yeah, totally agree. I've never heard anyone complain about DH before lol. It's a really good perk, so it's used alot... doesn't mean it should be nerfed. You might as well nerf BT then too. I don't run DH typically as I find more value in SB, but when i'm killer I just expect the survivor to be running it by default and play accordingly. it's like a freebie when I'm trying to figure out the survivor's loadout.
It's used a lot because you don't have the requirement for sprint burst of 99'ing it meaning if you want to use it mid chase you would have to leave a gen or the killer would have to have massive pressure. Without that requirement and distance on command when injured..... yeah you easily get scenario where 4 survivors running it easily add 2 minutes at least for their team to work on gens.
Overall not a very well designed perk in terms of power. Oh yeah don't forget that DH for distance its literally uncounterable vs most killers.

Just because a perk is used a lot doesn't mean it should be nerfed.
80% of killers I go against use ruin, should ruin be nerfed? No.
Its not because its used a lot. (I'm an advocate for nerfing/reworking exhaustion as a whole) It's because you get a perk that makes any m1 based killer suffer as when its used for distance it easily buys at least 30 seconds if you're a decent survivor. And people wonder why they keep seeing blights and nurses when its one of the easiest to use exhaustion perks.

One of the most efficient ways to use his anti loop is use range and a shock delay addon. You can fake shocks to make people green then actually shock so they cant throw the pallet so you catch up by the time they loop back around to it.
-
Yeah ever since Circle of Healing got added you can really only stick to certain killers that have strong anti loop or else you cant really split pressure without wasting the time you spent injuring someone as pig or freddy for them to heal by the time you get to the next person.
-
Only hate it as 110 killers and having all 4 survivors just W key down hallways.

they should, this hurts new players.
if a new players comes to the game and have to verse a swf who are all red ranks and hes a ashe hes gonna uninstall.
Its not like it matters because the grade reset resets everyone to ash 4 so in the end you'd still get "iri 1 killers" against ash 4 survivors. Also could be abused by making several accounts to smurf.

Myers before everyone else. Such an outdated and weak power.

Average killer main daily life, "Buff killers, nerf survivors".
All day, every day.
Idk for game health reasons it's better that way

Probably gonna look at data for another few years like they said "we're looking into dead hard" late 2020.

Mfw survivor meta hasnt been changed for the past 5 years.

It's not about having fun.... it's about sending a message
-
Their audio radius is tiny compared to the ptb where you could hear a boon inside dead dawg main building from outside it.
-
Just let go of the gen before the hook so the gen only loses 15%? If you wanna nerf it then make the pop timer pause when you're in the kick animation.

Iron Will needs to apply when a survivor is slugged.
Even as a joke post this would make it so annoying to go against as proven many times for when the silent slug bug came back.

@DriplordDrew said:
Honestly I don't think this is a bug because when a character is injured they don't make breathing noises. I think they simply never added the breathing noise to a survivor who are injured. I think they just need to add it but have never bothered
There is breathing sounds as proven by david. You can hear his rapid breathing sometimes while injured and running and specifically doesn't sound like a "grunt of pain".

The ds skillcheck is already decently sized... if you want we could make it an overcharge sized skillcheck

Funny since I was watching a stream earlier and 5 windows spawned with 3 on the bottom and 2 on the top in chapel.

This is a stale statement, you can't say what people can not do, and I'm not saying it's right to only play meta stuff.
Also I bet that even if killers were stronger than survivors, camping and face camping would still be a thing. Killers also camp survivors that are bad at looping.
Well yeah camping while being op would most definitely be a thing. There hasn't been a single game where a play style gets power crept but people don't do it until it just gets fully removed.
-
You know what also promotes camping? 90% of survivors running the same 6 perks that allows them to get 40 seconds of chase value for pressing a single button.
-
Because he gets 1 shot before he has to reload with an already too long ADS speed?

We could make Nurse Lunge special and buff the named perks to compensate, for example. Like what was done with Third seal, make Surge and Sloppy work with special attacks as well. With Surge/Jolt, I think thats unproblematic, since there's still the cooldown. With Sloppy, it might be too much for certain killers (Legion) and maybe would have to be toned down a bit.
That approach would allow to nerf the problematic perk synergies (aka exposed perks), but keep the other perk synergies in tact. And it would increase the synergies of said perks with other killers.
I mean yeah but then they would need to make different affects for several addons. Twins has a hemorrhage and mangled addon so they would need to do something different.
-
Its great for mindgame purposes if the killer saw you pick yourself up at least twice. But like a majority of survivor players say. "its useless" because it can't help you whenever you want.

I would say your Overwatch example is not a good example, when I played it, the game was amazingly balanced. Some characters bring more to the game than just kills, so balancing based on a 50% win rate is probably exactly how that needs to be balanced. Blizzard has always been amazing with balancing.
Overwatch is not amazingly balanced in current day. They haven't made ANY meaningful changes since double shield brig zen became meta (brig is still broken af) 8-9 months ago now. That entire comp just disables dive as zen which would be a glass cannon suddenly becomes a fortress because brig exists with shield bash and inspire with armor packs for a ton of burst and passive healing.
Reinhardt just sucks without a lucio because melee does not do well in 6v6 burst damage meta that has a bunch of flank heroes like tracer echo which are far from balanced in their own right. Oh yeah lucio is one of those heros that is only relevant because of his speed aura, his ult is basically cosmetic while the 5 people that play him keep his win rate around 53%.

All killers are getting slight above a 50% kill rate, because of MMR. So when you say solid chance of winning, you definitely mean consistently. It means Nurse is the only killer that is consistently breaking the 50% rule.
Not sure why the developers haven't reworked her yet, since more and more killer players are gravitating to her and Blight because they do break the 50% kill rate rule.
This is why balancing on kills is a stupid idea. In overwatch certain weak characters aren't getting buffed because "they have a 50% win rate" when the play rate for that hero is incredibly low. The more people learn nurse and how to play her and getting more kills as a result doesn't warrant a nerf especially when I see 2-3 posts a week complaining about people giving up first hook against a nurse.
That only inflates the kill rate because survivors don't want to learn how to play against a nurse ending up getting her nerfed for no apparent reason in probably her base kit when its 2 addons that need to be touched.

I'd rather him just get a rework, I don't know why the devs thought AI would be a good idea for a killer power.
Zombies are just that thing that goes on in the background until you notice it's there. His main power is his tentacle which a lot of good nemesis can use in chase fairly efficiently but even then still weak map pressure.

What killer player has fun with a build like that on Nurse though?
Some people have fun winning and not messing around despite what type of game it is.

Not to pick sides, but what M1 perk replaces that combo right there?
Its not a matter of replacing perks, its the matter of I don't want to use the strongest stuff all the time. By removing the possibility to apply sloppy, surge, third seal, etc for different builds in a time where people are complaining about variety is just not a good idea.
-
@GannTM said:

Dude she’s the strongest killer in the game. I think she’ll be fine if not most perks synergies well with her.
I mean if you want more dead mans switch and pain res nurses then I guess that's what you want because that's what you are inadvertently saying.
-
The purpose of ds is to buy time, not stop/counter tunneling.
-
Because... that would completely kill any perk that only works with m1's on her?
I like to use surge on her and since that only applies through m1 downs that means I would get no value from it forcing me to go back to ruin or pop. Overall killing my perk variety for her. I get that not many nurses have perk variety but it's better to have the few that stay using it than to make them like the rest of the nurses.

If you’d stop complaining about it then it wouldn’t be so bad.
"wouldn't be so bad" yeah right. If I just didnt complain about how unbalanced the game is or no one did that then no meaningful changes would come. Its not like they come fast anyway other than the exception for CoH and boil over. They're finally getting to dh even though they have been looking at the data for nearly 2 years now.
I find it better to play the game knowing the state its in than try to act like there isn't an issue.

This game would’ve die ages ago if SWF wasn’t a thing.
Would have been for the better than see what its become today

being able to pre turn on blight.
-
There's no real balance in a game like this where you can solo q or play with friends against a single person. The best possible opportunity to balance this game was to keep it solo q but that didn't stick.
-
Because they can actually somewhat compete in a 1v4 against competent players.
-
Looks good yes but I've seen some of the window spawns and... oof I wouldn't exactly call that balanced.
-
- It's not camping if they immediately go for a save without giving you 10 seconds to leave
- Survivors fun is not your responsibility
- Nothing in this game is inherently toxic, but going out of your way to personally insult somone or go to someones twitch stream/steam profile to comment is.

By the way, any idea what happened to that guy? Ascension hasn't uploaded or streamed in over 8 months. Completely silent on Twitter too. And he seemed satisfied with the game as of his latest video.
Just strange to me.
Hes just omega burnt out from the game and the community
-
I thought they made it so when a dc happens mmr doesnt go up or down.
-
Well given that a former lead dev basically said kindred base kit would be too overwhelming for new players really shows how they think how intelligent we are. Like I don't know what they think is so hard to grasp about "multiple yellow auras = friendly and single big pinkish aura = big bad killer" but it must not be much.
-
Thats the neat thing, you don't. In all seriousness if you aren't a good/very good blight, nurse, or spirit you will most likely lose to a competent swf unless they make major mistakes like giving you hook grabs or letting you get too much value from your perks.

Blight is too difficult to play and can be only abused by pro players using high dpi mouse, blight needs a full rework so he becomes easier to play but less powerful since in his current state only pro pc players can use him.
That is so far from true. I picked blight up in less than 2 days after watching Ascension play him for a couple days. I basically took what he knew with bump logic and such and applied it to my own gameplay and it went from maybe a decent player as blight to a really good blight player. And this is when he had has super responsive collisions (shot blight) with little to no sliding unless it was a haddonfield bench.
I don't know I think he's fine where he's at where a dedicated player can pick him up very quickly. It get's to the point where I see someone with 2k hours with 50/50 struggling on blight I question how they're having so much trouble.

It is an exploit, he was not intended to be able to perform such a move. Exactly as the 180 Oni strike.
Not an exploit there's no true 180 flick now since there's a turn cap. You can still achieve a 180 hit by pre turning then flicking 90 or if you just use adren vial which allows for 180 flicks.
-
I never got the reasoning behind "respecting a kobe". They literally got a % chance to unhook themselves.... nothing really impressive to respect.
-
@Heartbound said:
Did you guys know the killer FOV is set like a foot in front of your actual model because you used to be able to walk your slasher to a locker and look inside of it via clipping?
Blight still had it until his height fix. If you looked down while against a locker you could look inside, it and they tried to shadow patch it once but you could still do it until the height fix.
-
Ehhh they need to overhaul exhaustion as a whole if they're gonna keep map sizes as they are now. Simply nerfing isn't going to be enough.
-
I forgot the whole formula for self caring with COH but im pretty sure the 75% increased healing was 20 seconds so 50% should be around 22 seconds. Either way its still a needed nerf, now we just need a global cooldown after placing it.
-
There's no way to nerf nurse base kit without making her terrible.
