  • I give the last guy the hatch most of the time, otherwise i just look for him. Just denying that extra bp and not moving even though the gates can be opened is just childish. Still more bp to do 2 gens and open a gate btw so not that big of a deal righ?
  • As long as the rules of the game are not being broken, nor are you cheating, you are not responsible for the fun of your opponent, whether it be killer or survivor. These made up rules are getting over the top. Flashlights are annoying, not toxic. DS is annoying, not toxic. Camping is annoying, not toxic. Tunneling is not toxic. Looping is not toxic. Instaheals are not toxic. They are all legal parts of the game that your opponent can use whenever he feels it is best (not you). Stop putting your made up rules on others. They are allowed to play the game as they see fit within the confines of the rules of the game. Just because you do not like something, does not make it toxic.

Like i said, you are not obligated to do things like that. They are not rules, they are basic kindness. Not even kindness, just not being obnoxious ( i'm not responsible for anyones fun ) if everyone would think like that then this game would have 0 players, you would face 4 DS every single match. See it as your responsibility to keep this game alive for yourself so you can keep playing, only way to do that, is to keep it fun for everyone. Toxic killers and survivors depend on the people who play this game normally and have some fun, if those people weren't there, this game would not be alive anymore and the toxic people would need to wait hours & hours for a lobby, just to be lobbydodged. And killers would face D/C's every match after camping every guy he catches. But hey, at least you're not responsible for anyones fun right?

Don't get me wrong, urban evasion was one lf my favorite perk ideas when it was released. It needed one of two buffs, either working while injured, or being much more powerful. Unfortunately they did buff so yeah, I think it is kinda sweaty. Especially when its a bunch of people running Claudettes sweaty clothes. No wonder he kept losing people.
I'm playing a Meg with a tennis skirt, a small top and a headband. Much skin is showed and Meg's skin is very bright. The killer just wasn't that good, there was 1 Nea with simple clothes. 1 Claudette with pink shirt and 1 P3 Claudette. So the P3 Claudette probably was hard to follow. But also remember this was Shelter Woods. A very open map.

@PiiFree this is more an example of the bad ranking system because the killer was way too bad for this rank instead of the imbalance of the game. Unless that was what you meant by imbalance.
  • I agree.
Describe a way that survivors make it fun for a killer? Anybody?

It's about mutial respect for the fellow dbd gamer. We are all in this mess of a game together. It's funny that the killer who would camp everyone would probably be the saltiest person on earth when it happens to him. Same way around, when i play killer i'm in no mood to play vs some guy who flashlights at every pallet and uses DS, so when i play survivor i don't do ######### like that nor do i use DS. You are not obligated to not camp, but survivors aren't obligated to not use 4 DS and 4 insta heals. But it's about mutual respect. You want to create a fun game for yourself, your teammates and your opponent. Ruining anyone else's fun just for the sake of it ( again, don't say it's a strategy ) without the need to do something like that is just obnoxious.

Edit : i'm not saying DS is disrespecting anyone. I realized i said it a bit wrong. I'm meaning just taunting and annoying the killer and use a free escape afterwards is just a small pp thing to do.
  • @Broosmeister said:
Please don't play with sweaty builds like that. It's just no fun for anyone

...says the guy with the usual strong survivor build. Don't forget the toolbox!

Every player is allowed to take whatever they want, but oh the irony...

Lol the flashlight wasn't even used. I can do max 1.5 gen with that toolbox, it saves maybe 15 seconds total. I get that our builds are strong, but it's not OP.
Survivors need 1 exhaustion perk, no matter what kind, it just helps during the chase, i like iron will too. Self care is needed when you play solo, also healing time has been nerfed so i'm out of the game for quite some time.
I'm not against strong builds, i'm against OP builds. If we had insta heals and BNP i would've agreed with you, but our items shouldn't have won us the game. And the perks are not sweaty or OP,  just necessary because the rest of the perks are useless. Only perk which is bullshit is DS, you can't say that Urban Evasion and self care are sweaty, they are just good and balanced perks.

The only special thing here is that someone actually managed to get a total of 6833 points AFTER escaping.

I've never seen anything THIS low after an escape.

Like i said, i played solo.
There was 1 immersed Claudette, but not immersed in a good way. More like a "i hear 1 heartbeat so i will just hide" kinda way. She rescued me from the hook ( i know, what a brave soul, isn't she? ) she crouched all the way to me and took her sweet time while the killer was after someone else.

Edit : i think it was the other Claudette who saved me, because it was a safe hook rescue. So she should have at least 7000 points with the escape included.
Damn, i have no idea what she did, maybe she only did gens and hid the rest of the game when her Spine Chill popped.

    "Toxic Camping"

Is it an exploit or abusive end game chat?

    If not, it's not "toxic."

You're confusing toxicity with bannable offenses buddy.
  • I play on ps4 too!
Tunneling and camping is just part of the killer's play. If you get floored immediately after touching the ground again, your teammate screwed up for taking you out with the killer nearby. If you get tunneled then the killer is just desperate for a quick kill and it is what it is.

Especially after the recent rank reset I've been seeing farrrr more camping killers on ps4 so I'm just waiting to see if it calms down since this is my first rank reset. Or maybe its just common on lower ranks, I was boosted too high from the bp farming so the rank reset dropped me back down close to where I really was skillwise and now I can't rank up or down because of tunneling and camping and lag switching, and laggy killers taking advantage of people with their lagdom, and a bit of bad luck or bad play on my end as well.

Dear pig players on ps4, I am always the first one found in your scary games. Please stop camping and tunneling me with a mask on, I will massage your ears and brush your hair if you tbag hi at me and we can be best buddies

Yeah, people on console have literally no clue how to play the pig. I too get tunneled sith the mask on, like let's tunnel the only guy who won't do gens and will run around the entire map to get some stupid piece of iron of his head.
  • PiiFree said:

No, it's not. Camping and tunneling is the equivalent to gen rushing and looping. Both are valid playstyles that have nothing to do with being toxic. They all serve a purpose regarding the objective. Also, DS is not toxic.

Teabagging and pointing at the Killer are a form of taunting and disrespecting and are therefore toxic. The Killers equivalent is "hitting survivors on hook" or "mori spamming".

    You're welcome.

I get where you're coming from. But please face it, 5 gens left, ruin is still up. A survivor didn't do anything toxic at all and didn't loop you around for too long, maybe he even made a mistake or got unlucky. And then he gets camped hardcore ( of course gens are going to be done when you stay near the hook ) but you completely ruin the experience for that survivor because all he can do is get of the hook to just get smacked down again. If the gens don't get done fast enough a 2nd guy is gonna get fcked, at least he got to do some gens in the meantime but still. End of the game, boom noed. Smack down another and if you get lucky the other survivor is near, killer gets 2/3 or maybe even 4 kills without playing good, killer gets in a higher rank than he should be and proceeds to ruin the game for everyone.

Is standing infront of someone on a hook with a chainsaw killer, or shocking the hooked guy with doctor so it's impossible to unhook not toxic? Is it even a strategy? No it's not, it's weak habbits by weak people with weak skills. Looping requires some sort of skill, knowledge and mindgames. Camping doesn't require anything but 3 braincells and 47 chromosomes.

And again, i get camping while being gen rushed, i get camping to secure a kill. I'm talking about toxic camping, not all camping is toxic. You should know what i'm talking about when i mean toxic camping, and please let's not pretend that it's a "strategy". It's cancer, that's all.
  • LCGaster said:

I don't tunnel because I want to, simply when someone gets saved and I go to the hook the guy who got saved just runs in front of me like a re.tard, if it happens a second time I just down them and go away

Yeah i also understand that it happens that you keep finding the unhooked guy, that's their own fault of course. I'm purely talking about killers who always stay near hooks just to get the unhooked guy as fast as they can or killers who give up their chase just to go back to the unhooked guy. If there are many gens done, i understand, i'm talking about early game here. Maybe i should've mentioned that lol
  • PiiFree said:

Implying that camping and tunneling are toxic :^)

It is, killers imply that t-bagging and DS or pointing at the killer is toxic. Why would camping or tunneling not be toxic, i get that a killer sometimes needs to camp or tunnel and i don't say anything about it then. But when there are 5 gens left and your ruin is still up, don't camp and tunnel then. It's just a garbage thing to do to your fellow dbd player.

BuT iTS In tHe GaME. <- ######### argument
  • You have to see the irony of making a post about having such a great game and then immediately asking killers never to do the same thing. It's not every game you'll run into a killer running an iridescent add on and an ebony mori. It made the game memorable and interesting. Which is exactly want ultra rare stuff is supposed to do.

My point is, that i can still have fun, even if i lose or get killed. But dying to a build like this is never ever fun and you gain nothing out of the match. The fun for me are the chases and mindgames, the strategic thinking. Which is instantly gone once you have an instadown killer with abnormal lunge amd an ebony mori. Then he also feels the need to bring Ruin and thanatophobia as if we don't have enough on our plate already ( i don't mind ruin or thanatophobia, but in a build like this i do ). This was clearly with ill intend and not an everyday build.
  • I get that if you happen to be near the hook and i get unhooked by a ######### mate with the killer nearby that the killer goes for the injured one. But killers just stay near hooks amd wait untill the unhook is done, like spirit for example just walk away so your terror radius isn't there anymore, then when someone gets unhooked ( even if she's chasing someone else ) just phases back to the hook immediately. This happens to me with any killer. Now i must say that on console the most toxic, tunneling, camping and douchy killers are doctors i genuinly hate the doctor because of the people who play them.

And i don't T-bag @KissyKissy nice assumption based on nothing by the way. I do T-bag when i feel that the killer deserves it, but i don't t-bag at every pallet. I will T-bag when a killer is tunneling someone else in the hope the killer gets mad at me and tunnels me. At least i buy my team some more time and if i die, i die, so be it.
  • Mochan said:
You say it's no fun for anyone. But you also say it's your best match ever. That's like saying you don't like having fun.

I say the higher the mountain, the more fun when you climb it!
It is only fun when you demolish some sweaty dude. If the killer was half decent or if the ruin took longer to break then we wouldn't escape at least 9/10 times. That's no fun, short games with mori's.
  • @Broosmeister said:
It's not a better perk than Spinechill or Alert.

Of all the detection perks Spine Chill is definitely the best. No cooldown, increased speed bonus (which works on vaults too), range is the same as most killer's heartbeat, and gives you an idea on what the killer's focus is. Procs while on a gen? Killer is coming to that gen. Procs during a heal? Killer has Nurse's. Procs when you are definitely well hidden? Killer probably has some aura reading add-on. Procs against Myers? You are getting stalked. Procs during a chase through a jungle gym? Killer is going in that direction so turn around. As killer it's very hard to counter mostly because it's very hard to tell someone has it.

It works on vaults too? Damn that's good to know. Yeah i love Spine Chill, it always comes in handy, especially vs the pig. And while working on the last gen you can leave the gen when the killer comes before he gets there, that way the killer has to waste time searching for you and other survivors can do other gens. This way you create an abnormal amount of pressure on the gens.
  • TheOwl said:

Truthfully, I would like to play against a killer like the one you fought. I don't see many Myers, especially those who have infinite evil within three, so it would be a pleasant change of pace.

From what you say, the killer didn't camp anyone, and everyone had the chance to escape so I would call it a good game. The killer likely saw the one flashlight, two toolboxes, and one med-kit in the lobby and prepared accordingly thinking that you would be a hard group to face. It does seem he was correct as you all did work well together.

I rather die to a good killer who knows what he's doing so i can actually learn something on how to be better in the game. I don't like playing against fools with builds like this, because they don't deserve the kill but they got it just because of some stupid OP build. This is a build with ill intend and it takes the fun out of the game.

So i'm facing a sweaty infinite tier 3 myers with ruin and an ebony mori. I was playing solo, they got the ruin quite quickly. He downed someone, then another guy and then he downed me. Only 1 gen was done once he had his infinite instadowns so i thought we were fcked. But i started to play really immersed and we got some gens done, last gen and he got someone with DS. He got off and lost the myers after a short chase, by that time i popped the last gen and the exit gates could open, this was shelter woods and the gates were quite close to each other. Then the killer saw me and immediately started chasing me, i figured if i run away from the doors he will stop chasing me, but no, the killer figured he could mori me and he would have at least 1 kill. I used my Lithe and flew away into the sunset, he lost me so he went to the exit gate. 2 people just got it open on time and just got out. Now my challenge was to reach the opened gate if he left, but then he walked a couple of steps away from the door, and D/C'ed. Ending of the match was so nervewrecking for me so that D/C really made my day.

Please don't play with sweaty builds like that. It's just no fun for anyone, i'm very happy that we completely turned the odds around and escaped.

You say dont run sweaty builds, and yet I see a full item loadout on the survivor side and DS

Lmao a brown medkit, a yellow flashlight with brown addons and a yellow toolbox with a brown addon. Yeah very threatening. Only my green toolbox with yellow addons gives me a good advantage. And yes there is 1 DS but that shouldn't be a problem with this built. And as i said earlier, i don't use DS and i think it's indeed sweaty.

Pfffft. The Survivor builds are WAAAAY more sweaty than the Myers' build. Thanks for the laugh though.

1 guy had DS, i never use DS but that's indeed a stupidly sweaty perk.
The rest are only important perks because 90% of the other survivor perks are #########.
Is Urban Evasion or Self Care sweaty?

Urban immersion is sweaty especially on P3 claudette, plus sprint burst, the most sweaty and annoying exhaustion perk in the game

Damn, are killers bitching about Urban Evasion too nowadays? That's just sad. If there were instaheals or brand new parts and many decisives then ok that's sweaty. Urban Evasion doesn't make you invisible you know, you still make sound and maintain visible. And sprint burst is indeed annoying but it is used at the beginning of the chase and after that there is nothing to help them in a chase, i prefer Lithe which gives the same amount of speed boost for the same duration only i can choose when i activate it.
  • scorpio said:

Some of those survivor builds look pretty "sweaty" to me but I guess that's okay? Also I really don't understand this term. Apparently it's somehow bad for the killer to try to get kills/win?

I just think it's no fun to use OP add ons and an ebony mori at the same time. It's just a ######### game, we had to gen rush like crazy and after 1 hook you should be out of the picture, never to be seen again otherwise you get instadowned and mori'd so working on gens is way too risky to do, but you have to otherwise other people don't survive.
Look at our bp, it's almost nothing because some douche decided to use a sweaty build. It's only fun now because he failed miserably and got completely demolished, so he had no fun at all and D/C'ed. That's what it feels like when you get instadowned and mori'd after just a cpuple of minutes into the game ( if it was a good killer ).

  • Please don't play with sweaty builds like that. It's just no fun for anyone, .

Everyone is allowed to play with any kind of build. They are all intended features.
I'm not saying you're not allowed to play like that. I'm just saying that it's no fun. Nobody gets bp, survivors don't even get a chance.
Only props i have for this killer is that he didn't camp.
  • It's not a better perk than Spinechill or Alert.
You just know the location of the killer once you've completed a gen, big whoop. If you did that gen anyways it was probably because the killer was chasing someone else. It's very easy to figure out who the killer is so i really don't see the point of bringing Dark Sense instead of any other important perk, it would be a waste of a perk slot.

But that's just my opinion of course, if you get help out of using Dark Sense then by all means, keep using it ^-^
  • I wait in exit gates to see if someone else goes down, then i will try to save that guy. I only T-bag toxic killers.
  • Toxic for doing the objective? I should post my thousand screenshots of rank 2-4's exploiting the ranking system on PS4 every season with 3 rank 15-20's when I am between killer rank 8 to 13. Killers do not know if they are going against a rank exploiting groups that they "must" camp and tunnel to get absolutely any points... as the 3 "body guards" protect the high ranking person or if it is the 1 in 100 that is a "legit" group.
Ya know what the best solution that I can offer those survivors that do not like to be tunneled and camped?

    DON'T GET CAUGHT! LOL!!! <3

Survivors even whine about BBQ... yet that is THE skill to get my P3-50 Spirit moving off the hook... but guess what? Since the latest patch and "brighter" gens... with "smart" survivors hiding behind the gen to not get their aura seen... well, if you stop my method that I enjoy using for leaving the hook and getting some points by cycling through people (the whole damn point of the perk...) INSTEAD of camping... What should I do whiners? Just AFK and let you get out? Seriously people.

Get over yourself and learn to not get caught in the first place.

Salt and entitlement, a deadly combo.
You know this game is made so the killer is more powerful than survivors and should be able tp catch them? Don't get caught? What a bullshit thing to say. Not getting caught the whole game requires stealth, and not doing objectives. If the killer is remotely capable of looking, he will find someone eventually. I'm doing a gen, the killer comes my way, i run him around for a bit, he catches me. And just straight up camps. It's just a noob thing to do.
  • What about blocking stairs? Isn't that refusing to participate in normal gameplay? I always report people who block stairs.
  • Music is the most annoying thing in the game. That stupid music when you're injured or in dying state doesn't make it more exciting, it's just annoying.
  • Best : Haddonfield or Springwood
    Worst : Ormond
  • Because people who play on console have friends and want to have fun with them.
While the lonely sweaty PC mustard race people play alone to win. 😁
  • Vietfox said:

    I also play Rocket League
Are you good at rocket league? I need people who know what rotation means instead of chasing the ball the whole time.
Highest i've been is diamond 3. I know how and when to rotate. Sometimes i play too patiently even lol
  • Lemme guess. You run in an swf group?

Swfs aren't fun to play against most times. Doesn't matter if you dodge or not, others can, and will.

Blame the survivors, too. The sweaty, the toxic, and people abusing chat. They want easy games, too.
Survivors depip, have mixed rank swf, and often use third party chat for an edge the game is not balanced around.

Yes, i play with friends most of the time. I have multiple people lower than rank 10. We play the game respectfully, no one uses DS and we don't T bag killers. We don't exploit and will only be toxic to toxic killers who camp or have 100% tunnel vision.

Most of my games vs swf i win, and i win quickly. Most of the swf are having fun and are playing with me when they see that they have a little chance to win.

People who are scared of swf only share their worst experiences. Other people get scared too because of some whiny dude who got blinded with a flashlight once. And now PS4 is just a lobby dodging wasteland.
  • Meg is the cutest survivor.
Wraith is the easiest killer to learn.
Hillbilly is broken and unbalanced on bigger and open maps.
Freddy and LF are 0 fun to play against.
Ebony mori should be removed from the game or you should have hooked everyone 1 time before you can start using it.
    Lobby dodging should be punished.
Lithe is the best exhaustion perk.
Killers and survivors are equally toxic.
    Prove thyself should be buffed.
  • Master said:

There needs to be something done about lobby dodgers on ps4, it happens more than 50% of the time. Also people derank on purpose to get easy games and shorter waiting times.

I also play Rocket League and when you leave a game, you get a time out from playing online for a couple of minutes. This should also be the case with derankers and lobby dodgers.

    Opinions?

If the game isnt balanced around high ranks/SWF, why shouldnt they do that? I know it sucks for you because it increases queue times, but try to look at it from the other side.

Ive suggested a queue penalty for DC so many times now......

I often play killer ( rank 2 atm ) and i almost never dodge swf. Swf can be extremely overpowered. But i face out of every 10 games maybe one Ochido wannabe pallet looping swf squad. Life goes on, even when you lose once. And if you lose everytime, maybe take a look at yourself instead of the game, killers are such whiny little bitches.

Most of the time you get low ranks mixed with high ranks and way too altuiristic people. It's most of the time not that difficult. People just whine because of bad games they've had, i too had games with 4 DS and i had to camp to get just 1 kill and still i don't fear swf. Miss me with that weak #########.
  • Oh and as a killer, i was Myers myself and did an unlimited evil within 3 with Judith's Tombstone. I didn't even had ruin but i got all the survivors, the last survivor i found near the hatch and i killed him just mere feet away from it while it was open.
  • As a survivor i played against a Myers with Dying Light. I was the obsession ( no DS i'm not gay ) and he found me first. I ran him around for five gens and even evaded his tier 3, also because adrenaline kicked in right as he swung to me. Then with one clever move i evaded him and ended up right next to the hatch. The killer complimented me afterwards ( which is extremely rare on console ).

  • @Broosmeister said:
When a killer sees swf they dodge on ps4. All i can say is get good at the game or stop playing

I sometimes get dodged on PS4 when I play as 4 SWF but it's not super bad. How many items do you bring and which skins are you using?

4 SWF with voice comm is super strong already and doesn't need items on top. If you usually bring items, try leaving items at home for a change.

I have an bought outfit for Meg & Nea.
We don't always bring items, sometimes 1 or 2 toolboxes or medkits but that's about it. I think they should just add communication between survivors like in friday the 13th so all the killers don't ######### their pants when they see swf but they get rekt every game instead of swf.
  • In short i think noed needs to be removed and DS needs some tweaks.
  • I think NOED can be compared. I have had enough killers who won just because of Noed. It rewards bad gameplay just like DS.
DS has counters and noed too. Noed takes time to get rid of and i just think the killer should know who has DS and who don't.
  • Give him money? A steam gift card?
  • You know what ruins the game for me? Waiting hours for lobbies because killers are too pussy to play against swf and dodge. This happens when i play with bad people as well as good people, rank 1, 10 or 15 it doesn't matter. When a killer sees swf they dodge on ps4. All i can say is get good at the game or stop playing, no need to ruin the game for people who already have to wait way too long to find a lobby.

I get that you have the occasional toxic swf group, i get that you dodge when you see 4 toolboxes or flashlights. But me and my friends play normally and respectfully, and when i play killer and see swf i don't dodge and most of the time i win because they are way too altruistic, they swarm you when you try to hook someone so i can hit everyone with sloppy butcher. Sometimes i get 4 people in way higher ranks who pallet loop like crazy and i get absolutely demolished, but life goes on anyway. Stop whining.
  • So I was playing a match on Father Campbell's Chapel, I was playing against a Wraith who hooked a Claudette in the basement, I went down there and saved her, as we went up the stairs we couldn't go past Midway up. We came to the conclusion that the killer was invisible and was blocking us from leaving.

About 8 minutes later, the exit gates are powered and he uncloaks and uses no one escapes death on me as the Claudette runs away, he hooks me and keeps hitting me until I die, after the game ended, he texted me saying that he can't get banned because he didn't prolong the game.

I reported him for game play abuse, but I want to know if what he did is bannable or not, if it's not then that pisses me off, remember that this was on console, so I'm not sure if the banning system is the same as PC. I would really like this discussion to be noticed

Yeah i had a wraith who hooked my friend in the basement once, then he just stood on the bottom of the stairs, letting no one through. When my friend died we almost got all gens and then he caught me and camped my hook. I reported him for unsportsmanlike behaviour but i don't believe that they really ban people on console.
  • With how this game is structured, beyond facecamping it's pretty hard to be toxic as a killer all the tools for toxicity are on the survivors end.

    1. Teabag spamming.
    2. Hook blocking
    3. Flashlighting on pickup
    4. Leaving hooks at 99% sabotage until the killer goes to use it
    5. Blocking the killer until someone with non-obsession DS gets the proc.

So toxic, you know, these things which aid survivors. I think pallets are toxic, stunning a killer is bullying. Close all windows, so OP that survivors vault faster than most killers.

You probably ######### when survivors say that tunneling and camping is toxic.

You could also say that the 3 gen strat is toxic when you look at it that way.
  • Doing 3 gens on my own, yes that should be great fun. That's what i want to do.
Show my exact location to a killer who can instadown. Super fun.
  • Ruin should slow down the completion time of gens. Not fck with the skillchecks
  • Did the December update to fix the framerate already happen? Framerate is still terrible on new map
  • We need guns to kill the killer.
  • Billy mains would probably think that's balanced too
