That’s what I’m hoping the devs do but I’m not too hopeful. Last stream they were already talking about nerfing bloodlust. While bloodlust is indeed a bandaid fix that will eventually need to go, in what world is it overpowered or even remotely an issue currently. I think they feel like they have to give the survivors a little bit every time or they’ll rage and quit.Dabrownman1812 said:
Step in the right direction, if they rolled everything out at once some people might just quit the game.Blueberry said:Some exhaustion nerf and a little faster pick up...happy sure..games still not even remotely close to balanced yet though -

More traps on the map, more traps carried by default and they sill need to fix the trap radius. Since the changes you can side step them through a pallet. The survivor has to literally have his foot in it. This has been more just quality of life changes they have made, still very addon dependent.
-
Rule set #2 should be baseline. It’s new effect for the addon is that the traps will never kill a survivor. However, they cannot be removed by any means until the timer ends and it just falls off. Essentially making the survivor think they are just getting unlucky with the boxes while in reality they are completely safe but wasting a ton of time with all the boxes and panicking thinking they are about to die. Gives up their kill potential to waste a lot more time.
-
As Runiver said, it’s either player error or a laggy killer. The hit distance is very consistent and easily pre determined with experience. This isn’t a game issue.
-
The only people that think BBQ needs nerfing are low ranks that find it easier to complain than learning to adapt. There are multiple counters to BBQ that don’t even require a perk.
-
Aside from some exceptions, many maps just don’t have good spots either. I think the real solution here is to either let the killer place them, or make it so you have to cleanse ALL totems to remove the hexes. This would slow down the game as well.
-
This is intentionally because it’s one of the few ways to get more people to play killer. Otherwise you’d have a lot longer que times because so many less people want to play killer because of the games complete imbalance.
-
All he needs is to start with 3 traps at base and can carry at least 2 at base. Secondly, more traps on the map. Lastly, the rng of escapes needs to be fixed. The traps aren’t as rewarding for how many times survivors instantly get out before you can even get there.
-
Wish killers could get the chance to try out fun builds, but unfortately were so weak that we aren’t offered that luxury. We’re forced to use whatever scraps we can get.
-
The only people who think whispers is broken or op are clueless rank 20s that don’t know how to play.
-
Did he actually leave? We haven’t seen him in a whileMaster said:Seems like matth already understood the game really well in 2017

-
We don’t want to “fix” problems by adding counter perks, we should fix the actual problem itself. Doing otherwise just forces everyone to run the counter perks and that’s not fun either. People shouldn’t feel required to use certain perks.
-
Anyone that thinks enduring is actually a “counter” to DS clearly doesn’t play killer anywhere near rank 1.
-
It’s because the devs have made survivors so entitled from catering to them for so long. It’s gonna be a painful bandaid to rip off but the devs just gotta get it over with.
-
Survivors could play perkless at rank 1 and it would still be unbalanced, that’s how bad things are.Hillbilly420 said:@Blueberry said:
Biggest issue this game has had for over two years is it’s balance is completely out of wack. Map design, SWF and totally unbalanced survivor perks giving them 9 lives are the biggest issues. There’s zero fear of a killer right now.And the big thing is that all the problems feed into each other like an Ouroboros.
-
Anyone who plays both sides regularly at rank 1 knows how ridiculously unbalanced the game is. The problem is we have so much of the population that don’t, so they come to the forums and rage trying to stop the changes from happening. Of course since the devs want to cater to these low ranks they refuse to properly balance things. You could make survivors at rank 1 play completely perkless and it would STILL be unbalanced, that’s how bad things are. Visionmaker summed it up pretty perfectly.

To get all 4 they would have to be playing pretty dang bad to begin with. Even if there were 4 asleep, any of them can work on a gen to wake up. If they did absolutely nothing to Freddy but one thing, it would be that no wake up on SC, that is THE biggest reason he’s weak. If they don’t want to do that, they’d have to lower skill check chances massively at base which I don’t think anyone wants. They already made it so you auto wake up when picked up off th ground to weaken his slugging.Jplanas98 said:@Blueberry said:
It’s very simple. No wake up from SC fails. Reduced dream transition, weaken related addons accordingly. No actions during dream transition but pallets, windows and hook saves. That’s all he really needs. For his addons though, remove the penalty on red paint brush, it’s not good enough to warrant slower move speed. For his black box, it should make it so there’s always one person in the dream state in addition to one starting there. So if that first guy wakes up, it will then make the next closest survivor on the map start to fall asleep and so on, so you always have at least 1 asleep.I don't know about the whole "no wake up from SC fails", that's a little OP. If you have all 4 survivors sleeping, all Freddy would have to do is slug them all and hook them since sleeping survivors can't wake other sleeping survivors. And that's pretty much game there. I think by just decreasing the chance of a skill check occurring would help out. Or when in dream transition, the survivor is forced to cancel whatever action they are performing. Or make the add on that makes him invisible while during dream transition a passive ability. And maybe a slight speed increase.
-
Well first, your ideas are making way way too much work for the devs. You’re essentially asking for redesigns and that’s just simply not going to happen. They need quick easy fixes. Bloodlust change, no. We need to fix the actual core of the problem, not buff bloodlust which is a bandaid fix in itself. Finally, yeah I forgot chains yeah it’s bad. I would’ve lowered survivor skill check chances at base a little more but I think if wake up on SC is gone then that could be more than enough to compensate for not needing that. If they didn’t want to remove skill check wake up from SC then yeah the chance would need to be lowered at base by a ton.

There's your typical DbD rank 1 game right there. That's why your killers quit. Too many completely broken crutches for the survivors that you're helpless as a killer.

If the other changes went through I’d be fine with that and I think others would as well.Jack11803 said:@Blueberry said:
Ah well predator is a totally different story, it could be promblematic in this scenario. I was just referring to the base scratch marks. We do also have leightweight that could alleviate some of this though. Not a perk really used much but these changes when through I could see it used heavily.I think predater should stay carpet mode, but add more dance with me type perks, nerf scratch mark time by 3 seconds (always lightweight) and make lightweight effect footstep noise instead

I don’t think scratch marks would be an issue. They already scatter pretty terribly and you can manipulate that if you know how. That said, I don’t think it would be a big deal if they were reduced a little if the rest of these changes went through and I think most killers would agree with that.
-
This pretty much exactly. It needs to be made way easier to lose a killer but way less ability to waste the killers time. Pallet numbers should be reduced dramatically and killer hit box reduced as jack said. Then, they need to add a ton more fog/bushes/reeds/line of sight blockers. The skill needs to shift to being able to make jukes and break line of sight rather than just flick my flashlight at you and tbag while I run you in circles for 5 gens. How this has been allowed to go on for over 2 years is just astonishing.Jack11803 said:add WAY more line of sight breakers. Do some other stuff. Shrink killer hitbox. Basically, survivors are TOO WEAK at losing the killer, but TOO STRONG at distracting him
-
I was actually thinking a wolf man type killer with his ability to be jumping. He could climb trees and jump from one to the other. It would make survivors play completely differently. They’d be looking up instead of ahead.
-
It’s actually an interesting idea if they were implemented properly without being overbearing.
-
The hatch is currently just a free undeserved escape for the last survivor...because. They should’ve gone through with the PTB change requiring a gen to be done.
-
That’s the problem, the rate of success doing that SHOULD be low. The hatch isn’t supposed to be “fair”. The killer won the round by killing the survivors without them completing their objective. This is supposed to be a last ditch small glimmer of hope for a free escape.Kaelum said:@Blueberry unfortunately, the devs have stated that what they implemented on the PTB was way to overpowering for the killer, and is why they are looking for alternatives. It is almost impossible for a solo survivor to complete a gen and not get caught, which is what their data showed.
-
Her addons effecting her ambush are trash because her crouch/ambush are trash. If they actually fixed her then yeah those “would” be good. The only time her crouch/ambush are effective are if you’re playing against low ranks or just idiots. At rank 1 you almost never use them. Her crouch view needs to be raised and the roar from her ambush removed. Rule set #2 should be baseline, as an ultra rare it’s a joke. Her letter is also debatably bad. If you’re sneaking up on them with it they once again are probably low rank or just bad. They should remove the penalties from Amanda’s letter and even then it’s still meh.
-
Instead of buffing killers enough to be able to kill they just brainwashed people to think winning is pipping. Unless I killed at least two I failed. 3 or more is a strong win.
-
I actually like this idea a lot. Gives them more objectives and it helps slow the game down some. You can at least hope that maybe one of them is decently hidden.
-
You don’t deserve any compensation, it’s not their fault ps4 is slow.Jack11803 said:@deadwolfwalking said:
i'm ok with being overlooked as far as playing on console and not getting the dlc till later.... but they really screwed asia over bigtime.... i wouldn't mind if they got an additional cosmetic. maybe a kabuki outfit for the clown or something. not trying to sound racist. i just think it would be a nice gesture....Please give them a free 5k shards. Soon they’ll lose out on the log in bonus if they wouldn’t play until clown. That’s messed up
-
You actually said DS needs a buff...just wow. If you seriously think that you need to get some more hours in this game first. Secondly, we don’t need to fix killers camping, we need to fix WHY killers camp. They camp because the game is completely unbalanced for them. If killers get buffed to be how strong they should’ve been 2 years ago, you will see camping drop off dramatically. Killers have their hands tied behind their backs and are simply using the only power plays they have left. Camping sucks, you’re just looking at it the wrong way.

He’s not being a child. We’ve been fighting tooth and nail to get the game fixed for well over 2 years. It gets exhausting after that long.Dwight_Confusion said:He's being a child by stating he's going to bail on DbD.
I do agree with most of his points though. The exhaustion stuff is well done.
-
If you're reloading that much during chases then you're wasting bottles and making bad throws. I don't think his reload time or speed needs adjusting.
-
The changes are severely needed. Unfortunately it's still not even close to enough to get this game balanced yet. I think DS should be made an exhaustion perk so you have to pick speed boosts or DS as well. Then they can also buff enduring to actually counter DS.
-
I don't blame them, the games "balance" has been a complete joke for over 2 years now and the devs refuse to fix it properly.
-
I like franklins more simply because the time they waste going back and looking for their items later is not to be overlooked. I think that extra time is noticeable.
-
This so much lol. They didn’t wanna make killers strong so they just made them all think they were winning by getting pips instead of kills. Brainwashed.RemoveSWF said:@mcNuggets said:
I used to play killer on rank 1 before rank reset.
I am a killer main, and I still am one.
But I sometimes play survivor too.So yeah, I know what it is like.
But I have always the chance to pip, if I really try.
As survivor I mostly don't have that opportunity, when not playing with godlike looper survivors.Winning and pipping are two different things.
BHVR has brainwashed you good with this emblem bullshit.
-
The base regression speed should be much faster.
-
Raise her crouch viewpoint to math it’s actually height, roar at the start of the ambush removed and Rule Set #2 as baseline is all she needs. It’s a joke that the addon is considered an ultra rare.Bravo0413 said:yeah alls I really want is for them to fix the ambush attack such as the roar at the beginning of the ambush.... also just make it to where the timer starts as soon as the trap gets put on..

We need to fix the core problem not keeping buffing the bandaid fixes.
-
Claudette, her level of stealth is totally unbalanced. It’s especially painful when I’m on Freddy with his vision. I can get away with so, so many jukes and hiding spots on Claudette that I could absolutely never get away with on other survivors. Her clothes should’ve been brighter to compensate or her breathing louder.
-
I want Krampus for the killer around Christmas time. They could give him like a giant creepy mansion as the map.
-
Tyde was totally right in his video. Yes SB was the worst offenders, but all of them needed it.
-
Simply keeps it from being too good I suppose.RSB said:One word - SWF.
One is dead, then everybody knows you are running this.

Hopefully some of the devs see this before they make there Pig pass since they’re making their way through all the killers for buffs.
