End game user's life.
Many survivors think theyre good when finish 1 Gen (x4 survivors) and start tbag at 1 Gen left.

In the same match. Jake fresh off hook, clicky tbag body block me from unhooker. I hit him, he had BT, keep tbag for a short more. i had 7 stack STBFL
Bill clicky tbag at 1 Gen left. i pretend to bad mind game. Waiting for last Gen done. Gates powered, I had Rancor, Bill was obsession.

This thread, just like Freddy's current power, exists solely because of a single mistake called Patch 1.8.1, that happened long ago.
Freddy's very first version, the one Patch 1.8.0 introduced, was the best killer BHVR has ever designed: fun, unique and strong without being overpowered.
It is devastating that he was very short-lived.
I joined the game when I couldnt see him. And then he has snare/pallet. There was another version before that? Im curious what he was in 1.8.0

Tbf how many times do survivors spawn in, do a gen, then notice a totem right next to them and bam hex gone in 25 seconds.
Currently the time isnt on Killer's favor because:
- Killer spawns in a corner and they have at least 3 furthest Gens to go and find Survivors, often they come at a Gen with no survivor, and Bam, 1 Gen done because 4 survivors spawn on another Gen.
- Killer spawns in middle of the map, they dont even know where they should go.
- While Survivors always spawn on a Gen or a Totem. Quite unlucky that the Totem to be a Hex.
I have this idea, which make Killer know where they should go, while Survivors have to walk around for abit to find stuffs to do:
Survivors spawn at Gates (either 4-0, or 1-3, or 2-2 formation). Killer spawns 100m away from both Gates (take 20sec to reach to a Gate), and can see aura of Gates for 10sec.
This way, Killer knows where they should go, and Survivors have to hide from Killer's first Gate area searching before they actually can do anything, or get into chase early.
Lethal pursuit should be nerfed down to 5sec with this change though, so it only gives Killer info that which Gate has greater number of survivors, and the direction they start to go.

Best maps are one with grass. Macmillan, Coldwind, Haddon, Crotus, Badham, red forest, Yamaoka
Indoor, Autoheaven, Crow are bad

I thought you mained spirit?
I like to draw Spirit, also the second killer I play after Trapper.
Trapper takes 80% time of playing Killer side
-
As Trapper main, I dont have ability to do loops and mind game. But rather manipulate survivors movement path into traps.
Time management, yes, Trapper is forced to know every title for best trap placement. And still getting countered by Brighter the screen.
I use End game build, its really easy to see survivors can finish 4 Gens by the time I finish setting up traps. A match can go from 0 hook into 4k in 5min. The Gates powered moments last longer than the 5 Gens time.
Often I see survivors starts to tbag after the 4th Gen done. Like me just M1 a Gen for 80sec, me so good. Then go straight to die with Rancor (because the toxic one usually carry DS)

That also applies to hex perks.
Good luck finding ruin/noed/devour on maps like RPD
Racoon, yes, I understand. But any indoor map beside Racoon is do-able with 4 survivors. Beside, survivors side have Small game, Counter force, Detective hunch, and Map item. For Killer? its a sound.

That's interesting. I'm on the fence about running it (with Small Game) because they're not always easy to find. Some matches it really makes a difference, other matches it feels like a waste of time trying to hunt them instead of getting on a generator.
Problem with bless it can be interrupted by killer if they know where it is, then you have to start over. It adds more time to healing, where as with Self Care you can heal a bit, find a new place to hide and heal some more.
Where the boons really shine is bringing them in at after half way and we are losing. Shadow Step or CoH can help prolong the losing game, which makes it more fun.
3 original maps, Boon isnt strong, easy to be found. For maps like indoor & swamp map. You may only need to bless once, and it lives a whole game.
-
Selfcare = 32sec, for a single heal.
Boon 14sec + 16sec heal = 30sec. For that single heal. Except Boon gives unlimited Brown medkit, to everyone. Able to heal twice is already benefit compare to the blessing time you gave.
-
Main building may have random rotation. But Im sure not all of them do. At least I know some like Bloodlodge, Thompson house, Slaughter house, Father Chapel....
-
Honestly if Pig cant break pallet, its likely survivors will try to mind game and there is 50/50 chance you can hit them with ambush. If Pig can break pallet, the moment she sit, survivors would just W away. The worse part is pallet still stay there and not used.
I would make a Yellow addon where Pig Ambush can break pallet once she's out of RBT. That would bring total surprise to survivors.

There are two perks it could be a reference to
Dying light
or Dead lock
and just based of context (the word hooks) im gonna guess dying light but I can see where the confusion stems from since no one really discusses the perk too much and it isn't used enough to have a shorthand nickname like other perks
Famous Meta perks like DS, DH, BT, Noed are easy to recognized because of everyday mentioning.
We keep getting more and more perk, I couldnt remember them all, not mention the short word.
-
Is DL Dead lock?
-
I use End game build, so i think its count as Offensive.
It can go randomly from 2 hooks into 4k. Usually get tbag asking for chase, because they finish 4Gen right after I finish setup traps.
-
Yellow mori should be basekit, I forgot to use them in match all the time.
When there are 2 survivors left, 1 with Rancored, kill obsession and I pick the last one with DS, forget about Mori offering.

Yes, make IW slowly decrease volume overtime in 7sec to 0% when not running, and increase volume in 2sec to 100% when running.

Perks arent the answer just a band aid.
Same to using 4 second chance because of tunneling/camping
Same to using 4 slow down because of Gens fly
Everything is fixed by perks
-
It sounds stupid; but between the 8-10 hooks, 2k match that tense and close, everyone has alot of fun; and those match that killer 2 hooks, 2k by camping with Noed where no one has fun. Is the reason why "the mess" works for this game
If the game always have similar outcome, it would be boring after times.
With "the mess", you keep playing and hope there will be a "tense, close fun" matches.
-
Why?
Edit: oh nevermind, this was an old post.

Most separated survivors you tend to lose 3 gen.
I meant either 3 Gen, or 2 Gen with Hex.
The whole problem is because Killers dont know where to go, either to 2-3 furthest Gen, or spawn in the middle and have no idea which one of the 7 should go. Meanwhile its possible for 3-4 survivors spawn right next to a Gen.
My fix would make the opposite, Survivors dont know where to go, while Killer can pick a Gate and go straight to there.
-
-
When I open the box, you come.
-
There were games that Killers tunnel Mika, I self heal with her Coh then body block Killer, take hit, back to Coh then repeat. While other 2 do Gens.
Not always able to save tunneled one though, but feel good doing so.

You can trap the drop from the second to 1st floor.
The drop only give traps some concealment because of texture, the trap is still in plain sight.
The gates area though, completely hide traps.
It was fun because I play end game trapper. Which pretty much I play as M1 killer without power. Until 5 Gen done with a trap triggered at gate that come with Remember me. Even more fun with double auto reset traps addon. While Im still an M1 killer, with Noed and Rancor.
-
I prefer Boons to get some buff like 7sec Bless, makes no noise, 28m range...Then its permanently gone if snuffed
-
Yes.
-
As Trapper main, the map had no place to trap. Except the gates area...work every time. It was the only map that you can hide traps at gates.

Yeah I do that too. Jeff has my altruism build and Jane has my solo build. I also play Quentin sometimes but I don’t like his new face as much
How can? Quentin has the most improvement update, along with Kate & Jake
-
Noed is weak to a fairplay Killers who allow all 4 survivors to roam and have fun, but its straight up unfair for tunnel/camper that force survivors to only Gen rush. Its more about the core game design than the perk.

Maybe :).Tbf I like Jeff because I relate to him as a quiet metal head myself
I grind perks on survivors I have and give them 1 aspect perk build (Jane with full healing, Clau with full stealth),because it would save me time from set perk build every match, and its more fun by playing in different style. So nowaday I play every survivors, not only Yui. And I play Jeff sometime (full teammate aura)
Beside, I did a Jane art 2 years ago, quality is outdated : D

please no.
7 seconds?
Down a freshly unhooked survivor, pick him up:
- No DS? Back to hook
- Has DS? Now he doesnt have DS and its free to tunnel.
If you dont tunnel freshly unhooked survivor, beside you have to make a longer chase (vs healthy unhooker), you also risk that unhooked survivor still have DS in end game.
DS is likely to encourage Killer to tunnel than not. The punishment it gives to tunneler is far less than fair play
-
Impossible, Red-21 Blue-15 now its 22-24
-
I would make the stun goes up to 7sec to heavily punish tunneler. But disable when 5 Gens done.
I play survivor more nowaday. And when I play Killer, I dont tunnel or camp. The fact that DS actual punish tunneler less than fair play.
I was not yet in chase, so when unhooking happened, I went back to hook and chase unhooker. I did an ok job without tunnel or camp as Trapper, as I also dont kill until 5 Gen done. 5 hooks and Gates powered. My whole Endgame build activated (Nowayout, Rancor, Noed, BW). I was able to down/hook some. Then I got constant DS because I didnt tunnel earlier.
-
You into plus size arent you? Jeff & Jane
-
I play swf once (4 matches). Eventhough they were generally nice. But I felt like we bullied killers in match. Even if the matches were 2k. But definitely Killers sweat alot from constant flashlight save and super coordination play.

Spirit is...fine. Her nerfs (aside from the addon stuff, which was a bit harsh - but not like that's anything new *cries in Cenobite) only really hurt her mindgame potential at very high level MMR.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2640345#Comment_2640345
Hag? Yeah, boons can be rough on her and people have learned how to play around her now. I still do pretty well on her, just need to incorporate some ability to instadown (DH) or futz with booners (Plaything).
CoH will eventually have to get a nerf, that perk is just too strong against any sort of attrition based killer.
You could stop at "Spirit is...fine", and that would be more appropriate answer to him.

I had this one: Me stand between a pallet & injured Meg
I M1 Meg, she screamed and Dead Hard, but got stuck from me. I was on cool down and she just had enough time to pass through me for Pallet. I M1 her again, she screamed and I stunned. Then she ran away.
I dont mind DH thing, but let me heard she screaming twice without a hit made me feel robbed.
-
I would give Killer ability to see all totems. In exchange they no more able to hear Boon.
So if killer hears a Boon is activated, they can make a guess and check for a totem to see if its Boon. Rather than unable to find Boon in map like Racoon or Swamp

@Feyd said:
Really makes me laugh at all the whining about boon totems. They aren't even good. The situations where they help are really niche and require wasting time to prepare them.
Also, if you slug someone next to a boon and don't snuff it, that's your fault. They're novel right now, so they're prevalent. Everyone will be back to dead hard, DS, BT, adrenawin, or unbreakabill soon enough.
Let me give you a list what Boons give into gameplay:
- Survivors can recognize Hex and play around (Thrill with no Ruin = DevourHope/NOED; no Ruin but there is a Hex = Haunted ground ect). Killer has zero info what are the effect in a Boon.
- Hex & Totem supposed to hide in a small/tight space that hard to see. With Boon, Killer has to interact with Totems, since then Totems forced to be in more open space so Killer can interact. Boon exist is an indirect nerf to Hex, just for the place they should spawn.
- Boon can trump Hex, Hex cant trump Boon.
- Survivors have choice between Bless or Cleanse. Either to gain benefits or prevent Noed, Plaything from ever happens. Killer doesnt have a choice to Cleanse to prevent Boon (this would bring depth totem play to Killer that either keep Totems up, or prevent Boon but also reveal he doesnt have Noed)
- Survivors can spend 1 of 16 perks for Hex hunt. Its not worth to spend 1/4 perks slot just to able to see Totems aura.
- Some map like Swamp that always have a Totem spawn at an unknown corner. If the Totem is Blessed, it requires Killer to spend walking around the edge of the map full lap. For a 10.000m map, its perimeter should be ~400m. It takes at least 60sec to walk a full lap. Its equal to 3Gen time (60sec x 4 survivors = 240sec). Maps with double floor gain double benefit.
- A Boon can pin point location like a map. I got chased away from a Gen in the Game lower floor, then I can instantly go back to Gen because of a Boon near by.
- A survivors can keep changing Boon location, this gives teammate info of where Totems spawn, and they can follow the path and destroy it. Without paying time to find. Saving time of the possibility that 2 survivors go around finding Totems cause wasting time.
- When a survivor Blesses a Totem, others know where their teammate was, possibly doing Gen near the Boon to join in. Or stay away and spread out Gens.
- When Killer snuffs a Bless, survivors know where Killer just was, and estimate direction Killer coming to your Gen. This act like "Alert" to all 4 survivors.
Killer main only look into the infinity time to snuff, and effects perks give and complain. Its actually just a minor thing. The little things happen when a Boon is up, is crazier.
