MMR is coming back. So they aren't flip flopping on the killer change because it will ultimately be this way.
-
Who's blance?
-
Man I really hate a starched screen. It's so stiff and uncomfortable.
-
Good thing they took the extra week on this dlc to ensure they did proper testing of the new killer... I see by all those changes it was put to good use...

It literally says killers can break whenrver they like but only certain walls. So... bye bye?

I can't believe this is a serious post. There is always time to check all the boxes. No combination of add-ons can change this.
The pig was not a little tunnelly if you ran into her and then she chose to chase you. You are fair game, even with the trap on. This is completely a git gud situation.

I know this might be silly suggestion but it really helped me get to grips with Billy was running bitter murmur and tinker together with the add on that reduces noise of your chainsaw also enduring helps for all those missed bumps and things also there's an add on for it also I think.
I found it a great tool for getting comfortable with zooming towards a gen navigation and if all else fails bitter murmur can give you that Intel to work off.
I've seen alot of Billy's running new ruin and they can effectively pressure so it's working good also survalance is great on Billy to.
Wish you good luck 🐷 also best tip have fun it's hard learning a new killer don't let the taunts get to you 🐽💖
Enduring? I don't find myself getting pallet stunned often as Billy. I'd avoid enduring, but ruin and survailence are great on high mobility killers.

That isn't the average tho, is it :/
No it isn't average. The guy has absolutely no idea what a killer averages and threw out the max possible number in a perfect world situation to make his point and for some reason people are humoring it.
-
They've already said this won't happen. They don't want new game modes. They don't want to split the player base. It would make wait times longer for the ranked mode, which is their focus. Also, not having the blood grind would get crazy stale fast.
-
New rift and tomb are tomorrow... as per the official announcement.
-
Demi has a lot of issues. Don't use lunge to break pallets unless you are also using it to gain distance. Its not faster. Mastering your portal location can help you track survivors but honestly until they get buffed they are usually torn down too fast.
He should have good map pressure but doesn't. He is to freddy what the trapper is to the hag. But can teleport around, both can lay traps, but the hag is amazing and the trapper is junk. Demi is currently a trapper waiting for his buff

I 100% agree with you I’m a killer main myself and I’m getting really stressed out with the higher ranks like I don’t mind if people beat me fair call but when they spam fast vaults to get me to come over to them so they can teabag me at the gates is just frustrating me so much to the point where I’ve stopped playing killer completely and started playing survivor.
Franklin's really helps during this event. Not only do survivors not want to lose their high priced items they've been saving but they rarely teabag at the gate for fear of losing them to that final hit.
If used on spirit its a 100% hit at the gate if they wait there.
I realize it doesn't solve the problem of survivors being egotistical, but it certainly makes them pay for it.

Hag- 3.8m/s or 110%
Doc- 4 6m/s or 115%
Shape- 3.8m/s or 110% in tier 1, 4.6m/s or 115% in tier 2&3
Huntress- 3.8m/s or 110%
Cannibal- 4.6m/s or 115%

Demogorgon- 4.6m/s or 115%
Oni- 4.6m/s or 115%
Alright, I'll continue to not bother you now. XD
Two surprises here,
The nurse moves that fast? Thought she was slower than the slow killers?
And spirit moves that fast? She's almost regular speed. That's good to know!

You are probably the only one sitting and wondering yes as they already announced there is no Christmas event this year except for a blood hunt to end the rift...

The problem isn't the challenge itself. It's the fact that as Soon as survivors realize what you are doing it's 100% In their control if you get it done.
They can run to the other side of the map to ensure its impossible even with iron grasp and agitation. And failing that they can DC as a final FU making this a really meserable challenge. I'd seriously rather an option to kill 100 survivors in the basement over however many games it takes than this BS.

They didn't put the Shock attack on a cool-down; they changed his passive Static Field to a second, more powerful Shock attack with a cool-down.
Oh awesome thanks, I thought that 60 second shock was going to be his only ability!
-
So he'll no longer be able to shut down loops or prevent window vaults? I mean the timing was already rough but was still possible, but with a 60 second cooldown there is barely any chase use to it now?
Doc needed one of two things to improve, he needed a more reliable way to shut down loops, or he needed a better stall method. Not sure he is really getting either. I mean, an guaranteed shock hit is nice, but every 60 seconds? Really, was over-shocking his main issue?
It almost seems like this is a change to benefit survivors more than the doc himself?

Which is the sequel in this never-ending hag over-reaction, but I'll post it here to now:
The entire history of this over-reaction:
One person said they hate playing against the hag solo.
Another person said they better not nerf the hag because of the above person saying they hated playing the hag solo.
This thread gets made due to the above thread. Unless someone can show otherwise they Devs never once mentioned nerfing the hag. The most they ever said about the hag is that she is one of the most rarest killers to fight against. This is not the sound of an upcoming nerf.

TO be fair legion is the only killer with a Sweater set this year; and has a lot of cosmetics already.
I imagine he will get a blight outfit eventually though. Most cosmetics are based on popularity, and Legion WAS pretty popular but I imagine that has dropped after so many consecutive....changes....so we'll see.
But even the Clown has it. The worst killer of them all.
-
Jesus, really lost on that one. Blight designs are so much better than all other costumes that you can't even compare.
Only the wraith really has any others that compares in terms of originality.
-
Or maybe survivors should adapt a bit and avoid Jungle Gyms when facing ghost face.
I think some killers should be able to shut down certain aspects of the game, its what makes them viable. Ghost face has no increase movement speed like Oni or Billy, his "power" comes from being very unpredictable in his location.
Much like you don't run around loops vs the Hag or Myers (when he can see you to stalk) these types of killers require a different approach and that's a good thing.
He still can't shut down infinite loops.. But his lack of red stain is what really gives him any viability at all where his stalk is a little....useless most of the time.
I will agree that his reveal needs a little work, its very quirky.

I have played over 30 games and each one of them was a camper sitting there waiting and if you get off the hook they tunnel you all day long. I can never get a killer that dosent camp and tunnel hard.
Camping is only bad at low Ranks beacuse a killer can't rank by camping.
You are exaggerating. 30 games and all camps and tunnels? No chance in hell that happened. But it is annoying when it does.
The devs have been working to cut back on it. Great perks that encourage leaving the hook, BBQ being one of the best perks in the game, and making it so you lose points for staying near the hook. They are trying.
But rest assured, I'm a killer main and if you are toxic, I'll be toxic, simple as that.

Am I missing something? I have school, work on the weekends, a girlfriend which means I don't go directly from school to my house and by only completing the tier 1 challenges and playing normally I'm almost at half the Rift... How's that impossible?
Its fully possible. People are just entitled and whiny. Not everyone is meant to get all of the rift rewards. They are for the dedicated. If you must have the cosmetics you can buy levels.
The rewards give people something to work towards no matter how much they play. Some people will get to the top level and be bored long before the rift closes, and they'll be rewarded.
If you just play casually then no, you probably won't finish the rift. That's freaking life. Deal with it. They gave you the option to buy levels, at least you have options.

He isn’t “one of the weakest” though.
You are absolutely right, he isn't one of the weakest, he is the weakest, by far, in a tier all of his own. Now that Freddy is good the poor Wraith hit bottom again :(
-
The issue is probably programming this mode when there are more important things to work on, especially if they feel like the mode can't work.
And I agree that the balancing would be impossible without a change in the core mechanics of the game.
First, the Gens would be instant as there would almost always be 4 person on a gen. So they'd need to add more gens, but how many..? But much more importantly:
Survivor's ENTIRE ability to win is currently dictated by how well they waste time with looping. 2 Killers 100% shuts down looping, the only consistent strategy that works at high ranks.
-
Harassment is annoying not funny, so this has nothing to do needing a sense of humor. I'm certain you deserved the ban considering "snowflake report" is in your title, I'm guessing you don't understand what harassment even is. It'll be a peaceful week on the servers :)

And on top of that to say no notice was given to players, even though they (the players) requested it it, its been talked about for years, there were streams about it and announcements and updates about it for months now.
AND to top it off they did a great job with the update. Some people's sense of entitlement is a little much.

Do dream pallets give off a loud noise indicator when thrown? I'm toying with the idea of just following Freddy around and throwing fake pallets after he put them up.
I believe they do. Keep in mind as well that I can put them up as quickly as you can break them, even in a chase I can put them out without slowing, even through walls, so I will out pallet you :)
-
You already agreed to allow them to make these changes.
In the EULA:
BHVR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE THESE UPDATES AND IS NOT LIABLE TO YOU FOR THESE CHANGES.
Move along.
-
And he is quite fun to play to. His map pressure is very excellent with gen teleport and it has a lot of applications.
In chases I can fake out gens constantly, without break stride in my chase.
BBQ is amazing because after a hook I can fake out proper gens, then can see which way survivors are running to hide, if survivors lag at the gen too long I can just complete the teleport and hit, BBQ gives just enough time to make the call on committing to the teleport or not. Also half the time they come running at my fist looking over their shoulder at the gen they think I'm coming to.
Dream pallets are also very fun to play with, good survivors avoid them though. Snares are meh, but lets be honest, his greatest power is the teleport by far.

At the very least, one should consistently spawn in the basement.
It should spawn in the basement with a built in Territorial imperative. Make the worst skill in the game of semi-use finally.
Sure, they know its down there, and they know you know they know. Good luck.
Side effect = mini buff to leatherface. Better time that ruin break just right.

Typing a message on PS4 is time consuming, so maybe they just don't bother responding. Also when someone sees a message they probably assume hate mail and don't bother checking until later at which point it would probably feel silly to respond.
99% of all mail from DBD matches is toxic as hell, I had to disable my messages completely due to it.
-
Ghost Face pre-changes for sure.
Not sure how I'll feel after the detection change though. As of now I find there is a pretty good duel between me and the survivors for stalk. If that's made to be impossible for me in the hot fix then he'll become useless when another killer has a better use of the same mechanic.
-
Tbagging is absolutely toxic. But you are right, the rest is not.

What, i don't think there's a PTB on consoles so no, but on the killer release he'll be available on all platforms.
...what?
He is asking if the changes to Ghostface on the PC PTB that went live today will be on consoles when Ghostface is released on console on June 18.
Which is a good question considering that I believe the way certification works is that they would have already submitted the Chapter to Microsoft and Sony for release next week?
I'm guessing though that maybe they'll have a day 1 patch for it so he'll most likely be up-to-date.

I think that one of the best QoL buffs that Trapper could get is a possibility for him to reset traps without picking them up first.
Also, streamlining how escaping a trap is would be a major boon for him. Instead of relying on RNG, it'd be a guaranteed base of time that survivors are trapped (with overall time trapped increased with addons). They'd need to channel the whole time to open up the trap holding them prisoner. Adding skillchecks that reset progress if missed as well? Also, its about time to remove the ability for survivors to sabo traps. Seriously, this should have never been in the game. No survivor should be able to take away a killers power. Disarming is bad enough, but I understand why it exists or trappers could make some pretty freaky setups.
Sabo on traps is horrid.

devs said that they wont make any doll killers but who knows maybe its a surprise but for me it wont come to the game for multiple of reasons
1.- hes super small that you cannot see where hes comming from
2.-how he hook the survivors
3.-how can break the pallets
etcI'm guessing they wouldn't make a doll just due to the requirements of designing it. Its almost a waste (so to speak) to go through all that for 1 doll, they would almost need to get a few different doll sized killers to make it worth their while.
As for the hook, they could use magic like the nurse, or just have him "throw" them up onto the hook (Throw works better with lore, Chucky doesn't use magic to kill)
Pallets, I've always pictured him hopping on it to break it. Instead of the kick animation he would just get up on it and hop to break it down, the whole process taking the exact same time as a normal break.
His point of view would be his problem, he would have the view of a crouched pig (or even lower), which is just horrid, however it is already programmed in the game, so that's one less thing to do. He'd need some type of amazing upside as a trade off. Extreme speed (which wouldn't really go with the character) or some type of intense tracking or insta down?
Maybe an Achilles tendon cut from the movie that permanently/temporary (but hard to heal) slows the survivor?

Generally from what I hear and see on streams people like to face the likes of Leatherface, Freddy and Wraith. I can see why
Interesting list that. I guess people just like to win, haha. That's sort of why I like dueling the Huntress, I feel she is strong enough, yet, if I take the time to learn her its a mind game you can usually win as a survivor. You can bait the windows and the pallets. It feels like you earned your win through strategy.
-
I hate playing against the Doc, its always the same 3 gen strat and its never fun to play against. I don't particularly like playing against Legion either.
I must note here that I am a PS4 player, and I absolutely LOVE playing against the nurse. Its a 100% win without a shadow of a doubt.
If you mean which killer to go against that has the potential to win at all I enjoy playing the Huntress, for the mind-game stand off at each pallet and window. Most other killers are just more of the same.
-
They literally talked about working on Freddy in the last stream. Does no one pay attention? No, they did not give a date, so it could be forever, but they are indeed testing changes for him.
It was very brief in the stream, and I believe it came about in regards to bugs on the PTB. I THINK someone said that Freddy's movement speed was slow after pulling someone into the dream world. And the Devs said that that was a change they had been testing internally due to other changes they were testing with Freddy.
None of that is a direct quote but its the general idea. Not sure why its taking so long, I'm assuming because he is really really low priority now, but they are testing changes for him internally.
-
I agree that I hate matches that start without a full amount of players.
There was a really good post that went around awhile ago that had statistics on just how devastating it is to lose even a single person during a match. (Think they were ranting about potatoes, but I could be wrong , though the result is the exact same).
Your odds of winning drops a huge amount by losing a single survivor. It talked about the misconception that people had that losing a survivor would mean efficiency to do the gens was reduced by 25% per survivor, but really its much much higher than that.
Every survivor lost means there is one less person running to the hook to save, one less body block to prevent a hook (which makes all the difference most of the time) one less flashlight save, one less person to potentially be at the right place at the right time to drop a saving pallet, and the list goes on.
Starting with 3 people makes it almost impossible from the start because the built-in "solution", which is to reduce the number of gens, isn't a workable solution, because that 1 gen doesn't matter when, once the killer catches someone, there are only 2 people to pick up the slack, and really as we all know, once it gets down to the final 2 people, you had better be on that final gen to have any odds of success.
The problem is, what is the solution? Drop back to lobby? I personally think the show goes on but no offers or addons are lost for that match. This of course can only apply to matches that lose people BEFORE the match starts, to avoid people loading into a map they hate and quitting to keep items.
But with dedicated servers coming I can't imagine that this will get looked at as they probably think that'll fix the disconnects anyway.

Tru3 should go watch a good killer in action like Zubat and he'll learn how to slaughter survivors without the need to camp or tunnel.Tru might not be the best killer, but he is a good one. And the fact you think he camps means you have no idea what the term means. Tru only "camps" a hook if he sees a survivor go in for a save, he will then stay in the area to find said survivor, that isn't camping. Tru never stays by a hook for no reason unless the exit gates are opened, in which case securing a kill is the best option.
Tru also doesn't tunnel unless he is hunting a survivor and the injured one runs in front of his field of vision, in which case he goes for the easier down, he would be stupid not to. That's not tunneling, also he will frequently return to a hook to see both the injured survivor and a healthy one and specifically go for the healthy one to be fair.
If anything Tru's biggest downfall is that he plays too fairly to survivors for his own good, making it harder for himself.
