  • BHVR give up with cheaters long time ago, they don't care much about this issue

EU servers are plagued with cheaters, at least 1 out 3 match has one

  • Litteraly you just need to move two step away from the hook to check the pod without being slowed for 5 second

Hook, move two step, check, no slow down, done, here you go

    1. Hack and cheat problem left unsolved
    2. Almost half of killer rooster left in a complete poor state without being touched or reworked in years
    3. Killer FoV slider being a joke promise and several other QoL for killer never been added or promised
    4. Garden of Joy and Springwood still exist
    5. Dozen of useless addon and perks
    6. MFT still exist
    7. Infinite loop is not possible but you could do something very similar on some maps ( Haddonfield )
    8. New killer design is..meh
    9. SWF are top of the chain food
    10. Gen speed is still a problem ( and is going to be even worse )
    11. No new mechanic added to the game and this is, by far, the biggest issue right now
    12. MMR system is a joke

So yeah..it's better than few years ago ? Some things are but it could be a lot better

is it just me? haven't went against at least one alien for a couple days in a row already. isn't he supposed to be the most played/popular killer for now? as much as i hate to go against him, it's still weird how i don't see him that often anymore.

Because it's sucks ? A really bad killer

  • @SkeletalElite said:

If the killer is standing on the edge of the radius the bar goes up so slowly that even if the survivors proc reassurance then bolt away from the hook the survivor barely manages to unhook themselves with a few seconds spare before staging. Thats if the bar is never slowed by a nearby survivor and the killer stares at the hook the entire time AND reassurance is used. This is far too slow, the speed decays too quickly with distance. Either the distance needs to be larger or the speed needs to decay less with distance. This is not a significant distance either, standing at this distance an m1 killer can easily react to a survivor approaching the hook before action can be taken. Huntress or trickster are pretty much completely unphased as hitting survivors at this distance before they can unhook is trivial.

Every killer I have played against since the update has been camping, just from super far away. I seriously don't understand why they don't just play the game normally.

I love survivors, really i do love survivors 😂😂

Im not saying cheaters dont exist, its just people are just obviously exaggerating the amount of cheaters they go against in posts like these. Some times even describing a scenario where cheats were most likely not in play but they were outplayed so theyre hoping they were just for an excuse.

Sure man, sure. In fact a generator that goes from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds is normal and i have been outplayed

Is not they claim they have banned 200.000 cheaters right ? Or there are way to many video and proof we are all lying

It IS a strong perk, but not as overpowered game-breakingly strong as people claim that needs to be nerfed to oblivion.

I also agree it could have the endurance removed however.

Who cares about endurance ? The problem of MFT is the PERMANENT 3% speed boost

  • @CS1_6 said:

This new update is going to reduce the numbers of killers in the game. Survivors will not switch to killers because they understand that this upcoming update is in survivors' favor. I am really not looking forward for this update to go live because I already have a bad feeling that the queue times for survivors are going to increase drastically which will only make my friends play less and less.

But that's the plan, soon or later this is going to happen, killers are going to be replaced with bots and the game turn in a co-op pve

  • Singularity has no problem with EMPs and is not map dependent at all if you know how to use the pods correctly and many survivors have no idea how to deal with it or what he can do

No killer, not even Nurse, can reach a survivor on the other side of the map so quickly, many survivors have no idea that in Overclock mode you have a mini spirit fury and its vault speed is increased.

The problems he has are mechanical like Pods that do not attach despite the surface being valid for example or when checking a Pod it selects a different one

The only non-essential changes I would make are to reduce the time the Pods remain disabled from 45 to 30 seconds, remove the autoprint (because it's stupid) and that's it,he i's a really good killer, difficult to play and he requires a lot of technique, improvisation and knowing how it works

  • 1st match ) survivor with speed hack , even with bloodlust 3 he was still faster than me

2nd match ) insta gen repair hack

3rd match ) at least TWO speed hack

4th match ) speed hack but it was such a joy to mori him, even with the hack he was such a bad player

Oh and btw , those are 4 match in a row with at least one obvious cheater

  • I start to tunnel as soon i click "ready" in the lobby

  • I'm seeing many speed hack lately and way to many "strange occurences" during the game like survivor vanishing in thin air after a corner, 3 generator popping at the exact same time and more

  • @Emeal said:

If Killers need a buff they will get one.

    LOL good joke man

  • @ProfessorDunwich said:

Survivors have no problem with it, so it will likely not be touched. Survivors have to be kept happy, Killers just have to show up to be punching bags.

This, until it's not a problem for survivors, devs are not going to touch it

5 gens can be done in 2.20 ? No problem, that's healthy for the game, on and while we're on it let's nerf and obliterate any regression perks in the game

  • Well first there is Afc, then anti 3 gen, then anti tunnelling, then anti killer being able to hit you during the game, then anti killer being able to move around the map, then they have to nerf MFT from 3% to 2.9% permanent speed even if healthy just to compensate, so let's say MAYBE in 10 years

Would be cool if you could have a Nightlight plugin that automatically uploads everything.

Not really a plugin but with this Keybind you just have to press one button and it will upload your match

    https://docs.nightlight.gg/uploading/keybind-uploads-with-sharex/

  • Why not also an " I win" button for survivors ? It's unhealty that this game has no one yet, survivors must win 100% once they log in

  • @lav3 said:

In my opinion, unless you are doing intentional troll or enjoy making people angry (by slugging everyone or dropping every pallets from start etc), I don't see any reason why this is needed in Dead by Daylight.

I mean you don't need anonymous mode if you play normal: doing gen, interacting with teammates occasionally , catch survivors.

Because people harass while you are not in anonymous mode?

Isn't shutting down game chat and blocking comments on your steam profile enough?

(Sorry because I don't know about console version.)

Many people already ridicule others for stupid reasons. Why bother?

I have never used anonymous mode at all and won't use it ever.

Because "every cheaters I've witnessed were using anonymous mode in high rate" and I don't want to give such impression to others.

I don't care if you use it or not.

Just remember you don't need to turn it on if you are doing nothing wrong and confident of what you are doing. It doesn't matter you are good or bad at the game.

People call you dirty camper, tunneler or say 'undeserved 4k', 'useless teammate'?

I swear people who say such thing will try to mess with others for more stupid and silly reasons.

    Just get over it.

Personally I wish there was an option that don't get matchmaking with anonymous mode players.

I started to use Anonymus mode after a brunch of idiots wrote very unpleasant comment on my steam profile. I don't care if they write stupid things like "tunneler" or things like that but once you begin to write homophobic slur well...

I know i could block the profile but i don't want those people even see my profile, not even my name, that's why the Anonymus mode was a good choice for me

Survivors are not complaining about Singularity, so to BHVR, he is fine. Sorry you spent so much time of this, but it’s really that simple.

Unfortunately he's just another killer who will see some adjustments, perhaps, in 5 or 6 years

All in all it's a good killer, it could be improved slightly here and there but overall it's a good c tier

  • Sometimes, but when you face cheaters, swf doing gen in 3 minutes, infinite loops and bad maps the only thing to do is to quit

I don't know how to feel about this map.

I ran 3 games on the the new Borgo and to be honest is even worse than before

Yes it is smaller but there are WAY TO MANY safe pallets, vault, high wall, there are at least two building similar to the shack ( 2 entrance, a vault on the side and a pallet in the middle ) so yeah, still an awful map

Cosmetic and balance/gameplay departments have nothing to do with each other, these comments sound so odd. They're working on it and will have to adjust a lot of things (I don't even recall if in the tome there were challenges for it, so they have to also work on these.) Skull Merchant and MFT getting reworked within the same year of release is such a good sign that they're taking more care now that they ever did before about the gameplay problems, let's not be too silly now.

Do you want to bet the MFT change won't happen this year and, probably not during the half of the next year ?

I'm ready to bet, a minor ( MINOR ) change to MFT happen on summer 2024

  • @dbdthegame said:

No MFT changes at all? In the midchapter? Really? I hope the dev blog is just a shortened version, and there is a fat MFT nerf awaiting us all in tomorrow morning's PTB.

On reddit they said it won't be in this patch note so...probably next year , unless they are too busy with new Feng costume, in that case probably 2040

  • @pandorayr said:

I've seen that devs rework Skull merchant but I don't read anything in the patch notes about this annoying perk.

You know my friend, MFT is just the most used, OP and broken survivor's perl, why dev have to rework it ? Maybe in 6 years they'll reduce the speed bonus from 3% to 2,9%.

God forbid BHVR doin something against those little poor souls

  • @Mandy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3545391#Comment_3545391

we have already considered that, and there will be something in the PTB for it.

To the topic. Once all generators are powered there's no real objective for the killer to go after, hence camping is more widely considered "acceptable" at this stage - trying to bait in other survivors etc. However, when there's still generators left - there's plenty for the killer to do in pressurising these generators.

The anti-facecamp mechanic is for those extreme cases where the killer is standing right next to you. It slows down or even stops if you're chasing another survivor in the area for example.

There's really no need to have this mechanic not work when there's only a couple of gens left, because the killer still has the objective to try to prevent those generators from being powered.

So if there are 3 gen left and i hook someone near a generator i'm forced to leave and can't defend anymore

    Amazing

  • I highly suspect that it's a deliberate BHVR move, in order to have people play only survivors so they can balance just one side and have killer bots

  • Happened to me a lot today to, they are probably cheaters

...Are the Singularity's perks strong and exciting, though? They're certainly fair and balanced, but they're also explicitly the kind of thing I was pointing out MFT as not being: niche and gimmicky. Genetic Limits is the only one with broad application, and it's currently weaker than it'd be otherwise because people are running MFT.

That's my point, entirely. Made For This is a perk that a lot of people would want to use regardless of if it's OP or not, because it's a genuine viable alternative to Exhaustion perks. A balanced version of this perk, whether you think it currently is or not, would also be run very frequently because it's something new and exciting that isn't niche.

Sure, if this perk deactivate after 30 seconds i'm sure NO one will use it. Why ? Because it won't be broken.

See how many people are here defending this broken thing and guess why ? because YOU KNOW it's broken

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3456749#Comment_3456749

You're missing the point a little. IF the perk weren't busted, but it were just a fair and balanced new perk, would you not also see people running it a lot so soon after it came out?

It's not a great metric to use for proving anything, is my point.

    No

How many killers are using singularity's new perks ? Let me guess..no one or just few.

How many survivors are using MfT ? Almost everyone

That's the difference between a fair and balanced new perk and something so OP and broken

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3456731#Comment_3456731

Is it not just as possible that it's our first universally-useful and not niche or gimmicky new perk in a while? At least on the survivor side, anyways.

If a new perk is actually comparable to currently often-run perks, and viable when compared to them too, doesn't it make sense people would use it a lot to try it out?

    Please give me break

EVERYONE know this perk is busted and broken, of course it's useful, it's broken as hell

  • Funny how this perk is so "balanced" and not at all problematic that it has already become a meta perk in practically every build and in every match at least 2 survivors are using it. All in less than a week that this perk is live

    Wondering why

  • @miniwengsel said:

So old DH was very strong (overpowert) against every Killer. The strong Killers like Nurse, Blight and Spirit needed some extra seconds to get the down and dead harding against them I would say was fine. The weaker Killers got absolutly gestroyed by DH and I would say dead harding against them was rlly mean, but what does MFT now?

MFT hurts especially weaker killers. If you think about it its clear. The strong killers are mostly strong beause they have movment. A Nurse dosent care about MFT, a Blight with speed addons doesnt care about MFT, Spirit ...etc

but for a weaker Killer MFT can rlly hurt for example:

    1. M1 Killer only without a good chase power to counter: Pig, Trapper, Myers, Ghost Face, Legion, Onrio, Knight, SM, Buba (if the survivor doesnt heal)
    2. The killer uses his power to gain a little distance so he can strike before he reaches the pallet or window, which is no longer possible with MFT: Freddy, Doctor, Billy and Pig again
    3. Killers that are so slow, that MFT makes a Rock to an infinite: Deathslinger, Huntress, Trickstar

So MFT shouldnt exists, because it punishes players for playing weaker killers.

PS I know Huntress and Deathslinger arent weak, but they are basically uplayable against MFT and its a nightmare to play aginst it.

Playing The Deatslinger vs MfT is simply impossible

  • @Sharby said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3456418#Comment_3456418

Just like resilience gives you value from getting injured, the risk if staying injured. If you heal every single time you get injured, you are losing a lot of pressure.

There are four times as many survivors as there are killers, arguing that the populations are the same is what is actually stupid imo. The killer is also fully in control of their efficiency due to only having one person.

Sorry to say, but "mathematically broken" is a nebulous statement that doesn't mean anything. There is no threshold for how good a perk is allowed to be unless it is breaking the game, this perk is not breaking the game.

Some perks will always be the best, that's why they become meta. Forcing every perk that pops up as strong to be useless is bad game design, the devs should be releasing perks that replace the old meta ones to keep the game fresh. As long as we don't get meta changing perks every update there is no issue.

There is no threshold for how good a perk is allowed to be unless it is breaking the game, this perk is not breaking the game.

This perk is breaking the game actually. As long one or more survivor carry this perk in a match, is an overall nerf to every killer speed. Let's say 4 people run this perk (and it's already happening ) mean that during the game the killer is always hindred in chase

Maybe ONE survivor with this perk is not a big problem but FOUR ? People often forget a perk may be not strong or not so impactuful on the game until they realize it can be used by 4 survivor at the same time. It's like BNP, sure ONE is not a big deal but FOUR ? That's why this perk is busted and broken

  • MfT is just broken beyond any reason

I dont think saying to someone that he need to learn how to play is an insult, I didn't throw any slur. And no it is not ME that decided that he didn't play properly but what would you do if you get tunneled and slugged? what if by saying to that player that he needs to learn how to play actually makes him more curious and tries to play without doing these things

To be honest i'm the one who tunnel from the very beginning of the game so...and i don't care at all about your feelings or how to you think i should play. Then, i always say gg if i win or loose so..as said, if you insult someone you should be banned

I would love to do that but trust me, after a killer tunneled you the whole game, slugged you and was still toxic you can't just not say anything like that he should learn how to play "properly"

So YOU have decided that he is not playing properly so you have the rights to insult him ? Ok

  • What if you simply don't say anything ?

  • IF you throw anykind of insult to someone then yes, you should be banned

I would like to get people to rally with me to get some basic changes implemented with Dead by Daylight. I was happy to see everything I suggested before (about the HUD) was implemented. I have about 4000 hours in the game and I have over 17 devotion. I think that these changes would make my games a lot better! I'm sure they'd make other's games better too!

    1. Add a HUD for the four categories of blood points. This will help us to know what we still need to achieve in order to get the most blood points out of the game. It could be kept at the top right corner of the game.
    2. Let us see our MMR for each killer and for survivor. I have been paired with people that are either way too high or way too low MMR for me. I'm guessing the "MMR" system is not a true MMR system at all. Or, at the very least, give a detailed description of how the MMR works at BHVR.
    3. I know this one probably will never be implemented but it doesn't hurt to ask. Allow us to trade in lower tier items and addons for higher tier. For instance 10 or even 100 brown med kits for 1 yellow med kit.
    4. Show Daily Ritual updates in the game (similar to Tome Challenge updates).
    5. Show Achievement updates in the game (similar to Tome Challenge updates).
    6. Give daily rewards everyday for players that login for that day. If they don't login, they don't get the reward. It would encourage players to login and play. The rewards can be small or large.
    7. Give more codes for more bloodpoints or shards.

If you are reading this, please let me know what you think :)

I personally don't care anymore about Bloodpoints or MMR but i made the same suggestion for point 3 and 8

But we know the truth and we will never seen those changes come to live

We'll obviously keep an eye on the situation and see what further (if any) changes would need to be made.

A few things that you've mentioned are things that we have been discussing so we've definitely been thinking of similar things.

Remove autoprint, this is the main issue. There's no reason a survivor could pickup an already printed and ready EMP while running in a chase. Even make 0.5 seconds action required to print a new one but, at least, they have to stop and interract in order to pick up a new EMP. Everything else are minor bandaid that won't fix the problem

  • @BlightedDolphin said:

I feel like one major reason these games fail and Dead By Daylight didn’t is the that, as fair as I can tell, all those games allow the survivor role to fight back. And usually this led to the killer role being miserable to play while the survivors felt more powerful than the killer which lead to the killer being having to hide more than the survivors to avoid being stun locked for ages. The player base dies because queue times are skewed in an already small player base.

Then they either completely ignore this and let the game die or go overboard on killer buffs and make them overpowered, making the survivor role miserable and then the game dies.

F13 might have lived had it not been for the lawsuit, but even they followed this formula.

DBD was very survivor sided when it released, but the lack of ability to fight back and stun locks didn’t make you feel so completely powerless and all the overpowered stuff did eventually get nerfed without them making killers broken. Sure it’s not a balanced game, but they didn’t flip-flop between balancing and are actually making some effort to balance it and keep it fun.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre has potential to be really good, but people have already figured out a way to stun lock the killer for like 30 seconds.

Exactly, in the end Friday the 13th turned out in "Let's Kill Jason" , people were loggin in just to hunt down Jason instead of..well..trying to escape and survive

If it didn't have two entrances I'd agree with you that is strong, but the second entrance that leads right to the room with the ramp to the roof DRASTICALLY decreases it's safety (and that vault is pretty bad on the roof too). The other window is somewhat safe but even then it's hardly as strong as the top floor window in the garden of joy main building, or some of the windows on haddonfield.

There is the vault on the top near the generator that connect to the pallet in the green room ( and a window or door on the right ) or the red room with the vault, also the stairs going down somehow act like a jump and can be used for balance landing. There's the pallet under the base and if you jump on the window on the right you can run under the tunnel, up again on the stairs, again window rise and repeat

  • Yeah it is, the gen on top is just a free gen for survivor, there are 3 god windows, one infinite loop, 3 pallets and probably i've miss something

  • As i said somewhere else, this map has the strongest main building in the entire game

  • Well the new map has the new strongest main building in the game so just for that it's garbage

Aside your post being a lot of blabbering without any real sense:

If you are good as Killer, Survivors will not have much time to do the easy tasks like repairing Gens. If you are good enough to force them into nearly constant altruistic actions, Gens will be very slow.

Sure, in fact Trapper, Sadako, Clown, and many other killers are the best chaser in the game and can pressure gens all the time without trouble. What ?Sadako Tv take more time to turn on than a gen be completed ? Skill issue indeed. What ? Due bad spawn location if i have an M1 killer one gen is already done before i can even reach the other side of the map ?Skill issue again yes.

The food chain in this game is SWF - Killers - SoloQ that's the truth and that's BHVR fault but keep crying about those poor survivors in need of more gen repair speed bonus, more speed bonus, more survivor sided map and blame killer that have to tunnel/camp/slug

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3453325#Comment_3453325

Thats the thing - your job as Killer is to prevent Survivors from having the "press M1 until a Gen is done"-gameplay. If you put no pressure on them, it is easy for them, since everyone can repair Gens.

If you pressure them, they need to be good to have a (better) chance of escaping.

Pretending that Survivor is easy only works when the Killer is bad.

Yes, you're right, repair a gen in 30 seconds, heal in seven seconds, have several basekit bonus, 90% of the maps on the survivor side, are indeed difficult task to accomplish

Sure the casual SoloQ player is just dead meat, a semi decent SWF team can beat almost any C tier killer because BHVR refuse to rework/fix those killers, a good SWF team can win almost any match without much effort simply because the insane bonuses and coordination

So what left ?Oh tunneling and camping and 3 gen but guess what ? BHVR is coming to rescue the poor survivors

In a game i had yesterday, a group of survivor in the post game chat, were amazed and they were complain about how strong Scavenger is. THEY were complain about their own OP perk ( and yes, ineed it is an OP perk )

But let's pretend killers are just crybabies , there are no balance issues, maps are fair and equal and keep going until the queue time will hit again 10 minutes because no one will play as killer anymore

1 2 3 4 … 7
