Because using windows and pallets is difficult... And sitting on gens outside a chase requires too much skill... cough
There was literally no bubba thread in days, how do you come to the conclusion that "everyone" hates him? Bubba is actually seldom played and one of the easier killers to face, apart from (face) camping, there's not much to complain about. Compare this to DS or Spirit ...
I think I saw one today, but guess it was just mine imagination
I'd rather take a Bubba than a Slinger, Spirit, or PH any day.
BHVR leave Bubba alone and focus on the real issues. Nerfing Pig.
Uhh,i almost never see people complaining about Bubba.
Pretty sure most people prefer a bubba over a freddy, spirit or deathslinger any day
He can pretty easily put you in the dying state, and doesn't need to move away from the hook. All in all a lame killer.
All killers can put you in the dying state easily when you're bad as survivor.
I love going against him personally but 99% of the time, none of my teammates have any idea how to go against him and it's painful to watch. I don't know how people are so stupid but it is what it is.
I don’t see many people complain about him to be honest.
But I think the issue is that he’s a noob stomper. If you know what you’re doing he has counterplay, but survivors that don’t know how to play against him go down in seconds, which I guess feels bad for them (it sure feels bad for me as their teammate but I know better than to blame the killer). Plus his ability to facecamp is pretty unpopular, and the devs only buffed it with his rework.
Thank you for this completely useless quote. Am i supposed to glean something from this? Good survivors don't ever go down and will never lose so nothing you do matters. Just drop the controls on the floor and play with your feet. That's how little a mechanic that skips a step fares against the almighty survivor.
Bubba is fine. In fact, the rework makes him a reasonable killer to play against instead of the joke he used to be.
Toxic Bubba is not. Bubba can purposely ruin the match for all involved with the insidious/grasp basement build (which doesn't even require a basement hook as insidious neutralizes BT)
Yes, as a survivor you can and should just do the gens, let the basement survivor die (or hang and die there yourself), and move on to the next game. However, the real issue is that you still have to stay in what has now become a pointless match till its conclusion. The basement hook should not force an escape, but should actually go through the whole struggle phase to make the killer think a rescue is on its way. Similarly, the remaining survivors should all remain in the match instead of dc-ing to make the remaining gens pop as fast as possible.
Ah yes - because "he can down people easily" is a much more useful statement than mine.
It's quite simply the bitter reality that no good survivor complains about Bubba as he can not ignore mechanics as opposed to stronger killers like Nurse, Spirit, Pyramid Head etc.
He can be looped, he has no map pressure, no stealth, no gen defense, no tracking etc.
He literally has nothing in his kit except for the chainsaw and whiny no skill survivors would even take that from him if they could.
No, you don't get to complain about a loopable killer that can only instadown you when you mess up. Simple as.
But to be fair, his chase potential was buffed tremendiously, as he can swing around shorter loops with ease now. I wouldn't necessarily put all the blame on the survivor for getting instadowned, bubba can do some plays now as well. Apart form that, I totally agree with you, don't get me wrong ^^.
That's correct. I'm not going to deny that he's pretty good at 1 v 1 chases now even against decent players since his maximum range allows to anti-loop small loops (if you can time the charges perfectly while steering around loops tightly without bumping into anything that is) but since it's literally all he's got in his base kit he's totally fine in my book - especially vanilla.
He's one of my fav killers to play. Probably number 3 after Hag and Trapper.
He's kind of a blunt instrument, no setup, not real strategy other than find folks and mash em, but if you control and corner him well, while timing your saws you'll get those downs quickly.
Also while the original texas chainsaw massacre movie drags on a bit at the end, the chase scene in the middle looks like what DBD was based on, just watch it.
do you even use the forums? every time I go on theres aleast one
He's fine. Like Freddy I think the basekit is fine. Its certain add on or perk combos that make him pretty insane.
You want an urn for that cremation?
Most of those issues can be fixed with perks. So it really comes down to what their ability can do.
Bubba can with little investment instantly down someone on demand at any time. The "punishment" from missed attacks are negligible at most and easily avoidable now that you can manually extend the duration of his attack. Then there's the manner of how he can easily prevent all manner of rescue for his tagged victims who he can now just hit with his M1.
Keep being the victim killer.
He was way overbuffed.
Honestly think what you want. Every decent player manages to loop Bubba for a while. If you can't do it it's a YOU problem. End of the story.
Sorry, I thought you were capable as a killer. My mistake.
Said it in the thread you are prolly referring to:
Bubba has, like Spirit, Pig or Freddy an ability that is very easily exploitable and encourages and rewards playing scummy. It's not on the character, it's on *gestures at this thread* entitled brats that couldn't play fair-ish or skilled if their life would depend on it.
Sorry, I thought you were capable as survivor. My mistake.
No, I don't play SWF but then again there's not much I can do when the Bubba is facecamping again because there's nothing anyone can realistically do.
But chainsaw = weak so how am i to argue with that?
Yeah I see a thread every other day asking for BHVR to launch him into the sun. I quite enjoy playing as and against him, and he doesn't deserve criticism.
Sure, he's good at camping. But a camping Bubba is the fault of the player. You can win with Bubba without camping.
Than thats bias on your side. I'm daily on the forums, scanning the newest topics, and threads about bubba specifically were not present for multiple days until recently, maybe one new thread in a week on average. Compared to other usual complaints (swf, meta perks, "unfun" killers like spirit/freddy/DS) thats laughably rare. Sure there are threads about camping, which bubba excells at, but I wouldn't count this as bubba threads.
He chews through pallets way too fast. You have to throw them or get downed, there's no juking his chainsaw.
Isn't that most noobs though? Doesn't matter what killer. They usually end up dead.
Usually noobs complain about the doctor or wraith. Not really bubba.
It's the mid level survivors who complain about Bubba.
High ranks and top tier survivors, don't care about Bubba at all.
I don't know about 'everyone'. He's hated because he's still used for hardcore camping and the tantrum meter literally did nothing for that. Remember that pretty preview clip where bhvr showed us Bubba going in a tantrum when camping the basement, as if that marked the end of camping Bubba? Yeah... he can actually down the rescued person through BT now. They managed to buff his camping without removing anything of what he could already do. This from the same team that wanted to removed PH ability to get free hits and, not only he still can, but now he can also spam his m2. There, that's my guess for why Bubba is complained about.
Frankly, the dash should stop once you hit a survivor. Against good survivors you're gonna get multi hits exclusively if you camp and they get stubborn. As a change, it would impact only his camping potential, without touching his chase strength. And he would still get the hook trade anyway.
My 2 cents.
So can billy but people love him?
Not really old bubba couldn't even guarantee a down when on someones back his chille addons didnt even work the chain saw lasted like what 5 or 6s you needed speed addons with charge time or nemmisis with play with you food to even do decent use say he's good now
Yea lets forget windows pallets and lockers. Exists
(lockers only work is they full commited all charges to you and didnt down someone)
and being in possibly a dead zone and about the hook thing same could be said for billy and Michael michale pops t3 one goes down and so dose another if they trade
Unless you have Head-On, lockers are a one way ticket to being hooked. If you're DS'd, it's a one way ticket to being sacrificed. It's lose lose.
Enduring and Bamboozle. That leaves two gen perks. Sure as hell don't need anything else when you can one hit down everything.
Аctually no. There is timing when you can jump out of locker so he can't grab you.
