You don't want the the killers to know your gamertag don't give them a reason to remember it. Grow up or shut up.
Sometimes playing smart is why they remember you. Slugging can get you targeted or gen rushing. Me and a few mates played a game using only WGLF and the killer messaged us. We didn't use any items or offerings and they still complained about us gen rushing.
Also I must say.. your not king of the irish lol I'm sorry to inform you but after successfully spinning a leatherface chainsaw 3 times in a row to save someone with bt and for us both to escape I have taken your crown lol

Now might I ask
why would the killer be extremely toxic to that specific survivor?
Were you toxic to a killer and he punished you after?
This isn't exactly true mate. Sometimes a killer can remember you and have a vendetta against you for no good reason.
Maybe you looped him for all 5 gens? Maybe you hit ds at the exit door? Maybe you completed a gen in their face?
I've had a killer message me because I bodyblocked someone at the end of the game. They sent voice messages and complaining how that was "the most toxic thing in the game". He said "why do I care about ranking up?" even though he was complaining about depiping lol
Yes unfortunately people can be toxic and that's why they may be targeted but it's not fair to assume that every person who is targeted did something really toxic.
Edit: Personally what I've always thought should happen is to hide the survivors username until the end game tally screen. If the killer remembers the survivors skins then it's the survivors fault for not changing their skins every once in a while.
-
Personally I'd move the Plague up a tier or 2. Loves dodging her corrupt purge.
Spirit I would lower down 4 tiers since without iron will she is extremely unfun to face.
I actually don't mind Freddy. I wouldn't love facing him everygame but I don't think he is bottom 3. Probably in boring games category.
Deathslinger I enjoy facing quite a bit. Trying to dodge his shot is why I'd but him just below top tier.
Can we just delete Hag? Pretend she was a bug and just erase her from history.
-
I'd rather hook suicides than DC'ing. If you don't people killing themselves on hook then play in a swf.
If your playing solo survivor and your team is useless its it's ok. If they aren't doing gens, self-caring in corners and just hiding the whole game then I understand people killing themselves on hook since there isn't any point continuing on.

Funny story is that lately I've switched to Yui. I made my account on here and made my name BEFORE Cursed Legacy.
I've also been hit my too many NoEDs that weren't deserved, so BONES BEGONE!
I did also say earlier that I'll let others heal me too. Botany Knowledge is also pretty useful with Self-Care or when you get an unhook.
I respect the Begone Bones movement lol people complaining about noed make me laugh since all they need to do is get rid of all the totems.
I just hate the time wasted by self care. Yes its quicker with botany but I think there are better perks that should be used that don't waste time.

Looks like we'll never play together then. I'll take my unlimited use perk and heal up in the time it takes you to find a totem.
BTW, I already cleansed 2 to help cancel out the possibility of NoED.
Just saying that ONE person with Inner Strength is fine, but limited. 3-4 is basically detrimental and a worse One Use Only perk than the ACTUAL one use perks.
Looks like we won't lol inner strength can't be run by more than 2 people in a team but that's ok. Shock that claudette is running self care and is still taking my totems lol
If I see a player running self care as killer I'm happy. I know they'll waste their teams time by healing everytime their hit.
-
Inner strength also syncs well with head on a d ds. Self care also sets off nurses calling if your close. Inner strength helps stop noed.
Overall self care is just a complete waste of time and I wouldn't play with anyone if they run self care or urban.

Why is it funny watching people rage over absolutely nothing?

I'll keep that in-mind the next time this is asked then, I thought he was just asking for a fast route to the end or something and than save whatever challenges are on the side-lines, there wasn't really much to go off of in the comment itself, so it was guess work for me at the start.
Now I get it though, it's all about point management, something i'd have to go in-game and check before posting an answer. Thanks for clarifying that, I didn't exactly understand what he meant until now, now I see what the goal is here. Hopefully both answers are satisfying to the OP, or at least one anyways.
As soon as I read "save BP up" I was pretty sure what he meant. I think he'll appreciate our efforts.
I'm happy with the layout of this tome level. It allows every challenge to be completed, with forcing you to collect challenges.

I guess this is the new way to complete new DLC's in 1 or 2 days... hmmm.
I mean it's not a bad idea, with this method you could get a new Killer to P3 in 1 day, which is what someone did when Deathslinger came out. I hope my last comment above corresponds with what he's trying to save (the last image I posted before this comment), but your route is probably the better option... they both end with 11 challenges to save, but i'm guessing this is more-so about saving the challenges with the most valuable rewards.
Yea the more points the better. I don't think you'll get p3 in one day unless you grab every grey item and prestige immediately.
I think mine saves 9 masters and 2 normal and yours saves 6 masters and 5 normal. It all depends on whether he wants to start with the killer or survivor challenges first since mines requires him to start with killer.
Either way both examples we gave got him a lot of points.

Oh so that's what he wants, I didn't exactly understand from one sentence alone...
I don't do this min-maxing stuff for new DLC, so it doesn't cross my mind to begin with.
I always do this so I knew exactly what he meant lol
I like to have 2 million or more Bloodpoints for the new chapter when its released so I always try and find the best possible route to save points. I usually post them on the forums too since people like jamie want to do the same thing.
-
Hope this is helpful. Seems like the best way from what I've seen.
This is if you want to save as much bp as possible while also completing every challenge and reaching the end.
-
I generally hear survivors say "boring" when talking about killers that are considered strong and are played often. They find it "boring" facing the same killers multiple times.
I hate facing hag and find her boring for a different reason. I hate having to hold L2 just incase there is a trap around the map. I also find she camps the most so that's another reason I hate her.

You've just proved my point when I say anyone can make it to red ranks. At the minute Freddy, Spirit, Nurse and Billy are far better than him.
-
I'm not sure about the power but I don't think the perks are great.
Stay for longer: Its basically just remember me. The difference is you don't take do anything to earn the wait time.
Family Treasures: So it only works basically 3 times? Also there is no tiers to this perk. It doesn't help people like your killer since they can't cross the map quickly. Maybe put extra fake chests on the map?
Tag Game: I like the idea behind this perk. My only issue is if the obsession doesn't heal then the perk is useless. Maybe if the obsession heals another survivor then they become the new obsession.
-
I don't think it's the worst chapter. I personally hate the stranger things chapter. Demogorgan isn't fun to face or play as for me. Both his and Steve's perks are pretty useless in my opinion. The only thing good about it was Nancy's perks.
I like playing against and as deathslinger. His perks just are terrible for him that's my biggest problem with the chapter. Why give him a hex totem perk when he doesn't have another hex perk to synergize with. Dead Mans Switch could work with certain killer add-ons like prayer beads, map-wide wraith bell or class photo freddy. Gear Head is just bad.
Zarina's perks aren't great but at least can work in fun builds.
The new map is class and I really enjoy playing on it.

I understand your reasoning, but the issue I have with it is that DI and PGTW are perks and my idea is to slow the game as a whole AS A GENERAL CONCEPT NOT AS A PERK... DI doesn't trigger fast enough and you need to be hooking non-obsessions and the obsession isn't affected by the effects of the perk so technically if a non-obsession is on a hook, only two players are being affected by the perk. As for pop, it'll only work for ONE gen and if you fail to go to one, you wasted the perk, but my concept affects ALL gens. Though pop is a good perk (I use it myself)... its not completely reliable... if you hook someone and you're planning to go to a gen, but see someone at the process, you have to make a choice, go after the survivor or waste your time going to the gen and risk losing the survivor. However with the concept I made, you're still applying map-wide pressure while doing your objective at the same time... I think you misunderstood what I've been saying because the concept I came up with IS NOT a perk, but rather a part of the game that ALL KILLERS have access to (Just like the endgame collapse)...
Ok my bad I thought it was a perk lol
-
Adrenaline has always been fine. Honestly I've seen it used a lot less in the past 6 months at red ranks so I definitely don't think it needs touched now.
-
Doom Eternal is class! I love the weapons, enemies and the millions of collectibles. Only on level 7 so I'm not going to spoil anything and would like nothing else spoiled.
Can't wait for resi 3 also but I've deliberately avoided everything on it.

That idea is pretty cool to, but the idea I had was more of a generic thing and isn't a perk so every killer has access to it. Also the reason why, the number values is small is because if a killer manages to get hooks very quickly, gens will be pressured quickly too so it rewards players who are getting hooks and doing their objective :)
If the killer could get hooks quickly then other perks like dying light and pop are better. The problem is good survivors can do really well in chases at the beginning of the game and the killer will get gen rushed. Early game slowdown is currently the biggest problem atm.
Also my idea wasn't for a free perk to be given to all killers. It would be better if it was a dlc killers perk. It would lower the number of people running noed and cannot be abused like some other ideas floating around.
-
I like your idea but I don't think it is strong enough. This was the idea I had a month ago.
Hex: Hide And Seek: All totems on the map have the hex applied to it. The game starts with a 15/20/25% penalty to all action speeds. Every totem cleansed reduces this action speed penalty by 3/4/5%. This hex perk trumps all other hex related perks.

So, had a game as legion. I started off strong and hit all 4 survivors who were grouped up. I chased one, downed them. They gave up on first hook, downed another one, they gave up on first hook, then downed another one AND THEY gave up on first hook. Found the hatch and closed it. Guessed wrong on exit gate and last survivor escaped. I was like, “I got a 3K. I should pip.. right?” But no, because I didn’t get enough hooks because they all gave up. I saved pip. What can I do about this? When survivors can literally dictate wether I can pip or not? It feels wrong to me.
Both sides dictate if the other can pip or not. On the survivor side if you play boosted, don't down anyone and survivors do gens then they can depip even if they escape.
I always say why do people care? There's no reward for ranking up and getting to rank 1 isn't anything special in this game. People who have only been playing this game a month can reach it easily.

Doesn't make sense lore wise for survivors to give up either.
Really hate these "it's not realistic" or "doesn't work with the lore" crap justifying bad gameplay decisions.
This is a game, not a book. Gameplay comes before lore.
Ok I understand what you mean but gameplay wise I don't think killers should be able to surrender. Even at the worst of times you can still get 1-2 kills.

You can't open the exit gate until all 5 gen's are done. Too many times I could even count when I get in game with SWF groups who are just being toxic and want to farm/bully the Killer will do 2-4 gen's and take the game hostage. The large amount of safe loops, and pallets in a match lets them do this eaisily and Killer's are completely powerless to stop it. The worst times is when they just take the game hostage by sabotaging all the hooks so even if you do down anyone you can't hook them. Try to slug and they will safe loop you till they can save each other. Good survivors can do this easily without any stress.
Survivors can just suicide on hook, but Killers are forced to DC to avoid hostage situations like these.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1167055#Comment_1167055
I've had a match where I would step away for an hour and a half (I watched an entire movie on Netflix) and the survivors are still in game clicking flashlights, teabagging, and notification spamming behind my killer I left in the corner. I would try to push them out the door at that point, but they still didn't finish the last gen. The game proceeded where I had to take the brunt of all their abuse till they finished maxing all their catagories, and then they finally finished the gen and let me leave. Ensuring to bad mouth in the end game lobby because I went afk and that was aparrently what anyone did wrong that game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1167065#Comment_1167065
I like this idea, but if survivors abuse it like they do leaving 1-2 gens up, then I would suggest giving the Killer the option of opening the gates from the start of the match.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1167066#Comment_1167066
NOED in high ranks is useless, survivors cleanse all the totems, and totem locations are easy to remember. Unfortunately in my situation Hex perks are off the table. If it was a team of survivors where NOED would work on them, then I wouldn't have an issue with the survivors taking the game hostage in the first place.
They won't abuse it. They could try but that could lead to them being beaten. As I said before I don't want them to give the killer a way to surrender since it doesn't make sense lore wise and they can still win even in bad scenarios.
So what your telling me is I wait 15 mins for a survivor game then the killer sees we have Rancid Abattoir as our map then opens the doors immediately? They shouldn't be able to open until they are basically beaten.
The killer is the power role, you should never give up hope of getting kills. No matter how unlikely it looks.
-
I'd say maybe after 3 gens have been done you should have the option of opening the door yourself. But I don't want to encourage this since even with only 1 gen left the killer can still get a 4k.
Personally most of my wins end up with only 1 or 2 gens left so that shows how close to the end the game can get. Especially a cocky team can make many mistakes which led to you getting multiple kills.
-
Plague was worse in my opinion. A lot of higher rank people thought she needed buffed or she was balanced. Lower rank players were demanding a nerf to her corrupt
-
He doesn't need nerfed. Against good teams he struggles due to his map pressure.
For how weak he is in map pressure he needs to be strong in chases which I think is good. If you play against him similar to clown (aka drop pallet sooner than on normal killers) then you should get a 4k escape.
-
You think the killer making a list is weird? Not really. I'm going to agree with some of the other comments and say I think your not telling the full story.
T-bagging is the equivalent of going haha in my opinion. T-bagging at a pallet or at the exit door is the same thing. It shows your being cocky because you think your safe. If it were me I wouldn't face camp but bring a mori instead.
I don't keep a list but I'd say a lot of people remember the names of players who have been toxic to them before and may change their killer or build in response to facing them.
-
Good work mate! I only need Bill's new trophies for ths full set. One of the 16 platinums I've earned on playstation.

What if you don't want to have to play optimized killer builds? What if you want to experiment and try to find something that you enjoy? A build should be one possible way to play the game, not a necessity to win.
You can experiment but then don't complain if gens might go too fast. If I get tunnelled after unhooking, I can't complain if I don't run ds.
Good builds aren't a necessity to win but they are the best possible way of winning. Most games you can be ok with bad builds but if you face a good team on a bad map then don't complain that you got gen rushed when using your average build.

What would pop have done in this case. Gen slowdown perks are not the issue here. Maybe corrupt could have helped, but this is the result of the ruin nerf.
With the first gen, it wouldn't have helped. I'm only saying he should have had pop in response to the thread mentioning he needed stbfl to get more than 2 kills.
I will say though that gen would've probably popped regardless of old ruin. Not in 27 seconds but probably in 40.

I get what your saying. But don't you think it's a little unfair that killers are forced to run certain builds whereas survivors get free reign to run whatever they want to?
Yea I understand what you mean but I think it works both ways. Survivors feel like they need to run unbreakable or ds most games. If you aren't running a gimmick build, I don't understand why you aren't running their best build.
The difference with survivor and killer perks are that every survivor perk works on every survivor. Whereas a perk like monitor and abuse works great on Myers but not on Huntress. There are a bunch of really good perks on both sides.
-
The gen went fast but that can happen. The massive map made it tougher for him but he still won. Stbfl helped him but if he had a better build he he would have done better.
Instead of surge he should have run pop. You need good slowdown gen perks and if you don't have any then you can't complain if the gens are done quick.
So what you should really take from this video is. Should I run corrupt and pop? I would say on Clown yes.

You either play as survivor against a group of people that can talk to each other which gives them such an advantage over the killer. Or you play as a Survivor solo with a bunch of potatoes and can't get out of the game.
It's ridiculous..
You explained why people by swf by accident. Random red ranks can be as bad as green ranks so I'd rather play with a reliable swf team.
However if you are certain you are deleting the game I'd say don't play any other multiplayer game. Nearly every other game has comms like overwatch and fortnite. I'd recommend Alien Isolation, it's a really good game.

Yea but in that same survey they asked if we were interested in lobby/post game survivor emotes. Which could easily devolve into fortnite like dances if they sell well enough. Especially when they also hinted about pop culture references in the very same survey. It's just worrysome, is all. No game stays perfect forever, the devs always make some dumb decision eventually (or many many smalls ones that just add up until the game suffocates to death), i just don't want this to be the thing that ruins the flavor of the game for me.
Guess we will just have to see. Hopefully the survey takers didn't all vote in favor of it.
@CashelP14 Gestures is what i am worried about most as well. The problem is if they let in pop culture charms, they have already opened the door for pop culture anything else. Then if they also add gestures (which is bad, im already getting tbagged enough) it would just be a matter of time before half the players are doing the gangnam style dance everytime they pallet stun you, lmao.
I think they will lessen the amount of charms in the rift next archive. The pop culture references will hopefully not be chosen.
-
I'm happy the survey focused on charms. Personally they are the things I least care about in the rift. Things like bloodpoint boosters I think should have been in the rift the first time around.
I'm more worried about the tally screen banners and gestures part. I don't think this game needs or suits having any extra gestures.
-
Honestly I don't think the stats will have dropped that much for kill rate. The really good teams were escaping easily before ruin rework and the bad teams were dying regardless of how quick ruin was destroyed.

Then we get into the definition of "winning" again in this game.
Imo winning = having a fun match.
If I have to sweat and play scummy till the end to get a 1k, 2k, 3k or 4k, then I did not win, I had a misserable time, but that is just my view, there is not set definition of winning in this game.
Fair point, it does all depend on what you term a win. For me a win is a 4k or 3k with hatch. But my main goal every game is to get as much points as possible. So I want to 3 hook everyone every game which unfortunately can't happen. I don't camp and don't tunnel unless I need to eliminate someone from the match.
But I've seen many games where the killer wins of just one good moment. Whether it be downing someone near the hooked survivor or finding a strong 3 gen. I think as killer if you have the attitude "I'm not going to win, I want to leave" then your never going to become a great killer.

I really like all of her perks actually. Inner strength I run basically every game since it doesn't take long and couples well with head on/ds. I actually run this now instead of adrenaline.
Better together is also really good. Not neta but not bad either. Seeing where everyone is when someone is downed is really really good.
Fixated i don't run but definitely not a bad perk. Good to help new players learn about scratch marks.
