remaining 0.1% is actual gameplay relevant "planing", mostly something lilke "bps anyone?", "lets all use flashes lol". I have yet you to get into a lobby where an actual plan is laid out in the chat.

In post game, you get mostly toxic/salty comments and ppl bitching with each other, some trashtalking or flexing, often nothing at all (except maybe a "gg" from some players") and quite rarely an actual civil after game dicsussion where you talk about the game, what went good and what went wrong.

So let me assure you, there's no reason to be envious here, you do not miss anything, really. Maybe console players are a little more chill so the chats might be more civil, I wouldn't know. But judging from my PC experience, the chat honestly is not worth it. The rare nice encounters cannot outshine the toxic / salty encounters imo.

Since you're entering purple ranks (maybe red ranks soon), you should definietly consider switching one of these perks to Decisive Strike.

You'll understand why as you play more. Trust me.

I find DS is really underwhelming when just taking it as anti-tunnel insurance, which I think you are suggesting here. A true tunneler does not care for the ds stun, just eats it and continues the tunneling. Thats why I rarely run it when playing survivor (in red ranks of course). Either I get no opportunity to use it (which is a good thing, actually), or it does not change much. So in order to get value out of it, I have to play it aggressively, the very thing I hate when playing killer.

Depends on the ranks usually. Most red ranks refuse to cleanse.

All my recent 3-4 plague games where red-purple players. Only in the last game they refused to cleanse, which killed them in the end bc they played to bold and bc of Infectious. The other games were "cleansing parties" where some even escaped. Be it bc I suck at puking or the constant cleansing stressed me more so i could not play as effectively. In one particular game on Saloon where i played with the blight addon, I legit forgot each and every blight rush I earned bc the game felt so stressful. I could have made good use with the rushes for defending gens (has TInkerer, so knew where to go) or rushing past survivors on their run to the gate.

  • @CashelP14 said:

Personally I thought it would've been decent on Plague. She has trouble confirming downs and I think with Coup De Grace she could get downs easier.

Also it may force other survivors to cleanse quicker.

In my recent plague games I had no problem with survs not cleansing, but quite the opposite. They cleansed right of the bat, not even being fully infected. Sure that gives me many damage-puke to use, but also forces me to use the fountains in order to not get them all reset. And prevents me using the normal puke for infecting ppl and objectives (better tracking). It felt legitimately more stressful then playing against non-cleansing folks, bc thats what I'm used to.

I get 7 Euros faster than I get 18k Shards while playing. I mostly spend Shards on Cosmetics (let alone that I only have like 8k Shards currently).

If you regularly use shards for cosmetics, 7€ is faster for sure. I myself only use shards for new characters, so I have quite some shards piled up ^^.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I will buy it with money (7 Euros are faster to get than 18k Auric Cells). But I am not looking forward playing the Twins, at least on the PTB they did not seem enjoyable to play for me. But I will give them a go once all the changes they wrote about yesterday are implemented.

Why don't you use shards for getting the twins and the surviver?

    OR

    Wiggle 50% Faster

    OR

    Crawl 40% Faster

I realize some of these may be too strong like running at 4.4 m/s but I still wanna throw it out there.

Being one shot all the time and not being able to heal as well as always grunting even though it's more silent is pretty crippling. The buffs no mither gives in exchange are just not worth it.

No Mither is hard mode for playing survivor, it is not meant to be powerful or even useful.

  • Only if you play exceptionally stupid. I have played MANY 3-gen scenarios against 4 mans, and I can tell you, its HELLA DIFFICULT to win this agaionst competent survivors! You have to get down to three people to comfortably protect a 3-gen. If you not even tried to break through this, it just proves how unskillful you are.

Oh, we touched them initially, but as soon as he came he wouldn't chase after we left the 3 gen area .

With four men on comms it's fkn EASY to break a 3 gen. All jump to a gen simulataniously, which gen should the killer protect then, tell me? As soon as he is facing one, the other two gens get done a bit. Knowing he will not chase you for long works in your favor, too, bc you likely won't get injured and do not have to heal. No killer can keep a three gen against four coordinated survivors forever, the last gen will be done eventually.

It's not less popular but but its stressful your up against two things

One surrvivors and two the entity yes the entity.

Surrvivors go like this there either good or bad there's no inbetween

That meg is gonna be 40 iq and drop pallets for no reason or 100 iq and know her stuff.

And it don't help when she brings a iri key meaning you have to worry about only 4 gens getting done which is some pressure, and spawned a Haddonfield offering.

On top of that survs can get cocky and if they're cocky and good your gonna have a bad time however for the most part it's not the survs that are the main bulk.

The entity. She's a damm troll don't belive me.ook below

Yes entity send me too macmillian when I cancelled the offering.

At the end of the day she's the one spawning the tiles, meg didnt put 6 pallets in wards main building. Entity did.

The entity expects you to know your stuff while also just taking a dump at you every moment. It knows you we'd to remain calm, a calm killer has a higher chance to win but she will just crank out ormand with some annoying butt neas just to raise your blood pressure so high you might actually die.

You only cancel the increase odds of being send to a specific realm. The base chance does not change at all, so it's perfectly fine to be send to a realm for which an offering was used, even when you use the ward to cancel that.

  • "Once again i feel locking obsession does have some benefits not extremely great but some"

I fail to see any benefit from it. Preventing the obsession from being switched with a single perk on it's own has no benefit / impact for the survivors, it just screws the killer in case he has a switch obsession build. How does this change anything for the survivors or make it more fun? Just having a unique / genuine effect is not enough, there should be a purpose / reason for the effect. If the switch of an obsession would be a highly dangerous situation for the then affected survivor, then such a block might be okayish. But that's just not the case, except for rancor when all gens were done.

"and the multiple obsessions is actually a way to more devalue the perk"

Nothing you provided so far does devalue multi-man OoO in the slightest, it strengthens it, if any. Multiple obsessions is bad for STBFL, DL, Nemesis, Rancor (apart from the exposed effect) and even Remember me (yes you get stacks faster, but obsessions are not slowed down!). Perks benefitting from it would be PWYF, Dead Mans Switch, Furtive Chase.

"On your idea i feel like it wouldn't nerf it enough to actually matter. Its still a lot of free info to get and that would still be a issues imo."

If the killer has the control when he can be seen and when not (by looking in another direction), he can use the perk to his advantage and mind game the survivor. It's really not that much free info anymore.

    Edit:

NOW I understand it, you want to remove the aura all together and give it your proclaimed effect instead! Ok, then the perk wouldn't be as cancerous as before, thats for sure. But my remarks remain, the switch-block alone without additional effects does not really change anything. Multiple obsession sounds wrong for me (it's against the very definition of an obsession), but at least it would shift some perk powers. But if the killer does not bring any obsession perks, it again serves no purpose.

  • So many questions here:

What's the problem with obsession switching? It does not change anything for survivors. It has no impact at all if the killer does not bring a dedicated build for that. And this dedicated builds for obsession switching are far from OP, more like meme builds. Why do you think it's necessary or waranted to change OoO so it hard counters any obsession switch builds?

Whats the point of having multiple obsessions? It does again not change anything for survivors. It has no impact when the killer has no obsession perks. If the killer plays Remember Me, or PWYF, it gets easier, sure. With rancor it's mixed, you could Mori more, but the survs would see you as well with every gen. And STBFL or Dying Light would be hard-countered again.

And then, at the end the killer get's some useless locations, while the survivor get killer aura AND totem auras! For real? Killers get one tiny buff in end game and hard counters to many of his perks. Survivor-side is not impacted negatively at-all, and they get Dark-Sense+Detectives Hunch for free when all gens are done.

Your idea does not tackle the core issue of the perk at all, OoO being abused in SWF to relay anything the OoO sees instantly to the others via comms, together with multiple Objects at a time. It just makes the game harder for killers using obsession perks, without any tradeoffs for the survivors using it. Please enlighten me how THIS should be more fun for survivors and killers, the whole idea is AWFUL!

You know what would spice the perk up?

    • First of all, auras of killer and survivor are only shown when BOTH look in the direction of each other, not just the survivor. This would give the killer a way to hide from being seen when he does not want to (e.g. setting traps with Trapper), lessen the impact of realying info via comms.
    • Only the current obsession can see the killers aura. Every other additional OoO player does not get it, they may keep their budget spine chill though. This way, multiman OoO is not possible to the team, and the killer has a means to counterplay the OoO by triggering an obsession switch (via DS or a perk).
    • The user playing OoO can take FTP with them to reactivate its aura in case they lost it due to an obsession switch

Boom, THIS would be a fun change, because both sides can decide when the aura may be shown and have a way to disable / reenable the perk!

do you even use the forums? every time I go on theres aleast one

Than thats bias on your side. I'm daily on the forums, scanning the newest topics, and threads about bubba specifically were not present for multiple days until recently, maybe one new thread in a week on average. Compared to other usual complaints (swf, meta perks, "unfun" killers like spirit/freddy/DS) thats laughably rare. Sure there are threads about camping, which bubba excells at, but I wouldn't count this as bubba threads.

Kinda your teams fault if they tried to save against a facecamper, should've done the gens.

You obviously did not read properly. My post was about a face camper using noed (and bitter murmur, btw). This puts you in a lose-lose scenario. You cannot safely unhook, esp. against Bubba, so you gotta crank out gens. But you have to do that fast and have no time for doing the totems, too. Which will consequently activate Noed+Bitter murmur, allowing the killer to down/slug tha remaining survivor (two will likely be dead due to the camping, then). This is one of the (rare) occasions where the Noed effect is NOT fine, since "just do bones" does not work.

Noed shouldn't trigger if the gates are powered but if the 5 generators have been repaired

Another perk already use the "5 gens" method but I forgot which one

I can agree with that. The other perk you mean is rancor, that one does not make the obsession exposed when the hatch gets closed by the killer.

  • @HommeBizarre said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1759684#Comment_1759684

Hooks should work like cages x)

They could add the same effect they had in DeathGarden

    AHAH

Sure that might mitigate the issue a bit, but cannot prevent camping. The killer could just wait it out with a little more distance, then. The issue here is finding the right distance, imo. If it's too short, it does not help at all, if it's too long, it may punish regular play.

Another thing I was thinking off, the entity could start to obscure the vision of the killer when the killer does not move or stays close to a hooked survivor. BUt there's the same issue of the right distance.

All in all, it may not be the best solution to try to fix the camping, but to change Noed so it cannot be abused in this scenario instead. Something like Noed can only activate when at least three DIFFERENT survivors where hooked.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1759663#Comment_1759663

Ah yes - because "he can down people easily" is a much more useful statement than mine.

It's quite simply the bitter reality that no good survivor complains about Bubba as he can not ignore mechanics as opposed to stronger killers like Nurse, Spirit, Pyramid Head etc.

He can be looped, he has no map pressure, no stealth, no gen defense, no tracking etc.

He literally has nothing in his kit except for the chainsaw and whiny no skill survivors would even take that from him if they could.

No, you don't get to complain about a loopable killer that can only instadown you when you mess up. Simple as.

But to be fair, his chase potential was buffed tremendiously, as he can swing around shorter loops with ease now. I wouldn't necessarily put all the blame on the survivor for getting instadowned, bubba can do some plays now as well. Apart form that, I totally agree with you, don't get me wrong ^^.

  • @HommeBizarre said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1759614#Comment_1759614

Man, you are talking about bubba... ha has a chainsaw, it isn't a valid argument about Noed

I'm talking about face camping bubbas with noed, a particular scummy playstyle. The chainsaw is only there to protect the hooks, no killer is better at this than bubba. The only way for the survs to get out is cranking out gens, no time to waste on totems. But that nearly guarantees Noed to activate, so the remaining two (given that bubba downed two and camped them to death) have a hard time to get out.

That's one of the (rare) situations where I consider the Noed effect to be "not fine". In normal rounds, it's on the survs to prevent it, thats for sure.

  • @HommeBizarre said:

As a killer I like to use it, it punish survivors who only focus the gens and not the totems (Alert, bad word detected)

As a survivor too, If I get downed by noed it means I wasn't focused enough on the totems 5 totems which are 14 seconds each aren't going to change anything to my capacity to repair the generators... Sometimes I use small game, I really like this perk, especially when I face the trapper, I can get the totems and the traps :D

Noed if Fine, even if people pretend it is not. And this is why the devs won't change it... Cuz it's FINE

I'm glad to find people who shares my opinion x)

It's only NOT fine, when dealing with a face camping bubba, bc you have no time to do totems then if you do not want to reward the camper.

Additionally, I feel it's really anticlimactic if you are the last survivor and get Noeded in that last chase of the game. There is already no escape in this scenario, being "robbed" of this last chase bc of noed is real bummer and can spoil an otherwise enjoyable game for me :-/.

  • "Rancor is not like noed, it will not alert survivors being Exposed."

Sure there's no exposed icon, but they will recognize it when a healthy survivor just drops to the floor. They might even remember you have furtive chase if you used it earlier. But granted, that perk is used so rarely that they likely forget about it when unhooking ^^.

"Now rest is easy if you can down all of them before the 60 seconds pass."

If multiple survs get down in the exit, BW is usually not enough to hook all of them (if there are ven enough reachable hooks, that is).

But regardless, sounds fun / different, gonna give it a try :).

  • @the_new said:

why does everyone hate him and want him nerfed

There was literally no bubba thread in days, how do you come to the conclusion that "everyone" hates him? Bubba is actually seldom played and one of the easier killers to face, apart from (face) camping, there's not much to complain about. Compare this to DS or Spirit ...

  • @GamerGirlFeng said:

Killers don't care about anything other than their pips. Don't expect much more out of them and appreciate the rare few gems who actually want a fun game for everyone.

I am more or less a killer main, and pips are totally irrelevant for me. BP gains and overall enjoyment of a match are way more important. And I'm surely not the only player thinking like this. Your claim that pips is all for killers is just plain wrong.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

Depends, the most useful things against him are windows and tight corners, playing save is also good, so dropping pallets early isn't a bad thing.

You can still loop him, so if he's not breathing on your back you can probably do a few loops before dropping pallets.

Edit: One more thing you can try, it's kinda hard to pull off, but you can try stunning him mid-chainsaw sprint, it depends on your and the Killer's connection tho, there are 3 outcomes, you don't stun him and he breaks the pallet, you stun him but he also kills you through the pallet or you successfully stun him and end his chainsaw sprint.

The number of mid-swing stuns I got in my recent games was really baffling, so that's really an option if you are confident in your timing.

Another particular stupid "defense" is running below low hanging obstacles like branches of trees. It's so aggrevating that bubba gets stuck on these while swinging when he could just bump his head on them >:-(

At her worst Nurse can kill almost every survivor because teams, even in best-case scenario's, rarely work well enough to escape.

Perhaps I should clarify: I assume a very good player in a very bad scenario.

That clarification makes more sense, yeah. But I would still argue that trappy boy is not the worst then. This spot should go to either Clown (bc he's generally slow and has no snowball except for pinky finder addon) or legion (in door maps with many vaults just kill them, since it allows the survivors to avoid frenzy hits more often, so they are effectively just a M1 killer without any additional power)

  • @Lx_malice said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1753411#Comment_1753411

Fair point actually. The last person would just hide which would get annoying. I still don't think anyone deserves to escape in a scenario where no gens were completed but eh I guess that's reason enough. Just another demonstration of bad game design I suppose :/

The introduction of closable hatch and EGC was actually good game design and a significant improvement to the former solution (no hatch until at least two gens were done + hatch standoff). Sure the last surv does not "deserve" to get out, but their chances are already slim in this situation. Since they cannot know where the hatch will open (it is not visible before), they have to be lucky to find it before the killer. But the killer is faster and does not need to hide, so the odds are heavily on the killer.

  • Devotion 8 with 2.8k hours, played before devotion was added, though.

  • @MadLordJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1747567#Comment_1747567

I don't assume best-case scenario's to judge strength. I assume worst. And, as I said, at his worst Trapper is an m1 killer that wastes a bunch of time setting up only to have survivors not even try to go to any loops ever in existence because that's not actually a thing that they need to do in order to buy their team time.

Assuming the worst is not a great way to judge killer strength. What about Nurse then? At her worst, she is not blinking at all and chases the survs normally, which is totally futile bc she is slower then the survivors (only with bloodlust she might get one or two hits). Or let her blink, but miss each and every one.

By assuming the worst, Nurse is the weakest killer, followed by Myers (stuck in Tier 1, bc no stalks). Even Hag is weaker than trapper if you assume the worst, bc she is a 110% killer.

  • @kaeru said:

I have couple of questions because I really don't understand what OP suggesting and why.

What is the point of kicking player? You will be instantly screwed in 3vs1 scenario. Why would you do this to yourself?

Why do you want DC penalty be fixed? It works fine. And how your suggestion of kicking players related to DC?

Exactly my thoughts! Kicking players works in games where players can backfill running lobbies. But thats not the case with DBD, a kicked out player is gone, and you are left with a 3vs1 scenario, so kicking a player would be highly detrimental for the survs.

In the mobile version, that could work, since a left player is replaced with a bot, which could itself be replaced with an actual player again if implemented (could work like in Overwatch, players connecting to a running lobby get a BP bonus and do not pip / depip). But even there, voting someone out for whatever reason and replacing them with a bot might turn out worse than keeping the "offending" player. Only with ppl afking or working with the killer it would be an improvement, and this instances are pretty rare.

  • @MadLordJack said:

No, I think Trapper is still the weakest killer in the game and will continue to be post-clown-buff. He's seriously the only killer in the entire game who can waste time setting up a power that no-one even interacts with because they can just choose to hold W instead.

Pig is weak, but not that weak. At her absolute worst she's an m1 killer with mild game slowdown. As opposed to Wraith, whose a stealth killer with no stealth (at his worst), trapper who lets gens go for no reason, Legion who relies on quick injures and deadzones, and Clown who has a massive self-slowdown but at least counters Hold-W.

Trapper is by no means the weakest. He really needs his bag addons to be playable, thats for sure, but his snowball potential is insane. Just with two unfortunate traps (for the survs), you can totally turn a sure loss in a win in seconds. He is only weak when he is played wrong, like every other killer. So if you face one that does not use his traps or places it in obvious places, then sure its ggez. But a competent one is really dangerous, and often totally underestimated. I've fallen to this so often myself, seeing it's "only" a trapper, so it should be an easy game. And then snap, ran into a trap and was picked up. Getting of the hook, not caring about traps, snap again. Likely dying on the hook then, bc the others were careless as well.

She's a lot weaker in Red Ranks. Her power is a good concept but doesn't really encourage Survivors to cleanse. They may be Exposed but risking the rather of her machine gun sick is worse.

My recent Plague games in red ranks where exactly the opposite. They cleansed like crazy. The instance they were infected, running to a fountain, and then continuing to gen rush. It forced me to use fountains left and right to not loose them all at once (when the last fountain gets used). I gotta admit, I prefer them not cleansing at all to this, it just feels super stressful.

  • You shouldn't expect the survivors to know about Boop-the-Snoot, it's pretty niche / meme. I played this game for 2.8k hours and only recently learned what this is all about (I knew the term, but not how it plays out in a trial). And I'm pretty active in the forum. How should a newer players know about this, if the don't follow the forum or reddit and don't watch any streamers?

  • I never encountered the bug in my recent killer games (at least not with slugged ppl, with injured I did not bother to check whether the silent ones actually had Iron Will). With survivor, I experienced some instances where I did not make any sound injured without having Iron Will. But my mate confirmed to me that I still had injured sounds on their side, so it's more like an issue on my side, it seems.

    That's not how that works.

If there were too many survivors of lower ranks then the lower rank killers would be getting survivors of their rank more often not less.

Having too many low rank survivors drags the average rank in a game down not up.

I wrote the opposite. If there are too few low rank survivors, a low rank killer might get higher ranked survivor lobbies.

The list of mentioned killers consistently under perform against the creme de la creme survivours. With small success here and there should blatant mistake be made. Deathslingers stealth elements is powerful because of a large list of restrictions put on his kit.

Gun range is abyssmal, his movement speed is reduced and his capacity on his magazine is a measly one shot. There was a lot of his power budget spent on giving him a low tr that isn't even worth it.

The crux is, even with his chase potential, DS is only mid-tier and can be gen rushed easily, which can make him frustrating to play (esp. if you miss your shots like i do). But it's also frustrating to play against him in a chase (at least for many), and difficult enough to "just run gens" in solo queue. To summarize it (badly): You only have fun as DS when you are against potatoes / randoms, or against him when you genrush him with your swf.

  • @Warcrafter4 said:

    2 things:

Match making protections for new killers were disabled for some reason.

Not enough killers in your region at that time so the match making threw you into a high priority survivor que. Longer people wait the more lenient match making becomes.

My guess is that there weren't enough killers so the devs decided to throw new killers to the wolves to try to fix the issue instead of fixing why people aren't playing killer.

Not necessarily too few killers, might also be an abundance of yellow / brown ranked survivors, so yellow ranked killers get better survivors so they can play at all. Maybe it was a 4-man swf as well.

I think I've found your problem.

Monitor and Abuse is 100% a stealth perk. It allows you to get closer to the survivors before your Terror Radius informs them that you are there. Sure it doesn't go all the way and give undetectable, but it is 100% a perk that makes your killer stealthier than they would otherwise be. M&A is a stealth perk much like how Whispers is still a tracking perk in spite of not revealing any auras. That's part of why Oni has a tendency to run it. He needs his first hit asap, and the only stealthy perk that doesn't have a trigger is... a pretty good answer for him.

Deathslinger is the closest thing we have to a ranged stealth killer and probably the closest we'll ever be to having one. There's currently only 3 killers in the game with ranged attacks: Huntress, Pyramid Head, and Deathslinger. Obviously Huntress and Pyramid Head are not stealthy. 40m humming and 32m TR say no. Deathslinger though... he actually is. At base, he's got a TR of 24m and a range of 18m. There's only 6m of distance between when you can hear him and when he can shoot you which translates to 1.36 seconds of warning... and he actually has 2 add ons that shrink his TR further while aiming.

I honestly think that your expectations are just a bit off. M&A and Deathslinger are in fact both stealthy. Do they get to the level of full on undetectable? Well... no, but for a lot of applications they practically do because Caleb has range. Also... Deathslinger is not even the only stealthy killer who appreciates having Monitor. Not gonna lie, Pig with Monitor and Whispers is way stealthier than one without.

I disagree. Monitor is meant to make a first hit easier, yes, but not to make the killer stealthy. For that there are other perks actually granting Undetectable, with their own restrictions (and rightfully so). Let me phrase is this way: If a combination of a killer and perk makes the killer pratically stealthy the whole time (out of a chase) without any powers used or restrictions, there's something wrong with it. GF, Pig, Wraith all have Stealth as part of their power, they have to activate it to get the effect and have limitations in using it. DS + Monitor just works. Sure it does not remove the TR, but since he has ranged attack he can get near enough without the survs hearing it.

The core issue with DS + Monitor is not the perk, but DS totally screwed TR music. Bc it is so hard to hear, it's not so much 24 meters, but more like 16 meters. Monitor on top it's down to 8 meters, or less than 2 seconds to react. And thats only if he does not try to spear you.

From 17-18m away, meaning that you're going to break the chain if there's even the slightest bit of debris, and if there's not then you should have seen him and it's kind of your own fault in the same sense that it's your own fault for having Ghostface round a corner, pop the 99 and stab you in the space of half a second.

And if the Slinger is shooting you from somewhere you cannot see him, that also means he cannot see you. So that's one hell of a Slinger.

Even if I break free, thats still a health state lost (given I was healthy before, of course). Breaking free is another issue for me. I guess I'm just too bad, but I somehow never get free out of it, even with debris nearby. I just will not stay behind the debris but being pulled around it somehow. Don't know how the killer does this, don't know how survs prevent it when I play DS myself.

Sure if a GF does that it's similar, but I still feel the GF scenario is way more fair than the DS scenario. Emphasis on feeling here. It's perfectly fine for a stealth killer ot be able to come near unnoticed, thats whats his power is about. But DS is no stealth killer, he has a smaller TR and totally f*cked up TR music, which gets worse with Monitor. If Monitor would be a true stealth perk (meaning granting Undetecable), I guess I wouldn't mind, but it isn't. So all in all, a non-stealth killer using a non-stealth perk to get near stealth-like abilities, on top of having a ranged attack, feels just heavily cheated for me.

The slinger will know with perks like discordance / surveillance, or just using game sense (a highly contested gen). Also, "incomplete" LOS blockers like bushes work in his favor when he is close to it, allowing him to watch / aim through the small gaps, but prevents you from seeing the other way around when too far away (just pixels then).

I have a bit of an 'rp' build if you want to put it like that:

Whispers, Bloodhound, Murmur and either Tremors, DMS, Lightborn or BBQ in the 4th slot. (BBQ just for BP, as I have yet to manage actually SPOTTING a survivor's aura with it...)

And I honestly agree with M&A being a crude perk to use on Caleb. It's on the same nope-tier for me as noed on any killer with a build-in insta-down

That really sounds much more enjoyable than the usual Monitor, STBFL, Double Reload Speed builds. About BBQ, I also have games where I don't recognize any aura the whole game. If someday I do not need the juicy BP anymore, I' ll switch out BBQ for Tremors on my killers.

  • No, because Ghost face still has to get close to you, even if he marked you. And you can hear his cloak when he is really near, similar to Myers breathing. It gives you some late warning, if you are observant, potentially avoiding a grab. Compare that to DS with Monitor on maps like Yamaoka. He can spear you totally out of the blue, shooting through bushes which totally obscure him.

There are more broken killers, but I haven't seen the amount of vitriol Caleb is getting for any of them. And it just gets exhausting to play a killer you enjoy, try to play fair (so NO tunneling, no camping, no noed, no mori, no slugging) and yet you get all sort of crap from survivors just for playing him.

Has anyone left the community because they are not allowed to play a certain character, deathslinger or otherwise?

because if yes, this community has a massive problem...

Are you using Monitor to hide your already broken TR even further? If yes, then you get all my hate. It's totally busted that DS with Monitor can get close enough to spear you without you hearing ANYTHING!

Okay. I will try to explain how I see it from my side.

    • First from the perspective of a survivor who often plays alone. On the red ranks. For a game like Dead by Daylight, it's all about cooperative play. Those. I try to play with dignity. But when I see that one person falls to the ground immediately leaves the game ... it starts to have a little negative effect. I understand that the chances of winning are getting smaller. If this was done on 5 generators.
    • I consider myself not a tournament player. Therefore, I try to survive myself. And that's why I often leave survivors, who are probably very offended. And they can complain about it. -You could do that. -You could have saved me. What country I am from does not matter. The player himself must understand that everyone cannot be saved.
    • Survivors often swore that I played poorly. I cannot understand at what point for understanding them I am not playing correctly ... Therefore, we will leave it as it is.
    • Now let's take a look at the killer. It is often said to be the main source of toxicity in the game! But what is he toxic killer? waiting at the hook? Is chasing the same player? Uses a strong maniac, perks, memento? Yet again. The survivors in the game don't like absolutely everything! Than when they can play well and escape. Anything that is not prohibited is permitted. And that's why people complain. Russians also complain a lot! But to be honest, I've already come to terms with negative comments. With the reluctance of the developers to balance the fact that at the red ranks I often play against teams of friends ... I don't know. You don't care as much as I do?
    • (GT)

My bad experience comes mostly from facing russian killers, it is not eminent for me with survivors. The killers I'm referring to did not do anything forbidden like cheating / hacking, but often played unnecessarily "harsh". Sure it's the killers job to kill, but:

    • Playing slugging nurse with 5 gens left, against an obvious lobby of randoms, without any mercy
    • Tunnel-for-mori each and everyone (exceptionally cheap tactic). I would bet that at least half of my encounters against an Iri-Head Huntress with Red mori were players with cyrillic player tag / russian profiles
    • Camping / tunneling to the extreme from the start, without anyone being toxic or annoying (at least not me)
    • Going full try-hard even with disconnected ppl. No I do not want a free escape, but totally denying an unhook when we are only 3 survivors from the start, when the killer could just play a little bit more lenient and still get their 4k ...

Thats all really unnecessary. Sure this all happens with players from other regions as well, but the extreme cases (oppressive from the start without any mercy) were overrepresented by russians for me. Might be bias, don't know.

    I just had this match.

At least two rank 1 survivors queuing with a low ranked friend aiming to get low ranked killers to bully.

They looked like noobs (no skins/itens) and then in the last second (:07) changed to key + map combo.

    Absolutely dirty, right?

    RNGesus rewarded me with Azarov's.

Get rekt scrubs. Not even 8k BP.

    FEELS GOOD.

4 basement hooks on one screen, nice catch :D.

You have Franklins equipped, did you expect some last second switch or are you running it regularly?

    I play from Siberia.

More often people come across from Russia (logically) and Europe.

More negative comments are written to me in profile from Germany and Poland. :D

Funny that you say that most negative comments come from germans. I'm from germany, and in my experience, the most toxic / sweaty / scummy-playing killers turned out te be russians (or at least ones with cyrillic profiles). Maybe it's some kind of cultural thing, russians tending to play in an unfavorable way for us germans, resulting in butt-hurt reactions on your profile ... who knows?

  • No, you are dead wrong.

DS and BT are meta perks which can be used throughout the whole match. When played aggressively, like it is played mostly, there's not much a killer can do to negate the effects, but they have to play around it. Noed and BW are mediocre end game perks, and can be totally denied by the survivors (doing all totems, 99ing the gates).

  • @ArchonPrime said:

Because BHVR play survivors only,Simple answer, just look how they nerf PH and say:"We are not aiming to make The Executioner stronger or weaker overall, but rather to address some of the frustrations of both sides."

    Such a hypocrite.

What a way to totally ignore the most recent patch, which fixed Spirit sounds and buffed Discordance again (yes they nerfed it slightly before, but obvisouly they heard the complaints). But sure, devs only cater for survivors.

  • When running Furtive Chase and Make your Choice, you also should equip Nemesis. With this, you will see the unhookers aura when the obsession is transfered due to furtive chase, and the new obsession will not hear your TR on top. And nemesis helps you getting the first obsession hooked, you need not search for it.

I really like to play this three perks together with Freddy or some other killer with anti-loop potential, Make your choice allowing you to quickly down the people to continue the obsession switching chain. Can get really nasty! And it's effectively an anti-tunnel setup, the thing survivors want, right?

Are you done trying to act better on the internet then you are in real life? K cool.

Less players overall would lead to longer q times.

So sit down, Sip on your juicebox and go to bed kiddo. You’re as irrelevant as anyone else on the internet same as me.

This games player retention is garbo and the player numbers are down since the hype of PH.... and itll continue to go down as everyone goes back to work.

"Less players overall would lead to longer q times."

Sure that can happen. But less killers playing the game has ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT on your killer queue time!!! And that was the very thing you were implying. You need significantly fewer survivor players / more killer players than usual to get increase killer queue times, like multiple ppl have told you here already.

So instead of patronizing me with that condescending attitude of yours, you could act like an adult yourself and rethink if maybe your assumptions are wrong.
