I think I'm just going to use these points on giving Spirit her final prestige instead.
Once again, thanks for the tips :)
I've nearly got mine completed. Just have to play more games as killer.
Only the Legion challenge and the kick 12 generators challenges are left.
-
In one of their previous surveys they ask about the rift. It's a shame that this rift hasn't added anything from the survey.
I don't think it would be hard to implement something like a bloodpoint multipler or shards every few tiers of the rift.
-
Now I use it as "come and save me" but I'd probably use kindred as solo survivor.
-
May I ask if you watch any dbd players on YouTube?
-
Tru3talent since he explains what he's doing most of the time. Although I'd say don't listen to him to much since he can complain a lot. Just ignore everything about balance and how "survivor favoured" the game/devs are.
Scottjund: I don't watch him atm but from my mates I hear he's quite good.
The people you watch atm are pretty good so even if you just stick with them you should be ok.

#1 survivors can start searching before the RBT is active, it wouldn't make much difference
#2 survivors need to feel the pressure of the timer, it would be a nerf, not a buff
#3 I don't think is fair since everybody have movement penalty when crouched. maybe giving her 100% could be ok, but 115% makes no sense, remeber she has the ambush attack, if she can crouch without penalty, her ambush would be OP
the only thing I would buff in pig are Rules set no 2 as base kit. she is probably one of the most underrated killers...
#1 True but if they search boxes before the timer is started then they aren't going to die by the reverse bear trap anyway.
#2 If you add let's say 4 seconds onto searching the reverse bear traps then it means you have more time to interrupt them before they finish removing the trap. With pig you have to accept you'll never get a head pop unless your using add-ons or the survivor makes a few mistakes.
#3 Ghostface is 115% movement speed when crouched. She has the ambush but it can be easily countered most of the time.
The reverse bear trap is meant to be a slowing down the game tool more than a chance to get a free kill since only 1/20 survivors will actually die by the reverse bear trap.
-
Pig needs some love.
1. Make searching bear traps take longer
2. Increase bear trap timer by 30 seconds
3. Increase crouch movement speed to 115%
They probably have less chance of dying from the reverse bear trap but it still wastes more of the survivors time, even with the beat rng. Increasing her crouch movement speed makes sense. Overall this would make her a lot better to play.

I´m never toxic i know you won´t believe it but im only toxic when anyone teabags. If you teabag me idc what you say, i will camp you. I dont give a fudge.
Then we'll have no problems mate. I never t-bag so if we match each other then we'll see what happens.
-
@giulianodannyfan said:
What did i ever do to you that you guys need to: Teabag, blind me at every opportunity, and genrush harder than anything else? Yea i know there will be survivor mains saying "just get good" how do you imagine that? I am rank 14 right now and only get SWF with flashlights, full prestige and red ranks. Anyway, why?
PS: Im on ps4. But STILL this goes out to everyone who does this.
Survivors can't tell your rank before the game starts. Either survivors gen rush or run these "bully" builds like all head-on or full sabo team. Flashlights are extremely good to gain distance and to save teammates.
Lastly if you be toxic yourself (camping or tunnelling) then people will be toxic back. I personally never t-bag or flashlight click unless I feel the killer earned it by being toxic themselves. Unfortunately others will t-bag for no reason which is unfortunate.

Yea. I'll upload another one once the next level is released. You probably will find it in general discussions but if it's not there then just search my name and click on it. You can then find all discussions I've created, including all the tome level stuff.

Buffed Sixth Sense to make it more useful during mid/late game.
Nerfed some add-ons and adjusted rarity.

Next Chapter = next DLC.
You can only save 1 Million BPs before to level your character(s), with this you have more BP to spend (because 1 Million is barely enough to get to Level 35 or something like that)
Thanks for helping him 👍
@Steel_Eyed said:
This is for players who finished all characters and/or prestiges. If you watch Monto when Deathslinger released, he had 1,000,000 BPs ready, bought the four perks from shrine of secrets for 600,000, and like another million from saved Tomes to unlock a lot of stuff on the character.
pretty niche but still really cool idea and great pathing. Me personally. Still prestiging characters so need the blood points now and want to advance on the Tome as well so will probably just collect them as I go.
Yeah I saw he did that. I started doing it mid tome 1 because I wanted to save points for Oni. Thought I'd share my pathings since then incase others want to do the same.

I guess you're right to an extent. Like I'm still new to the game, and I'm being put up with these red ranks. I guess I'm not used to it, but there's no doubt that this was a sweaty, toxic swf team. Idk it all seems so stupid.
You shouldn't be put up against red ranks this early into your experience. The game should be matching you with players who have a similar level of experience.
Try to watch more people than just true btw. I know you may think he's a great killer and survivor but there are many more people who are better than him. Also if killer gets frustrating just swap to survivor and learn that side more.
Maybe you should also save the clips of the games where a team beats you and rewatch it to see where you could have done things differently.

Nuts. Some of the strongest killers in the game run infectious fright, which is in my opinion the scariest perk in the game. When the hillbilly chainsaws a random and you are in a deadzone 10 feet away? That's when you are happy you have calm spirit.
Doctor is super annoying and it is a hard counter, but you will hit plenty of slugging Oni / Billy / Nurse / Spirits at red ranks running IF and it's one of the only ways to protect yourself from it. It is decent in a chase as well, when combined with iron will. It can throw off some killers to where you sprint bursted off to after being hurt.
WGLF, a BP farming perk, over just straight up not dying to a slugging Oni when 3 people on your team are downed at 4 gens left? I don't think so.
I can agree about the infectious fright part. However I don't find infectious fright too annoying after you first discover the killer has it. Spirits don't usually run it at red ranks in my games but maybe your unlucky.
Didn't you read the description for WGLF? As well as getting the additional Bloodpoints you also become happier, you make more friends and you also have a better chance with women lol

I put self care at A tier because how useful it can be to the survivor. Yes it buys the killer time, but if that survivor is good in a chase, then that 32 seconds was well spent.
Urban can be good and I've seen many use it effectively without being someone who does it around the map instead of doing gens.
Resilience can be good, but to me it's just not worth it as majority of killers can counter it with their power.
I would actually put self care in the A tier on the killer side lol from what I've seen people who run self care aren't the beat in chases. Also with how fast other survivors can heal you I don't see any good reason to run this perk.
Someone said the same thing to me about urban. However within the few weeks we were friends they never once proved its use to me. Maybe you got lucky with the people who you've seen run it lol in my 2 and a half years no one has used it effectively in my games.
I wouldn't say its countered by any power. Instadowns can but after you've been downed then if your healed up or unhooked you'll be injured again so it's ok. Some killers like legion and plague actually help the perk.
-
Definitely need to lower self care to tier C. At red ranks theres nothing better for killer and worse for survivor than seeing someone use self care. Inner Strength should be a solid B or A perk. Urban needs dropped a few tiers to C I think. Resilience definitely needs to be to A because of the vault speed and the potential it brings with spine chill.
I think your tier list is definitely designed to your play style. Maybe that's why my perk placements and yours seem to be a bit off.
-
I laugh as killer and survivor when I notice calm spirit. Brilliant to see a wasted perk slot. I'd say calm spirit isn't in the top 30 survivor perks in the game tbh.
The perks my mates commonly swap between are Inner Strength, DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, Spine Chill, Adrenaline, Iron Will, Head-On, Resilience and WGLF. I might be forgetting a few but these in my opinion are the best perks in the game.

That’s why they make it harder to rank up and besides more ranks would make the ranking system more complicating = longer queues
I wish it was tougher to rank up but more people would complain about how unfair ranking up is.
At least with more ranks people will still feel "rewarded" by ranking up regularly. I think when it comes to matchmaking it won't make too much of a difference. Red ranks usually will get rank 10s as teammates and killers anyways. Since the player base stays the same it won't make much of a difference, just a difference to ranks.
I personally think to help with queue times they need to advertise this game better. Just imagine if they paid a few youtubers or streamers to advertise the game when a new killer comes out. It would bring an influx of new players to the game. The only time this game gets any type of advertisement is when they release a trailer for a licensed chapter.
-
I actually think there should be more. When someone reaches rank 10 they think I'm half way to being to red ranks when they actually are nowhere near the level of a red rank player.
I think once you reach rank 10 your given false hope on how much skill you have compared to other players.
Sorry if this sounds bad but I thought I'd explain why there should be more ranks.
-
Rank means nothing to me. I can mess around as survivor or killer and still reach rank 1 in less than a week.
As survivor if I try and play a meme build like sabo or full team with head on I'm apparently bullying the killer. If I die the killer then messages us saying haha we're useless so we need to escape at the end. This means that I need to play normal and gen rush the killer so I'm not "bullying" anyone.
The killer getting a merciless killer is a good thing. It means they didn't camp or tunnel and probably 3 hooked everyone.

@SmarulKusia said:
I just want to get this straight...
Meat Plant, easily one of the most killer-sided maps that is possibly most hated and complained about because of:
- How ridiculously small the map is where 80% of the game is spent in killer’s terror radius and not knowing if the killer is on the same floor as you.
- There are essentially no safe loops or pallets on this map
- Very few vaults
- Gens are in a very awkward place
Yet you decide that the best thing to do for the maps is to make them smaller and remove loops..
Despite one of the issues of doing objective is getting stuck in a 3-gen situation where killer can easily monitor all three gens that are in a close proximity of each other - despite that being the objective for the survivor. This is already an issue in the “big maps that take ages to walk across”.
if you’re going to make these spaces smaller and removing loops then ATLEAST fix the issue of getting hit through a vault, and nerf gen specific perks for killers. ESPECIALLY since gen rushing is being nerfed for survivors again
Ok you might be surprised to hear this but I think currently the map is actually quite balanced and if not it's more survivor favoured. I'll explain why now.
1. The two pallets next to the basement are God Pallets and good players know how to use them.
2. Above the bathroom there are 2 really good pallets that are also incredibly safe.
3. One of the 2 exit doors always spawns a pretty safe pallet. It's the one that doesn't spawn between the 2 bins.
4. Above and below the corner stairs there are even more safe pallets.
This map is was killer sided before the ruin nerf. If the killer has noed then it can be a problem but that's unlikely. If the killer plays the map offering its probably because they have a build that suits that map like Scratched Mirror Myers or Giant Terror Radius Doctor.
Babies will always lose on this map but experienced red rank players can win on this map pretty easily.
-
I care about points so unfortunately for the last survivor that's means I need to hook them to get max points. I feel bad a maybe give players second chances but not a free escape.
I had a game where David was afk to start the game. I didn't want to hook him but I wanted my bbq stack incase he dc'ed. So after he got rescued I chose to ignore him a few times and chases others as a second chance.
-
@batmanscar said:
ok well as another example there is the perk bamboozle that can be used to block the ledge to stop a survivor with lithe , so that the killer can stop the survivor from escaping , anyway DS is a free escape for survivors and they really need some good perks like the one I mentioned for the new killer because Deathslingers perks where pretty useless .
The only thing I might want to ask is why would people run a perk to counter ds when if they play smart and fair they won't get ds'd at all. Only killers who want to tunnel a particular survivor would run this perk. Even the people who don't tunnel and dislike ds wouldn't run this since it's too situational.
It says a lot that people feel like they need to run DS. They know that killers like to tunnel and camp so they feel they need this to counter those people. Also slugging is a counter to ds.
Your examples aren't great to be honest. The devour hope one needed a lot of random things to happen all at once (it was also impossible as milo said). Bamboozle doesn't counter lithe either since if your chasing a survivor your probably behind them which means they'll make the vault before you can block it.

I never said I played just killer. I've played survivor probably more times than I did killer. Its just that survivor has gotten really boring. I would always play survivor with a party of 3, and I know first-hand the advantages of swf, even when not tryharding. And if you watch true talent, you can see the potential and how OP swf can be. Something like that should just not be in the game
Well you never said you played survivor so I just had to say. Also you say you've only been playing for a month or 2 which means you aren't at a level yet to beat a really good team. It usually takes at the very least 6 months to get good at one side.
Unfortunately the game isn't great at telling someones skill level. People can get to red ranks quite easily on both sides which means the highest rank of the game is flooded with a mixture of experienced and new players. The game should match players with people who have a similar devotion level, rather than rank.
I have watched true talent before but I find it hard to watch his videos now since he can complain alot. I've also been playing this game at red ranks since 2017 so I know this game pretty well. True may complain about how op a swf team is but it needs to be a good swf team. I've beaten countless swf teams who think they are good but to me aren't that great.
-
I will say first don't just watch true talent. He's a good killer but he makes swf teams out to be the worst thing ever even though 9/10 swf teams aren't even that good. He also complains about everyone being a swf team when half the time they aren't. The really good teams are going to beat pretty much every killer but can't we say that about any game where people have played it a lot?
Playing just killer isn't going to make you a good killer. You need to play both sides in order to understand how both sides think. Annoyingly there are people who are toxic but unfortunately that is the same with most games. I'd also say these "bully" teams may be annoying but it's either that or they gen rush you and the game ends in 5 minutes.

So, in a very specific scenario, with specific players, he’s beatable. Great balance.
No lol in terms of killers that are better than him we have Spirit, Nurse, Billy, Huntress, Freddy, Hag and Wraith. There are a few like Oni, Plague and Doctor who may be better but it all depends on your opinion.
He's fine but he has no map pressure and very little anti-looping ability. At high ranks Ghostface will get beat by any good team. Against babies then he will probably win but so will every other killer. If you also run spine chill it hurts him even more.
-
I don't think you realise that he isn't an overly strong killer. He's good but against a good team on a open map you should easily beat him.
-
The only thing I'll say is you are devotion 3 level 19 so your not exactly new to the game. It's really bad the ranking system at the minute but it seems like you did good and with your devotion you should be well equipped to face red ranks.

Good that you like it but I simply hate it, because it has nothing to do with DbD. Nor with the lore or anything. It just ruins the atmosphere for me. I know that DbD is not that kind of horror game, but I think something is wrong if a skin just makes you laugh. Maybe my opinion would be different, if the skin was more horror themed.
But at the end, these are just opinions and not facts. Good thing is that you like it, bad thing is that I hate it. But I need to admit, if we get more skins like these I would considere quitting Dead by Daylight. Its DbD not Fortnite- somewhere should be a line for skins imo.
I get that and thats why I would hate seeing emotes added to the game. Cosmetics I don't mind since memeing is a lot of fun in this game and I feel cosmetics like that are a bit of a meme.

Again way too true. It's more annoying since the people can't reupload their designs the following year. I'm not saying any cosmetics from last years contest were better than this years but we'll never know. Maybe if some from last year were uploaded this year they could have won.

Excellent work by the community. In a community known for toxicity it's nice to see us all band together to credit each other for our great work. That is a possibility, however, there are 2 doors and many, MANY ways of creating distance between you and the killer. Exhaustion takes 40 seconds to recover, pallets give you at least a 3 second head start. Most exit gates have a jungle gym either right next to it, or closeby. If you used those resources before the exit gates are powered, thats on you.
As the last survivor, if you're healthy, you still have the jungle gym nearby to create distance, or enough time to reach the other door. If you're already injured, there would be no difference, let alone that, again, you probably have an exhaustion perk thats ready to be set off anyway.
It would make 1 type of scenario harder on the survivor, but it makes 20 types of scenario's a bit easier on the killer. That is a balanced trade-off.
That doesn't really work mate. If the door is already open then you have only a limited time to escape. As the last survivor also I can't just run to the other door since its probably not open during my hatch being closed scenario.
Smart killers will just take advantage of the extra speed they have and how the survivors only have a limited time to escape during end game collapse. I think if you tried to play a kill your friends with a really good killer then they would show you how easy it is to exploit this idea of yours.
-
@Predated said:
As a survivor main, who enjoys playing killer, there are only upsides to this, as the only downside can be countered:
- Bloodwarden recieves an indirect buff, and quite a strong one at that without being game breaking.
- Someone bodyblocking an injured survivor doesnt become a free escape for a survivor who doesnt exactly deserve an escape.
- little to no room for BM as a killer can infact instadown you in the gate.
The only downside?
- if you as a survivor would otherwise have escaped and earned it, or if you have a teammate that has been tunneled, you have less room to tank the hit.
Which is totally fine, considering the speedboost you gain from tanking a hit outside the exitgate area is more than enough to actually escape. So you should start body blocking earlier on, but body block too much while running to the exit and you're in danger of being instadowned.
As a survivor main, I dont see any real issues this could show up by implementing this:
- if im injured and inside without NOED, I would be hit anyway - no difference
- if im healthy and hit outside with NOED, I would very likely have been hit anyway - no difference
- If im healthy and hit outside without NOED, I would escape either way - no difference
- If im healthy and inside without NOED, I would be downed, which would be my fault for being greedy, as I can otherwise gain some distance. - not exactly an issue
So imagine if I'm the killer. Wouldn't I just follow you to the door and deliberately not hit you until your inside the exit area. I don't think that would be fun mate.
It would also make trying to escape as the last survivor even worse. If the killer closes the hatch and the doors become active then I already need to be careful. Then after that if the killer gets to my door just as I'm about to open it then I'm guaranteed dead unless I somehow spin him twice.
I understand the intent behind it but I don't think the execution is the best mate sorry.

Yea I meant across multiple rifts lol I thought if we got 2 for each of the next 3 rifts then it would be pretty cool.

OK, sounds like the consensus is definitely that I just need to focus entirely on boxes when trapped. I think I'd gotten lucky and gotten it despite dawdling a few times, and assumed that was the normal, and the times when I'd dawdled and died was bad luck. I will assume the worst in the future. :D
Thanks!
You shoul definitely try at least one box before your trap becomes active. As long as she doesn't have crate of gears or tampered timer you usually have plenty of time to search all the boxes.
Once the trap is active you need to prioritise getting it off. No healing, hiding from the killer or trying to finish a nearly completed gen.
If you want a strategy to help you then heres something you can do. If your running low on time and your box is very far away then try and get the killers attention. As long as your in a chase then your timer pauses. This means you can get closer to the box while the timer is paused. If you go down then make sure it's as close to the box as possible, without giving away you need to search it.
Either way her boxes don't need nerfed. If anything she actually needs some sort of a buff tbh

As a survivor if I could see the killer I'd adjust my perks to counter whoever I'd be playing.
I'm a bit confused from your comment, are you suggesting SWFs are boring to play against like you find Spirit?
No he's suggesting if you can see what your facing then you'll dodge. This will increase lobby queue times which already aren't great atm.
Some killers would being a mori, very strong add-ons or dodge if they knew they were facing a swf.
If I knew I was facing a hag I'd dodge or bring a flashlight. Does it mean the hag is op or unbalanced? No
The devs don't want to encourage any lobby dodging unless it's due to bad ping.

Just play normal. If we're getting destroyed after that then I'll just hook suicide since I know we haven't much hope of winning.
If someone does that to me I just play normal. If I bring a mori then I'll wait till death hook before I use the mori since I'll feel confident that I'll win.

Yeah, the killer should gain extra bloodpoints form hooking you again, you should be dead on hook or continue your normal cycle (if you were on second hook you will be dead on hook and if you were on first hook you will be on the second one)
You won't be able anymore to spectate if you escape, but if you really want you will not be able anymore to use this perk (for the current trail)
And the protection hit name will be changed to something better (now I don't know what name write).
They could just add a scoring event for hooking a returning survivor. I'd also say continue the normal cycle. I don't think being death hook is fair tbh.
You need to be able to spectate. If you don't spectate then you have no idea if you need to return or not. It would just make this perk exclusively for swf teams. Also this perk can only be used once per trial.
If you return then any points you earn are increased by an additional 100%.

I would call this For The People.. or I mean No One Left Behind.. or I mean We're Going To Live Forever..
All jokes aside it would suit being called Risk It All. This doesn't really work with all the conditions you've set. Unless you escape immediately after end game collapse has started and immediately return then the timer for being exposed makes no difference really. Also you only gain 100 points for protection hits so this will only increase it to 200 points. I think at the minute it wouldn't really work well and the incentive isn't great. The killer also has no real counter to you if you wait till your timer runs out.
Here is some ideas I hope will make your perk a bit more balanced.
- You come back through the door you escaped from
- You gain 100% additional bloodpoints for everything
- You remain Exposed the whole time
- The Killer sees your aura for 1/2/3 seconds after reappearing from the exit door
- You only lose your escape points and items if you die after returning
- Lower the seeing survivors auras timer down to 5/10/15 seconds (this is due to swf teams abusing this mechanic)
- Remove the mori mechanic (this will allow you to sacrifice yourself if you may have deliverance or other perks)
I hope you like the changes I thought of. Honestly I never thought of returning from the exit door as a perk idea before but you've actually came up with a pretty cool concept. Fair play on thinking of it mate 👍
