Yeah, very tight loops are pain, but depending on the surrounding terrain you might be able to bounce or slide right to get the hit. Most filler pallets are like that and maps which have lots of these can be quite difficult if the loops connect.
Absolutely. A Wesker that knows how to bounce around tight loops are the monsters I referred to. They are awesome, and are hard to beat. That being said a nurse would turn that same loop into a joke in 1/2 the time.

OK, let's go, firstly, ignorance is not necessary and secondly, I am not forced to spend money on an assassin that I have no interest in playing and I already know how it works from YouTube and Twitch to show me how the character plays, and I mean, Wesker doesn't seem to have a cooldown since in the game I made him make a mistake, I covered a considerable distance and he stayed close to me, in another he jumped over a pallet and managed to damage me in time, that is, it's fair the character doesn't suffer these consequences with the power where even if it doesn't contaminate you, it can reach the right distance to cause damage to you? I already mentioned this there, I'm not a professional and maybe I could be wrong. But is this ignorance necessary?
The problem here is that you say things like "it seems".. And "Wesker doesn't seem to have a cooldown"
He does. Its been shown to you a dozen times now. How things "seem", how you "feel", and how things "are" are very different things.

Xenomorph spawns survivors turrets that can be used to knock him out of his power. Use them.
Xenomorph doesn't need more nerfs when he's already in a bad spot.
Agreed. "Ranged killers" typically have a slower speed due to their ability to hurt across quite a distance. Alien doesn't have that. Alien's tail is like Nemesis's whip. It has a small range. Nemesis also moves at normal speed. Both Alien and Nemesis have built in counter play to their power. Nem needs you poisoned, which can be cured, and Alien can be forced out of her power constantly.
Use the turrets, beat the Alien.

Doesn't he have like 12 seconds cooldown if both charges are used? That's not really non existing..
Just another person who doesn't actually know anything starting a thread like they do.
"No cooldown and no punishment for his power"
Like.. #########. PLAY HIM. PLAY HIM. Learn something.
His power has a cooldown, every charge needs to recharge. If you "pull up" your power at the wrong time and then want to "disarm" it and continue with a normal chase its agonizingly long to wait before you can swing your weapon.
Also, if you miss with his power you will be sent flying a few dozen feet in the wrong direction, at which point the survivor gets a chance to extend the chase.
Those are all punishments for using his power badly. However, Wesker is a very good killer, and IF you use his power right, he is a monster. But he CERTAINLY has counterplay. Give me a tight loop against Wesker and I'll make him an M1 killer all day long.

You really like use slinger as an example, I haven't seen one in literally like 6 months, if they even exist anymore
But but... this person said that ALL face campers went deathslinger. EVERY ONE OF THEM. And it must be fact, they said it. lol. What a joke. If people want to camp, they are better off using the Hag, her power still works fine at the hook.
-
I think you probably hit one of those really rare cases that is definitely the exception to the rule. I'm killer sided (I play more killer) than survivor, so when this thing took effect I expected the worst, but I've never had a jump off yet.
But playing as a survivor I've carefully watched the meter, looking for an excuse to rage at it, but it does seem quite fair. I've had a few survivors who were very close at the time I got hooked, and the killer clearly knew they were around and were looking pretty close to me, and I never even came close to being able to jump off. The survivor proximity must have stalled it almost completely.
What I want to know is this: If the killer hooks a survive, and IMMEDIATELY begins a chase with a survivor around the hook, and chases them for the entirety of the hook state, would that be enough to jump off, or is the survivors presence still enough to stall the meter?
I haven't seen it happen yet, usually the chase happens too late (the hook state is too far along to judge) or eventually they both end up leaving, so I can't tell if 1 chase around the hook would get you off the hook.
In theory it shouldn't. A killer should be allowed to chase a survivor around the hook the entire time. Its the survivors choice to be there, it should pause the timer. The killer shouldn't be punished for that. But from what you said above I guess its enough to get off?
Unfortunately there are variables as well. Each loop is different. Is the survivor able to loop such that the survivor is further from the hook than the killer most of the loop? Therefore making the game think you are camping more than you are?

Except, he is pretty bad zoning killer too.
Literally the worst of all roster, too much hoops he has to jump just for a hit, then survivors even have EMPs, wow how "demanding" for practically nonexistent power.
You are dead on here. It is incredibly clunky to play, having to jump all over the map into cameras that will most likely already be disabled (if they are in good locations).
And if all the stars align, and somehow you mange to get a pod into a good area, see a survivor in the right place at the right time, hold them in your vision before they hide from you or blow up your pod with their unlimited EMPS, IF and only IF you manage to get all that together, then and only then do you final get your payoff. That payoff being the survivor will EMP your pod off their back with that EMP they were holding onto since you first saw them. And disable all pods in the area as the icing on the cake.

You don’t get my point. I slipped her and as soon as I did she removed it as if it was a roach on her shoulder. Imagine this.
Imagine if nemesis vaccines worked like EMPs, there’s 4 but they’re unlimited. You can grab one out of the box instantly with no downtime and you can use it while running and it disables your tentacle. Imagine if nemesis felt like that.
I 100% agree. The survivors are in complete and TOTAL control of your power. As he is, this killer is complete and total trash, and he'll only get worse as survivors better manage the EMPs. All you need to do is grab one of the infinite EMPs and hold them until you need them.

I don't mind hit and run as long as it isn't hit and go back to check my 3 gen
So... like where should I run? To comp corner? Should I hit a survivor, run to the furthest point on the map, wait for you to heal and then come back? I'm just trying to figure out exactly how I, as a killer, can actually make survivors the most happy, because really that is what all this is about.
-
Tracking is about reading the scratch marks. It can be tricky sometimes but they will usually tell you when you are in the right area.
But you need to combine that with loop knowledge, because acratch marks dont help in certain places, like a jungle gym.
When talking about replacing lethal pursuer, Thats just a guessing game. Usually i walk to the futherest gen at the start of the match, following the busiest route possible, meaning i pass as many gens as possible along the way.
Easiest solution? Good headphones. Loud headphones will do for you what no perk could dream of.
Final note, when chasing survivors think about the route YOU would take and cut them off. Found a worked on gen and no survivors? Think about it, if you were the survivor and saw you coming what would you do? If the answer is hide behind that rock... Then go check that rock.

I mean we all lose mindgames from time to time. My point is red stain is in the game to serve a purpose and moonwalking is a player-created strategy unintended by the devs that directly negates it.
360ing killers was never intended, should that also be removed? They are just merely skill issues now.

Just want to correct this, we will continue to support our characters in the game - they can still receive buffs/nerfs/bug fixes etc.
To the main topic, there's no plans for individual killer changes in the upcoming mid chapter.
Its very sad that the onryo isn't getting any changes. I think the community was quite hoping she'd get a well needed buff :(
-
People who haven't had time to understand killers always think a new killer is just a better version (or worse) of an older one. People said "whats the point of the deathslinger, he's just a worse huntress". But they both have their place and uses.
The Dredge's teleport across a map is blindingly slow, I'd say Sadako CAN have better map control, there are a lot of variables at play there though with TV timers. With a proper buff to condemned she could be a threat for sure.
Drudge definitely has better anti-loop though, no doubt. They have similarities but there is definitely a place for both.
-
Well. He is not too strong on PC. Lets just start there. He's trash where-ever you find him, but like all killers in DBD that require aiming, he is better on PC for sure.
But its possible to play him on console, but it requires a lot of practice, you really need to learn to lead your shots. Keep in mind though, he's just a bad killer regardless.. maybe that is part of your frustration, but if you are bad a aiming he is definitely punishing to play as.

I think that how much "suck" is left on a Survivor should regenerate over time. Like maybe 1 second of stalk every 10 seconds.
Something like this is the only solution really.
The limit needs to exist as others have said due to how OP some of his addons would be without some type of limit.
Also in solo groups 1 afk person would equal an instadown on the next person Myers found. So there needs to be some type of rework, but he definitely shouldn't have the limit the way it is now.

No it was a lazy way to use her power. This should mainly impact people who would play her like trapper which wasn't optimal way to play her anyway.
Big deal would be if they removed damage from firing her crows without giving something in return for it. This is a positive change to promote better gameplay from artist and make it less annoying for survivors. Win win I dare say.
This is great to hear. Like I said, I didn't have a great understand of her, and I'm really glad they didn't break her before she got in the game like so many, and then we sit around hoping they make her playable in a future patch that never comes *cough Legion *cough

Seems very big. Was one of her best anti loop tools
Yeah I mean that's what I was thinking, if she can no longer shut down loops it seems like its a major hit to her power.
The hook thing is fair for sure, I don't think powers should be overly oppressive to people being unhooked, but when it comes to looping, either you can stop or loop or you can't.

Changes from PTB
Features
- The Artist
- Extended power limitation zone around Hooked survivors to 10 meters (was 8 meters)
- Swarmed Survivors who contact an idle Dire Crow will now have their Repel action reset (previously, it would damage the Survivor)
Dev Note: These changes were made to help reduce The Artist's power to shut down unhooking, and also to make her less oppressive during short loops by giving the survivor a counterplay option.
The patch notes just released and devs didn't ruin her. She's going to be great since this was the main thing that made her annoying, now it's gone which is good.
For just fast PTB changes this look very promising. I'm glad they didn't do something silly, good job devs.
I didn't watch a TON of videos on her, but the change from the injury to resetting the swarm seems big? Or is it not that big a deal?

I'd quit if I lost progress for sure. Quit and never look back.
But I did what you are talking about. I went from PC to PS4 as soon as it was available, so I did start over, but back then I didn't have nearly that much, I guess I had a year or two of PC stuff (I was a day 1 player)..
Short answer, I did it on my terms. But I wouldn't never start over again now.

Here's the best way I can describe the issue with Trickster even after these changes:
Picture this. You have 3 survivors doing a gen. It's about 70% to completion. You arrive as either Huntress, Plague, Deathslinger, or Trickster, all killers that have a ranged mechanic as their power. Here's how it's going to go down for each of those killers:
- Huntress is simple. They see you, they see the hatchet being readied, and they scatter. If they don't scatter, they get hit. If you hit someone, you instantly get an injury and can throw another hatchet at someone else to get another injury. Repeat up to 5 times (or more with belts). The power is effective at pressuring multiple people & respected.
- Plague is a little more complex. Either you have Corrupt Purge or not. If you have Corrupt, they scatter. If not, maybe they try to greed the gen. If you're quick or come in from an unexpected angle with Corrupt, you get the opportunity to achieve multiple injuries with one spew. If they greed the gen and you don't have Corrupt, you get the opportunity to infect everyone, which eventually injures them for future chases. The power is either respected and/or shows its use later in the match.
- Deathslinger is simple. They see you (or they don't, M&A), they see you raise your gun (or don't), they scatter. If they don't scatter, one of them gets shot, dragged, and injured. Maybe others waste time trying to break the chain. You reload. The others are still forced to scatter or else they're next. You're granted the opportunity to injure or outright down someone in a timely manner by playing around the gen. Reload, shoot, hit, reload, shoot, hit. The power is effective at pressuring multiple people & respected.
- Trickster just doesn't get the chance to do much here. They see you (or not, M&A), they see you raise you knives, and...either 2 of them stay on while you throw your knives at one guy and finish the gen in front of your face, or even all 3 if they're particularly ballsy. Or they alternate injuries if you decide to M1. Or if they know you're gonna M1, they scatter, which is the most likely scenario because using your knives to pressure this situation is ineffective. By scattering, they force you to chase one of them. Because landing knives as they're scattering doesn't matter...laceration decay is going to kick in and all that time spent throwing knives is wasted on anyone you don't commit to. The power is ineffective at pressuring in this situation and completely disrespected, and with good reason. The only way a Trickster gets to reliably pressure this is by having STBFL stacks.
There you go. It doesn't really matter if his 1v1 is better. In fact, after the changes he's getting with the hotfix, I think buffing his 1v1 further is the worst move you could make (outside of another Main Event change or two). We don't need a spammy Deathslinger where nothing you do as a survivor matters. We need a killer that has their power respected in an alternative way to how other ranged killers' powers are respected. Because the Trickster is a one trick (ha) 1v1 pony currently, and that one trick just isn't good enough to not make him bottom of the barrel tier.
I agree and I want to focus a bit here on the Plague as I think he is most similar to (ie, needs many "strikes" to injure, like tricker does)
This comparison is where you see how weak he is. The Plague is not considered overly good. But her "knives" so to speak only need to touch someone and they WILL be injured. Also, with one good long shot and she can injure someone almost instantly. If she doesn't commit to the chase the damage continues almost as though she were still hitting them, the exact opposite of the trickster.
Her projectile also has no spread and is very easy to aim (Trickster spread is getting looked at, but lets talk about him as he exists and not what we don't know)
If we just let it here, he is a steaming pile of garbage, but it gets better, they both have powered-up moves. The Plagues is like the huntress on steroids, you WILL get an injure. The trickster? Maybe, maybe not, it may not even help you.
Have we beaten the tricker to death yet? Sure have, good, lets CONTINUE.
The Plague moves at full speed around the map!
Like... I just don't even...

To answer your question of "why shouldn't Freddy be able to ..."
Well because he is the strongest killer in the game, with the strongest power in the game (teleporting) AND on top of that he has a completely other ability. He doesn't need to be stronger, that's why he shouldn't be able to teleport to exit gates.
BECAUSE HE IS STRONG ENOUGH.

-
People complain every killer "why did they release the killer in this state!"
Maybe they listened to feedback and are balancing him more.
People complain that the devs use to put up release dates, and then they had to miss those release dates because of certification issues outside of their control with sony and microsoft.
People complained that some systems get DLC before other systems so they tried their best to stop doing that which lead to the above.
People are just never happy
Let me say this really loud for the people in the back:
THE DEVS DON'T COMMIT TO RELEASE DATES BECAUSE PEOPLE BRING OUT THE PITCH FORKS IF THEY DARE MISS THOSE DATES. NOTHING WAS CONFIRMED FOR TOMORROW.
-
@scenekiller said:

I generally think people are a little harsh on Behaviour, but even I think this is unprofessional and annoying.
It was never announced by the team officially as releasing tomorrow. And they've said time and time again that things are bound to change, just because it followed a pattern before doesn't mean it will again. People assumed, and maybe partially rightfully so, that it would come out tomorrow, but they never said that.
-
Every single match without exception. Every match I'm earning more than enough blood points to replace what I brought and then some so why not? Even bringing one every match I'm still sitting on more than I can ever use. I won't always use addons, but always an item.
Why would I not want to heal twice as fast? Or repair a gen slightly faster?

Not sure if anything is confirmed, my guess is that the killer could be gay or trans, I'm not entirely sure. Some people even stated that the survivor could be trans as well, I don't know for sure.
If the lore doesn't say they are trans then they are no more trans than any other character in the game whos bio doesn't specifically state their gender. Which is most characters. So this killer is as "trans" at this point as the wraith, trapper, gunslinger, etc.

Its not all bad though. A buff is a buff and the chase music is pretty cool too.
I'm not sure what you mean by "could have gotten to your destination faster by walking"
You never stop walking. You toss the bottle in front of yourself, at a distance. Check out Trutalent, he has it down to a science. He throws it in such a way that he is walking out of the gas cloud at almost the last possible instant before it activates.
But generally speaking you toss it in the direction of your destination and just continue walking, there is no slow down so just toss and go.

So don’t use the speed bottles? He’ll be the same Clown as now except with a faster reload. You can even just use the speed bottles at the start of the match to get to an early Discordance proc faster and never use them again, if you want.
Not sure why people complain about a change that they’re not forced to use. This is an ideal rework - Clown works exactly the same way if you want, or you can try using the new aspect of his power. Far from an incompetent change.
Exactly. If you never touched the new bottles the new clown would still be a better clown with a better reload speed.
-
Its not a terrible change, but I was really hoping to see some type of gen defense potion. An option to maybe throw a bottle at a gen to start it regressing. That would have helped the clown with map pressure in a very unique way.
This will work as well I guess. But I do agree with the above poster that I think the best part of this update is the quicker reload speed. That combined with anything else should tip the odds in the Clown's favor.
-
I missed the second part, his power.
Regarding his power, classic chucky was a stealth killer, hiding under beds and the like, I think his power could be as simple as some sort of hybrid of what Victor already is. No red stain and some sort of sound instead of a terror radius. Not sure about his speed or attack as too much speed would make his too strong due to his sneak and too little would make him to slow to chase as I wouldn't imagine he'd lunge like Victor.
The balance there would be tricky.
-
Chucky is my all time favorite horror icon. His movies are gory and always a good time. His laugh (classic, not remade) is the best. I know for sure we'd never get his original voice but he's my number one killer to join the game.
So to answer your question, I want him for the same reason everyone wanted all the licensed characters so far, because he is the best. And "the best" is all just a matter of opinion.
Now that victor is here maybe its a possibility.

What do you mean by "From the beginning"? That seems to indicate that its F2P now or is going to be, neither of which is the case.
Also, no, it wouldn't have been better I don't think. The developers needed the initial income to get to where we are now.

This is EXACTLY the problem. We have one of the most expensive items in the blood web that is now complete garbage. I'd rather them be gone completely as they are now simply in the way in the blood web. Ultra rares should be good by their very definition, not literally the worst item you can receive.

I believe that points awarded for sign in bonuses don't count towards the cap. I'm pretty sure they did that so that people who sit at the blood point cap don't lose the daily log in bonuses, but if you get the bonus before you hit the cap it SEEMS that it still doesn't count towards the cap.
I'm not sure about that, and I have no idea how it would track the points in the total pool or when the cap would reapply after getting the points, but I have seen this a few times now.
