Did you forget about Leon's existence? He's probably got the worst perks outta this chapter (except Flashbang).
-
Ran into a hacking Doctor yesterday. His heartbeat was mapwide, skillchecks were just a small white line due to 4x Unnerving Presence. Constant SB speed, no cooldown on hits (I spun him twice) and he always knew were someone was. He killed 3 people started EGC, carried the lsat survivor to the exit gate and then activated Bloodwarden without hooking anybody and last survivor died to EGC.
His perks were Huntress Lullaby, Franklins, Sloppy Butcher and Nurse's Calling.
Was interesting to see. I've seen killers hack to fly, get constant information and throw hatchets. Never seen a hacking killer with mapwide terror radius and 4x Unnerving Presence. I even hit 2 of those skillchecks.
-
Well, they showed with RPD, that they've got the ability to disable certain map offerings, if the map is bugged. I don't understand why they're not doing it now with The Game and Dead Dawg.

Soooo no one is going to mention Smash Hit?
So many killers can totally ignore pallets (be it ranged killer or killers that can break pallets with their power) and can be countered by killers that respect pallets, so Smash Hit is super situnational and dependant on the killer. I once ran it, got a single stun on the Wraith and for the rest of the game he respected pallets, so I couldn't use it again. I agree with people that say it's the weakest Exhaustion perk.
Also I recently replaced DH with Balanced Landing. The trend of getting hit in the middle of the animation finally made me take it off. Balanced Landing is nice for being able to drop down buildings and not get hit for it. But SB + Fixated is one of my favorite combos in the game, so I might also run that from time to time.

Survivor will not have had any changes or new content since Resident Evil chapter. No changes in the Trickster midchapter buff and now no new survivor, perks or perk buffs in the Hellraiser chapter. If rumors are true we'll get a new survivor the upcoming midchapter, but that's still about 5 months (from RE chapter to next midchapter) with no changes or new content for survivors. Leaving the state of survivor to be pretty stale atm
-
I think Tinkerer on it's own is fair and balanced and Ruin on it's own (or with Undying) is pretty balanced as well, but it's when those 3 perks are combined, it creates a boring meta of leaving chases to scare survivors off gens. Maybe down them in time before you get your next Tinkerer alert, if not, just leave the surv to got to notification. Rinse and repeat all game or until Ruindying has been found.
-
I'm a little dissapointed as well, especially after the midchapter was pretty lackluster as well. Only being Trickster buffs and Trickster perk buffs. Survivors haven't had anything new to mess around with since RE Chapter, which means survivors won't be getting any new perks or perk buffs for another month and a half, after Pinhead releases. Which is like 4 and a half month without content/changes for one role of the two roles of the game.
I had really been getting my hopes up since the mid chapter with Freddy, Huntress and Demo changes + a bunch of survivor perk buffs, that as an amazing update for both sides. But ever since updates (excluding RE chapter) have been super lackluster.
-
Syringe ain't instant and you have 16 seconds to down them (more or less time depending on perks and addons), besides killers have plenty of instadown perks/addons/powers that can be used multiple times throughout a trial, so seems fair survivors get one too.
One BNP is countered by a single kick of Pop (if the survivor hits both skillchecks) or can get deleted by Ruin. Though I get the annoyance if all survivors are running Commodious with BNP and charge addon, but I haven't seen that one single time as either killer or survivor in all my time playing.
Killers have plenty of strong and some few game altering addons, seems fair that survivors get two.
-
I mean, did anyone else really think that they weren't gonna put it in, even though we complained?
They've spent almost 2 years working on it and put a lot of resources and money on it. They were always gonna put it in, whether we liked it or not. They're too proud to admit when they're wrong. Breakable walls are another addition most people disliked but they still insist on putting onto maps.
-
I doubt the chapter isn't selling well. I see way more Nancy, Steve and Demodogs than Tapp, Pig, Quentin, Freddy and Ash combined.
-
Every since her changes, years ago, Nurse has been a buggy mess, but devs have yet to fix her.
-
Actually a really good idea. Like in the tomes. "Earn x amount of bloodpoints", "Scare x amount of crows", "Get x amount of emblems" etc would be really cool
-
I was thinking of changing the "Escape with a new item as X survivor". Would mix "Survive as x" and "Escape with a new item" dailies and therefore be worth 60k, since you technically do two at the same time.
-
I tried introducing 2 friends to the game today (I have 3k hours, they have 0 each). We go against a Spirit that's brand new and barely manage to escape, but in the end all 3 did, with the rando dying. Killer had about 60 hours in the game, so it seemed fair, cause I am pretty good at looping and they barely know what pallets are, so they dragged me down a bit.
Next game we go against Ruin, Undying, BBQ Tinkerer Wraith with 13k hours and didn't stand a chance. Afterwards Spirit withh Ruin, Undying, BBQ and Pop, after that another wraith with Ruin, Pop, Enduring and BBQ, after that Blight with Ruin, Undying, BBQ and Tinkerer, afterwards Trickster with Ruin, Undying, BBQ and Bamboozle and final game was Hillbilly with Ruin, Undying, BBQ and Infectious. We all died, or at best, one person got hatch those games.
Idk how high our MMR went up from that first Spirit game, but damn, must've been a lot to end up with all these sweatlords. Safe to say they don't wanna play until the MMR test is finished.

Adrenaline is FAR less problematic than NOED.
I haven't seen anyone complain about Adrenaline since 2019. I thought people realised how dumb they sounded.
-
It's probably just a bug or an oversight that it got removed. Knowing Behaviour, they can change one thing and manage to bug out something that's completely unrelated to that thing.

What yellow glyphs?
I have the challenge selected, it says having the challenge active will spawn yellow glyphs, but I have yet to see them (in my 4 matches as killer, so far)
I think they're survivor only glyphs. Usually red is both killer and survivor, but other colors are survivor only. Can't say for certain though, since it doesn't say in the description of the challenge that its survivor only.
-
Fun as hell! I hope they make skillchecks slightly larger and maybe speed it down a bit and then replace struggling on the killers shoulder with that instead. Or even as people suggested, make it a small Overcharge minigame
-
One time in endgame chat I wanted to tell the killer that I saw my console teammate doing nothing with my perk Bond.
"I saw them hiding in corners with Bond." it turned into "I saw them ###### ## ####### #### ####"
Killer was like "woah chill"
And I tried to figure out what was being censored. Turns out that for some reason the perk name Bond was being censored. I was unable to write it but then when I said "I'm trying to say my last perk" and the killer responded "Bond?" He was able to say it. He thought I was cussing at my teammates this whole time. XD

Well the perk description itself says it activates when the "Exit Gates have been powered", I strongly presume closing the hatch counts as that.
Yeah, I presume so too, but the post was about how it didn't do that when NOED had the same description but still activated on Hatch closing
-
Does No Way Out trigger on gates after hatch has been closed? I haven't tried it myself, but I remember reading someone saying it doesnt. If not then Remember Me is more useful there, otherwise No Way Out is better in every way.
-
If I remember correctly, the Beta of DbD was basically all 5 McMillan maps combined. They had all the main buildings in one map.
-
They can't.
-
I think Demogorgon is one of the most balanced killers in the game and very beginner friendly.
He's kind of a Jack of all trades character, but master of none. Portals to travel around faster, shred to close distance to survivors running to a pallet/window, some tracking with his portal and a little bit of slowdown if survivors decide to remove his portals instead of leaving them up. So his power his got map traversal, help in chase and a little bit if slowdown.
His only downside imo is his addons not doing much, so Black Heart and Barbs Glasses are the go to addons for Demo players.
-
So far I've done all challenges in all tomes in all archives and finished all rifts. 100% of survivor challenges done legit and 95% of killers done legit. Those last 5% have been some bs killer challenges where I just farmed with survivors to get it (Plague one with hitting 2 people with corrupt twice last tome, Clown invigorated challenges this time, a couple Trapper ones and some others).
-
Remember when they used to do Green Rarity skins? There were usually 2/3 different varations so people could choose their preferred color. I miss those times, now we only get Purple Rarity skins

dam, playing with my friends. toxic. with or without mics. toxic. having fun. toxic. playing survivor. toxic.
Some killers won't be happy until survivors do nothing but run in a straight line.. wait.. they're complaining about that too
-
I've played this map 7 times total. 3 times as killer and 4 as survivor.
As killer nobody escaped, but it was hell to traverse the map and find people, it's an amazing map for immersed people.
As survivor, I've escaped once, all the other times I was either left to die or stage 2 on hook, cause survivors couldn't figure out how to get to me. :/
-
It's part of the game and survivors get rewarded with WGLF stacks, bloodpoints and I think there's even achievements for taking hits for others. It's annoying when it happens, but I don't think survivors should be punished for being altruistic and helpng each other.
-
He was hit by the same fate as Spirit and Freddy. He got a "nerf" that barely changed anything and people stopped playing him, even though the nerf really didn't do anything and was more of a buff.

Let me ask you, are you in the EU too? Do you know the location of players I'm referring to?
I'm EU, who keep getting put up against Asia and Australian players

i wish

I once had a Bubba do that to me because I brought a purple flashlight, then was super proud and happy about it in endgame chat. So I got really sad and depressed as I equipped one of my other 200 purple flashies. :(
-
Wdym only perk that has no cons? Survivors have plenty of passive perks that bring no cons.
What's the con to Bond? What's the con to Botany? What's the con to Lightweight? Urban Evasion and Fixated? etc
Iron Will is fine, survivors are allowed to have strong perks too

Then how did I get some on the 15th when I bought him eh could have been a back up of a previous one
They gave out another 300k and 3k shards due to optimization not being ready until the midchapter.

Its done in a private build not in public games.
I watched a streamer called Kittychipz that used a recolored version of Nancys newest hair on Yui. She was playing in public games.
Also I feel like this modding craze came out of nowhere. Been playing since early 2017 and I've never heard of anyone modding the game (except survivor/killer photos) until like 2 weeks ago and now I see new cosmetic mods every day.
-
People hate how he looks, his perks are some of the worst and I think people are still salty we got Quentin instead of Nancy.
I for one, love my sleepyboi.
-
Making Kindred and a totem counter basekit is all I'm asking for. Just turn Kindreds killer aura reading down from 16m to 6, so you can still see the killer is around hook, but no give any information where the killer is heading after a hook. Then have Kindred give extra killer aura reading. These two changes will give solo survivors the same amount of information as SWF has.
Otherwise they need to add a ping system with messages like "Going for unhook.", "Doing a gen" etc, and thought I love that idea, I feel like it'd be kinda out of place in DbD.
-
I already find Trapper to be one of the least fun killers to go against (less fun than Spirit).
Basically get found and run and pray he hasn't trapped wherever you're running to. So little interaction. You can't keep your eyes on him and see where he traps, so it's just blind luck if youre gonna step in a trap at the loop you're running to.
Also his double Iri addons are bs. I don't understand why no one is complaining about them. On their own, they're kind fine, but together it's a lose/lose situation to disarm his traps. Either disarm his trap, lose a health state and have the trap automatically reset in 30 seconds or basically let him trap 10 different loops you suddenly cant use.
Also basement Trapper is just gg for the first survivor hooked.
-
Survivors dont bother wasting your cakes during this event. All killers wanna do is camp and tunnel you

Yeah something that gives permanent Hindered, but faster repair speed? Maybe.
I doubt the devs would ever make any repair faster generator perks. My idea was 50% slower repair but 50% faster at every other things, like healing, cleansing totems etc, but that's probably also a bit too much
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
Another “challenge” perk like No Mither would be cool.
Yeah, I'd love that. I wonder what they could come up with. Or more perks like Autodidact. Hinders you in the beginning but the more you get to use it, the stronger it becomes.
-
I thought I was the only one that noticed! Glad I'm not crazy.
Also am I the only one hearing Adam scream whenever I've been on a hook for a while?? Just like a short "Aah!" Once in a while!?
-
I feel like the map is just as bad for survivor as it is for killer. Hard to find gens, there's like 4 god pallets but after that then the rest are a death sentence to use and being chased is basically just run through the hallway and hope for something.
Not saying that it's a killer sided map, cause it's hard to locate survivors if they play immersed, it's big and super tough to patrol gens + the infinite window.
Overall just a bad map for both sides.
-
@MadLordJack said:
That's the entire point of the perk and is a very necessary element in balancing DbD: early downs.
I just wish the Devs had actually made an early game collapse instead of making us rely on a perk.
The Bhvr way. Selling solutions to game issues through perks. Killers have a bad early game? Run Corrupt or Lethal Pursuer. Solo queue needs to be on par with SWF? Just make them use perks like Kindred and Small Game. Inifinites exist? Just use Bamboozle or Hex: Crowd Control. Killers are camping or tunneling? Just use BT/DS etcetc
-
They said on stream the kill percentage between bloodlust and no bloodlust was only like 1% in favor of bloodlust. Personally played killer during the weekend in purple ranks and had no issues killing survivors, but I also know it's still needed on a few maps like Haddonfield to try to counter some infinites. Hopefully someday the maps will be good enough so they can remove BL2 and 3 and just keep 1.
-
As someone who plays solos survivor about 80% of the time, I don't trust my teammates enough to be able to juke the killer, so the last thing I wanna do is have the killer lose me during a chase.
My SWF friends are casuals that barely know how to loop as well, so I like having to take aggro and waste the killers time.
I guess it's a good perk for people who like playing stealthy and wanna escape the killer rather than looping them. It's a strong perk, but it only really suits the stealthy playstyle, which is usually frowned upon by players.
That's at least my guess to why it isn't meta.
-
To be fair, the map was made in 2016, early on in the games lifespan, the devs have improved a lot at making maps look more like their source material since. So I'm sure whenever it gets a rework it'll look much better. I personally hope for more furnished and detailed houses, just like Thompson House.
-
@gendoss said:
They want to make maps more like the swamp with hills and such. Basically every map is flat except for the swamps.
My mind is blow . I've played DbD since early 2017 and never realized this.
